This part fits just like the original but the price seems way too high for one piece of bent metal, especially considering there are four of these on the grill. To replace all 4 is over $70 on a $350 grill. First, let me state that I (usually) love Weber products. When I was a younger and broke, one of the 'symbols of affluence' for me was to be able to afford a Weber grill. At the time, they were (for me) a high priced status symbol, i.e.: they weren't 'some piece of crap made in China that you'd have to replace in 3-5 years'.
I now own a Weber 'Genesis Silver A' gas grill (that needs to have the frame rebuilt because of rusting issues), a Weber 22.5" One Touch Silver, and a Weber 18.5" Smokey Mountain Cooker. I use them all regularly. As a welder and metal fabricator, I can now clearly see where the weaknesses are in their products.
I bought a set of these to replace my grill's original bars thinking that the stainless steel wouldn't rust; that they would last longer than the original ceramic coated ones. I was wrong.
Weber products are, usually, very well designed and made, but with them recently shifting their production overseas (read: East Asia / China) and as a result of their attempt to lower corporate costs by using low grade materials and cheap labor, their products simply don't last as long as they could / should. This makes me sad.
As a result of Weber's attempt to lower costs, they are using CRAP materials. The stainless steel that they use in their flavorizer bars is the lowest quality stainless steel available. I read in the review by 'N. Krumpe' stating that a Weber rep actually told him that a 'flavorizer bar will rust within the first year...'
Yes, they will. If they are made out of crap, cheap, low-grade stainless steel.
OK, enough ranting.
Don't waste your money.
Weber makes their stainless flavorizer bars out of the lowest grade stainless steel available and they will rust, which means you'll be replacing them again in a few years. If you have complaints and call Weber about it, you'll be told (aka: 'spin') that it's normal (yes, it is normal for crap stainless to rust under heat; but not good stainless) and that you should just be quiet about it.
Bottom Line: Don't waste your money on these.
If you need replacement parts for your Weber grill, search the internet for high grade stainless parts or search out a fabricator that will use grade 304 stainless or better and have the parts custom made.
Or, if you're really a stickler for quality and are willing to pay for it, get a Viking Outdoor Grill. Their products are 'upscale' and the quality is spectacular.
And the answer is 'no'. Not an employee, not a shareholder. Nada. Just a fan of great stuff.

Like other reviewers, I purchased these stainless steel flavorizer bars to replace my rusted enameled bars. After two years of average use (grilling once a week or so during the summer), as I was cleaning my grill I realized that these stainless steel bars are rusty...quite rusty, on both the top and bottom.I was surprised, so I contacted Weber customer service about the rust on the stainless steel bars. They explained, and I quote:
"The flavorizer bars will rust within the first year of use. This is normal due to the amount of abuse they take protecting the burner tubes. We recommend that you replace the bars once they break or fall apart. I would suggest rotating the bars for a longer longevity."
Fine. No problem. Based on Weber's recommendation, I assume the flavorizer bars are still doing their job, even if rusty. However, I now believe I was too hasty in replacing my old bars. And, when it's time to replace the stainless steel bars, I may just replace them with the less expensive porcelain enameled bars.

These are not cheap, but they are very heavy and will last a long time.A little tip while replacing my old ones, I noticed that only one was really worn, the other four were in good shape; so rotating the most worn bar to a different position (before significant wear) would enable the set to last longer.

Just on a lark, thought I'd check Craigs List. Turned out there was a guy in the San Francisco Bay area making them out of heavier gauge stainless than these and selling for half the price. (He takes credit cards and will ship them.)

I just got my stainless steel flavorizer bars through craigslist, like another reviewer suggested. If you go to craigslist (for San Francisco area), you'll find this email: sale-xxppw-2368277637@craigslist.org. I sent my email, and got my bars a couple of days later. Fulfillment was almost instantaneous. $28 + $9 shipping. The gauge of stainless steel is also slightly thicker than the standard. Can't do much better than that. I would PREFER if they made them in stainless, since I have replaced them twice over a period of about 5 or 6 years, but I have never seen them in stainless. Cheap Broil King 958644 Imperial 590 Liquid Propane Gas Grill with Side

This is an excellent grill because of the evenness and adjustment of temperatures. The linear valves and double burners really make the heat even and consistent. I've been a Charcoal (weber) grill person for years and bought the Broil King (BK) after I read consumers report and their highest rated large grill made by Huntington, which I later found out is Onward Manufacturing. So then I looked at other models and choose the 590 model which has large grill, rotisserie more usable and standard features, drawers to put the gloves, outside trays for the condiments, hooks and front and sides for the tools. Note that the front I think requires using square/rectangular hooked tools of BK to match the indent/hook area on the grill. Their temperature gauge on front I think starts at 50 deg F, so you know it's working before you turn the grill on, as it shows the current temperature (as long as it's above 50), many others are pegged and you don't know they're working til you turn the grill on and wait and hope to see the needle move. This grill, made in North America (Canada), uses substantial materials (thicker). It weighs in nearly 250 lbs.
I bought this through AimToFind, whom I had not heard of before this purchase and they did an excellent job, the price was the lowest, Including shipping and was delivered off the truck, off the pallet and placed in our garage so I could assemble later. A few days later a rep from AimToFind called the house to see if the grill arrived safe and sound. They also sent an email and I responded to the email. While I had somewhat of a hard time to locate this grill on line, there were a few vendors that did stock and offer reasonable pricing. AimToFind is based in PA so shipping to east coast and midwest is pretty easy, fast and not many roads to travel. Some vendors were from CA and that's too far banging around on a truck for all those miles.
Note the BK 68492 Grill Cover fits great and it too is substantial, the description is PVC Polyester and I hear that and think of plastic, but this is the type of plastic that they make 'ballistic' back packs out of...I know not exactly, but it is heavy fabric and not 'plastic'. When I was on amazon searching for a cover, I had gotten some hits on a different cover with some bad reviews, I went to the manufacturer and found the model number for this heavy duty cover and then searched amazon and bought it. And it is heavy and hopefully will last for years on the concrete patio seeing afternoon sun everyday.

I replaced two Trager Pellet Grills to buy this Broil King. I produces heat like no other gas grill I've cooked on. I did add lava bricks on top of the flame spreaders because I was getting flare ups cooking chicken. I like the fact that it has five main burners and that I can tame them down and cook many items on the grill surface at one time. On the left side I can grill steaks and over on the right side I can grill veggies at a different flame setting. In the middle I can be grilling something else.The grill arrived by common freight carrier. There was a shipping problem and a later delivery than promised but Amazon was way over the top in helping me resolve the problem. The assembly manual could be written much better! It is typical of what you get these days but shouldn't be for a grill of this caliber. I had one screw strip out on a handle during assembly. I fixed it from my screw stock. The Broil King emblem on the cover as assembled by the factory is loose.
I like this grill but don't love it. For the cost I think it is cheaply made. The cover while heavy is still not as heavy as the higher end Weber and some others. Positives are the two drawers that I really like for storage of my cooking items.
Having it to do all over again I would not buy this grill. BUT I have to preface that statement because I have cooked the last 6 years on a pellet wood grill. I wouldn't buy a gas grill again and not just the Broil King. My problem was that I had been using the wrong pellet grill brand all these years. I had great tasting food but difficulty in maintaining the proper temperature. I discovered after buying the Broil King that I could have purchased a different brand of pellet grill that would sear steaks! That was the main complaint of my sweetie that she didn't get a seared steak. I'm sorry but nothing beats a pellet grill for flavor of food. If you haven't experienced food cooked on a pellet grill you don't know what you are missing. The first time I grilled chicken on the Broil King I realized that it just wasn't the same. Hence, I have my Broil King for sale at a loss!

Best Flexi-Flame Lighter Deals
The Flexiflame is an inexpensive, serviceable lighter. It's a shade over 11 inches long and is made of plastic and metal. Mostly I use this lighter to start fires in the fireplace, but it can also be used to light candles or charcoal in charcoal grills.
The neck of this lighter is indeed flexible easy to position and holds its shape.
Be aware that the lighter is child resistant, not childproof. It takes more than a little effort to squeeze the igniting trigger, making it child resistant.
The flame can be adjusted to some degree using a little switch.
One can refill this lighter using lighter fluid, but I haven't had the need to do so yet.
The flame will stay lit in a gently breeze, but when it's windy out the flame may die prematurely.
I also have a Scripto wind resistant flexible. It's much better in the wind, but I like the gentle flame of the Flexiflame better. Also those requiring an extra long lighter may want to look at other models available.

This is the one for anything except rotisserre.
It has a series of adjustable vents accros the front and the back, and a circular adjustable vent on top. This allows for very precise air-flow contol.
The grill adjusts to 3 levels, four if you're inventive. After a couple of uses it's virtually air-tight with all vents closed, so you can cool down an aggressive fire in a heartbeat.
I give it 4 stars reserving the 5th for it's Meco cousins which are of the same funtional design, but more pricey due to retractable wooden tables on one or both sides and a wooden shelf down below. But they are all superb as grilling machines.

My older Meco grill was built much better than this one. There is alot thinner metal on this new grill. It is not as sturdy and the metal gives more. It is alot lighter than my older one. It cost twice as much as my old one but, it was made alot cheaper. It is hard telling how long this one is going to last. Keep this in mind if you want to buy one of these. This is the newer model S670 #2780301. The previous model was 2780001 so check the number before ordering. I was planning on the smaller s470 but Northline express had a sale on the s670 for about the same price, so I jumped on it. It arrived by freight (free shipping) and the driver rolled it into my garage by himself with a special dolly. Plan on 2 or more people to help move it. My son and I moved it about 5 feet at a time working towards my backyard.
It came well packaged and completely assembled except for the 2 side wings. A few screws and you're done. They recommend a 20# propane tank but I'm looking for 30-40# because if you use all the burners the propane disappears fast, so have a spare ready. I thought the gimmicky knob and grill lights would be useless, but now I find them very helpful at dusk and night. They're useful gimmicks! The hide away rotisserie motor is another nice touch. It frees up shelf space when not in use and you don't have to attach and unattach it when needed. You just pull a tab and there it is ready to use.
I don't want to drag this out but I've used all of the grills functions and the results are excellent. It's expensive but worth it. I would assume the s470 is just as good for less. Look for overstock and other sales. I think I got a great deal. Good luck!
Oh! There's a newer cover for it also 7555 with side vents instead of the front and rear vents that leaked water into the grease tray.

So we were going to build an outdoor kitchen, in the end the 15K gave us pause. We still wanted a new great grill. This grill is it. I like everything about it. I have grilled steaks, seafood, chicken, vegetables and they all turn out outstanding. The searing station is terrific. I really like the built in smoker. I put some chips in every time I grill. For real smoking I use my weber smokey mountain smoker. However, this adds some nice flavor.The only thing I have not tried is the rotisserie. Another great feature is all the burners giving you tons of flexibility. We grill every night I am home so this really is how we cook.
The grill comes almost entirely put together. You will be grilling in no time. Other items to get: cover, weber pizza stones (makes some awesome pizza) crisp crust with a hint of smoky flavor.

I bought this not-so-cheap grill over my wife's objection because I grew tired of cleaning up the charcoal and squeezing the food onto my previous charcoal kettle grill. And if I was to going to give up on charcoal, I wanted to go first class. So far, it's met all my expectations, and more. My wife even quit complaining about the cost. It's clean, cooks evenly, heats up in a flash, and is extremely versatile. We've pretty much quit using the in-house cook top. One complaint: My plan was to hook the grill up to our house propane tank, having purposely plumbed the propane line right onto our rear deck. The easy-to-follow instructions for setting up the grill, however, don't allow for this option. In fact, the gas line provided with the grill is specifically constructed to make it impossible to hook up to anything other than a portable propane canister. It took me multiple trips to the hardware store, wasted money on parts I never used, and the expensive advice of a plumber, to finally hook up to our house propane. Now that it's done, it works great. Love this grill. Bought it as a surprise gift for my boyfriend and so far it's perfect. I love the handle lights and I don't think they're gimmicky. It's very useful on our deck when we grill at night because we grill year round.I don't see any openings where any rainwater could get in so I think that whatever design flaw may have caused that problem has been resolved. I also ordered a cover because why wouldn't I cover it, right? It's an investment that I expect to have for a lot of years.
We plan to put new burners and flavorizer bars into his old Weber Genesis Silver and pass it on to his daughter. That's a pretty good indication of Weber's quality.
Putting it together was very easy, it's mostly already assembled. We got the inside delivery because it was going onto an upstairs deck. Delivery was great, no problems.
My boyfriend says he feels guilty when he uses it. OK, that wasn't my intent to make him feel guilty but as long as it makes him smile it's worth it.

Have used charcoal grills for many years and the food has been very tasty but clean-up can be a real chore. I have worn out many of the grill brushes that have been sold through the years. They never seem to last very long and their cleaning ability has been average to poor. This product cleans my grill grate better than any I have used in the past. The dense amount of stainless steel bristles work to remove the solids left over from cooking much better than I had experienced in the past. The handle is solid and angled to help make the job easier and faster than other brushes I have used. I imagine it would work equally as well on gas grills so you might want to give this product a try. I have not had this brush very long so I cannot speak to its ruggedness and longevity, however it does pass the eye test for a product that is solid and well made.

This is the best BBQ brush I have ever used. I would recommend this to a friend. I like how sturdy the build is and how it has a nice weight to the unit. The brush is nice and wide so you can clean your grill quickly. I like the stiffness of the bristles, as I do not have to push down too hard on the brush to get the grill cleaned nicely.Great product.
