Works great! The cheese doesn't run out of the pepper halves the way I used to cook them (sliced lengthwise). The corer makes this so simple. The only drawback is cleaning. Directions say NOT to put in the dishwasher. It's not terrible to clean when used on the gas grill, but the smoker is a different story, hence only 4 stars. I think I'll try rubbing it with oil prior to using next time. Makes Great jalapeno poppers.

I had seen similar racks in use on a trip to the southwest and was going to purchase one in a shop. My host commented that She had gotten hers from Amazon for half the cost and I would not have the inconvenience of packing the rack for the trip home.

She was right This rack is well made of stainless steel, durable, and has the added advantage of coming with a tool to core the seeds from the peppers. I made some jalapeno poppers, and some hot hungarian peppers on the grill last night and this rack worked as advertised. This rack would probably also work with banana peppers or any similar shaped pepper. Holds the peppers upright and allows the heat to roast the pepper evenly in about a half hour on a Weber with the lid closed (Grill was already hot from other grilling). I barbecued pork steaks and when I put them in the roasting pan of sauce to tenderize, I started the peppers. By the time I had them cleaned, stuffed, and cooked the meat was also ready to serve. The rack also functions as a work stand while stuffing the peppers!

I ordered two of the cookers and they work great...but the corers are way too big for most peppers. Then I got some HUGE jalapenos, and still had to use my potato peeler with the edges sharpened.

Alright. This grill gets 4 stars. Easy.

Everyone is all bent out of shape for it seems the same issues:

1)they broke the screws or handles or something when they put it together.

2)they cant get it hot enough, or the grill rack itself doesn't get hot enough to sear something.

3)the flame goes out when it's windy.

Well here's what I have to say, and I've been a chef for 30 years. Take it for what it's worth:

If you spend $30 and are expecting a mind blowing, life changing, best product on the market grill, you're an idiot.

This grill heats up fine and very fast. It gets hot to do all sorts of thingsI've even done 10lb pork shoulders, whole chickens, and giant roasts that I've shredded for tacos and enchiladas. Sure it takes 2 propane containers but chilling on the beach while things cook away is money in my mind. Check it every 45 minutes.

The grill rack itself is flimsynot thick iron like a professional piece of equipment, so you need to learn how to get it to its hottest point and then sear things quickly and simply. The point is that it won't retain heat once you put something on it, so common sense says raise the temp of the food item you're going to put on it so the change in temp of the grill rack is minimized and the sear is stronger. Don't put a cold burger patty on it. Pull it out of your cooler early. It's not rocket science, it's freaking food people.

All in all, this is a fantastic grill for your $30. It actually has higher btu output than the Weber go anywhere grill for half the price.

Learn how to use it (even putting soaked wood chips in the bottom or lava rocks, pot liquor from your collards to steam, wood chunks, etc.)and it will be the best grill you've EVER had. Sure beats plenty of grills I've tailgated with or friends' on the beach. I've had mine for 7 years and the thing is a work of art still.

Oh, and if a screw breaks? Go to the hardwear store and buy a new screw for $.30. Stop crying about the grill. It's not the grill, it's your lack of common sense.

I've had this BBQ for over 3 years and use it almost every week to drag it to beaches, camping etc. It's very portable and gets the job done. I've cooked chicken, pork, hotlinks, corn and just about anything you can think of on it just fine.

It does go out on occasion when it's very windy, but you just light it back up. There's one trick that I find helps a lot, I wrap the grille in special BBQ aluminum foil (that has holes in it). It seems to make the grill more efficient -and also, I've never cleaned it since I just put new aluminum foil every time I use it.

I love this grill and have recommended it to many friends -it's cheap and has a perfect form factor. You can even put your gas tank, tongs, lighter and other accessories into the grill while you're carrying it to the beach -awesome!

We do a lot of "camping" at stock car racing events, and for years have used a worn-out cast iron hibachi to grill the burgers and dogs. While burning charcoal on the old hibachi always succeeded in getting us fed, it was long overdue for replacement.

We decided to upgrade to a portable gas grill, and this is the model we bought. It has truly been night and day from the hibachi!

Just the fact that it has a lid was a huge improvement! And what a concept to not have to wait for the coals to burn down, only to fight to keep the fire consistent. The grilltop is not only larger than the hibachi's, but much more stable than the 2 "paddle" style tops the hibachi used.

Overall, I am very pleased that we replaced the hibachi with this grill for the price, it can't be beat as a portable grill!

I received this grill in the mail...promptly. Although it was a little flimsier than I'd like, it is still a great grill. The ease of setup and the cooking ability that you get are worth WAY more than the price. NO MORE LAVA ROCKS!!!

Do yourself a favor...buy either this one or the Weber portable. But look at it this way, for the price of the Weber, you could buy TWO of these!!!

I purchased this grill about 3 years ago. I was initially happy with its performance and loved the fold up legs, but I would never buy another one. The construction is cheap and flimsy, which I didn't mind at first since I only use it on camping trips. The downside to the cheap materials is that the burner does not get hot enough to properly sear a steak, and the legs are quite unstable. I was also never comfortable with the flimsy connection between the regulator and the burner. This grill can also be exceptionally hard to light. I've also had a problem with the heat shield falling out of position whenever I transport it. Most recently one of the cheap plastic handles broke worsening this problem as the heat shield rests on the inside of the nuts that hold the handles in place.

Despite these significant flaws I've still been able to cook some decent meals. Since I only paid about $30 for it, and got 3 years use out of it, I really shouldn't complain. However, now that I'm replacing it I'm buying a Weber Q100 which I've read has better performance and will last much longer.

I hope this grill lasts. I rather pay a little more for something that lasts. If this inexpensive grill lasts, I will be doing a victory run with the Rocky soundtrack. I think it will.

When you first open the shipping box, you find that the grill has already started to distingrate. Each time you cook with this grill more pieces fall off. If you paid three dollars for it, you could have a good laugh.

The manufacturing quality (or lack thereof) is unlike anything you have probably seen before. It sets a new low water mark for Chinese made products.

You will never have to clean the drip tray in this grille. Juices leak out all over the bottom of the grill, leaving the drip tray empty.

Forget cooking chicken on this grill, unless you love blackened chicken.

The manufacturer states that this Infrared Table Top Grill is "all Stainless Steel." It is not! Quality Stainless is made using nickel and creates a non-magnetic metal. This product is magnetic and is made in China out of some mystery metal, which one could only hope is non-toxic like so many other Chinese made products seem to be.

The earlier model, which looks the same, was once made out of quality Stainless and was constructed far, far better. The earlier model was also larger. This grill can't possible last very long in the manner it is constructed and would suffice for grilling for a maximum of two people, unless limited to cooking hot dogs.

So, if you want a table top grill for only one or two evens and one or two people for a limited period of time, you don't want to cook chicken and you don't mind a mess all over the ground, this grill might work provided the metal (whatever it is) doesn't contaminate your food and before eating, make sure that metal parts falling off have not landed in your food.

All-in-all, better to spend more money and buy a better made grill unless you want to experience first hand just how bad a Chinese made product can be.

Sucks when you buy cheap stuff online. The grill looks great great grilling surface, assembles easily, fires right-up... but about 5 minutes into grilling every damn time it POPS! and turns orange with flames coming out of the burner with a scary-loud hissing and popping noise to back things up. I shut it down... cool it off... and disconnect. i have used multiple tanks and even hooked-up a 5lb tank with an adapter always getting the same results. There is a leak that is somewhere inside the the burners and i dont think i should have to take the bbq apart to test for leaks. Needless to say, it does not make me feel safe.

I will probably update my review depending on how the seller handles my return...

I wasn't sure what to expect when I ordered this bar, but my results have been same as with the lil smoker boxes that you can add to the grill. I've used wood chips on it a few times and I appreciate having the option (as there wasn't much of a price difference between this and the standard bar.) As of 4/18/13, Amazon is having an inventory problem with this item right now, so I strongly advise you contact Amazon regarding this model number problem. I ordered two of these items and Amazon sent quickly, however they are shipping the WRONG PART! The one you receive does NOT have the bell housing fitting! You get one with a large thread MALE end that will NOT work for the desired application! They sent out replacements and they were the exact WRONG part again! So there is a serious problem as of this date with this item. Amazon is working on it, but save yourself a lot of time and headache and make sure they have fixed this issue BEFORE you make the order, because you will be very dissapointed and your project will not go smoothly right now. Amazon is a good company and they are working on it, however, the shipping department obviously does NOT READ THE NOTES on the system to check to make sure the right part is going out...even on replacement orders. I hope they get this fixed soon, because I need the RIGHT part!

The image of the product looked as if it were one piece. I have one that has parts threaded into a main unit and one of the inserts developed a leak. I split the main unit while tightening it to eliminate the leak so I needed to replace the whole unit. Comes your product one piece so that there was not the potentials for leaks now I see that it is of the same construction as the unit that I broke.

If you store your grill outside, even on a screened porch, a cover is a wise investment that will make your grill last years longer. The Ducane covers are heavy gauge plastic with an attached lining. Fits snugly so the wind won't be an issue. Hangs a few inches off the bottom to allow good ventilation. You won't be unhappy with this purchase.

It looked funny, and one large gust of wind would have surely sent it flying through our yard. I returned it to our local hardware store and found this Ducane cover here on Amazon. For $6 more, the quality is much better (thicker and padded on the inside); like night and day. The fit is perfect; snug enough so it's not going anywhere, and comes down to just above the wheels. Product arrived without damage to the box. I left it sit in my garage for a month before opening it and, once I did, I was unable to get the cover unfolded. I don't know if it is just old and sat for a long time or if they folded it before the plastic was cooled/dried, but the plastics are melted/fused together and ripped when I tried to open the cover. Unfortunately, I didn't open the product right away after receiving it. I figured with no moving parts, what could go wrong? I won't make that mistake again.

I am very happy with the this grill cover manufactured for Ducane. The vinyl is a heavy weight that feels like leather, and drapes correctly to fit the shape of the grill. Ducane makes the covers sized to fit by grill model, so confirm the correct matchup when ordering. The cover comes with an inner liner of fabric which minimizes scratching from surface dirt and allows the cover to slide on and off easily. The sides include wide velcro tabs that fit together to snug the cover in place and prevent blow off or shifting during high winds. My cover has been exposed to quite a few thunderstorms and hail with no problems or damage. As a nice touch, the cover includes a printed company logo which aligns with the name plate on the grill when the cover is in the correct position. All in all, an excellent cover.

So far our Royall RG2000 has been an excellent performer. It's solid 14 gage steel welded construction is not found in pellet smoker in this price range. The heavy construction along with its unique baffle plates for better circulation provided us good temp stability, even grate temperature with even heating throughout for roasting and baking. Another reason we purchase this smoker to replace our 7 year old pellet grill is the 12 inches of room. This is large enough for large stand up turkeys or two extra grates for a total of 1254 sq. in of cooking area. I easily smoke 6 racks of ribs at one time. I would recommend this pit to anyone looking for a cheaper quality pellet grill.

Do not buy this product. They use a Traeger controller with the name Traeger crossed out with a marker. The temperature doesn't even get close to what they say it will. Mine worked 4 times and then quit working. The fire box wouldn't light but the auger kept turning, packing pellets into the firebox which then kicked out the breaker that it was plugged into. Royall did not answer my emails or phone me back. The paint was as good as a mid 90's Chevrolet. It flaked off in weeks and their warranty says it doesn't cover paint defects. My only hope is that I can get some cash back for the weight of the scrap metal. It might be made in America but it is a piece of junk, giving America a real bad name.

Discount Replacement Probe for Grill Alert

Before giving up on your wireless thermometer, try replacing the probe! I'm on my third probe now, which is frustrating, but these things are only $15 bucks. A new 'Grill Alert' is $70! Each probe that I've had seems to last a few years before I start getting screwy readings. When I replace the probe, the unit works fine again. I think the probes are only rated to 400 degrees, so that's definitely the weak link in this otherwise excellent system. Now I'm ordering two probes, just so that I can have a spare ready to go.

The probe has a braided metal outer jacket on the cable that causes any flexing of the cable to strain the cable where it exits the probe. This condition causes failure (shorting of the sensor wires to the jacket) at that point. I have had 2 other probes with this type of cable that failed in that mode. The best type of cable is a thick silicone jacket like used on microwave temp probes.

My thermometer kept losing the signal during cooking. After replacing the batteries several times, I started shopping for a new one. That's when I stumbled onto this replacement probe. It works perfectly and seems to be a little sturdier and better built than the original. The cord is a couple of inches shorter than the original which is why I didn't give it 5 stars. Delivery was lightning fast. I needed this for my Thanksgiving turkey but forgot to order until the Sunday before. It was delivered on Tuesday!

I knew I needed a new heat plate for my Uniflame grill, but did not realize just how bad it had gotten. Cooking on my grill was more of a chore than a pleasure. During the cooking process, I was always moving things around to find the right spot that was not too hot or too cool. If I had a large meal I was preparing, cooking on my grill was like playing musical chairs. Things just had to keep moving all around the grill.

With this new heat plate, the heat is again fairly even all across the grill. Grilling has again become a pleasure.

If your heat plate is falling apart and collapsing, you will be doing yourself a grand favor by getting a new heat plate.

The old shield was rusted through. This one fit right in the Uniflame with only the slightest bending of tabs on the grill, could be from years of heating/cooling down and warping. This makes the grill usable and like new again!
