This is a convenient grilling accessory that can be stored in the grill due to the removable handle. Excellent results with fish and veggies. Very easy to clean Teflon. Will be used often when we are finally outta here cruising. By all means escape ASAP but not without one of these.

Uh oh....had to edit review down to two stars after some use of it.

The Teflon completely burned off. We had used it about 6-8 times. Also, it warped from the heat.

We keep the heat as low a setting as it will allow. Water spray bottle continuously....to cool, which is a nuisance.

This is not working out favorably. Grill is less than a year old.

Grill tray less than a year old as well.

I've had my CharBroil grill for 8+ years now and this is the second time I've replaced the grates. The first time was under warranty, so this is the first time I've actually bought a set. Long story short, these aren't exactly like the originals but fit just the same. Plus, I saved $100. Only time will tell how they stand up, but it looks promising.

I have the digital thermometers and such, but this has proven to be the best way to go! I purchased a couple of them and I had to grill 6 tri tips for a cater job which made it so simple and quick to check the temps on each of them quickly. Each one turned out perfect!

This is worth every penny. Digital ones are nice but if you're not looking to spend much and get a dinner cooked right then get this. I use it for meals I made in the slow cooker (even though it comes with a digital one) and with meals I bake or roast in the oven. I wouldn't recommend using this for the grill as the pointer take a minute to stop at the temperature your food is. And one minute on the grill can turn your expensive butterflied filet mignon from medium to well done. It's a good size and doesn't make huge holes in your food. I like the cover for it. I'm not a chef and don't wear an apron (anymore) so won't put it in a pocket, but if my little one got his hands on it I'd have a few moments to get it from him before he pulls it out and pokes himself with it. Why do moms have to think of the worst scenarios?

My last grill was a decent Char-Broil model with a cast oven made before the current era of poorly-made Chinese grills. It didn't cost a fortune, but it lasted for about seven years, being used very regularly. Based on a bit of research, I was hoping that this made-in-North America Huntington grill was at least a cut above Char-Broil's garbage of today. After assembling it, I'm now hoping that maybe I'll get two years of use out of it. Pre-assembled parts were not assembled correctly, making it impossible to assemble the grill without first fixing the errors made at the factory. Parts were bent. Screw holes were not properly aligned. Paint was chipped. All of this came out of a box that didn't appear to be harmed in shipping at all. Indeed, I was initially impressed by the design of the packaging materials. Then I discovered that the parts must have been damaged before they were even packaged!

Aside from these issues, there are at least two ways in which the grill is poorly designed. For one, the warming rack legs don't fit into any holes in the lower half of the oven. They just sit there on the edges of the bottom half of the oven. Try to clean the rack when the grill is still hot, and the rack falls down onto the main grate. Wonderful. Accidentally nudge the warming rack when grilling, and the same thing is bound to happen. Second, there are massive vent holes on the back of the top half of the oven. Aren't grills supposed to get as hot as possible? Moreover, unlike Char-Broil, it doesn't look like Huntington offers a rock grate that also covers the burner. The grease drain cup sits right in front of/against the propane tank, as well, making it difficult to turn the propane on and off.

On the positive side, so far it seems like the grill gets fairly hot and cooks fairly evenly. There are quite a lot of flare ups, which would make a rock grate even that much more useful. I'm going to put briquettes in without a grate, but that's certainly not ideal.

In short, wish me luck and beware...

My dealer replaced my chipping, rusting porcelain over cast iron grates. Only two for a D4 head instead of the three cast iron set.

Rods seem to hold the burgers and sausage better than the cast set did. Much easier to clean. These are an improvement.

Appear to be just what I wanted. Haven't used them yet. Order was confusing regarding shipping dates, got two different dates signficantly appart from one another and the item showed up much sooner than both dates listed in the order. Picked up a bag of these at the local hardware store, and promptly returned them. Very cheaply made, soft, porous, edges chip easily, non-uniform size, etc. These are about the size and shape of a charcoal briquette, with curved top and bottom sides that make them very unstable on a rock grate. Each briquette has wood splinters in-bedded in the surface to impart wood flavor. I suspect that this will quickly burn away, leaving holes in the ceramic surface that will trap grease. Might as well use lava rock. Would be surprised if these would last a full grilling season. Will be ordering more Mr BBQ ceramic briquettes that I have used for years before without problems.

I'm not sure if I received a bad unit, but my tape dispenser does not work at all. Just tried to use it while processing an elk. It inconsistently taped the bags and rarely cleanly cut the tape. It never reset properly, so I always had to hand reset the tape, wasting time and tape. Before freezing all of the bags, I had to re-seal about half of the bags. I will be calling Eastman Outdoors, hopefully I just received a defective unit and a new one will work better.

I bought these to move charcoal coals, but found the tong tips aren't well suited to this task. The spring action is stronger than it needs to be. I think they'd be OK for handling food on a grill, but I already have tongs better suited for that. So, I just use these to move the charcoal around after I dump it from a lighting chimney.

Well built grill, the only downside I find is that it burns really HOT and a cover is not made to fit this grill, if you do not want to ruin your veges steaks etc. wait at least 30 mins after lighting charcoal before adding your steak. After jumping through hoops an alternate cover was finally recommended by the manufacturer.

Just used a handful of these in the Old Smokey to do some ribs and jerky, these were perfect, not near as strong as using hickory and has little more flavor than using apple or maple. Upon beginning the soaking in water I noticed the water color changed to the color of a nice whiskey... I was intrigued. After a 3 hour soak, I fired up the grill and put some into my smoker box. My guests kept asking what in the heck I was cooking that smelled like whiskey. I was slow cooking beef ribs and the flavor/smell that these chips imparted was absolutely wonderful. Not overpowering, but just noticeable. Will be buying more.

While soaking, it smells good like whiskey. Beyond soaking, it smokes well and gives meat a slight oak smoke flavor. No whiskey flavoring at all. Depending on temperature, 2 to 3 handfulls will smoke for an hour. Beyond that, the whiskey part is in my opinion just a gimmick.

I've got an "old" (33yrs.) Turco 5-Star grill,l purchased at Costco, that I have faithfully maintained and use 3-4 times a week year-round. I all that time I've replaced the "H" shaped burner three times with OEM (or close to it) stainless steel burners. As that type of burner will do, they eventually rust and split at the seams. I came across this Cast burner here at Amazon and decided to try it out. It works perfectly. The old burners had two venturi inlets, where this one has only one (although they supply two solid steel venturis). I simply used one of the old "flexible" venturi tubes and now use only one control valve instead of two, and everything works fine. Very high quality casting, and the last "burner" I'll ever need to buy.

I bought this item at my local Kroger store at the beginning of the summer (was a couple of dollars less than what Amazon currently has it listed for) and I love it! My favorite use for it is cooking fish in the oven. A little Pam in the bottom to keep the fish from sticking, 400 degrees for about 20 minutes in the oven, and it is perfect every time. Tonight I made some sea bass, and it was amazing! I have also used it to cook vegetables on both the grill and the oven. I have not tried cooking any type of meat in it, nor have I tried the steam method, so I don't know how well it works for that. But, the pan is sturdy, easy to clean, and so far is holding up well. It's definitely one of my favorite kitchen items.

Non-stick coating is as durable as tissue paper.

I only used this once, to grill some salmon. I didn't use any metal utensils, and was gentle about placing it on the grill. When I washed it and looked at it later, it had 3-4 scratches. They weren't deep, but they were enough that they pulled the coating right off. I prefer not to have non-stick coating in my food so I had to return it.

As far as how it performed, it did really well. My fish came out perfect. You can also use this to bake in the oven and poach. Very useful little cooker. I was really bummed about the durability, it's such a great idea, just uses poor quality materials.
