Bought this for a very good friend who is a AZ fan. It was much larger than I thought it would be. He absolutely loves it. Now I just need to know.... is there a Broncos version?

I bought this as a gift for friend who loves the Cardinals (I don't know why he loves the Cardinals so much...) and it works great. He really likes it and uses it everytime he's having a football party. He's crazy. I don't know anyone that loves the Cardinals as much as he does...I think he likes having a broken heart.

How can this burner kit be as good as the ones at BBQ Stores for 4-5 times the price? I am shocked at the weight, build quality, craftsmanship, and how well they work. Do not dismiss these burners due to the cost they are the real deal and you can believe the reviews. Yes they are that good.

I am so pleased that I found these on Amazon. After searching and searching barbecue websites with prices very high, I found these at a great price with the same model number that barbecue websites are selling for at a much higher price. I needed 4 of them for our Barbecue's Galore Turbo 4 burner and other websites sell them separately which adds up quickly. This package deal for the price is excellent. Wrapped safely and separately, they fit my bbq perfectly.

My grill is a coleman 5600/5610 and these burners fit it as well. Those models are not listed but the Coleman 5300 is and if you lookup the parts on coleman's site they are the same part number, so I ordered them and I am glad to report they fit. Not sure how to tell a good burner from bad. All I know is my old ones were rusted out and I got these they fit and they work! Great price, and I got them the next day (despite selecting 2-3 day shipping). My only comment/issue is my old burners had metal mesh sleeve that fit around the air hole by where they slide onto the gas supply. The sleeve would not fit around these so I left it off. So far so good...

After market parts had to be filed down to fit. Poorly designed compared to the old factory burners. otherwise the delivery was fast.

Was looking to replace my 15yr old Weber, and wanted a 4 or 5 burner, but couldn't afford over a Grand for a new one so... I did a LOT of shopping around and research online. Turns out, just about anything under $500 or so either doesn't get very hot, or turns to rust in a year or two. I checked out models from Sears, Lowes, and Home-Depot

I came across this new model online and decided to take a chance due to the rave reviews of Dyna-Glo's other products. And also really likes what I could see in all the online pictures.

Pros:

Packaging: I was very impressed with how well this product came packed in the box. Every part individually packed. Not a ding or scratch to be found

Instructions: Very well written. Easy to follow. Took me & my son about an hour.

Construction: Appears to be made of quality materials; very will built. Everything fits nicely together; like it should. No flimsy materials.

The slide-out holder for the propane tank is a REALLY NICE feature. Most grills you have to wrench yourself into a pretzel to take the tank into/out-of the doors. Also makes it easy for opening / closing the valve.

The Slide-out grease-tray... on some other brands this does not slide-out, forcing you to take apart the Grill just to clean it.

Burners: They get Very Hot, Very Quickly

Design: Plenty of depth... what I mean is, some grills have the Warming Rack not far above the grates; this makes it tough to flip burgers. Not a problem here. Some grills also have the grease pan not far below the burner; creating flare-ups. Not a problem here. Just cooked Chicken & Burgers with NO flareups.

Price: Paid $435 from Amazon (no shipping or sales tax). Would have been another $100 from HomeDepot.com

Cons:

My only complaint is that the back of the lid has about a 2" opening for the length of the grill. On my old Weber, there was no opening. This was closed, creating a very hot Grill area. On this Grill, you can feel an enormous amount of heat escaping through the back opening. Can't imagine why they did that. Because of this, you will never see the Temp Gauge go over 450 degrees, maybe 500 if all 5 burners on high. Thinking of fabricating some kind of panel (sheetmetal ?) to enclose the back. Will let you know how that works out.

*** UPDATE ***

I fixed the problem of all the heat escaping out the back. I cut a 2" metal strip and screwed it into the back of the grill opening. Turn it on and it goes up to 700 degrees in about 10min. I turn 1 burner Off, put the rest on Low, and it maintains 550. Finally the Front of the grill now is just as hot as the Back. Now I'm satisfied....

Had my heart set on a Weber grill but couldn't get past paying $699.00 so I started researching for the next best thing. Boy I am sure glad I did. Found this beauty online for half the price. Took me about and hour and a half to put together. By far a well built grill indeed. This company sure did take a lot of pride in the building of this grill. Fires right up and cooks like a dream. You can't go wrong on this grill. Even when they send it to you it is well packaged with assembly pieces starting from beginning of instructions til the end. So here's your chance guys and gals to cook like the pros at half the price. Happy grilling!

Best Deals for Dyna-Glo DGE530BSP-D 5-Burner 62,000 BTU Propane Gas Grill

Like other reviewers I did quite a bit of reading on pros and cons of grills prior to purchasing this DynaGlo grill. Consumer Reports gave it an OK rating overall. For me, it's replacing a grill that is entirely stainless steel including the base/cabinet, etc.

A few things to consider:

1. There is a pretty big hole in the back of the grill where the lid meets the base. Another review mentions this and that owner devised a way to cover it. Prior to addressing this issue, I ran the grill for 15 minutes to determine how hot it would get. About 650 degrees. I then bought an Aluminum Kickplate for a door from Homedepot and cut it down to an an upside down L and installed it on the lid to cover the hole. The grill got to OVER 700 degrees in about 8 minutes. I am sure it's fine without this modification, but I prefer high temps for searing.

2. The pictures make this grill appear to be ALL stainless steel, including the base/cabinet. However, that is not the case. The base/cabinet is silver painted steel. The doors have decorative stainless around the edges, but the face is painted brown (not stainless). This is fairly obvious from the pictures, but you should know that those brown panels are NOT stainless.

3. The inside of the grill is not stainless. The bottom part where the burners are is a dark color painted steel. I imagine it will eventually rust.

4. The decorative Bronze painted panels for the lid and doors will rust. Despite being covered with a grill cover and placed under a covered lanai, my lid began rusting within 4 days. I think this is partially my fault but anyone could do it VERY easily. The handle has two "washers" that separate the handle from the face of the lid. The edges of these washers are sharp. Tightening the screws down on the handle too much will cause these sharp edges to puncture the paint and the lid will then rust very FAST. Be very careful about scratching these surfaces and over-tightening the lid handle.

Customer Service: I contacted customer service regarding the rust. They replaced the grill top. They shipped it within 4 days of my phone call. I called them 3 times to check on their status of sending the lid and asked each time for an email confirmation about shipping. This never happened, but they did provide a tracking number via the phone. Overall, the customer service seems fine, but then again it's very new and I admitted I would send it back to Amazon if the issue wasn't addressed quickly (I was within the 30 days for Amazon returns). In the manual it specifically states the grill is NOT covered by rust. So I would imagine after the initial 30 days, you'd just have to deal with the rust.

Some Pros:

Solid stainless grill grates. My old grill had these and after 8 years they were rusted, but worked perfectly. These are nice and typically outlast the grill.

Solid construction. Very sturdy grill once assembled.

Gas-Tank pull out is a really nice back-saver and prevents you from banging the grill against other surfaces that would cause scratches (rust)

Leaving off the Tank Exclusion Bar on the right side provides you with a nice spacious area for storing other grill related items.

Assembling was not too bad. It's time consuming, as it's a big grill. But the instructions are great and items are labeled very well. Instructions for installing the side-burner and side table are poor, but if you look at the holes it's fairly straight-forward on what to do.

5 Burners | BTUs | Gets hot fast

Price : Nice large grill with a good deal of stainless parts for a reasonable price in contrast to Brinkman, Charbroil, and other cheap brands. Also, it's at nearly 1/2 the price of most Weber grills in comparitive classes.

Nice looking unit

Customer Service seems pretty good

Even heating. Great cooking

Missing Parts on 1st order; AMAZON is amazing as always, taking care of the issue

Some Cons:

Not all stainless. Painted steel in many places (Cabinet, bottom part of grill, top of lid, and doors). While it looks beautiful, be careful about nicking these areas as they rust fast.

Other Thoughts

Personally, I would keep this grill covered. My last grill was entirely stainless steel, including the cabinet, lower basin of the grill, and burners . But, I learned the hard way and left it out in the rain. The burners rusted away within two years, despite being stainless. Most folks know these things, but new grill owners may think like I did -it's stainless! it doesn't need covered. But, depending on the grade of stainless that's used, and the fact that many parts are painted steel, this grill is best cared for by being covered. Amazon sells a Classic Accessories Veranda Barbecue Grill Cover (Medium fits this grill). I've owned this cover two times. It's excellent.

Stainless Steel Cleaner: It's a bit hard to find, but reading up on stainless cleaners and polishes over the years has led me to this product (not on Amazon unfortunately): Superior High Shine Stainless Steel Cleaner & Polish. Really keeps the grill looking glossy, clean, and beautiful. Oil based too.

Weber One Touch Gold 22.5 Inch Charcoal Grill Review

When it came time for us to get a new charcoal grill I searched every site and checked out dozens of different grills, some costing many hundreds of dollars, all promising some advantage.

Some units were really interesting, and not too expensive, but upon close inspection many of these proved to be tinny and cheaply made. The very expensive systems were very nice, but did not offer rotisseries and other useful accessories and were just too expensive for us anyway.

So, we ended up with another Weber, the Gold Model. In the many years since our last Weber, there have been a lot of improvements that kept it attractive. The ash catcher really does make cleanup much easier and the vent system is more functional. The grill itself has the new flip-up hatches that allow you to add more coals and move them around without having to lift up the grill. I did that all the time with the old grill.

The optional little bent-wire style of charcoal retainers do help to keep the coals out to the side when you want to use a drip pan in the center.

Others have recommended the chimney style charcoal start for ecological reasons. It is also just plain faster to use as well, and it is made of heavy gauge metal that is both attractive and long-lasting.

I love the optional rotisserie (see those reviews) and it comes with an extension ring that is also useful for other cooking options.

We got the green colored kettle and it looks very nice on the patio. The general design and those odd white-wall tires give it a kind of vintage look.

This is a well-made and very functional grill with all sorts of interesting available accessories that really work well. There is a reason for the popularity of the Weber. I looked, I bought. Hard to beat.

...............

Update 7/2012. Still good, used daily all summer and even in the rain under my porch cover. Something I came up with that could be interesting to the more dedicated user. I essentially bought a downed oak tree and have been splitting it for firewood for next winter. Had a lot of small, crooked, knotty, twisted pieces that couldn't easily be split. I cut them up into 1" cubes on a band saw, hoping to use them as briquettes in the Weber. A newspaper sprinkled with cooking oil got them started in the Weber chimney starter quite quickly. The secret is to be a bit patient so that they stop flaming and turn to glowing coals. And then you have a genuine oak BBQ, just like on a ranch. Very good, but a lot of work and dangerous enough even on a band saw. And it messes up the blade and rollers. The other more accessible method would be to simply start an oak campfire in the Weber, using regular old pieces of oak like you would in a fireplace. It would take some time to burn down to coals, but even more of an excuse to drink too much and then burn the food because....well, everyone has done this. Right? Anyway, flaming oak imparts a kind of bitter taste while glowing oak coals make it delicious. I do this research for you.

__________________________

Update 2, on cooking an expensive steak. This works and requires no skill. I went out and bought the most expensive steak ever, an organic, grass fed, free range whatever ribeye at a boutique market and the attractive butcher girl probably had her thumb on the digital scale besides. I about died when I saw the price. Hmmm, can't afford to cook this any way but perfectly.

I once saw a YouTube video on how to properly cook a steak using high heat and this is my BBQ grill interpretation of that.

Use the coal retainers to block off a section of the lower grill and fill up that smaller portion with lots of hot coals. It cannot be too hot in this case.

Put on the cooking grill and let the previous session's grease flame off, which of course also heats it up hotly and is somewhat entertaining and makes you feel guilty about what you are eating...

Put on the steak. Having those long tongs helps a lot. You can rub it with olive oil if you want, but it is unclear to me if that is necessary and it causes more flame-ups. No BBQ sauce though. Lid off! Deal with the flame-ups by maneuvering the steak around. Some people use a water spray. This is hands-on, attentive work.

Stand by. It will cook fast. Have your other food well under way. Within minutes the down side will have that crust of goodness, short of burnt of course. Turn it over and do the other side. When that side is seared, remove the steak and insert a digital cooking thermometer, taking care to place it in the very center, from the side (not stabbed in from the top). I use a Polder and the line from the sensor to the display seems to hold up in high heat, but don't string it out over the coals. Run it out the back. Set the alarm for 130.

Put the steak back over the un-coaled area. The effect now is that this is a very hot oven, not a grill. Put on the lid, make sure all vents are open. Watch the temp rise, amazingly fast so don't wander off.

Remove the steak, with tongs, to a plate and cover it with aluminum foil, resting it as they say on cooking shows. By the time everything else is served up, maybe 10 minutes or so, it should be ready to serve.

This gives you a steak that looks exactly like the ones in advertisements, medium rare with a great crust. You can throw it back on and in a couple of minutes the temp and doneness will go up. There is no shame in putting food back on the fire, but there is shame in over-cooking it! If you paid the big bucks for your meat, burning it will make you cry.

BTW, this works for other meat like thick cut pork chops (thick ones are easier to cook properly). Use the same method, but run the temp up to 140-145 (145 being the new govt standard, and in fact it is the standard for all meat other than poultry. If you were brought up on thin, over-cooked pork chops (we all were) you have a revelation coming. Chicken parts don't require the high heat, but a quick sear and off the the oven part works very well for them.

It is suggested that the steak be served with salt and pepper, applied after it is cooked as it may be a bad idea to subject the salt and pepper to high heat. The more expensive the meat, the less you should put on it. Cooks always suggest kosher salt and it is indeed very good for this, and ground pepper is better as well. I really think BBQ sauce is too much for expensive beef, but if you want to fancy it up, slowly heat up some butter and garlic and let it meld together. Strain it and serve it on the side, or simply pour it on. What the heck, you have already gone well over the fat grams or whatever for the month anyway...

If you have to cook more than maybe 3 or 4 large steaks, you could fill the entire bowl with coals and then finalize them in the kitchen oven set very high, like 450, and with the temp probe stuck in the most representative steak. This gives you 90% of the grilling experience and taste.

We bought this grill as our first grill based on reviews. The Weber grill is a solidly built grill. You don't feel they skimped on materials when they built this. Assembly was only difficult when installing the base ring for the ash catcher but once I got past that, it was easy. The metal grate for the charcoal is smart for allowing air to come up beneath the charcoals, helping keep them hot, which the cooking grate is smartly designed, with two sides able to be flipped up so that you can add more charcoal if you need to. The two handles on the cooking grate make it easy to move the grate. The wheels make it easy to roll the grill around, although I would have preferred rubber wheels as opposed to plastic wheels.

The only complaint I have about this grill is that the handle for the lid can get really hot when it's been sitting on the grill for a while. You can remedy this by wearing a grilling mitt when removing the lid. I'm not sure if a wood handle would make a difference. Just a minor complaint.

The big cooking grate is terrific. I can throw all kinds of stuff on the grill at once and it doesn't matter where it lies, if you spread your coals evenly, everything cooks great whether on the outskirts of the sides of the grate or on the center of the grate. I attribute this to the Weber design and the grill's ability to distribute heat evenly and well.

The ash catcher is one of the nicest features on this grill. If you are trying to decide between the silver and the gold Weber grill, make no mistake that this is the better option hands down. The ash plate on the silver model will most likely get filled up with ash quickly, not to mention it is a possible fire hazard if hot charcoal bits fall off the side of the ash plate. The ash catcher on the gold model is like a pan and can hold a lot of ash and hot charcoal bits with no problem. Spend a little bit more and get the better feature and you won't regret it.

Best Deals for Weber One Touch Gold 22.5 Inch Charcoal Grill

You're probalby thinking that there's no reason to update the 10-year-old Weber you've got in your back yard. Well, turns out Weber has made some smart improvements over the years-the new "gold" model is worth the upgrade.

The ash-catcher is super, the one-touch vent system is a big improvement (no more knocking each vent with a trowel), the plastic handles stay cooler... you get the idea. Nothing dramatic, but good progress.

But here's the clincher: setting one of these up (takes about 20 minutes, even if you make a mistake or two) just makes you feel like you're in heaven. It's summer embodied. People rhapsodize about the new car small... well, fughettaboutit. The look of a shiny new grill that you've assembled yourself is about as good as it gets.

Highly recommended accessory: the charcoal companion. Put your lighter fluid (or your MatchLight) away and use this instead-it works flawlessly, and it's better for the environment.

Honest reviews on Weber One Touch Gold 22.5 Inch Charcoal Grill

I'll admit from the start that I'm biased. I swear by Weber products. I've been happy with my Smokey Joe, but I just needed a bigger grill. Enter the 22" One Touch Gold. A friend of mine has an 18" One Touch, but I think that the ~$20 price difference is a marginal cost for the extra size. Four inches doesn't seem like a lot of extra room, but it really is.

Installation was a snap. No tools required, except for a hammer to tap the wheels onto the base. The kettle itself is porcelain-enameled, which means it doesn't rust. All of the parts seemed to be built to last. The lid forms a nice seal with the base of the kettle, and the "one touch" vent adjustment works well.

I debated whether to get the Silver version or go for the Gold. The grills are basically identical, but the Gold version has a hinged cooking grate and an enclosed ash catcher (and costs $50 more). The Silver has a standard cooking grate and an ash pan. The hinged cooking grate is an essential feature for anyone who likes to grill indirectly. Adding charcoal or wood chips without disturbing the food on the grill is quick and easy. However, Amazon sells a hinged cooking grate for under $20. I'm not sure if the enclosed ash catcher is worth $30 because you could just set a coffee can on the ash pan. Then again, if the grill lasts about 10 years (which it should with proper care), then it's only $3 more per year.

I saved the best for last. I noticed that the assembly manual pictured two parts, a pair of charcoal rails, that were not included in the box. I called Weber customer support, and they explained that the wrong manuals were sent out with some of the grills, and I wasn't actually missing the charcoal rails. Then they offered to send me the charcoal rails for free anyway! That kind of customer service is rare in my opinion and sets Weber apart. I'm very confident that they'll stand behind their products if anything happened to go wrong.

To sum up:

THE GOOD

quality construction

great customer service

good ventilation

lots of cooking area

hinged cooking grate

enclosed ash catcher

THE BAD

Silver version may be a better value

I'm a big Weber fan-I've used a Genesis gas grill for six years and a Smoky Mountain Cooker for two. Recently purchased the Kettle Gold. Great charcoal grill! The enclosed ash catcher is particularily useful if you grill with lump charcoal versus briquettes, like I do. It catches any sparks and small pieces of lump that drop through the charcoal grate. Hinged grate is also a big plus. I like to use the Weber charcoal holders to hold my lump when grilling steaks-push them together in the center to sear (brings charcoal about 2 inches from meat) then push them to the outer edge for indirect cooking. I also added a thermometer to the lid to check and adjust cooking temps.

This baby would get five stars if Weber was still offering the cast iron grate upgrade for the kettles. It's been discontinued this year, but I hear some are still out there to be found. Even without cast iron, you can't go wrong with this as a charcoal grill, and being a Weber, it will last for years and you'll get great customer support if it is ever needed.

I have a Brinkmann 810-5290-C electric smoker that is so old that I cannot remember when I bought it. I long ago discarded the center section (the longest cylinder) -although you might want to keep it if you think you will ever want to smoke two different meats (say a turkey and a pork loin) at the same time---and here is how we get PERFECT smoked meats.

Rub the meat with your favorite seasonings. We find that all of the seasonings are good, just different. So, don'tbe afraid to use poultry seasoning on pork, etc. Be generous. It will stay on the meat using the system I am describing.

We use a deep flat pan, 15 inches long, and put water in it ... almost full of water if it is a big meat such as a big turkey, less than half full if it is only a 1.5 lb to 2 lb loin. The juices from the meat will fall into the pan and the mixture will make wonderful gravy base. The water will, of course, steam off over time and you want to avoid letting the pan run dry. But you do not want too much water or your gravy base will be too watery.

The water moisturizes the meat during smoking and, very importantly, helps keep the meat temperature down, so that the smoking time is increased. With longer smoking times you get increased smoke/barbeque flavor. A 2 lb loin cooked well done in, say, 35 minutes, is not going to have the flavor of one cooked to the same doneness in 2 hours.

Put a meat rack (a wire grill on legs) in the pan to support the meat out of the water. Wrap the meat loosely in aluminum foil. This will MAGICALLY prevent the meat from getting too black on the outside. The foil gets carbonized coating but your meat just cooks/smokes to a beautiful color.

Use LOTS of wood that has been soaked in water for at least an hour. Any reasonable wood will work fine. You do NOT have to buy mesquite or apple wood chips. Nothing wrong with them but I also use chips and chunks that I cut from a fallen pear tree. We use a cast iron wood box that we place on the lava rocks, but we supplement that with more well-soaked wood chunks or fine pieces wrapped in aluminum foil. The result is the same. After you finish smoking the charcoal from wood in the cast-iron box is identical to the charcoal from the aluminum wrap. There is a temptation to toss in soaked chunks without wrapping them and that is OK until you lift the cover to check the temperature of your meat at which point it probalby will flare up as a fire.

Just put the smoker's wire grill on the base unit, put the pan of water and meat (on the meat rack) on the grill, add the domed cover, plug in the Brinkmann and check the internal temperature of your meat with a meat thermometer. Go by the many published tables of recommended internal temps for meats and seafood. Smoke pork until it is tender (155 160 degrees). The water and the aluminum foil will keep it moist. Listen to the cook in your family regarding internal temperatures and cooking times.

This smoker makes food taste great and is so easy to use. This smaller size is perfect if you don't want to have another full sized grill in your collection and it holds almost as much food as the big ones. Electric smoking is the way to go because it doesn't add any charcoal or gas taste to the food. The steam makes everything moist and tender. This is a great smoker for the price.

Best Deals for Brinkmann Smoke-N-Grill Charcoal Smoker and Grill

My smoker, received as a wedding gift in 1992, looks exactly like this, thus my review here even though my smoker model ends with a C. We have been very pleased with this smoker over the years. It has turned out succulent smoked turkey, chicken, fish, and pork roasts. Sadly, this morning, as I proceeded to smoke a brined turkey, the plug kept tripping the breaker. I think that may be salt related as we've been near the ocean the last two years. I cannot complain. We got our use out of it and I would replace it with the same one if Brinkmann cannot sell me a replacement heating element first, as the rest of the smoker is still in good condition. I actually prefer smoking over grilling because my food does not ignite.

Honest reviews on Brinkmann Smoke-N-Grill Charcoal Smoker and Grill

Technically, of course, the RIGHT way to smoke is to use real green wood in a real large pit smoker. However, here in the suburbs good green wood's hard to come by, and a large pit smoker costs a lot of money -and you'll go through quite a bit of potentially expensive wood, too. Gas smokers, if you use them for proper long-term smoking (12-18 hours) will suck down one, maybe two full tanks of propane; that's $40 for one long cooking session. This device has a 1500W cooking element; even over an 18-hour cooking session, that's 27kW-h, and at the price of 17 cents per kW-h (high) I'm spending less than $5.00 in electricity. Plus in both the case of wood and gas smokers, someone's got to really keep an eye on it all the time.

So I went for the cheap and simple; set it up, plug it in, let it go. The question was... would it work?

Initially it's somewhat daunting; the smoker comes disassembled and the instructions are not as clear as they might be. It's also apparent that the electric element is a retrofit (you could still use charcoal or wood in this thing, if you wanted) and this fact isn't incorporated into the instructions. Lava rocks were also not included -I had to buy a bag of them. This isn't a huge problem, except that the assembly instructions mentioned them and thus implied strongly that they should have been included in the kit.

Once assembled, however, it looks quite nice -aside from the cheesy and probably ultimately unreliable temperature gauge in the front, which just gives a vague indication (low, "ideal" high) of the temperature inside. I got a few-dollar oven thermometer that I put inside the smoker when I use it. The stainless-steel exterior is very pretty and gives confidence that the device will survive for a while.

Operation of the Brinkmann is quite simple: soak some wood chunks (choose the right wood for the job -mesquite is great for things like ribs, chili, etc, but hickory, apple, etc., are the way to go for hams) until they're as wet as you can reasonably get them (if you think of it ahead of time, dump them in the water for a day or two, but an hour or so will do all right). Note that due to the way the water pan fits into the smoker, you have to use SHORT wood pieces; chips are probably too small, though, they'll run out fast. So if you have large chunks of wood, split 'em down.

Put the wet chunks of wood on the smoking pan and place that directly on the heating element in the center; it's designed for this. Fill the water pan and then place that on the bottom supports, plug the smoker in, and you're ready to go. One grill fits right over the water pan, and there's another that's a goodly distance above that; you could easily fit a turkey in the bottom and a full sized ham on the top, or vice versa, so for any reasonable sized family this puppy will handle your smoking needs.

So far, I've smoked turkey legs, ribs (beef and pork), and a full-sized ham. Note that I had NEVER smoked anything before I got this, and I am having excellent results; the ham I smoked this weekend (July 4th weekend, 2011) looked cooking-magazine perfect and tasted absolutely wonderful (maple marinated/glazed with hickory smoke). It's EASY to use; just make sure the water pan is **FULL** before going to bed if you're planning on getting your full 8 hours rest!

It's also fairly easy to move around, and if you have a wooden deck you should get one of the insulated burn/grill pads. The vinyl cover is a nice touch too.

Overall, I'm very happy with this Father's Day present, and my family seems happy too! :)

If your interested in grilling and smoking, but only have limited yard/patio space, then this is the grill to get.

I also bought the Brinkmann "Smokeshop Electric Converter" and I use that for smoking my meats. Its significantly easier than charcoal for smoking because you don't have to constantly adjust the coals. Then for grilling I use charcoal so I can get the high temps I want. I've been using it for over a year now, and its been great. The stainless is the way to go because it wont rust out. I feel like I have the best of both worlds with electric smoking/charcoal grilling.

The only negatives are these minor issues:

1) The temp gauge doesn't show the actual temp. Its just a meter of Cold, Ideal, Hot. Get a good digital thermometer.

3) Doesn't come with the cover. It may be worth buying ones of the Brinkmann "Value packs" instead. I think it comes with a bunch of the accessories that you'll probably want regardless.

Infrared Table Top Grill Review

Infrared Table Top Grill
Customer Ratings: 4 stars

cons:

1the part over the ceramic heater is NOT stainless steel, this is where it counts the most. I will remove this part and get it made of high grade stainless steel someplace.

2no thermometer :-(

3the brackets where you screw in the legs are spot welded only.

4Doesn't get too hot.

5fat that drips will produce flames that make heat distribution uneven. (this doesn't matter at all).

pros:

1portable,

2big solid handle that doesn't get hot.

3small outside yet very decent grilling surface. (about 12" x 12"). (I fit 1 massive steak, 3 pork chops and 2 sausages at a time).

4Easy and quick to use,

5gets ready to use almost instantly!!

6the exterior doesn't get too hot.

7I feel safe using this grill, knowing it is fast, not too hot, easy to manage. boom, boom, boom you're done.

8has push-button start...yayyy!

9SS grill rack with thick bars (tines, bars, whatever you call them), for easy cleaning and less sticking.

10I Have had several grills in the past, this is the first time that I have obtained grill marks without over-cooking!!!! I can make grill marks now, I have achieved manhood!

I hope this grill lasts. I rather pay a little more for something that lasts. If this inexpensive grill lasts, I will be doing a victory run with the Rocky soundtrack. I think it will.

When you first open the shipping box, you find that the grill has already started to distingrate. Each time you cook with this grill more pieces fall off. If you paid three dollars for it, you could have a good laugh.

The manufacturing quality (or lack thereof) is unlike anything you have probably seen before. It sets a new low water mark for Chinese made products.

You will never have to clean the drip tray in this grille. Juices leak out all over the bottom of the grill, leaving the drip tray empty.

Forget cooking chicken on this grill, unless you love blackened chicken.

The manufacturer states that this Infrared Table Top Grill is "all Stainless Steel." It is not! Quality Stainless is made using nickel and creates a non-magnetic metal. This product is magnetic and is made in China out of some mystery metal, which one could only hope is non-toxic like so many other Chinese made products seem to be.

The earlier model, which looks the same, was once made out of quality Stainless and was constructed far, far better. The earlier model was also larger. This grill can't possible last very long in the manner it is constructed and would suffice for grilling for a maximum of two people, unless limited to cooking hot dogs.

So, if you want a table top grill for only one or two evens and one or two people for a limited period of time, you don't want to cook chicken and you don't mind a mess all over the ground, this grill might work provided the metal (whatever it is) doesn't contaminate your food and before eating, make sure that metal parts falling off have not landed in your food.

All-in-all, better to spend more money and buy a better made grill unless you want to experience first hand just how bad a Chinese made product can be.

Honest reviews on Infrared Table Top Grill

Sucks when you buy cheap stuff online. The grill looks great great grilling surface, assembles easily, fires right-up... but about 5 minutes into grilling every damn time it POPS! and turns orange with flames coming out of the burner with a scary-loud hissing and popping noise to back things up. I shut it down... cool it off... and disconnect. i have used multiple tanks and even hooked-up a 5lb tank with an adapter always getting the same results. There is a leak that is somewhere inside the the burners and i dont think i should have to take the bbq apart to test for leaks. Needless to say, it does not make me feel safe.

I will probably update my review depending on how the seller handles my return...

An excellent grill if you love your meat seared on the outside and raw in the middle. Also works for overcooking meat if you choose to, you just have to turn it down.

Fits my grill perfectly. Easy to clean and cooks fish and steaks very well. I would definitely recommend this product!

For cooking big breakfasts outside on my Weber kettle, the Kettle-Q is the best thing I have found, and I've tried lots of things.

What the Kettle-Q has going for it is the grease trough in the front and the raised edge around the back.

The trough keeps grease away from the burning charcoal and the edge prevents food from falling over the side.

Bacon, sausage patties, hashbrowns and eggs have been a breeze (although the eggs weren't the prettiest I've ever cooked).

And I've used it for Smashburger-style hamburgers with great success. Cooking burgers on the Kettle-Q produces a great crust, by the way.

It's not the easiest to clean up, but I figured that before I bought it.

I'm happy, and it has given me another reason to cook outside.

This item is well made and holds up to the extreme temps that our smoker/grill puts out. We made stir-fried veggies that made everyone happy. I look forward to using this griddle quite often. Easy cleaning if you deglaze first and use a little baking soda with hot water. VERY HAPPY with my Kettle Q purchase.

After the first use, it turned brown because of burnt oil and I haven't found how to keep it clean. I would have liked to know that before the purchase.

The Kettle-Q is a very high quality griddle that's worth the price and I know that as long as I take care of it, I will get many years of great use out of it. Plus it's like having my very own Waffle House griddle in my backyard. Love it!!!

Best grill cover I have ever owned or seen. Keeps moisture out but at same time breaths through vent, stays flexible when cold

I bought this in May 2011 for my Egg, and after 3 brutal Seattle summers (yeah right), the plastic is separating and worn, like it is 10 years old. It outgasses a lot of plastic smell in the sun, you can smell it about 10 feet away. Maybe the cheap plastic used isn't made of long use.

Very upset after spending $100 after only 2 years and 4 months.

This is a quality product. We have a lot a damp weather (read fog) in the winter here. Our back yard doesn't get much sun in the winter, either, so things tend to stay damp or even wet for long periods of time. Once we put this cover on our Egg, no more dampness. It stays bone dry, even when everything else on the patio is wet. And for goodness sake, the name is embroidered on! Quality!

I have an LED grill light with a dual magnetic/screw-clamp mounting mechanism. Both the LED light and its clamp work well enough. However, I thought the fluorescent light would provide a brighter light and illuminate a larger area (the LED light illuminates a small area as if it were a miniature spotlight).

I was wrong! The fluorescent light does cover a larger area bit with less brilliance. I decided to go back to using the LED.

Another consideration the difficulty of getting a stable mount/grip with the fluorescent light's squeeze-to-open mounting clamp.

the light is not quite as bright as I thought it would be and the clip is very tight and I have trouble finding a place on my grill it will clip on. The light does help some...better than before. The item was shipped fast & brand new as promised.

On the plus side:

Good overall design.

Stable base.

Easy to regulate heat

Holds temperature well.

The included thermometer has a large, easy-to-read dial and was accurately calibrated.

Baskets are deep and made of commercial quality, heavy-duty steel.

Holds one entire typical 35-pound container of cooking oil.

On the negative side:

Unit arrived with a BIG dent on one corner of the base unit.

One of the fry baskets was not welded correctly.

All hardware (screws, washers, and nuts) was completely missing.

Conclusion:

Great design, just extremely poor quality control.

Order early in case you need to return, repair, or obtain missing parts (as we did) before using it.

We love this thing. Just wish we didn't have to be bothered with gerry-rigging the basket, making a trip to the hardware store to buy screws, etc., and eventually exchanging it for another unit without dents!

I purchased this cooker for frying fish, hushpuppies, fries, and appetizers when entertaining company. I liked the v bottomed design and faucet drain. The cooker is quiet, but somewhat slow to reach the desired 350 degree temperature. My major complaints are: the location of the burner inlet hose (directly in front), hose too-short, and the idiotic timed shut-off device which I will remove before using again. It is difficult to remember to reset the device while in the middle of cooking; therefore having to re-light, and wait for the temperature to rebound. I haven't transported the cooker yet, but can see that the thermometer could easily be broken if bumped.

Shipping this thing arrived bent, smashed up, and with screws/bolts that had backed out of the hinges. Had to do a couple hours of work along with some hammering with wood blocks to straighten everything up enough to use (wanted to use it for that weekend.)

The fryer works just fine, however there are a couple of annoying things about it. You basically have to get on your hands and knees to see the flame and figure out adjustments. This fryer also takes batteries for its silly safety feature that cuts the gas off at the tank if you don't press the button every 15 minutes. I understand the need for the feature but you can't tell (without crouching down to check the flame) if its shut you off, and you don't know when it's about to cut you off. (A beep or some other warning before shutting your fryer down would be much appreciated.)

If you're frying lots of breaded items, this cooker will fill up with crumb and start to burn and discolor your fat. The spigot is a plastic-y piece of junk and when filled with crumb it drains slooooooow.

TL;DR: With full hindsight I would have purchased the bayou classic fryer.

I have a Spirit E310, a model of BBQ with which this cover is compatible. When I tried to put the cover on the BBQ, it was a tight fit. Very tight. The side trays can't be lowered on the E310, so there are visible stretch points on the cover when you pull it down over the BBQ. I suppose this means that you won't have to worry about the cover blowing off in high winds, but I worry that these stretch points will become weak spots in the cover and wear through.

The other cover, the cover I was replacing, with velcro straps at the bottom, has a lot more room and can easily be thrown over the E310. I never had a problem with wind blowing the cover off either, but it took a beating in the sun, which is why I bought this to replace it. When this one goes out, I'll be going back to the velcro model since it's easier to put over the BBQ.

I purchased this cover for my Spirit 210. Design-wise, the cover fits well and looks good. I've noticed, however, that each time I remove the cover I find significant amounts of condensated water on the top of the grill. I live near Boulder, Colorado....and we get snow, so, presumably this is where the water originates from. I used an old grill cover for this grill, prior to finding this newly designed version -and I never found condensated water on my grill with that old cover. No clue what's happening...but the problem is constant..... I use the grill every couple of weeks, and each time, upon removing the cover, I find a lot of condensated water on the surface of the grill. Over time, no doubt, I will begin to see rust on that area of the grill.

Best Deals for Weber 7569 Premium Cover for Spirit 200/300 Series

Bought this for my Spirit 200 series and it fits perfect. Every part of the grill is covered except the wheel base, which is necessary if you want to roll your grill. Recently had a very bad storm with a lot of wind the cover did not budge an inch. The fit is perfect for my Weber. If you are buying for your small Spirit it's a no brainier. The grill and the cover go together like peas an carrots. I like that you can keep the side shelves if you want it's just a minor adjustment to the zippers.

Honest reviews on Weber 7569 Premium Cover for Spirit 200/300 Series

It is nice, but like others have said, the zippers are completely defective. I would not recommend it for that reason.

I recently purchased a Weber 46110001 Spirit E210 Liquid Propane Gas Grill, and wanted to protect it from the elements. This grill cover is made specifically for my Weber grill, by Weber, so it fits perfectly. The sides of the cover zips in, so it will fit both sizes of grill (two or three burner.) Based on my experience, a cover for a grill stored outside will extend the life of a grill two or three years. If you've just spent a few hundred dollars on a grill, why not invest a few dollars more and protect it? I highly recommend this cover for anyone who has purchased a Weber Spirit 200 or 300 grill.
