I got these because my grill is fairly new and in good shape, but the heat plates were all rusted and falling in. I tried all the local home improvement stores, but none carried replacement parts at a price I was willing to pay. Basically, they're trying to force you to buy a whole new grill because the replacement parts are nearly as much.

OK, I searched around online, and after a long search, found these, which fit the same size parameters as my old ones, so I figured they'd work, because all the ones I found that said they were universal replacements were not anything like this shape, or with a nice coating.

I got these, only to find out that the ends don't match up to what was on my grill, and they fell in as soon as I fired it up. GRRRR!! How hard is this to make a grill part that's easily replaceable? Why does every grill have to have it's own special, unique design, to eliminate any other brand parts? I spend a fortune on grills because they rust and rot so fast. You shouldn't have to buy a new one every $%^&@# year!

I wasn't about to go through all that again, so I got out my trusty hammer, banged the ends closer together, and suddenly, they do fit, and stopped falling in. It isn't pretty, but it works.

Of course, this broke paint chips off, so these will rust even faster than the first set, but I'm assuming the whole grill will be rusted by then, so if I can get another year or 2 out of it, I'll be happy, at this price.

This grill cover is perfect for my grill! The material is thick and the seams are double stitched. It appears that it will withstand the wind, sun and rain that passes through Southern California. We're very happy with our purchase. Our grill is 54 x 21 x 42. We thought that the cover would be too big, but it fits just fine. The velcro strips on each side takes in the extra material the cover hovers just above the cement. Perfect fit.

This cover is a little short for my grill but i knew that when i bought it..For the price good luck beating it. The material is very thick and velcro straps work nice to keep a snug fit. When dogs tear up BBQ covers faster than i can order them a nice one at this price is a pocket book saver!

This grill is excellent. It is the cheapest grill you can get that is still manufactured by Weber. The grill was easy to set up. It took about an hour and the grill feels very solid. The grill has performed well heating quickly and fairly even. It is hotter toward the front but it is nothing major. The flavorizer (covers for the burners) were all bent on arrival. After a 3 minute call to customer service I was shipped new ones no questions asked. The customer service is excellent and the warranty for the grill is equally as impressive. I highly recommend this grill.

I never write reviews for anything that I buy, as I mostly rely on the reviews of others (which are usually pretty comprehensive). When it came to this grill, though, I had much trepidation in my purchase as I could find no real detail on this product and few pictures. First, it is a product that is backed by Weber (it's stamped on the box). Second, every part of this grill is well made, and was easy to put together (you really only build the frame, the main grill box just sets into the base you build (the side panels are a nice stainless steel. After about 1.5 hours of putting this together (I did it by myself with just normal tools), I fired it up and it was impressive. Heated well, cooked a filet wonderfully. I'll follow this one up as time goes on, but my first impression was that it was half the price of a Weber Genesis but certainly more than half of the quality (the box itself isn't as thick or heavy as a Genesis, but it wasn't "flimsy"). I was impressed enough to leave this review, so take that for what it's worth.

I bought this item based solely on the Ducane reputation for quality and durability. So far, I have not been disappointed. It was shipped promptly and arrived undamaged. The assembly instructions were straightforward and all parts were accounted for and fit like they should. Operation is a breeze with the electric igniter. No problems firing it up and it heats up very quickly. Provides a consistent flame on each burner so I get good cook-through with no burns or raw areas. I would recommend this grill to a friend.

The box came pretty banged up. Probably carrier issues, not Amazon or Weber. However, there was some damage to parts, although they were not critical to the operation of the grill. What is a problem is that the gas line was packed improperly and thus severely kinked. I was surprised that much of the grill seemed to be made of what I thought was thinner than usual sheet metal. I'm a bit concerned about the longevity. Finally, pre-drilled holes weren't perfect, but I was able to make them work with a bit of elbow grease except for one in which I used my own drill to make it fit. In the end, it seems to work well. Certainly not the high quality product I was hoping for from Weber.

Dukane is an incredible product. This grill was packed very nicely--no chance of any broken parts. The grill was easy to assemble and it is very heavy duty. For the price you can not beat this grill! Had this grill three weeks now. Looks good and cooks great. Had an issue with the ignitor on main tube. I called customer service and they sent me a replacment ignitor within a week. I am worried about all the "rusting" issues that have been noted in the reviews. I have a cover for it so I hope I wont have the same issues

I have the Weber Genesis grill Weber 3741001 Genesis E-310 Propane Gas Grill, Black and wanted a smoker. I had a generic smoker box and it sits on top of the flavor bars and never got very hot so very little smoke. The Weber Smoker puts the wood chips directly on the flavor bars getting them hot very fast and producing a lot of smoke. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is they say to clean the ash out after each use but much of it tends to fall into the bottom of the grill due to the large openings of the bars. I still highly recommend this product.

This smoke box will not work with the burner redesign of the genesis for 2011. This new design has the burners oriented perpendicular with the front of the grill instead of horizontally as in years prior. You will have use a small aluminum pan with your chips and water directly on the flavorizor bars on the left or right burner for smoking until Weber redesigns this part.

This works extremely well for any of the Genesis 310/320 grills that have the knobs on the tray. It will not work on any of the models that have the knobs on the front. The difference is the earlier models have burners that run side-to-side and the new models have burners that go front-to-back. My Genesis came with stainless steel grates so this is a perfect match. I keep the other grate for parties when I need maximum cooking area. But 90% of the time this replacement grate and smoker box stay on the grill. I no longer bother soaking chips since it makes no difference at all in flavor or time. Just toss them in the box a couple minutes before the meat goes on.

Unit sits directly on the flavor bars so it heats up fast and creates very good smoke. I did have a couple of flare ups but that was easily handled with some water.

Pros:

Good fit, works well as designed.

Gets hot fast and creates good smoke.

Looks like it will last.

Cons:

The grill it comes with is a steel grill that replaces your left grill panel. I would give it 5 stars if it would have come with a matching grill for the Genesis. Grill is good quality so it's not really an issue.

Be careful when placing the chips in the box, if you get them behind the door, the door will not close. Easily taken care of with tongs.

I purchased a Genesis E-310 Propane Gas Grill in June 2008 and have been looking for a way to add wood smoke flavor when cooking chicken or pork steaks. I saw this smoker advertised last year but wasn't sure if I was willing to take a chance and purchase it until I read some reviews about it. Based on the above reviews I went ahead and bought it and have been extremely pleased with how well it works. It fits perfectly on the grill and creates a lot of smoke flavor. I highly recommend it!

This fork thermometer takes an accurate temp reading; and is a good deal for the price. It does have one quirk -it has a button to toggle between Celsius and Fahrenheit which I keep accidentally hitting when I hold the fork. So I end up reading the temperature wrong because it has inadvertently changed to Celcius. Just be aware of this and the fork will work fine for all sorts of cooking.

I purchased and reviewed another meat thermometer and gave it one star due to how long it took to come up to temp. I got this Taylor in hopes of much quicker read time, and definitely got what I was looking for.

It comes up to temp in about 2-3 seconds (very fast in my book), and the bright blue display with big numbers is easy to read. The design feels solid and sturdy, not cheap, and I like that it's water resistant. If I were to give any criticisms, I don't really like the "Hold" feature and find it pointless. I wish the backlight stayed on all the time and you didn't have to press "hold" for the backlight. But, for the price, this doesn't ruin the 5-star value to me. I don't think you could find a better meat thermometer for this price.

Have had the Nomex gasket on my egg now for about two months, It has not shrunk yet as some have stated. The gasket was pretty easy to apply, follow the instructions that come with it, do not stretch the gasket when applying, but compress the gasket along the inside edge of the egg. I will update if my gasket shrinks as some have stated. the hardest part was removing the old wool gasket.

Installing this gasket is actually easier than it looks in those Youtube videos! The length is generous, and the gasket has no tendency to ripple as it is fed around the ceramic edge. Highly recommended!!

The product is fine, but if one watches videos on the installation, they recommend installing the strip on the lid and the base. There is only enough product to do one side in this package. I did some internet shopping and found the same thing with enough for the lid and the base for $23 with free shipping. I wish I would have shopped sooner and saved over $15.....oh wait a minute...the other place was double this order so I would have saved $30. (That is ridiculous!)

I soaked the planks for more than two house as recommended (more than 24 hours actually). I heated the grill to the recommended temperature and placed the hickory plank (I'm assuming hickory since it was the only one not clearly labeled) on the rack. Within 2 minutes it was bowed up and on fire. I turned the heat down and tried to spray it with a little water just like the directions say, but within a few seconds it was flaming again. Needless to say, I removed the plank from the grill to continue cooking so that my steaks would not taste like burnt char. Very disappointing. I would not recommend these other than to use for wood chips in the bottom of the grill or over a fire.
