This product is good and with no doubts helps with flare ups. The only problem I found you need to clean them pretty often, because the holes become clogged during the bbqing. When you start cleaning them there is a big chance that some of them brake, because they are pretty fragile... They are not cheap, and replacing them consistently makes them pretty expensive...

Best Deals for No Flare Squares

I wasn't using my BBQ much; because I disliked having to stand over the smoke constantly shifting the meat and using a water bottle to tame down the flames. I did some research and found these No Flare Squares.

Installation was easy. I removed all of the ceramic tile "biscuits" on the two grates below the grilles and then turned the grates over to get a smooth surface to lay down the Squares.

I then took two large fatty meat paddies and began to cook them. There were only a few flare-ups from fat dripping onto the metal burner below the Squares, but the flames each lasted only a second. It appears that the small holes in the squares extinguish the flame quickly. This made me glad that I didn't buy the other similar tiles on Amazon at 1/3 the cost. They have less, larger holes so this "self-extinguishing" capability might not work as well.

The other benefit was better heat distribution. My BBQ has always had a hot spot in the rear right. I found that I didn't have to shift the two paddy positions back and forth to ensure that both were cooked to the same degree. This is another reason why I'm glad I didn't buy the cheaper tiles; as they're thinner and wouldn't have spread out my hot spot as much.

I'll be using my BBQ a lot more now that I've converted it to the No Flare Squares!

These are great. I picked them up at a local store who no longer carries them. Amazon to the rescue! You can cut these up into smaller pieces if just cooking for a small family or leave the bigger piece on if you are cooking more food. We put them right on the gas grill and all food (even ears of corn, veggies in a grill basket) come out with a fabulous wine flavor. Highly recommended!

I bought these to give more flavor to my aged meads. I cut each stave into thirds, baked them wrapped in foil at 400 F for two hours, and then used 1/3 stave per gallon of mead. So far, the flavors are melding nicely, and the high ABV of the drink is mellowing thanks to the oak aging process. I would recommend this to anyone thinking of using it to age homemade wine or mead.

I loaded the thing up with six half racks of baby backs. I think is is twice as much as the unit is designed for, but the results were very good. I'm not sure about the potato spikes. the spuds would cook quicker than the ribs...

this is the 3rd rib rack i've owned like this. it is without a doubt the best i feel is on the market!! i use the end spikes for potatoes, half ears of corn , and side chunks of pork roast along with the ribs, or boneless chicken breasts and boneless thighs when menu expanded. just takes some experimenting with timing the finish.. your product is the tops!!!!!!!!!!

I grill multiple times per week using various techniques (direct grilling, indirect grilling, smoking, etc.). I had been using a four burner Brinkmann that finally rusted to pieces and was not worth overhauling. I was looking for a replacement with a tall hood so that I can stand up chickens, an easily installed/removed warming rack that is not connected to the hood, heavy-gauge components in the fire box that will last a long time, plenty of BTUs per square inch, and lower price than a Weber Summit.

The grill was delivered in good condition. Past reviews note that the assembly instructions are hieroglyphics only with no narrative instructions. Some steps took some thought about what the pictures intended. The fasteners come jumbled in one package; sorting them by size before assembly helped to figure out which fasteners were called for in particular graphical instructions. I had to use two of the bolts in the package labeled "spares" because the fasteners package did not contain enough of the shortest bolts. The spares were longer than the instructions called for, but they fit fine.

I was skeptical about past reviews noting the difficulty of assembly, and figured that these reviewers were inexperienced or unhandy. However, mounting the side shelf and side burner was extremely difficult--screws were difficult to reach and pieces did not fit flush together.

I have used the grill six times, and it works well. The burners, ignition collection boxes, and grease management components in the firebox are all heavy gauge stainless steel. I had to adjust the ignition for the rotisserie burner for it to work reliably. I wish that the heat disbursers were heavier.

This is what I was looking for. At least so far, after six uses, I am happy with it. I will say that the Weber Summits seem to be better constructed with heavier materials (and stainless steel grates, which are more expensive), but this Broil King seems to be a much better value at half the price.

Cheap King Kooker 22PKPTS 22-Inch Outdoor Cooker Set

I ordered this well made and solid unit. When it was delivered there was a label on the box saying that 'this unit is not for frying a turkey' I looked around the King Kooker site and the only difference other than the BTU number (higher on this one) is that the base on this one is round and on their advertised turkey fryer it is square. I am replacing a King Kooker that I lost in a barn fire and I used that one for years AND it had a round burner base! Guess what? I'll use this one to fry my turkeys because I like the higher BTU number on this one. I'm alredy checked out on the burner with a round base too. TA DA :)

Purchased this item via one of Amazon's outside vendors after reading the description provided on Amazon's site. While the item appears to be of sound construction and capable of frying everything I wanted, I specifically chose this fryer because it came with a lid for the pot. Both in the description and the photo, there are references to the lid being included. However, when the item arrives, there is no lid and no lid mentioned in the manual. In fact, now going back to the King Cooker site, there is no mention of the lid. My fault for not doing more homework, but don't take the Amazon description as an accurate one.

I love all things BGE and this is a substantial improvement to the OEM grill. Its more like VIKING quality, heavy, meaty and clunky. It may be a challenge to get in and out while hot to add more fuel, but its the BOMB when it comes to cooking. Was initially worried about airflow, as the space between the grates are smaller than the original rack but its not an issue. Leaves great marks on meat and since its thicker throughout, it stays hot which means the marks are more pronounced. Only concern is that the lower (original) grate was cast iron and that got brittle an broke after a couple of seasons. I replaced that with stainless steel I will update over time but after the first use 5 stars.

Love this addition to the Egg. It is far superior to the traditional grate that comes with the egg, it gets hotter and maintains the heat longer and also leaves nice marks on the food.

This is a "must have" tool for grills with ceramic coated circular grates. It does not scratch or damage the ceramic coating like bristle brushes.

Within 3 weeks of putting it on (put on late Nov) it had ripped and torn to shreds with just the wind and mild snow (we live in WI). Clearly canvas covers are the only way to go.
