I bought three of these for a company event. We will be cooking french fries for 200-300 people so I opted for the 15 qt fryer. They shipped separately and came from at least two vendors. All three of the frying pots were damaged on arrival. There is not ample packaging material to keep the parts from banging around in the box. The fryers do not sit flat on the ground. The side tables fall off if you move the unit once assembled. So watch your toes. As is probably clear, I was unimpressed with the construction of the fryers.

I must admit that they do seem to work well. The 54000 btu burner seems to be very capable of keeping the oil temperature at temp even while cooking two baskets of tater tots. These three did not have the infamous King Kooker "safety" pressure regulators that require you to push the button every 15 minutes or the flame goes off. I was extremely glad about this.

Overall, this product seems to function reasonably well but I am a bit disappointed in the fit and finish. I am also disappointed to have 3/3 frying pots damaged. That doesn't seem to be a good batting average. I can't send them back as the event is this week so I guess I am just stuck with them.

I order two of this equipment and both of them bad shape, One of the worst boxing/packaging. I even let the FedEx guy see. The box is broken every corner and part of the equipment is visible, In side Rectangular Aluminum Fry Pan bended/danged. I was very disappointed and upset. I want this equipment for coming event so I'm very concern.

Pros: I really shopped around, and decided the side tables were a most. And they are. The unit goes together and comes apart for storage quit easily, and is well made. The regulator works well, and controls the flame from a purr to a roaring blase.

Cons: The pot, and basket are made of fairly light gauge aluminum, and in fact the pot came dented. A lid would also had been a nice addition.

Used it for the first time this past weekend for a fish and fries fry. Loved it, except that the flame went out 3 times while cooking. No idea why. Everything was tight, flange was open for O2, and it wasn't windy. Has a great height, not like a lot of those bend over outdoor burners. The two baskets are great.

I've had my EP 330 for a year now and it's worth ever penny. Weber makes top of the line products and best in class customer service. This Genesis grill is fantastic.

The EP product line (EP 310, EP 330, EP330) is a limited edition line. While simillair to the "S" Genesis (stainless) series, as it has the SS burners, grates, and flame covers, it also offers the enamal painted outside found on the standard "E" series grills (which come with enamal coated cast iron grates and flavorizor bars) For those like myself who don't care for the Stainless Steel outsides, but want the SS innards, the EP Genesis is the way to go. It's got the best of both worlds.

I've found the enmals look, clean and hold up better than the SS you find on other grills.

I don't have any use for the side burner, but I opted for the EP 330 rather than theEP 310 as I wanted the sear station an extra burner between the 2nd and 3rd burner. The extra burner to me at first sounded gimicky or an after thought they slapped in to compete with some of the flashier grills that now sporting fancy searing technology. I was happy and very impressed with the sear station; it works, and works very well. This grill gets very hot (over 700 degress) very quickly. Perfect for searing steaks or baking pizza.

At first I had difficulty getting the grill to burn steady a low temperatures (below 300). I had to turn off all but 1 burner, set to the lowest setting and prop the cover open an inch which worked perfectly. Once dialed in, this grill holds a nice steady temperature.

There is one design flaw across all the newer model Weber gas grills, and that's the Tank holder/scale. This device is ment to suspend/secure your LP tank and also, via a spring scale let you know how full/empty the LP tank is. A great idea, but it holds the tank up too high, and too close to the grease pan. It's very easy to burn your hand when reaching in to turn off the gas if the grill is still hot. A small nit that you learn very quickly not to do. :)

Over all I cannot recomend this grill enough. It's got plenty of space for cooking, reaches blistering high heat, holds rock steady temperatures even in the dead of winter, and is built like a tank. I added the weber rotisiare and cound't be happier.

Get the EP. it has the best of the "S" series with the best of the exterior finish options.

I just recently purchased 2 Weber Genesis EP-330 grills. These grills are replacing 2 Weber grills I bought back in 1993, which still have the original burners, amazing! The old ones still work just not as well as they used to, so it was time to upgrade to new models. The news models work awesome,

as expected great heat controll and eveness. For the old ones to work as long and as well as they did I won't buy anything but a weber grill.

I use these grill all the time all year long. A little expensive but well worth it if you can get 20 years of use from them.

If you're going to buy a grill I would seriously consider any Weber product!

I used the new probes as soon as I received them, smoked a pork butt for pulled pork.

They are not as prone to curling up as the originals, but they are no way 3 feet long,

just a hair over 30 inches. They worked fine on the smoker but it appears they would be

difficult to use in the oven because of their length; the Maverick would have to be placed

on the stove top and would be in the way if you wanted to use the burners. Didn't have

that problem with the originals, they're 42 inches long.

These work well and seem to survive washing in the dishwasher. The problem is that of the 4 I received in the set, only 3 were reasonably accurate. One was off by about 15 degrees. I'd give them 5 stars if Taylor had bothered to test them and make sure that they were accurate before packaging them. You can test them yourself like I did and throw away the bad one(s). But, you shouldn't have to do that.

These are awesome. Really convenient to be able to leave them in the meat while grilling.

Maybe not super precise, but they are certainly close enough. (If I'm looking for a super accurate reading, like when I'm preparing a rare cut, I use these to get the meat to the general area and use a more precise thermometer to finish it off).

Just be careful, because they are easily small enough to fit down the garbage disposal... and they won't survive... I promise...

The problem with these and several other meat thermometers is that they are not based on modern world meat doneness guidelines AND they completely ignore the fact that the internal temperature rises after removing the meat from the oven or grill. For example, the scale of the beef thermometers in this set starts at 145 degrees and what they refer to as rare, so they are of limited use as an accurate thermometer for cooking beef anything less than medium well. In the real world rare is actually 120-130 degrees and if you want rare you have to remove it from the heat at 5-20 degrees (depending on the thickness) before reaching the desired final temperature. In the extreme case, if you wanted very rare and your target temperature was 120 degrees and your roast was about 4 inches thick, you would have to remove it when the internal temperature is 100 degrees and the residual cooking would raise the internal temp to 120. With this thermometer, none of these temps are even on the dial, so you would have to guess. Even Medium would be in the unscaled area of the dial. If you trusted this thermometer to cook your beef rare you would be removing the beef from the heat at 145 and after the internal temp raised to 165 it would be well done instead.

These are a good idea however, for cooking on a spit because they can be left in while cooking and there are no cords that make electronic thermometers useless for spit cooking. Just remember to remove the meat from the oven or grill when the temperature is 25-50 degrees less than what the thermometer advises.

We purchased this machine about 6 months ago and have used it several times since then. We used it for about 60 people during a Ky. Derby party we had. It worked great and all of our friends loved it and how you could change the temp. to keep the hot dogs, brats, and links from getting to dried out if you fixed to many. Lets just say that wasnt a problem because the were plump and juicy so they didnt last long. My wife and i would purchase equipment from this company again. Not sure this is the same for everyone but we got ours a few days ahead of when it was supposed to get here. A nice surprise. Like opening a Christmas present!

So far our Royall RG2000 has been an excellent performer. It's solid 14 gage steel welded construction is not found in pellet smoker in this price range. The heavy construction along with its unique baffle plates for better circulation provided us good temp stability, even grate temperature with even heating throughout for roasting and baking. Another reason we purchase this smoker to replace our 7 year old pellet grill is the 12 inches of room. This is large enough for large stand up turkeys or two extra grates for a total of 1254 sq. in of cooking area. I easily smoke 6 racks of ribs at one time. I would recommend this pit to anyone looking for a cheaper quality pellet grill.

Do not buy this product. They use a Traeger controller with the name Traeger crossed out with a marker. The temperature doesn't even get close to what they say it will. Mine worked 4 times and then quit working. The fire box wouldn't light but the auger kept turning, packing pellets into the firebox which then kicked out the breaker that it was plugged into. Royall did not answer my emails or phone me back. The paint was as good as a mid 90's Chevrolet. It flaked off in weeks and their warranty says it doesn't cover paint defects. My only hope is that I can get some cash back for the weight of the scrap metal. It might be made in America but it is a piece of junk, giving America a real bad name.

I never buy anything like this that doesn't require "modification". This was no exception. The box arrived destroyed. It had been wrapped in plastic wrap to hold it togethor. The delivery guy understood however that I wanted to check it out before I accepted it so he and I tore it apart to see if there was any damage. Amazingly, all the parts were there and there wasn't a scratch. Unreal considering the condition of the box but I will count my luck. Assembly -the firebox comes in two pieces (top/bottom). One of the holes didn't align at all (front left if looking down inside the top door)and I had to re-drill it. No big deal. The washers are entirely too small in the firebox as well and will press right through the holes here as you tighten them up.....so I put larger more substantial washers all the way around the inside of the fire box. The bolts for the firebox are realllllly looooowwwww grade and soft metal as well. Since the firebox flanges don't fit well togethor (ultimately leaving about 1/4 inch gap between top and bottom halves), it would be good if you could tighten it down all the way around to close the gap a bit......but the bolts are too cheap and will shear before you get there. If I had known this before getting most of them in, I would have replaced all of them with higher grade bolt, nuts and washers. Not sure why for $607 they couldn't spend another $8 for proper hardware here? The 1/4 inch gap is not a big deal however because it is in the firebox and allows a bit of air into the combustion chamber. If it were in the cooking chamber it would not be good. The other piece that had to be modified was the temp guage hole. It simply wasn't big enough for the temp guage to fit....so it had to be bored out before it fit snugly through the hole. (again, not a big deal). Smoking the fire box is good sized and got proper air flow (this is the absolute biggest and most important piece with these things). It could use a grate at the bottom that has smaller openings so it will hold charcoal (the charcoal slides right through it as it is). I will be fabricating a tighter screen to place on top of the current grate (which shouldn't be difficult). I ultimately used a mixture of charcoal and wood for the fire. This will take a bit of study as I go to get the mixture right but I feel I was on the right path. The unit does leak around the main door just a bit, but again, it appears maintaining temp is not going to be too difficult because of the large firebox and proper openings for air in/out. All of offset smokers leak air to some extent. As with all offset smokers, this one could also use a convection plate that carries the heat further down towards the center of the cooking chamber instead of most of the heat coming up on the right side where the firepit hole is. I will be fabricating one of these as well (againshouldn't be difficult). I also wish the smokestack entered the cooking chamber down near the cooking grates. This would help force the heat and smoke to exit at a lower level (thereby smoking/cooking the meat better). The tendancy with exit holes this high is that the heat goes straight up, then over to the exit, bypassing the meat to some extent. I have only seen one offset smoker that got this point right however. I will maybe see if I can fabricate an exension of the pipe inside the smoker to lower its entry point. I see all of these things as items that I would have to do to almost every offset smoker out there btw. It did smoke a shoulder to 180 degrees over about 7hrs. I was playing with the temp the whole time however trying to figure out the best combination. All smokers will require a bit of a learning curve. The smoker as a whole appears sturdy and looks like it will hold a good amount of meat. I am probably going to mount two more good quality thermometers to it....right at the cooking surface with one on the right and one on the left so I can try and even the heat out from one side to the other with convection plate design.

The grill showed up in a torn box.When I put it together the two haves of the fire bow did not match up very well and there is a small separation in it to the point that I think it effects the temp in the firebox. The thermostat was also broken and is off on the temperature by 50 degrees. The rest of the grill is well constructed but I expected a lot more for 600 dollars. I would send it back if it wasn't for all the hassles, this is the first Smoke Hollow grill I have owned and I am not happy with it.

Perhaps to some who have reviewed, a box is what is REALLY important. Perhaps some lack the simple engineering skills to assemble a smoker correctly. I dont know, so I wont speculate.

What I can say, is this is a quality offset. Now having said that it is definitely not a Lang. It is also not $2,000. If you are looking for a smoker that is a better quality that what you can get at your local box hardware store, then this may very well be the one.

The steel is a higher, thicker quality. Again, not Lang, but definitely workable. The construction is solid, and durable.

This like most offsets, and like another reviewer mentioned, can use some modifications.

The pass through on most offsets create a hot spot on one side, and cool on the other. The construction of the vent pipe is a bit akward. This, like most offsets, has the temp gauge at the very top. (this has never made sense to me, as basic physics dictates that heat rises. If heat rises and pools at the top, how do you know what the true deck level temp is?)

Spend one day on a weekend, and a little extra cash, and you can make this smoker a competition worthy smoker.

Buy a Horizon convection plate. This will ssolve your hot spot/cool spot issue.

I have had an excellent experience with this grill basket. It says not to put it in the dish washer, but as long as you oil the wooden handle after, it does fine. My only complaint is that if the contents are too small they slip throught the grate. Other than that, I love it.

It's a little big for 1 or 2 servings but you can also do veggies at same time. Handle is nice and long but made of wood so no dishwasher.

Used with Weber Silver grill. Lid would not shut as it hits the basket handle. Designed not to flip either. Poor design.

It workshowever we got it to use for vegetables on the grill. Probably not the best idea because the slats are pretty wide and there really isn't a way to cut squash, onions, carrots, etc.. so that they won't fall out when you turn it.

I would really only recommend this for big stuff like fish fillets or hot dogs over a campfire. Anything cubed or sliced into strips can/ will fall out. The holes/ slats are anywhere from 1"x1" -1"x 2" long in some places.

Overall the product is made well and is sturdy.
