Review of Broil King 996644 Imperial 490 Liquid Propane Gas Grill with Side
There are no local Broil King distributers/retailers in my area. I did all my research online. When the grill arrived it was more than I had expected. The three drawers were well built with high quality, full extension glides. There are 3 beefy tool hooks on each end and two more on each of the two condiment trays on the front. It gets HOT. Four burners get the internal temperature up to 600F in about ten minutes. It has excellent temperature control. The stainless steel cooking grill is the most substantial I've seen. Very high quality rotisserie included. The propane bottle is fully concealed behind a cabinet door and it mounted on a slide out shelf. Side burner is brass. Main burners are stainless and, this was important, can be purchased for $13.50 from various online retailers. The electronic spark is battery powered and works very well. Overall cabinet construction is solid and well ventilated. Everything is either stainless steel or epoxied aluminum or steel. A power strip on the back has a power-in plug and two power-out plugs for the rotisserie and lights that illuminate the grill. I started out shopping for a Weber, but I'm glad I found the Broil King. A comparable Weber without rotisserie was $2000 plus tax at local Lowes. The Broil King was $1148 delivered.Makes great grilled food. Temperature comes up fast and hot! I love it so far. I made a rot. chicken with it. Obama would have loved it. I feel sure he loves chicken.

Review of Kingsford Non-Stick Corn Basket
We like this type of corn holder for our gas grill. Hope it last longer than the other one we had, that was not this brand. These corn baskets are perfect for cooking corn on the grill. The corn comes out tender and cooked just right. I brushed oil on mine before cooking and turned them half way through cooking. Clean up is a breeze, it really is non-stick. I highly recommend.

This grill is very easy to use. It's best feature is that it folds up to the size of a small attache case for portability. Very easy to carry, and sets up in under a minute.
It does not require a lot of charcoal, and cooks very evenly.
After use, if you dump the charcoal out (somewhere safe), it cools within minutes and can be packed up again.
It seems somewhat flimsy, but sturdy enough for use. The down side is it probably will not last for hundreds of uses. I have had mine for about 6 years now, used it maybe 30 or 40 times, and it is showing some signs of wear. Still works perfectly, but I bought another one 3 years ago to have as a spare if the original one fell apart. The spare is still in its box!
One warning: Make sure the surface under it is fireproof. I have used it on the grass, and the grass under it was scorched when I was done. You probably would not want to put it on a wooden picnic table, or on the floor of your boat!

Surprised at the quality for the price, seems durable. Larger than I thought but folds to a compact size. Overall, I was very impressed, works great.Best Deals for Bayou Classic 500-410 Fold-and-Go Grill - Terrific for Tailgating
if you've just used it, and u use water to cool the coals down, thats it, ruined, it will rust almost instantly and the thin steel used will have holes all over!Honest reviews on Bayou Classic 500-410 Fold-and-Go Grill - Terrific for Tailgating
Product arrive with paint coming off one of the fold out legs. After only 2 uses the paint on the bottom of the grill it's starting to come off from the heat. On the good side the grill cook quickly and very evenly, and the fold out design it's great to take to a park for a picnic or tailgating. Just don't expect it to last you more than 1 grilling season. But at that price you could have one every grilling season.Tuesday, September 16, 2014
Cheap King Kooker 22PKPTS 22-Inch Outdoor Cooker Set
I ordered this well made and solid unit. When it was delivered there was a label on the box saying that 'this unit is not for frying a turkey' I looked around the King Kooker site and the only difference other than the BTU number (higher on this one) is that the base on this one is round and on their advertised turkey fryer it is square. I am replacing a King Kooker that I lost in a barn fire and I used that one for years AND it had a round burner base! Guess what? I'll use this one to fry my turkeys because I like the higher BTU number on this one. I'm alredy checked out on the burner with a round base too. TA DA :)Purchased this item via one of Amazon's outside vendors after reading the description provided on Amazon's site. While the item appears to be of sound construction and capable of frying everything I wanted, I specifically chose this fryer because it came with a lid for the pot. Both in the description and the photo, there are references to the lid being included. However, when the item arrives, there is no lid and no lid mentioned in the manual. In fact, now going back to the King Cooker site, there is no mention of the lid. My fault for not doing more homework, but don't take the Amazon description as an accurate one.

Charcoal Companion S/4 SS GrilL Clips CC5134 Reviews
2 out of 4 came with the teeth not lined up so they are crooked to the side. Otherwise it's fine, grilled some asparagus on it and it is indeed pretty neat.Nice idea, but unless the sizes are EXACTLY the same, the food slips out. For hard foods, such as carrots, the clamps can't grip the food. Really defeats the purpose. On the up side, they seem easy to clean, but I doubt I'll use them again. I just dumped the vegetables in heavy duty tin foil which did a better job than these clips.

Bought this for $9.99 at HomeGoods the other day...thought it was a little unnecessary, BUT we all love this and it makes just enough for our family of 5 right now...looking to get another for my son's school bbq basket to be raffled to raise money for the school...may have to go back to HomeGoods, but if not will be coming back here as it's that great! It cooks the burgers so easily...makes for easy putting on the grill and flipping and taking off...each one comes out the same and portion sizes are great! the little mini press that comes with it is kind of a waste in my opinion (as you can just press the meat turkey/hamburger/etc...right into the round molds) but fun for my kids to play with...I will be using this for years to come...and may need another as the boys are under 10 still! Make grilling, serving, eating hamburgers So Easy!!! btw...bought dinner rolls not hamburger rolls (or pita bread works good too) for true 'sliders'!

This grill keeps the sliders from turning into 'meat balls.' Cooking with it is convenient 9 burgers at once. The grill cleans relatively easily.Best Deals for Charcoal Companion Mini Burger "Sliders" Set
I used this for a family get-together to make sliders. Unfortunately, after we had finished eating and I went to wash the slider holder, I saw that the black paint had BUBBLED off throughout the holder, right where the sliders were, onto the meat we ate. Whatever paint was left on the holder had a rough chipped feeling and the paint edges were lifting off the metal. This was beyond disgusting. It should not have passed quality control. It was also made in China, so who knows what was in the paint we swallowed.Honest reviews on Charcoal Companion Mini Burger "Sliders" Set
The grill is perfect when grilling your sliders. It keeps them together and you can flip all 9 at the same time. The slider mold is almost perfect but it misses a burger lifter. After pressing the burgers, it's hard to get them out. We placed a fork underneath the burger in the mold in order to lift and preserve the burger shape.Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for Charcoal Companion Mini Burger "Sliders" Set

I ordered this to replace a burned out burner tent that was buried in lava rock. It needed to be replaced, as grilling had become an unpleasant experience. It served two purposes. It covered the burners in an older Char Broil grill and provided a place for the placement of the Char Diamonds that I ordered. Grilling is now a delight and the steaks are the best yet.Best Deals for Char-Broil OE 7000 Rock Grate
I wish the description said that using this grate means you do not need a flavorizer bar. Heck you can not install the bar with this grate in place. I am grateful to get this grate now I can BBQ the way I like to. The new grills are made in a way that makes it impossible to use ceramic briguettes! Char Broil, a good company. The grill had a bit of rust on the drip shield but it will still work fine.Honest reviews on Char-Broil OE 7000 Rock Grate

Although the description on Amazon says that the display is backlit, it is not: I ordered this item only to discover that it is not indeed backlit (confirmed by the packaging, manual and on the manufacturer's website), but also that at 11" it's considerably shorter than most thermometer forks, which will likely lead to some very hot fingers over the grill.
I'd suggest looking at the same company's model DTF212 CDN TempFork Thermometer (also available on Amazon), which is only a little more at $19, but is almost twice as long and does have a backlit display, along with a bunch of other features that may come in handy.
With that said, this is absurdly easy to use, and fun. Just stick the fork in the meat, and in a few seconds you'll know the temperature.
If I ever find a longer-handled fork, I'll give this to my neighbor. But until then, he can't have it--this is mine!

I purchased these for my husband after his last pair broke. It works very well and is very well designed. One thing I want to point out on these is that the prongs are one solid piece. With hubbie's old pair, the tips of the prongs were a second piece and they eventually broke off.Best Deals for CDN DBBQ212 Digital Thermometer BBQ Fork
I enjoy using this, but I wish I would have gotten a longer handle. I didn't realize how hot my grill is it takes about 3-5 seconds for the temperature to register, and in that time my hand gets hot. I suppose a BBQ mitt will help with that issue. With that said, this is absurdly easy to use, and fun. Just stick the fork in the meat, and in a few seconds you'll know the temperature.

Up until just recently I had been using a Sharper Image All-in-One Grill Fork which I liked very much. Unfortunately it was damaged beyond repair when it was accidentally immersed in water so I purchased a CDN DBBQ212 Digital Thermometer BBQ Fork as a replacement. Right out of the package the construction appeared to be a bit dodgy, but I was willing to give it a shot based on the reasonable price. As soon as the "on" button was depressed, my suspicions were confirmed. It didn't work, or at least, not the way it was supposed to. Several lines that make up the 3 digit characters were not working, making it almost impossible to tell the difference between the numbers 8, 3 and 0, 5, and 6, or 7 and 9. The only reason these forks exists is to give accurate cooking temperatures, and if you can't tell the difference between 185° and 135°, what's the point? Also, even though the only button is labeled "on/off" it only appears to turn the digital display on; the off function doesn't work. After several days of looking at the crippled digital display I pulled the batteries to put it out of its misery.Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for CDN DBBQ212 Digital Thermometer BBQ Fork
The temp comes up fine and seems to be accurate. It's a bit small and feels a bit cheap. It does the job though. I have seen nicer looking ones for less, but I have no Idea how well they work as far as getting temp.Thursday, April 10, 2014
Cheap Magma Newport Gourmet Series Gas Grill

List Price: $409.98

I tried another stainless boat grill made by another company and the regulator was garbage. This grill is better for a number of reasons. The flexibility in mounting options, the legs are handy, the regulator is solid (as is the ignitor), and the tray accessory is a must-have! This is easy to clean and fun to use. It gets hot pretty fast. I can cook at least 6 large burgers at time and they don't take long. I also had zero issues with the flame blowing out due to wind like with some other manufacturer's product.
I've been very happy with two exceptions: the burner and heat deflector have needed replacing twice, and the igniter died after a year. As the burner ages, all the flame starts to come out of one end; this gets progressively worse. The heat deflector warps and decays where it gets hottest. So, as the burner ages it exacerbates the decay of the heat deflector.
Heat deflector and burner are easy to change (~60$ for the pair).
All other components have aged very well.
Rail mounts very well. I had this on an exposed railing for 2 years. It was solid. It didn't need tightening or adjusting once.
Built in legs are sufficient. I've had this on its legs for 2 years. It's sturdy and doesn't wobble.
Does not blow out in any wind.
Gets hot enough to sear steak easily.
Can cook for 4 easily... more would be tight.
I am sick and tired of crappy cheap barbeques and in the end you spend more on them by throwing them away. These are well supported by Magma and they have cool accessories.
Pay the money, get the what you really want and never look back.
PROS: Almost everything about it.
CONS: You gotta make sure you don't forget its lit and overheat the stainless steel. Some of the grease that has fallen on the bottom may leak when you tip and store it on its side like I do to store in my motorhome compartment. Not a big deal, just be aware so you set on something that can capture the little bit of leakage.

When we first purchased this grill 16 months ago, it worked and looked great. We soon learned that it is a 1 year grill....Hmmmm...about the same as the warranty. After 8 months the igniter quit working, after 10 months the thermometer card faded so badly one cannot readily discern the temperature, after 13 months the regulator would only put out enough fuel for a low setting. The grill was always blowing out unless I blocked some of the airway with aluminum foil. Now, 16 months into ownership, the STAINLESS steel is rusting on the top, regardless of the care we have given it, and the weld that holds on the igniter deflector failed. We have followed all directions for maintenance and care, but to no good end. Save your money, buy the Magma mounting system, and adapt a Weber grill to it !Honest reviews on Magma Newport Gourmet Series Gas Grill
We live on a sailboat in a marina. Bought this a year ago and it's been a pain ever since. 1) was never even heating; much warmer on right end than left. 2) Blew out with even light winds. 3) Only way to use it reliably was to hold the lid open an inch with a wrench. 4) Ignitor died in less than a year; replacing whole thing a huge pain; died again in a few months. (When ignitor dies you have to remove a grate and heat diffuser to get in and light it manually.) Finally gave up; bought a Dickinson SeaBQue and I'm ecstatic. Lights easily, STAYS LIT; even heat; fantastic. Magma went in the dumpster. (I kept the rail mounts to use for something else; those are very good.)Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for Magma Newport Gourmet Series Gas Grill

Review of Zareba EZEE Portable Battery Powered Equine 900 Square Foot Fence
Customer Ratings:
List Price: $369.99
Sale Price: $329.99
Today's Bonus: 11% Off

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program I have used portable electric corrals for camping trips for many years. This review will focus on the differences between a `traditional' portable electric corral with all step-in posts (similar to the Zareba Kwik Korral), and this newer style EZEE corral.
The EZEE electrical system works way better than the `traditional' portable electric corral. The traditional corrals require you to set a ground post. It is often difficult to get good ground contact with the short post for the portable system, particularly in dry/sandy/rocky soils, and I end up with a corral whose charge barely tickles. With the EZEE system, the grounding is contained within the tape that makes up the corral. You get perfect grounding every time. The "zap" is much stronger than what I typically get from the traditional portable charger. The result is a corral that your horse will respect.
The EZEE corral does take a little more time to set up than a `traditional' electric corral. The biggest hassle is the four corner ground posts. To install a single corner post:
1. You secure a black plastic spiked square into the ground. Theoretically these can be stepped in, but I had to use a mallet to get into my fairly soft soil.
2. Then you drive a plastic tent spike down through the black plastic square. This spike is theoretically optional, but my results were not good without it.
3. Now you fit the reel system on to post and secure it.
4. Then fit the hollow post over the black plastic square. (It is VERY difficult to remove the post from the black square if you follow directions. The post has two holes near the bottom and some "buttons" on the black square poke through to secure it. I CANNOT remove the black square from the post, as my hands are far too small to span the post and press in both buttons. My husband also had difficulty with this task. I have found that by positioning the post a quarter turn "off" so that the buttons are not aligned with the holes, it's a far more manageable task and the posts are still secure.)
5. Lastly, set up two guy wires to secure. I was hoping this was optional. It is not.
Once you have all four corner posts, it's super easy to set up the rest of the fence. The tape reels work great, and the electrical connection between each post is strong. The step-in posts in the middle of each side are easy to set. The charger is extremely easy to connect, although installing and removing batteries is more of a chore than it should be. All told, it takes me 25 minutes to set up this fence, and about 15 minutes to take it down. That is compared to 15 minute set up and 20 minute take down on the traditional portable fence.
The finished corral is up to 30 feet square. That's a very generous size for one horse, and reasonable for two horses. I've uploaded a picture of it set up with two horses in `Customer Images'. When I use this with two horses, I will likely bring an extra step-in post so I can make an unelectrified divider down the middle at feeding time.
This corral has only one `rail'. I was concerned about that, but it hasn't been a problem. The rail is a perfect height for my 14 and 15-hand horses, and would also fit larger horses nicely. You could adjust the height lower for smaller ponies and mini's by simply sliding the reels farther down the posts.
This corral comes in a nice carrying bag. It is easy to fit in all the components if you disassemble everything completely. I was hoping to keep the reels installed on the posts to eliminate one step on set up and take down, but it won't fit in the bag if you do this. The entire thing weighs about 20 pounds, slightly heavier and larger than my traditional portable electric corral.
The corral comes with clear instructions. There are also instructions for ordering replacement parts, if necessary. It's nice to know they're available.
The item arrived promptly. But my first time setting it up was more that a little frustrating because there were no instructions included. This may have been a fluke but nevertheless it was more that a little annoying. Since then I have become proficient in gettin' it up quickly but you will definitely need a hammer and I advise gettin' better stakes than the ones provided for the corner posts. Luckily I had some. Also the rope provided for the stakes is terrible. Luckily I had that too.
It is nice the way the electric fence generator is all incased in one of the corner posts and it will provide a pretty good zolt. Also, the way the electric fence rolls up into the corner reels is nice too. I will say that the hardward and latches for each corner are a little cheap and I don't expect them to last too long. I don't think I will by another one of these particular corrals.
Upon receiving the unit I was surprised by the lower than expected quality.
**The plastic posts that are in between the corner posts were impossible to join together. Only one of them fit properly.
**One of the reels at the end connection had wires sticking out and I had to unscrew the end and reposition the wired tape before using.
**The videos claim that it comes with batteries and it did not.
**There was not enough string included for attaching the pegs to the corner post. The string was also not cut so it was a hassle in the midst of setting it up to go find a knife of sorts to get that organized. I had to also drive to a hardware store to buy more string since what was there was minimal.
**Another minor issue was that there was no string for hanging the Electric Fence warning signs but I just ducted taped them on the corner posts.
The batteries were a hassle to put in and the contact is not good when I slide the unit in the corner post. I have to keep the unit 2 inches higher in order to get the light at the switch working.
Once those things were worked out, the zapp is sufficient, my pony respects the fence and life is good. I still would not leave her in it unattended though.
The same product with more attention to detail and slightly higher quality material would be ideal. As is, its fine for an emergency but not sure if I had seen it before whether it would be my purchase choice.
It was very easy to set up and take down and took me about 20 minutes to set up.
Very large fencing system so its been perfect to set up while resting or while out.
The price is a great deal considering other comparable systems are about double the price of the Zareba EZEE Portable Fence.
It's a little heavier than I would prefer it to be ( about 20 pounds ) but not bad.
Too bad there isnt a way to convert the power, to be able to keep it up. The batteries are still going strong, but batteries only last so long ( but it probably would make it much heavier to move around )
All fits perfectly in the included bag also!
I will continue to use this, I think this is excellent and just about any adult will have no issues using this, I wouldnt think it would be a good idea to let anyone under 18 use this because its potentially extremely dangerous!

I purchased this portable corral so that I could move it around the areas outside of the pasture and have my mare mow. For that it is good. But I would not leave her in there with out keepin' a good eye on her.The item arrived promptly.

This is my first purchase of an electric corral so I cannot compare it with other units. I was very excited to receive it because I need to move my pony fast to a new place that had a barn but not a fenced in paddock. Before buying I watched all the videos to familiarize myself with the set up.Upon receiving the unit I was surprised by the lower than expected quality.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program This is very easy to put up and works great. No problem for a man to carry, but it is a bit heavy for me. We have a friend that also has one and we were able to combine them both to make a 60x60 fence. It keeps the horses in just fine. These are really great for endurance rides. Another friend uses this same exact portable corral but for his bees instead of for his horses. What he does is he uses it to surround his bee hives with as a protective measure it keeps the bears out of his hives, which had been a problem. So the shock is definitely enough to keep the black bears out too!Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for Zareba EZEE Portable Battery Powered Equine 900 Square Foot Fence
Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program This system is an easy to use portable electric fence.

The size of this item is great. The quality wasn't exactly what I was expecting. 1/4 of the mat is waterproof and the other 3/4 of the mat is carpet material. It still works for what we are using it for.Mat is large but not as inspected. Thought it would be more of a mat versus a slip to slide under the grill.

I bought this and it is very solid. I can gently move the entire grill unit without having to take it apart. If you are planning to leave the work table attached when not in use, buy the Weber 7455 Premium Cover. It fits perfectly over the grill with the work table attached.Best Deals for Weber 7413 Kettle Work Table
I use mine three to four times a week for cooking and even as a work bench when I don't feel like getting out the Workmate. I found that all Weber accessories are well designed and very useful.Honest reviews on Weber 7413 Kettle Work Table

Bradley Smoker BTAP12 Apple Flavor Bisquettes, 12-Pack Reviews
This is a sort of sample pack of 12 pucks so that someone can try a flavor without having to purchase the larger packs. The Apple flavor is a nice flavor, mild and just a little sweet. This is a great flavor for some wild game and can help tone down a gamey meat but not over power it which Mesquite can do if you're not too careful. This is for a twelve pack of Bisquettes not the 120 pack pictured. Lesson if a deal is too good to be true . . . then is too good to be true.
