couple also benefit from some instructions...i thought it was to narrow at first, before i figured out you had to apply downward pressure to spread out the ends to fit the sides of the other accessories

Best SMOKER/GRILL GOURMET BLK Deals
This little smoker is a gem. It's easy to assemble, and easy to use. This barbecue is perfect if (like me,) you just want great eating with only modest fuss. It's more work than grilling meat, but much less work than with a more expensive smoker. Brinkman doesn't give you much control over the heat. And because of that, there isn't much to set wrong and ruin your dinner. The guys for whom barbecuing is a lifestyle, scoff over this unit. That's fine, because they love to tweak every minute detail in the quest to get the perfect ribs. If you're like that, you'll outgrow this unit quick. As for me, I set it up, check it once in awhile and happily eat great food a few hours later. The first time I used it, I lit too much charcoal, and I couldn't get the tempurature down to where I thought it should be (mid to low of "ideal range." It was getting late, so I swallowed hard and threw a rack of St. Louis ribs on it. They were supposed to smoke for 4-5 hours. But because it was so hot, they were done in about 3. You know what? They were fantastic. The next time I over compensated and used too little charcoal while smoking about 20 Sausages The tempurature fell, and wouldn't come up. So I just added charcoal, and waited a bit longer. We still had a great dinner that night. My point? Brinkman designed it so that it is forgiving, and dummy friendly.
The ad above mentions that it can be converted to a charcoal grill. Yes it can, easily. The unit has 3 main parts. The charcoal pan, the tube/cylinder and the lid. You can take just the pan and lid, and use it as a table top/portable charcoal grill. It's a little larger than a Smokey Joe grill this way. Or, you can also sit the tube/cylinder straight on the ground, and set the charcoal pan on top of it. That way you don't need a table, or to be on your knees. We are a family of 4, and find it to be just large enough for the four of us. If you're throwing a party, you're going to want to smoke something anyway, and the smoker can hold a whole lot of meat.
If you do buy this unit, it will work pretty good right out of the box. But for about 10 bucks and 30 minutes, you can make a really good modification that will make your charcoal burn longer. I did it, and it works great:
The review would be 5 stars except that the temperature gague says "warm" "ideal" and "hot," but neither the manual nor the company knows exactly what temperature range those words correspond to. I actually contacted them and asked, and the answers I got were imprecise.
I've found, for example, that "ideal" is great for doing a chicken in 2-3 hours, but you want it at the high end of "warm" cooler if doing brisket for 10-12. Otherwise, though, no complaints.

So far, I've done briskets, pork shoulders, chickens, turkeys and salmon, and everything has turned out grat. It's easy to use, easy to feed and keeps food moist; the water pan works as a buffer. The review would be 5 stars except that the temperature gague says "warm" "ideal" and "hot," but neither the manual nor the company knows exactly what temperature range those words correspond to. My wife an I like to enjoy a glass of wine by the fire. Previously we lived in an area where we could have a real fire and just relax. We recently moved to a restricted area where we could not burn wood. We purchased this pit because it was the largest of the portable units (most camp areas around here have burn bans during summer droughts). We were pleasantly surprised at the inital quality of the unit (only time will tell on actual quality) The paint has a thick enduring feel and the weight seems substantial.
We have so far found that on a mid 60*F night we only turn the pit on less than half way. At full tilt it is more than a comfortable temperature.
Our only complaint is that the images are clearly photshopped. The flames that we get at full are about a foot tall. We do not get any of the two foot flames that are pictured. the flames are proportional to the size and more than adequate for us. I will post pictures when we fire it up this weekend.
As another reviewer stated the bowl is actually black, and not the polished bronze that's pictured. They really need to fix the picture. While it didn't make a difference for me, I'm sure some people care more about their decor than I do. It's also smaller than a comparable wood fire bowl. The pictures lack context so this is hard to discern, but it may be a good bit smaller than you expect. Great for portability, but I wouldn't try to get more than 4-5 people around it.
The bowl assembled very quickly and within 10min or so I had it hooked-up to my extra propane tank and away we went. There doesn't seem to be a great deal of difference in terms of flame size between the High and Low settings (neither came close the picture), but either way it puts off a good amount of heat without all the nasty smoke and there is a discernable flame, which is nice.
So far we're happy with the purchase. We'll see if it stands the test of time. Would give it 5 stars, but the wrong bowl color and somewhat misleading flame in the picture and I'll call it a solid 4.
Set up was a breeze. It appears to be well made and the metal is reasonably thick. burner control is nice, reminds me of a Weber. A big feature that should be included (but is not) is an ignitor! Bending over with a lighter or match is a little awkward and did put my bearded mug a little too close to the initial flames in my opinion.
We have a bulk LP tank with a quick connect for our existing BBQ so I ordered an extension hose with quick connect end, removed the LP hose that came attached to this unit, attached the quick connect an voila! a nearly unlimited supply...though I suspect without some diligence our gas bill could be hefty.
Unit is sitting on a wooden deck which was a concern for me. The wood below the fire bowl is slightly warm to the touch after burning on high for about an hour. The appears to be about 3" of clearance which doesn't sound like much but seems to allow any radiated heat to dissipate.
Another complaint is the color. It appears to be brownish or perhaps rust online. The unit arrived black.
Sitting here below the Tetons as the sun sets this unit is keeping the chill at bay.

I purchased one of these portable outdoor fire pits and love it. I use it on my patio in Pacific Northwest evenings and it's always the center of attention. My friends and family love it because we always end up outside longer than usual. Setup and teardown is quick and easy. The rocks that come with the unit cool down very quickly I can box it up 10 minutes after turning it off. It pumps out heat (way more than I expected), and 1/2 a standard size propane tank lasted for multiple hours at the highest flame setting. There is zero odor or smoke it's very clean burning. The hose length is more than ample to keep the propane tank a safe distance from the flame, and out of the way of chairs to surround the fire. I can without hesitation recommend this product.Best Deals for Heininger Outland 5995 58,000 BTU Portable Propane Outdoor Fire Pit
We recieved this fire pit a few days ago and we love it! We have had fire restrictions since June 18 in our area for open campfires. A friend of ours got a similar product, but we decided on this one instead of one like theirs. We are so glad we did. There is very little odor (if any} from the propane burning.(and I could smell theirs) It is great not to have any smoke to run from! We have been burning it on the lowest setting and it is perfect for us. I'm sure when it gets colder we will want to turn it up some, but it still puts out good heat on low. If you are just a few feet away it really looks just like a wood campfire burning. We would recommend this fire pit to anyone wanting an alternative to the wood campfire.Honest reviews on Heininger Outland 5995 58,000 BTU Portable Propane Outdoor Fire Pit
We've tried a few different wood fire bowls and friend's houses and always came away smelling like a chimney. We considered getting a chiminea as well, but those can be finicky and take up a lot of space. This propane fire bowl seemed an ideal solution and after breaking it out during a recent snow storm, we're pretty satisfied. As another reviewer stated the bowl is actually black, and not the polished bronze that's pictured. Vermont Casting VCS401SSP Four burner BBQ Grill in Stainless Steel Reviews
I purchased this grill in 2007 and all was well for the first year or two. After that the grill deteriorated much quicker than expected for a grill in this price range. Within 4 years the firebox rusted through where the burners attach. I found the stainless steel surfaces difficult to keep clean to prevent rust spots after only a few years. The drip pan rusted through after three years. I was meticulous about keeping the grill covered when not in use, although it stayed outside at all times.
I was told by the retailer that to clean the grill I should heat the grill to high heat similar to a self cleaning oven, then to brush down the resulting ash inside the firebox and empty it out. I did this every other week or so, depending on how much I'd used the grill the prior week. This was not sufficient to keep the grill clean enough to prevent rust-through of the firebox. We're not talking a light coat of surface rust. This was full on, crumbling metal, rotted through and falling apart in chunks rust. Pretty much the entire interior cooking area had a heavy coat of rust where it hadn't completely rusted through.
Also, the burners rusted over after a couple of years, requiring regular scrubbing with a wire brush and clearing out of the flame jet holes to keep gas flowing through the burners. And the porcelain enamel finish on the grates deteriorated significantly over time and in spite a coat of oil applied everytime prior to placing foods on the heated grates, food sticking on the grates was a problem the entire time I owned it.
Oh, and the electric starter stopped working within two years.
In spite of all the rust and the ugly appearance after just a few years, the grill continued to heat well and evenly. I never had a complaint about how it cooked. But the rust got so bad, I was afraid propane might start leaking and create a hazard.
Wondering if its close proximity to our swimming pool contributed to this grill's premature demise. Pool, or no pool, based on many reviews I've read of Weber gas grills going strong after 15 years or more, I can't recommend this grill if your expectation is to have it look and operate well after more than five years. For the price, I expected longer life.

Best 24 in. Pedestal Mounted Grill (Without Warming Rack) Deals
Customer Ratings:
List Price: $2,732.17
Sale Price: $1,638.90
Today's Bonus: 40% Off

PLUSES:
1. All stainless steal
2. All structural parts are welded not screwed together
3. 90%+ assembled
4. Assembly not done involved placing vaporizers and grates in the grill plus attaching side shelves. Time was about 10 minutes.
5. My local plumber connected the gas for the existing line in about 20 minutes and I then bolted to the deck (10 minutes).
6. Unpacking easy thanks to manufacturer
NEGATIVES:
1. Ordered White Glove Delivery Service from Appliance Connection for my ZIP code which includes unpacking and placing the grill on a ground level deck (two steps up like the first floor of the house). When the grill arrived in a week was informed by the driver they had no such service and would only leave the boxed grill and pallet on my driveway. After unpacking slid the grill 40' to my deck on packing material. Lifting the 165+ lb grill up the two steps to the deck for my wife and myself was very difficult.
2. Appliance Connection seems very disorganized.

Review of Cuisinart CRR-158 Folding Rib Rack
Customer Ratings:
List Price: $19.99
Sale Price: $14.99

I bought this in hopes of being able to smoke more ribs at one time. After reading the reviewsI was sold on this model because it folds and should be easy to store. That unfortunately was about the only positive for this rib rack. The problems arose when I tried to use this for four racks of St. Louis Style Ribs.
Problem oneSpacing is too tight for St. Louis Style, so I can imagine that full size is out of the question. Maybe Cuisinart is in to Baby backs.
Problem 2Raised portion for support of ribs is in the cente so the ends of your rack of ribs just flops and sad to say will touch each other. This totally defeats the benefit of a rib rackProper and complete air flow between multiple racks of ribs in less space.
I used this once and doubt if I will use it again.
The rack folds down for easy storage and is made from stainless steel. I spray the rack with an aerosol oil before I start cooking, then soak it in soapy water for an hour after a cook.
I have used this rack with baby backs, and they're pretty jammed in the rack and a bit hard to get out when they need to be sauced or checked for doneness. As usual, my ribs came out as tender as can be, but when this rack is filled, I needed to make sure that the racks of ribs were separated enough to allow the smoke to fully saturate the meat. With this rack, they tend to flop into each other.
ADDENDUM: After using this product a few times, I want to add that this is not an easy rack to clean. I've taken to soaking mine overnight to loosen all of the baked-on debris. Using a plastic mesh ball on this will pretty much pull the ball apart as it gets caught on the edges and ends of the rack, and it's easy to dislodge the moveable handles on the end which then have to be reinserted into the holder. Sadly, I'm still on the lookout for a rack I can use in my medium Big Green Egg.

Fall-off-the-bone ribs---without the char!!! This rack kept my ribs off of the grill and cooked evenly. The folding-feature makes it easy to store in the cupboard with my other pots and pans. Now I can let my drunk uncle man the grill, without fear that he will drop the ribs all over the coals. Probably won't help him keep the sauce from getting all over his face, but it is a step in the right direction. Mission accomplished. Ribs just got a whole lot easier to grill. GREAT PRODUCT.Honest reviews on Cuisinart CRR-158 Folding Rib Rack
Finally, a way to perfectly cook some delicious ribs! And by some, I mean enough for me and my friends, which is saying something. The rib rack is intuitive in usage, cleans and stores easily, and ensures proper cooking of your meat, with plenty of room for multiple racks. Good product!Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for Cuisinart CRR-158 Folding Rib Rack
I have a medium sized Big Green Egg that I use for smoking. The grill is 14 inches in diameter and can be tight if I need to do two racks of ribs. If I cut a normal rack of ribs in half, the resulting meat is too short to fit in a combination roast holder/rib rack. The reason the Cuisinart works is that it has the two metal supports that run the length of the rack. That adds support for the meat in the middle, not just the edges. Short racks of three to four ribs will be easily supported in this device allowing me to do at least two full racks of St. Louis cut or baby back ribs. The rack folds down for easy storage and is made from stainless steel. Cheap Weber Slide Aside Lid Holder - 16116
This is more of a lid holder than nifty tool that lets it "slide aside"
The thing is held to the grill by two flat hooks that don't do a good job of holding it flat against the grill. The result is that there is a lot of horizontal play when the lid is sitting in it.
Overall, it's better than using the built in lid hook to hang it on the grill handle, but not by a lot.

I had a Weber kettle with a built-in lid holder for about 10 years. It was on it's last legs so when I moved I junked it and bought a new one. Unfortunately it didn't have the lid holder so I ordered a Slide-Aside. It clips over the top edge of the kettle and the lower portion just rests against the lower side of the kettle. It is narrower than the built-in variety and the bottom just sort of flops free. It does the job but I have to be careful not to pull it off the top of the kettle when I put the lid back on. Also, the clips that hold it to the top edge keep the lid from sealing completely, so when I finish cooking something and close the top and bottom vents air still gets in around the lid and keeps the charcoal burning much longer. It used to be I could cook a steak, close the vents, and the next time most of the charcoal would be left. Now most of the charcoal is gone and I have to sift down the ashes and refill the charcoal holders almost every time.Best Deals for Weber Slide Aside Lid Holder - 16116
This is a relatively simple product so I will get straight to the point. I have a 18 1/2 one-touch gold and the lid already had a hook built in that would hold it to the uncovered grill. This device is inexpensive and will hold the lid a little more securely than the hook will. The only negative I could possible think of is that I have to remove the slide aside (takes all of 2 seconds) to fit the Weber deluxe cover over the grill. I also think this would be even better if I had the 22 1/2 inch grill since the lid for that is almost twice as heavy (neighbor has one). Not a necessity, but a decent add on for the grill. I gave it 5 stars because it fit perfect out of the box and does exactly what it says it will.Honest reviews on Weber Slide Aside Lid Holder - 16116
It seems to work fine except the lid does not sit at a right angle to the grill as shown in the picture. Quite honestly, the large (not small) hook on the inner side of the grill top is quite sufficient for hanging the top from the handle. However, if you are going to cook with the top on, then I'm not certain the handle would withstand the heat from the hook. In such a case, the 'Slide-Aside' would be very useful.Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for Weber Slide Aside Lid Holder - 16116

Burner was priced well below competitors. I chose 3 day shipping and had them installed in time for the next weekend. New ones were perfect fit and easy to install. Burner pattern looks very good.

The Music City Metals 10801 Stainless Steel burner replacement is equivalent to original equipment quality. It is sturdy and fit my Nextel grill perfectly. It comes with new wings nuts in case you forgot to save your originals when you removed the failed burner. This replacement costs about half of an original equipment burner and I am totally satisfied. I was super excited when we received this in the mail for our barbecue. I pulled out the first one and right away we put them into their spots. The first one looks and works great. Then we got the second one pulled out and the part where the screw is to stabilize the burner was loose and it works but the burner isn't very tight. The third one was broken. The screw was busted off so we couldn't even put this in our barbecue because it was too dangerous because it had no way of being stabilized. I think if all three would have come like the first one that we pulled out then I think it would be great.Honest reviews on Music City Metals 10801 Stainless Steel Burner Replacement

We bought 2 off this item to replace our cast iron burners that were rusted over. It has given us wider burning range reducing cold spots and hopefully will last longer. Very pleased could not be happier.Sunday, July 13, 2014
Best 21st Century B32A4P EZ Flex Adjustable Universal Venturi Tubes Deals

List Price: $14.99

Price was quite a bit cheaper than buying a whole new burner and venturi set.
These were really thin material and tore loose the first time I had to take
the grill to a party.
Would not recommend them unless you are going to put them on a grill that never
gets moved. If I had it to do over again I'd just go ahead and buy another
whole new burner that comes with them.

Some critters chewed through my old venturi tubes and I needed a quick replacement. I was a little worried that it looked like it was shipping from China and could take 1-2 months, but they arrived in just a few day. Great, cheap solution.Honest reviews on 21st Century B32A4P EZ Flex Adjustable Universal Venturi Tubes
These are simple lightweight venturi tubes with adjustable lengths and adjustable air intakes. I wouldn't recommend them for a grill that is always on the move, but for a stationary unit they should last a while. The only design flaw is that the two mounting holes should be slotted to accommodate a variety of greater variety of distances between the mounting screws. (Only one is slightly slotted.) I had to re-drill both holes to reduce the distance between them.Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for 21st Century B32A4P EZ Flex Adjustable Universal Venturi Tubes
Worked great to replace the original Venturi tubes. We had an older grill that we re-purposed as a tailgating grill, and had to replace a couple parts.Wednesday, July 9, 2014

These fit my Grill Master 720-0697 very well dropped right in. As with most grills costing less that $800 you start replacing parts after about two years and these were the first to go. They seem to be thinner metal but who knows if they will last longer. Fortunately these are the only parts I know of that need to be replaced this year! Cheap fix.
Black and glossy. Good construction

The order was convient and the part worked perfect. Some of the enamal was a little bubbly and cost seems a little high ($62 w/S&H) for three pieces of coated sheet metal for a $190 grill.Honest reviews on Music City Metals 97371 Porcelain Steel Heat Plate Replacement

Reviews of Burlap Tree Wrap - 4 Inch x 100 Yards
Super fast shipping! Seriously, this arrived the day after it shipped. Looks exactly as pictured. We are using this to make chair ties for a rustic inspired wedding. It's a way better alternative to buying expensive burlap ribbon. If you have any intention for using this in a decorative way like I am you should be aware that it does have that burlap sort of smell. You don't really notice it unless your face is pressed up against it so I'm not going to worry.

I love this tree wrap! I used it to wrap packages this last Xmas and it was perfect! It's a little messy but makes elegant shabby chic presentation! Will order again!Best Deals for Burlap Tree Wrap - 4 Inch x 100 Yards
I used this as ribbon for my outdoors-themed Christmas tree. It's perfect! I might try to make a bow with it, too. I have a TON of it left so I can't wait to find other projects and crafts to do with this stuff. The edges are raw so it does unravel a bit on the sides.Honest reviews on Burlap Tree Wrap - 4 Inch x 100 Yards
Was hesitant about making this purchase. SO glad that I did!!! Shopped for burlap in Wal-mart to make some crafts with and was a little taken back by the price. I needed a large amount of burlap for a cheap price. So I said a Hail Mary and purchased this. It has worked perfectly for what I needed. I bought two rolls and have made 3 18in wreaths and have at least 1 1/3 of a rolls left. The burlap has a distinct smell (I placed each wreath outside for a night to air out). It also is not finished, so it has threads that pull off. This was not a detriment to me as it made my projects have that weathered/old feel. If your using this for crafts and don't like the strings they are easy to cut off. I love them for the wreaths I have made so far. This product was perfect for what I needed. I only wish I had bought another roll!Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for Burlap Tree Wrap - 4 Inch x 100 Yards

The price shown is for ONE cooking bag, while for similar price you can get Emirl's cooking bag which work as well if not better. You are paying for the name "Jim Beam" here don't do it.
On the grill, I get better results ising my stainless steel Weber wood chip box.

Before I purchased my stove top smoker, I decided to try these Smoker Bags for the oven, and boy was I happy with the purchase. They work great, with very little effort. For those who would prefer to use the oven when the weather cools off, I would suggest you try these bags. It's less expensive that the stove top smoker, but as I found out, they are both great to have. With the Smoker bags you just place your meat inside and put in the oven. It really makes your house smell great.
