Char-Broil Live Fire Heavy Duty Spatula Reviews
This spatula is extra long AND extra wide which works perfectly for use on my BBQ grill. Regular size spatulas and tongs just got my hand burned and I hate wearing the BBQ gloves, they are bulky and a pain to put on and off. With this spatula (and an accompanying extra-long tong I bought) the burned hand problem is no more.

Discount Weber 7552 Premium Cover, Fits Weber Genesis Silver/Gold Gas Grills
Customer Ratings:
List Price: $54.99
Sale Price: $43.00
Today's Bonus: 22% Off

I just replaced a seven year old Weber 7552 cover with a new one. It has been outside through its entire lifespan. The cover I'm replacing shrunk to the point I was having trouble getting it on my grill. It had not cracked, ripped or failed in any other way.
I reported the shrinkage problem to Weber and they were like "It happens..." and that's OK with me.
My Genesis Gold grill is worth protecting and this cover is cheaper than replacing grill parts. I prefer the long cover to the short on because it offers more protection and doesn't blow off.
I would recommend this cover without any reservations. It fits well and stays in place.
Living in Northern Illinois and cooking 365 days a year I can only hope that this replacement holds up as well as the first one.
This cover does not have vent holes so I'm not sure how strong winds will affect the cover since without those holes it might act as a sail.
Weber replacement items may be expensive but you pay for what you get.
Oh, BTW this was ordered on a Sunday and the shipment arrived on a Tuesday with no specail handling.

I have an old Weber Genesis 2000 that I have 'restored' to its former glory. I was looking for a cover to protect its new awesomeness, and here it is. It was cheaper through Amazon than Weber (and Weber is local to me). There are two Velcro straps adjust the tightness on the sides (in the 'hip' area) to keep the cover in place. The second night I had the cover installed, there were 70+mph winds in my area. I know that some reviews refer to vents to help dissipate the wind this has none. The cover stayed in place just fine.I would recommend this cover without any reservations. It fits well and stays in place.

I had great service by Amazon on the item. However, be aware that even though this is a genuine Weber grille cover, it is not as quite robust (heavy) as the origional grille cover that came with the grille. The origional grille cover also had a ventilation slot in it, which this replacement cover does not. It's ok, and that's about it. It's not exactly the same as origional.Honest reviews on Weber 7552 Premium Cover, Fits Weber Genesis Silver/Gold Gas Grills

This is our second "PREMIUM" cover. The first cover was a high quality, heavy rubberized fabric with a vented mesh breather in the upper front section. That cover lasted 7 years "in the weather" service. While workmanship is still on par, I am sincerely disappointed with the materials quality of the new cover--it is now constructed of a medium weight vinyl, with no venting that sweats on the grill housing when the sun first hits the cover and the metal is still cool, with no venting to allow it to dry. As for durability, my wife has already lightly scuffed a corner while maneuvering it back against a stucco wall and it punctured the vinyl. The previous cover was much sturdier and could "tolerate" light bumps much better. In summary, while the old design was a quality durable, all weather cover, in my opinion, this cover is designed to be a dust cover for storage in the shed of garage. My "2 Star" rating is based upon Weber still pricing this item at the old design price--had it been priced at $19.99, I would have expected a less than PREMIUM cover.Friday, November 28, 2014

Best CHARCOAL GRILL KETTLE 26 in. Deals
We grill a lot of vegetables and meats all year long. In the past the 22" have been very crowded. This one has more than enough room. In this purchase consider more than the grill itself. It arrived with two dents on the lip of the lid, cosmetic more than functional. I contacted the company and within hours they responded to make things right. I was more than satisfied with their customer service and would gladly buy from them again.

Marshall Excelsior MEGR-9984 2-Stage Automatic Regulator Review
My RV (a Chalet A-frame trailer) came with a Marshall Gas Controls 254-00 regulator, which after 10 years was not doing a good job of regulating. Marshall Gas Controls (a different company than Marshall Excelsior) went out of business in December 2012 and the 254-00 regulator is no longer available. This MEGR-8884 regulator mounts and connects exactly as the old 254-00 regulator and appears to work very well!
After consulting with local RV store and researching online reviews, it seems that these regulators are known to be unreliable. I've now installed a " Camco 59005 RV Propane Double-Stage Auto-Changeover Regulator" (also available on Amazon for less money)...this regulator works flawlessly even at altitude in CO--all appliances have plenty of pressure to operate simultaneously.
one tank ran dry, not so. In my application level window is hard to see I had
to add a mirror.
The lever on the 254-00 points to the service tank. When the service tank is empty the indicator turns red and the regulator switches to the reserve tank. The user switches the lever to point to the reserve tank and it becomes the service tank. The empty tank can be removed and filled. This gives the user a full tank when the service tank is empty.
The service tank on the megr-9984 is on the left and the reserve is on the right. When the lever is pointed to the left, gas is taken from the service tank. When the service tank is empty, the indicator turns red and the regulator changes to the reserve tank. The user points the lever the lever to the right, fills the service tank and then points the lever to the left. This give the user an unknown quantity of reserve when the service tank is empty. The reserve tank will eventually be empty and provide no reserve. The only way to have a full reserve tank is to fill both tanks at the same time.

We installed an on demand water heater and were having issues with it cutting on and off. The original Marshall regulator would only allow 195,000 btu of gas, 10psi, and 11" water column. This units allows 235,000 btu of gas, 10 psi, and 11" water column. This unit resolved my issues and I now have continuous hot water, even when the range and heater are on.Best Deals for Marshall Excelsior MEGR-9984 2-Stage Automatic Regulator
Replaced identical defective regulator (original less than two-years old) on my Keystone Alpine RV. After installation, there was minimal gas flow...not enough to light the furnace at altitude in Colorado. Suburban water heater flame was also minimal with yellow flame. Finally, lit stove burners: minimal flame on one, and unable to light more than one. After consulting with local RV store and researching online reviews, it seems that these regulators are known to be unreliable. Discount Outdoor Gourmet Grilling Plank Variety Pack- Set of 5 Grilling
I used these planks last week on a frozen salmon fillet. I don't usually prefer frozen salmon. Fresh is the only way to go. So I grilled it on one of these cedar grilling planks. I followed the directions that are stamped right into the plank and soaked it for a couple of hours. While the plank was soaking I marinated my salmon in Italian Dressing. The salmon seems to cook more quickly on the planks so don't overcook it. The cedar smoke filled the grill and created a fantastic flavor throughout even frozen salmon. This is good stuff!

I'm usually not a big fan of salmon, but when you cook it on the cedar plank, it really doesn't have that fishy flavor. It is juicy and so delicious! And the other flavors are amazing, too. I found recipe ideas on their website. I'll be trying as many of these as I can!Best Deals for Outdoor Gourmet Grilling Plank Variety Pack- Set of 5 Grilling
Forget foil, baskets, traps, etc. Perfectly grilled seafood is easy. Soak the plank a few hours then place on your grill grate with seasoned fish on top. The plank slowly smokes & enhances the grilled flavor while your fish cooks without burning or falling through the grate. The variety pack is perfect for the occasional griller.Tuesday, October 14, 2014

Discount Set of 3 Silicone Basting Brushes
This set of brushes is excellent! I would definitely recommend them if silicone basting brushes are what you're looking for. They hold sauces (and other liquids) well and they stand up wonderfully to the dishwasher. I'm glad they turned out so so well. It was my first time buying any set of basting brushes, and these definitely impressed me.
I bought them to replace our old bristle grill brushes.
These are so easy to clean and can be near heat!
A must for the kitchen or BBQ!!!
Clean up is excellent too as they dishwasher gets them very clean all the way down. And it allows them to dry out quickly as well.

The longest handle brush works well for glazing food on the grill, but I use the two smaller brushes for buttering pans before pouring in batter, for brushing milk on the top of rolls before baking, for any task requiring a pastry brush. I totally despise those wood-handled, straw-like bristle traditional pastry brushes. They are nasty to clean. These are easy to clean, soak a bit in soapy water, rinse, shake out. These make a great gift for anyone who is a grillmaster or baker.Best Deals for Set of 3 Silicone Basting Brushes

You can't do much better at this price. The long one is great for the grill. That extra length lets your hand stay somewhat clear of the heat. The shorter ones are great for less heat intensive jobs like laying down a layer of olive oil on a pizza crust or some melted butter on home made biscuits. Holding them at a 45 degree angle after dipping will help to hold the liquid in them better if it's a low viscosity. They seem to hold stuff in them very well when it comes to marinades and sauces. What more could you ask for.Clean up is excellent too as they dishwasher gets them very clean all the way down. And it allows them to dry out quickly as well.

Cheap CDN IRM190 InstaRead Meat & Poultry Cooking Thermometer
A great and quick thermometer. Nice that it has a glass face and can be "in the heat"! Easily penetrates meats and is not TOO big that you can't use it for other cooking projects. Easy to read dial. Works well!
I'll look for a better one and probably pretty much retire this one except for the rare occasions when I cook large roasts and such.

This thermometer works well but is slower to repsond as compared to a previous digital version I owned. The nice feature is it's easy to clean and no batteries required, bad side is it takes about 30 seconds to a minute to get to a true temperature if you use it for spot checking. Its OK, serves the purpose.Best Deals for CDN IRM190 InstaRead Meat & Poultry Cooking Thermometer
The sensor on this instant-read thermometer is halfway up the shaft, nowhere near the tip. For smaller pieces being checked, it's unusable without shoving the shaft all the way through and halfway out the other side.I'll look for a better one and probably pretty much retire this one except for the rare occasions when I cook large roasts and such.

Perfect fit for select models of teh broil king grills. VERY hard to find these locally. Rated at four stars because they are likely to arrive somewhat bent. Despite decent packaging....These things are very pliable amd short of placing them inside of a hard box they will require some minro tweaking to straighten them out.Honest reviews on Barbecue Genius 50416 Catch Pan
I have a Broil-King Sovereign XL and these pans fit great. The OEM pans that came with the grill all had one little pin hole that allowed the grease to drip into the cabinet. I called BK and they sent out replacements, but they to had pin holes. I was little skeptical about these, since they are OEM. Luckily, they are all perfect. Fit just as they should. The only problem have with them, is that they are light and wind can move them out of place. I didn't knock the stars for this because this is not the fault of the pans. It is a design flaw.Saturday, May 17, 2014
Discount Steven Raichlen Best of Barbecue Nonstick Ultimate Rib Rack
Customer Ratings:

I really like the shape of this rack as it accommodates the larger pork spare ribs, which I really like. It provides plenty of space between the racks, assuring that smoke flavor will permeate and that you can easily mop the ribs if you so desire.
That said, cleanup is a bear!! The previous reviewer asserted that cleanup is easy....I beg to differ. The rack has a lot of wires and they are not at all easy to scrub. This may be advertised as 'Non-Stick' but several hours in a smoker will bake on a lot of 'gunk'. Even after soaking, the 'stuff' was still present. I finally gave up and sprayed it with oven cleaner. That was an improvement but I don't know how this will impact the rack over the long run. I am not sure that I will be using this accessory again.
When it came in the mail (I'd ordered from Amazon as they had it at the lowest price at the time of my ordering) I discovered that the thing was HUGE. Now this wasn't a problem for my dad who has an enormous gas grill that puts most grills to shame, but it never would have fit on my dinky little Home Depot Discount Grill.
The wire was all coated with a non-stick layer which I knew right away would be a beast to clean but it's what he wanted! So I assembled my pile of gifts, including a smoker box and some Charbroil Hickory Wood Chips, 2 Pound Bagand headed over to the parent's house. We cooked ribs that day, both the sauce covered and dry rub kind. The large size of the Rib Rack allowed us to fit enough on there to serve the entire family. Now of course we weren't allowed to know what all Dad did to them top secret info, but they were fantastic!
The negative is that my sister and I had to do the cleanup and that thing is a real pain to clean. With Dad being a neat freak we had to scrub and scrub and scrub finally we gave in and informed him that there would always be little dark spots on it similar to his rotissery basket.
Though I don't expect he'll use it often, I do know that he'll use it again the next time he decides to cook up a pile of ribs.
Steve's line of grilling accessories show the same dedication to grilling and smoking incredibly great food that his cookbooks do. I have a few of his toys and goodies, and, far and away, the one I love most is this grilling rack. No compromises, no cut corners--this is the perfect tool for grilling ribs in the back yard on your classic Weber kettle grill. (The packaging doesn't advertise the fact, but the rack was plainly designed to fit exactly on a standard 22 inch Weber, leaving the side areas uncovered so you can add coal and wood to the fire.)
It works beautifully with baby backs, spareribs, and the larger beef ribs, doubling the typical capacity of the grill and exposing everything to that yummy smoke. My restults have been uniformly wonderful. Sturdy and durable, too. While the coating is advertised as "non-stick," I do find it best to wiggle the ribs around a couple of times in the first hour of cooking. After that, you're golden. As for cleanup, I get good results by running mine through the diswasher...although it should be no secret that anything used in smoke cooking is unlikely to be perfectly clean ever again.
This review is giving me an appetite...I wonder if I can stop by the supermarket for some beef ribs on the way home?
Also, once Baby Backed Ribs are smoked in this to the point that they are "fall-off-the-bone-tender", they are very, very difficult to remove from the rack. Because there are so many wires that are too close together, the ribs cannot be removed vertically or horizontally from this rack after they are done. The curved ribs get caught below the top wires and cannot be removed. It is way over-engineered to a fault making smoking ribs a real chore.
I have tried three different non-stick sprays on this rack prior to using it to no avail. I have stopped using it for Baby-Back-Ribs after at least a dozen uses.

Review of Zareba EZEE Portable Battery Powered Equine 900 Square Foot Fence
Customer Ratings:
List Price: $369.99
Sale Price: $329.99
Today's Bonus: 11% Off

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program I have used portable electric corrals for camping trips for many years. This review will focus on the differences between a `traditional' portable electric corral with all step-in posts (similar to the Zareba Kwik Korral), and this newer style EZEE corral.
The EZEE electrical system works way better than the `traditional' portable electric corral. The traditional corrals require you to set a ground post. It is often difficult to get good ground contact with the short post for the portable system, particularly in dry/sandy/rocky soils, and I end up with a corral whose charge barely tickles. With the EZEE system, the grounding is contained within the tape that makes up the corral. You get perfect grounding every time. The "zap" is much stronger than what I typically get from the traditional portable charger. The result is a corral that your horse will respect.
The EZEE corral does take a little more time to set up than a `traditional' electric corral. The biggest hassle is the four corner ground posts. To install a single corner post:
1. You secure a black plastic spiked square into the ground. Theoretically these can be stepped in, but I had to use a mallet to get into my fairly soft soil.
2. Then you drive a plastic tent spike down through the black plastic square. This spike is theoretically optional, but my results were not good without it.
3. Now you fit the reel system on to post and secure it.
4. Then fit the hollow post over the black plastic square. (It is VERY difficult to remove the post from the black square if you follow directions. The post has two holes near the bottom and some "buttons" on the black square poke through to secure it. I CANNOT remove the black square from the post, as my hands are far too small to span the post and press in both buttons. My husband also had difficulty with this task. I have found that by positioning the post a quarter turn "off" so that the buttons are not aligned with the holes, it's a far more manageable task and the posts are still secure.)
5. Lastly, set up two guy wires to secure. I was hoping this was optional. It is not.
Once you have all four corner posts, it's super easy to set up the rest of the fence. The tape reels work great, and the electrical connection between each post is strong. The step-in posts in the middle of each side are easy to set. The charger is extremely easy to connect, although installing and removing batteries is more of a chore than it should be. All told, it takes me 25 minutes to set up this fence, and about 15 minutes to take it down. That is compared to 15 minute set up and 20 minute take down on the traditional portable fence.
The finished corral is up to 30 feet square. That's a very generous size for one horse, and reasonable for two horses. I've uploaded a picture of it set up with two horses in `Customer Images'. When I use this with two horses, I will likely bring an extra step-in post so I can make an unelectrified divider down the middle at feeding time.
This corral has only one `rail'. I was concerned about that, but it hasn't been a problem. The rail is a perfect height for my 14 and 15-hand horses, and would also fit larger horses nicely. You could adjust the height lower for smaller ponies and mini's by simply sliding the reels farther down the posts.
This corral comes in a nice carrying bag. It is easy to fit in all the components if you disassemble everything completely. I was hoping to keep the reels installed on the posts to eliminate one step on set up and take down, but it won't fit in the bag if you do this. The entire thing weighs about 20 pounds, slightly heavier and larger than my traditional portable electric corral.
The corral comes with clear instructions. There are also instructions for ordering replacement parts, if necessary. It's nice to know they're available.
The item arrived promptly. But my first time setting it up was more that a little frustrating because there were no instructions included. This may have been a fluke but nevertheless it was more that a little annoying. Since then I have become proficient in gettin' it up quickly but you will definitely need a hammer and I advise gettin' better stakes than the ones provided for the corner posts. Luckily I had some. Also the rope provided for the stakes is terrible. Luckily I had that too.
It is nice the way the electric fence generator is all incased in one of the corner posts and it will provide a pretty good zolt. Also, the way the electric fence rolls up into the corner reels is nice too. I will say that the hardward and latches for each corner are a little cheap and I don't expect them to last too long. I don't think I will by another one of these particular corrals.
Upon receiving the unit I was surprised by the lower than expected quality.
**The plastic posts that are in between the corner posts were impossible to join together. Only one of them fit properly.
**One of the reels at the end connection had wires sticking out and I had to unscrew the end and reposition the wired tape before using.
**The videos claim that it comes with batteries and it did not.
**There was not enough string included for attaching the pegs to the corner post. The string was also not cut so it was a hassle in the midst of setting it up to go find a knife of sorts to get that organized. I had to also drive to a hardware store to buy more string since what was there was minimal.
**Another minor issue was that there was no string for hanging the Electric Fence warning signs but I just ducted taped them on the corner posts.
The batteries were a hassle to put in and the contact is not good when I slide the unit in the corner post. I have to keep the unit 2 inches higher in order to get the light at the switch working.
Once those things were worked out, the zapp is sufficient, my pony respects the fence and life is good. I still would not leave her in it unattended though.
The same product with more attention to detail and slightly higher quality material would be ideal. As is, its fine for an emergency but not sure if I had seen it before whether it would be my purchase choice.
It was very easy to set up and take down and took me about 20 minutes to set up.
Very large fencing system so its been perfect to set up while resting or while out.
The price is a great deal considering other comparable systems are about double the price of the Zareba EZEE Portable Fence.
It's a little heavier than I would prefer it to be ( about 20 pounds ) but not bad.
Too bad there isnt a way to convert the power, to be able to keep it up. The batteries are still going strong, but batteries only last so long ( but it probably would make it much heavier to move around )
All fits perfectly in the included bag also!
I will continue to use this, I think this is excellent and just about any adult will have no issues using this, I wouldnt think it would be a good idea to let anyone under 18 use this because its potentially extremely dangerous!

I purchased this portable corral so that I could move it around the areas outside of the pasture and have my mare mow. For that it is good. But I would not leave her in there with out keepin' a good eye on her.The item arrived promptly.

This is my first purchase of an electric corral so I cannot compare it with other units. I was very excited to receive it because I need to move my pony fast to a new place that had a barn but not a fenced in paddock. Before buying I watched all the videos to familiarize myself with the set up.Upon receiving the unit I was surprised by the lower than expected quality.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program This is very easy to put up and works great. No problem for a man to carry, but it is a bit heavy for me. We have a friend that also has one and we were able to combine them both to make a 60x60 fence. It keeps the horses in just fine. These are really great for endurance rides. Another friend uses this same exact portable corral but for his bees instead of for his horses. What he does is he uses it to surround his bee hives with as a protective measure it keeps the bears out of his hives, which had been a problem. So the shock is definitely enough to keep the black bears out too!Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for Zareba EZEE Portable Battery Powered Equine 900 Square Foot Fence

This is a great rack. It is sturdy, well made and has a nonstick coating. Its bigger than it looks. It does exactly what it is made to do. It will hold half a dozen country style ribs and cleans up nice when finished. I have a large charcoal grill, have used the rack several times and the rack and coating still look like new. I use it for both grilling and smoking so it has seen a lot of use. I am a large man. I stepped on this by mistake and it did not bend or show any signs of damage.Best Deals for Primo 335 V-Racks Large Roast Rib Racks
I used it to bbq a chicken (inverted). I set it in a drip pan and it was very stable. I use it in a Big Green Egg and it easily accommodates 3 racks of baby back ribs.Honest reviews on Primo 335 V-Racks Large Roast Rib Racks
the porcelain rack I received had several scratches and places where the porcelain coating was scratched off.it looks like the damage is from the rack being stacked with other racks..minor issue other than that everything was fine and as expected.Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for Primo 335 V-Racks Large Roast Rib Racks
