These appear to be exact duplicates of the originals. They work just like the originals. I would PREFER if they made them in stainless, since I have replaced them twice over a period of about 5 or 6 years, but I have never seen them in stainless. They will eventually rust out, but are good for about 2 1/2 to 3 years for my usage (I grill around twice a week).
