So far we've used the roaster with dark brown beer and Sangria wine. Both chickens turned out delicious with crispy outsides and moist (even the breast) insides. We cooked the birds to an internal temp of 180 degrees (at the deepest part of the thigh). The beer "roaster" was cooked at 400 (came out the crispest) and the Sangria "roaster" was cooked at 350, on a gas grill, cover down, as per the instuctions included with the product (watch those wings!). We turned the tray 180 degrees every 30 minutes until done. Our next venture is with unsweetened apple juice (made from frozen concentrate). I guess it goes without saying, we love this Camerons cooking device! P.S...we also cooked baked potatoes on the device while roasting the hens, which were also delicious.

I've only used it once, but it worked great. The stainless steel is a fairly heavy guage metal so it should last awhile. The "can" which the chicken sits on is not the size of a beer can. It is a stainless cylinder 2" in diameter and almost 5" tall. The pan is 11" in diameter and the cylinder screws onto the pan.

It is easy to use and easy to clean. The potato spikes are easily removeable, yet will securely hold the spuds on the pan.

It works as advertised and contains all the liquid which drips off the chicken, keeping the fat out of your BBQ and preventing flare-ups.

I had never done a "beer-can" chicken before. My first try turned out wonderful. This item really made it easy. I haven't tried, but I do believe it would hold a small to medium-sized turkey or duck.

Before you buy, make sure it will fit into your BBQ and allow you to close the lid. I assumed it would fit into mine. It amost does, but the lid is cracked open just a tiny bit. No problem getting the chicken cooked, but if your BBQ is a little on the small size, it might present a real issue, so measure before you order.

Many comments about beer-can chicken recipes mention how dangerous beer-can roasting can be. Lifting a can of hot beer off the grill with a chicken sitting on it can even cause an explosion of liquid and fat! Others mention that fat drips into the coals. I really like this. It's very sturdy, easy to carry without the fear of dumping the chicken on the way in from the grill. I've used the potato/vegetable attachment, but have these humongous potatoes from Costco and I keep putting them in too late to be done when the chicken is. On clean up, there is usually a pretty good greasy mess in the pan. And I'm glad it's not in the grill. So I would never put any vegetables in the pan.

While contemplating a considerably less substantial vertical roaster, I ran across this one and after trying it I really appreciate the way the chicken turns out and the fat drips out of the bird however, it goes down into the area where the veggies are cooking and defeats the whole purpose. This can be somewhat remedied by draining the fat and placing the vegetables in the pan toward the end of the chicken's cooking time, removing the chicken when it's done and returning the pan to the oven to finish cooking the veggies.

Additionally, I am really disappointed that no matter what I place in the resevoir, no additional flavor is infused into the chicken.

these seem like they will never wear out!! I run a hot dog cart and was replacing the foil ones every 3 weeks (daily use). I put these on last week and they're awesome. Had to replace rusted out venturi tubes on my grill and these did the trick. They appear to be well built and are stout. They are stiff and I had to work them a bit to get them aligned with the gas tubes. One of the provided screws lost its head (reamed off with moderate torque...not more than used on the other three.)when I was screwing it into the burner.

The Genesis EP series is Weber's mid-line set of grills. I had had one of their lower line gas grills for about eleven years, "stored" outside the whole time, uncovered, in a winter climate. While it still works, it was finally starting to fall apart (possibly from repeatedly burying it in snow) and was showing decreased performance, so I decided to get a new grill and move up some in quality. My main criticism of the lower line grill was that it didn't do as good a job as I'd like searing fish and steak. So, I was tempted by Weber's Summitt series of grills, that have higher btu's (48,000 btu). But, I found the >$1,500 price tags for the Summitt series pretty discouraging, and was going to settle for an E-310, which has 38,000 btu's. Then, I came across the EP-330. This grill has an additional 10,000 btu burner located between two of the three standard burners, and so in that region of the grill probably outdoes the Summitts in heat/searing ability. Overall, the grill puts out the same as the Summitt (48 K btu). And, the Genesis series have a double-walled hood, which helps heat retention, especially in a windy climate. It also has a stainless steel grate, which I like. Basically, with the EP-330, you're getting all the performance of the Weber Summitt series, but at a little bit more than half the price (at this writing, ~$850 vs >$1,500). Assembly was straightforward, and build quality is extremely high: far superior to my previous (very sturdy/long-lasting) lower line Weber. Everything about it screams out sturdiness and high quality. And, the performance has been outstanding. It will truly sear a fish steak or beef steak to give nice carbonizing on the outside with a rare/medium rare interior. And, the double walled grill top has meant I've been able to use the thing even on windy days. It's hard for me to imagine a better grill than this: sturdiness, quality, performance and price are all great. VERY highly recommended!

I've had a Weber grill in the past, and thought it was great, but this new EP-330 is simply terrific! The sear station feature cooked thick steaks perfectly in minutes -it put beautiful sear marks on the meat and a nice crust on both sides, and the middle was still medium rare and juicy as could be. All of the controls have a great feel to them, and igniting this grill couldn't be easier (my last grill, not a Weber unfortunately, had to be coaxed with multiple tries to start). The mark of a great grill is how hot it gets, and this one had its stainless steel flavorizor bars glowing cherry red in minutes -I've never seen a grill do that before! It gets wickedly hot, and fast, too! The stainless steel grates are not the cheap, flimsy type used by other grill manufacturers -they're thick, heavy and solid stainless steel. The only knock I have is the two hours it takes to put this thing together, and it really requires two people to assemble it properly, but it's worth it. I wish I had replaced the old grill with this beauty a lot sooner. It's simply the best grill I have ever owned, and I've had many over the years.

Most grill pads are too small. The pad really needs to overlap the grill by an adequate amout to catch grease spills that can really mess up a composite deck. At my former house, I bought 2 of the larger ones and put them down next to each other. Not one grease spot, ever. I think that this mat is about 30 in . Ever thought of making one 36 in wide? Grills are much bigger than they used to be. Nice product!

Pro Product reviews from many sites indicate this is a superior grill for the money.

Con -Packaging appears to be inadequate for individual unit shipping. The variation in handling stress induced by shippers doing their best to get things to you on time appears to be beyond the design limits for the packagingSuggest you do not order online.

The long version of the story (with happy ending):

First, I would like to say that I love Amazon and do a lot of business through them.

However, I think in this case they have very much let me down by selling/representing this product. The product itself is reported to be of high quality and is rated very highly among LP gas BBQ grills on Amazon and several other sites. I was very impressed with the reviews and decided to purchase the grill despite several comments about shipping issues. I should have listened to the negative shipping reviews. Online purchase history has taught me: if more than 2 or 3 people mention a specific issue with a product, the odds are high that you too will experience the same trouble. In this case, people commented that the grills arrived with the outer packaging destroyed and the grill components either missing or damaged (some severely). Two people commented that the supposedly new grill appeared to be someone else's return.

My experience The first grill arrived on time with the outer box looking pretty rough. The box was barely able to contain the contents. When I opened it, it was obvious I was not the first to do so. There was no internal packaging material other than two pieces of cardboard. Both side shelves were bent and the plastic frames were shattered with pieces of plastic missing. The main gill enclosure (top half) had a large scuff mark with paint removed. I didn't notice that at least 25% of the components were missing from the box until I opened the second (replacement) shipment (which was noticeably heavier). When I returned it to the UPS store they were surprised anyone would ship such a heavy item with so little packaging and protection. They commented that the box looked like it had been to Afghanistan and back.

The second grill arrived with the outer box in similar condition to the first. Although this grill had many more pieces inside, there was more packaging material, and it looked as though it had been repackaged carefully, it was obvious that I was not the first person to open this box either. In this case the main enclosure was the only part damaged (both halves). The upper part (lid) had half of one side broken off. The lower half of the main enclosure had a 6 inch long crack on the same side as the lid. This box obviously took quite a hit...... So, Christmas gift is blown. No time for a replacement and I really would not like to risk another shipment. This entire purchase has been a difficult experience with all the waiting for UPS to show up, returning damaged units, giving up on UPS and dropping off the units myself etc... you know how it is waiting for the deliveries/pickups.

So, why do I think Amazon has let me down this time? This unit was purchased from Amazon LLC directly. I was shipped a used, or at least someone else's returned, item, twice. I specifically paid for a new grill and would not have considered buying used. With the reviews and comments from others, it is/should be obvious this item is packaged only for palletized group shipments, not individual piece deliveries. I won't whine about it, but someone is getting an explanation/story rather than a long awaited present that took a lot of research and effort to locate and purchase. I suppose a picture and a promise will have to do this year. Thanks Amazon.

Update: Amazon came through for me as their reputation and my personal history with them suggested they might. I was disappointed, and this was/is a bad online purchase experience, however they did go out of their way to make it right.

They provided a partial refund as a form of apology for the shipping damage.

They shipped another unit overnight, no shipping charges to me, so it would make it in time for the holidays. However....... though this unit was delivered by a different service, it too was damaged (although not as bad as the other two). Amazon customer service was excellent, professional, understanding, listened well, and did what they could to compensate me for what is fundamentally out of their control (packaging not designed for rough treatment during shipping). Amazon once again provided a partial refund, offered to ship anything else I wanted from their site overnight for free, and also have UPS pick up the third grill for me. Amazon also said they were pulling this item from their site due to these damage issues so no one else had similar experience. Since it was so close to the holiday, and this is a present I have been arranging for a friend to give to her husband (she can't leave the house due to medical reasons) I needed something to present on Christmas day. I decided to contact the original manufacturer for replacement parts so I could repair it myself after the holidays. Amazon agreed to extend the return date for complete refund if my efforts with the manufacturer were unsuccessful, and back me up if I needed some extra help getting warranty parts..... I contacted the manufacturer who was at first reluctant to assist me. The manufacturer said there was nothing they could do because this was a shipping issue caused by Amazon use of fast shipping and the shippers not having adequate personnel to deliver (minimum two people on the truck). I informed them my grills were delivered by two people each time, and let them know what Amazon had already done for me/dealt with. I was put on hold for a bit, but when the service representative came back on, he was completely in my court and is now sending every part that had even slight damage to me by the first week of January.

Summary: Bad experience on both sides of the transaction, but Amazon stood by their customer service promise and made it right for me. Still a loyal customer.

Good quality grill that is made in North America by a quality company. Looks great on my deck. Everything works as advertised . It gets very hot for a two burner grill. The only issue I had was the shipping package allowed for the side burner to get bent. I was able to straighten it out but it still has a little dimple. Assembly is OK but you need to be able to put things together as it does require tools. I would recommend this for a mid priced grill.

I did a lot of research and found that Broil King Crown 90 fit the bill for super heat,workmanship and overall customer satisfaction and the fact that there was only one left in stock was an additional motivator.Shipping was going to be $80 so I thought it would be a perfect time to join the Prime club and pay $75 for a year of free of 2 day shipping and get the grill in time for the holiday.

Well,the grill arrived in 2 days alright, but the box looked like it was air dropped in. To my surprise none of the components were damaged which was great.And they all looked great on the floor of my garage for a week while I waited for all the hardware to arrive from Broil King. Strike Three Arrived Damaged Again!!!

OK, Amazon took it upon themselves to send me a replacement grill when my request was for a refund.

This is now the third grill shipped, and in keeping with all prior, it is completely damaged!

The box once again looked like it was abused by a herd of elephants. I'm starting to think that this

is just not an item that should be shipped. The bottom of the cast iron grill oven was cracked up an entire side corner, the handle was once again broken, no instruction manual or assembly instructions, and was completely missing some important parts like the nuts and bolts, the rotisserie burner, the cooking grids, and who knows what else!!!

I am now done and will not be ordering other such large items from Amazon again.

My advice, purchase your grill from a local retailer. Inspect the contents before leaving the store.

Round Two

Purchased a new grill after returning the previous used one from Amazon Warehouse. Very dissapointed, also arrived damaged! The box looked like it survived a battle. I get the feeling this product just isn't packed properly to be transported. The handle for the hood was broken, so can't open the grill. It's also supposed to come with a porcelain coated grilling surface, which it didn't. Lots of other dings and dents as well.

OK, Made the HUGE Mistake of purchasing a used grill from Amazon Warehouse. The grill arrived in a box that was soo badly beaten up that nothing inside could have survived. The item description said that the packaging was damaged but that the grill was in "PERFECT" shape. I should have known better. Both the top and bottom parts of the cast iron oven had huge cracks that ran completely up the sides of the corners. As if that wasn't bad enough, many of the plastic parts had holes and chips and dents. There was even a non descript iron rod broken into three pieces. I will never trust Amazon Warehouse with this type of purchase again.

Super yummy used twice, once on smoked baby-backs and again on some yellowtail fish. Delish on both. A nice, clean, citrusy taste that was a wonderful surprise! Just a side note, the chips burned a little hot (not a problem if you keep an eye on the BBQ... but be sure to do so). Absolutely not a quality problem, just a hot-burning wood, but the taste is WELL worth a little vigilance while parked by the barbecue with a cold beer and a handy squirt bottle of water. Enjoy! :D

LP gas grills are in all the home stores, but not natural gas grills. My last Weber natural gas grill lasted 12 years, but I could not get replacement flavor bars for the old models, so it was not worth pressure washing it again. So we ordered this natural gas grill, the perfect small size for our grilling needs. (But large enought for a turkey.) I like to read the assembly directions prior to doing the assembly, but I could not "read" them because the assembly instructions were pictures without words. The instructions were very understandable, but it is important to be mindful of the explanation marks. Assembly was straight foward, and in a couple of hours, it was a grill. Everything was included, and we did not need to buy anything additional to connect it to our natural gas connection. Even though they sent a dead AA battery for the electronic igniter, we're still giving five stars for being shiney, new, and working well when we grilled.

I did a lot of research before choosing this Weber model. Personally, I don't care about having a side burner or any of the other "extras" you can get (and pay more for). The cooking area on this model is plenty for my purposes. I just wanted a solid, high-quality grill, with a high-quality, heavy grate that transfers the heat well, a grill that can get very hot, fast, and that has a nice heavy lid that keeps the heat in so it works like a convection oven. I also wanted to buy a grill that will last. This grill completely fits the bill and I have no complaints. I definitely recommend it if your needs are similar to mine.

You really can't beat the quality of a weber grill. It isn't the 1 or 2 season grill that you see in most big box and home improvement stores. This thing is really built well with higher quality parts and great customer service. I'm not sure if every part is made in the U.S., it could be, but you can tell you're dealing with an American company that does take pride in their workmanship. That is enough right there to convince me to buy their products.

I took off a single star because during the shipping process, 5 parts were bent or messed up. I expected this might happen because of the rough shipping that UPS usually does. It could be packed a little better, but I called Weber directly, and they Fedex overnighted all the parts to me in very well packed containers.

The grill has done an excellent job in cooking. The porcelain enamel grates are great because the porcelain is actually baked into the grate. It has the look, texture, and performance of cast iron without the need for seasoning and constant maintenance of cast iron. The fire is very even across the entire grill. It doesn't flame up because of the placement and shape of the flavorer bars. They have steep angles that keep food and grease from accumulating, but all it to smoke and all that extra grilled flavor.

If you're like me and would rather buy a quality product for a good price and not deal with inferior Chinese garbage, buy a Weber. You won't be disappointed!

The Weber Spirit E310 Natural Gas Grill arrived in a single large cardboard box that was amazingly compact and cleverly packed with many very substantial stiff members to prevent shipping damage for all but the worst shipping treatment. The grill has good mechanical design and suitably strong components. Assembly instructions are concise and error free. No spare fasteners were included, and an electric screwdriver really helps (except prohibited for 8 locknuts).

Installation and Users Guides came with grill and also are available online at . This octogenarian assembled the E310 grill in about three hours, requiring my spouse's help just once to lift the heavy top assembly from the box. I retrieved the Grill Assembly Guide online before the grill arrived, familiarizing myself with every step. Natural gas hookup by a gas technician cost $131, including recommended gas pipe parts (quick-disconnect and locking shutoff)

The three burners in the Spirit S310 can increase temperature about 50 degrees (F) per minute. The first burner has the igniter that operates with an AA battery and that lighted burner lights other selected burners. A chain with a clip for safely lighting with matches is also provided as backup.

The two porcelain-enameled, cast-iron cooking grates are very heavy and substantial. Heavy steel rooftop-shaped bars are below the grates and above and between the burners; these porcelain-enameled Flavorizing bars cause any dripping grease to vaporize and add grill flavoring. A very efficient slide-out grease tray below the burners empties into a catch pan that holds a disposable aluminum drip pan. The front two of the four sturdy castors lock to hold the grill in place.

Once installed, the Weber grill utility is tremendously enhanced by the several hundred recipes furnished online at as well as in apps for iPhone, iPad, and Android as described at [..]. Even glancing at a typical recipe provides enough essential information to proceed quickly in your own way.

After five weeks and four cooking occasions, I am totally satisfied with my Weber E310 grill. It is demonstrated and recommended to all our visitors.

I compared quite a few NG grills before deciding on this one. My Wife put it together in a little over an hour while I was at work. She said it was VERY easy to put together and she is not mechanical at all. This thing gets HOT, and QUICK! Nice even heat and the cast iron grates a a breeze to clean with the 12" Weber brush. I just do it right after I take the food off while everything is still hot. I cooked the best Delmonico steak I have ever had in my life a few days ago on this grill. It seared it perfectly and it came out awesome. I'll admit the grill feels a little "cheap" and flimsy, but man can it cook everything we have thrown on it perfectly. Have used charcoal grills for many years and the food has been very tasty but clean-up can be a real chore. I have worn out many of the grill brushes that have been sold through the years. They never seem to last very long and their cleaning ability has been average to poor. This product cleans my grill grate better than any I have used in the past. The dense amount of stainless steel bristles work to remove the solids left over from cooking much better than I had experienced in the past. The handle is solid and angled to help make the job easier and faster than other brushes I have used. I imagine it would work equally as well on gas grills so you might want to give this product a try. I have not had this brush very long so I cannot speak to its ruggedness and longevity, however it does pass the eye test for a product that is solid and well made.

This is the best BBQ brush I have ever used. I would recommend this to a friend. I like how sturdy the build is and how it has a nice weight to the unit. The brush is nice and wide so you can clean your grill quickly. I like the stiffness of the bristles, as I do not have to push down too hard on the brush to get the grill cleaned nicely.

Great for a charcoal grille, but not functional for a gas/propane grill with a warming rack above the cooking space. For that, you need a brush with a longer handle so you won't burn your hand.

Nice grill cleaner. Bristles seem sturdy enough to last a while. A long handle would be nice, but can be overlooked if not cleaning a 500 degree grill. Would buy again.
