This a nice small grill, My major issue is that it does not come with a grate for the charcol to rest on. When charcol is placed on the bottom of the grill pan and you close the lid, it causes to fire to diminish. the only way to keep to the fire going is to not use the cover. Not sure if this was a missing part that was not included or it's not included.

I purchased this grill in 2007 and all was well for the first year or two. After that the grill deteriorated much quicker than expected for a grill in this price range. Within 4 years the firebox rusted through where the burners attach. I found the stainless steel surfaces difficult to keep clean to prevent rust spots after only a few years. The drip pan rusted through after three years. I was meticulous about keeping the grill covered when not in use, although it stayed outside at all times.

I was told by the retailer that to clean the grill I should heat the grill to high heat similar to a self cleaning oven, then to brush down the resulting ash inside the firebox and empty it out. I did this every other week or so, depending on how much I'd used the grill the prior week. This was not sufficient to keep the grill clean enough to prevent rust-through of the firebox. We're not talking a light coat of surface rust. This was full on, crumbling metal, rotted through and falling apart in chunks rust. Pretty much the entire interior cooking area had a heavy coat of rust where it hadn't completely rusted through.

Also, the burners rusted over after a couple of years, requiring regular scrubbing with a wire brush and clearing out of the flame jet holes to keep gas flowing through the burners. And the porcelain enamel finish on the grates deteriorated significantly over time and in spite a coat of oil applied everytime prior to placing foods on the heated grates, food sticking on the grates was a problem the entire time I owned it.

Oh, and the electric starter stopped working within two years.

In spite of all the rust and the ugly appearance after just a few years, the grill continued to heat well and evenly. I never had a complaint about how it cooked. But the rust got so bad, I was afraid propane might start leaking and create a hazard.

Wondering if its close proximity to our swimming pool contributed to this grill's premature demise. Pool, or no pool, based on many reviews I've read of Weber gas grills going strong after 15 years or more, I can't recommend this grill if your expectation is to have it look and operate well after more than five years. For the price, I expected longer life.

I believe these work better than my original heavy-duty stainless steel ones did that came with my DCS grill. The sheilding around the spark electrode is a bit cheap, but it does the job well. Make sure to adjust the electrode-to-shield distance prior to installing so the right spark can be obtained.

They came without the handles to hold on to even though there were instructions on how to put them on. I tried to contact the seller at the email address provided but no response. I made my own wooden handles. Also the legs were bent upon arrival. I was worried but the steel was thin enough that I easily bent them back into place. Of course this means they will bend again just as easily. All in all a fun gag type gift, just a little disappointing.

This lighter comes adjusted with a small maximum flame for safety reasons but can easily be readjusted for a larger flame. Loosen the small set screw on the side of the flame adjustment knob. Notice the marks on the bottom of the knob for correct orientation. Remove the knob. Turn the fluted shaft very slightly (1 detent) counterclockwise. Replace the knob, test, and repeat until you get the size flame you want. Be careful, this lighter can shoot out a six inch flame. The fluid should be full when this is done to prevent over adjusting. This is a very dangerous product but quite useful for lighting candles and lanterns.

I use lighting devices like this every day to light candles at our bed & breakfast establishment. I was excited when I saw that Zippo had put one on the market because I was aware of Zippo's reputation for elegantly designed, reliable lighters. I have been disappointed to discover that although the thing looks pretty and appears to be well-made, it is clumsy and awkward to operate. The safety button is in the wrong place to be comfortably depressed while striking the lighter. Compared to other devices of this type, the Zippo does not have much distance between the flame and your hand making it difficult to light wicks that are down inside jar-type candles. Also, the fuel-level indicator is nearly impossible to see making it difficult to know when the thing needs re-filling. I am much happier with way cheaper such devices that are more versatile, user-friendly, and ergonomically designed.

What I hate about most household lighters is how flimsy and cheaply made they are. To be honest I am a bit of a worrywart and I am very uncomfortable with throwing the disposable lighters away for fear of starting a fire. Scoff if you like but it's not out of the realm of possibility.

What I love about this Zippo household lighter is how durable and long lasting it is. I don't have to throw it away, just refill it. It's of a metal design, not plastic and has a very convenient safety function (you have to depress a button on the underside of the lighter while flicking the switch on the upper side with your thumb). While it might not be as versatile, the extension of the flame from your hand is only about 4 or 5 inches, the quality is light years ahead of the plastic brands.

I have a larger version of this Zippo lighter that is probably 5 or 6 years old and had the same problem. The solution was to remove the adjusting knob by pulling straight back and replace it in a slightly different position.

This new lighter is different in that it has a stop that is made of brass. This is a small brash washer with nub that rests against one of two stops molded into the end piece that the adjustment knob sits in. If you remove the black adjustment knob you will find a fluted brass tube that surrounds the gas filler tube. Grasp the black adjustment knob firmly and pull it out of the end piece or shroud. I take my thumb nail and pry the knob up a bit to get it started. Once you remove the knob you will find the fluted brass tube that adjusts the flame. At the bottom of that fluted tube you will find the brass washer with the nub probably resting against one of the stops. On mine there were 2 very small rubber O rings that hold the brass washer down. Using a very small screw driver I pried the 2 O rings off which gave me access to the brass washer. This is also fluted and slides over the brass tube. Taking a small, thin screwdriver I was able to pry this washer up and off the brass tube. This was a slightly tedious process and took time. At this point you could probably toss the washer, reassemble the adjustment mechanism and have an overly adjustable lighter. I chose, however, to reinstall the brass washer but rotate it a few flutes which, after reassembling, made the lighter vastly more adjustable but still within limits. After placing the brash washer I had some trouble getting the O rings back on but inserting both jaws of a needle nose pliers I was easily able to stretch them over the brass tube and push them down over the washer.

I hope this helps and my instructions are not too awkward. It was a bit of a tedious process but very doable and resulted in having a lighter that is much more adjustable and able to throw a several inch long flame.

I have three of these lighters and they have all worked poorly. Low to non-existent flame, no matter how adjusted. BUT I discovered the Amazon review that talks about adjusting the flame. This is slightly more than turning the black knob on the base. You must pull off the knob, and loosen a screw slightly, and then turn the adjuster one little click counter-clockwise, tighten the screw up and then put the black knob back on. Now try it. I was ready to send them all back to ZIPPO in one big box with 1 $5.00 check and hpe for the best, but it is now not necessary.

All are working and all are working better than they ever have.

IF YOURS IS WORKING POORLY TRY THE ADJUSTMENT.

This grill is simply amazing. It is made entirely out of stainless steel, and arrives fully assembled. It is quite heavy, and it is a two person job getting it off the wooden pallet it is shipped on. To hook it up to natural gas, the manufacturer recommends SOL-12HOSE12, however, as I found out, it does not come with all the fittings needed. The grill has a 1/2" FPT (Female Pipe Thread), and hose has a 1/2" flare connection. You will need a 1/2" MPT (Male Pipe Thread) to 1/2" Male Flare adapter. You'll find these at your hardware store in the same section where they keep fittings to hook up your gas appliances. Make sure you put pipe dope on the pipe thread, but not on the flare thread. The other end of the hose has a quick connect fitting, with a 1/2" FPT. In my case, the gas outlet on the outside of my house had a 1/2" FPT as well, so I had to get a 1/2" MPT to MPT fitting, which I found in the same area in my hardware store as the other fitting. Make sure you liberally apply pipe dope to the male fittings and leak check with 1 part dish liquid, 1 part water, brush it onto all the fittings, including the ones that were factory installed.

The grill heats up very quickly. The infrared is glowing red within minutes. To grill steaks, I put them on the infrared burner, 2 minutes on each side (turning them 90 degrees after 1 minute to give them a cross pattern), and then I move them to the convection side to finish cooking them. Make sure you leave the lid open, unless you turn down the burners.

I bought this grill to replace a 26,000 BTU Weber propane grill, and the difference is like night and day. With the amount of energy this grill puts out, I'm happy I went with the natural gas version. I have a feeling it would go through propane tanks like there is no tomorrow. Another nice feature is that it can be converted into a built-in grill should I ever decide to build a bbq island. The grill is the same as the non-cart version and it is just bolted to the cart. The cart itself is quite basic. It has a little raised shelf on the bottom inside, and it has a shelf on the inside of each door, but there are no hooks to hang things like brushes or tongs on.

I got this stand today for my Weber Q 200.

It's not the stoutest thing you could imagine but it is most sufficient for the job required. Anything more would just get heavier.

Also, the engineering design itself is really quite convenient once you study how to best use it. While it came completely assembled it does have a learning curve.

I spent about thirty minutes trying different approaches to raising and lowering the setup until finally it became a very simple task. Those complaining about not being able to raise the stand w/o taking the grill off are wrong and need to practice a bit more until they discover the trick to it. I can set this up or break it down in about 30 seconds.

I did chose to make one change however. I think someone else mentioned doing the same.

It has a long velcro strap for holding the cart in it's folded position. I instead use the strap to tie down the grill lid to the front of the cart. This makes it one integral unit so that I can raise or lower the whole grill without it becoming detached from the cart.

When upright, make certain to "completely" lock in the wire support to the wheel axle. It not only snaps "over" the axle but also snaps on the "underside" as well.

Steps to how I raise and lower the grill while on the cart.

1. Strap the grill handle to the front of the cart with the velcro strap. IMPORTANT!

2. Release the wire shelf at the bottom from the wheel axle.

3. Lift the wire shelf with your right hand while holding the left side of the grill with your left hand.

4. Pick up on the left side of the grill to take the weight off the leftside legs and at the same time pull up on the wire shelf in your right hand. (This folds the left side legs under the grill.)

5. Put your right foot in front of one of the wheels to keep them from rolling and lean the whole setup over the right side legs while at the same time lowering the unit to the ground and off you go!

VERY SIMPLE TO DO! This is all done in one flowing motion actually and it takes about 15 seconds. But DO NOT forget step one, attaching the grill to the cart with the velcro strap.

To raise simply do the reverse. Start by leaning the grill on its left side and pulling out the wire grill (if you tucked it under). Pull the wheels out to the right. Hold the wire grill in your right hand and pick the grills left side up with your left hand. Push the wire down and the left legs over and snap the wire in the axle. EASY!

It works great like this and I am VERY glad I purchased the cart. I can't imagine being without it!

OH! And does this grill ever do a fine job cooking! It is terrific!

I am very pleased with my setup and have no doubt it will be well worth the investment. I'm sure you will be as well.

If you have invested in a Q or Baby Q grill, then there is absolutely NO point of NOT buying this cart. I have tried grilling without it (putting the Q on the floor), it was not fun. Besides, it is great to tow the Q with you if you have to walk to your grilling place. Get it, you won't be sorry that you did.

I have the Weber Baby Q and love the grill. I wanted to add the cart and was please to read that it is for the Q or the Baby Q. WRONG! This cart only works for the Q. It has two little brackets at the back corners that the legs of the Q fit into to hold it in place. Those brackets don't hold the Baby Q legs. They are too wide.

So the Baby Q just sits on top of this thing, doesn't attach like the Q. I called Weber and their Rep actually tried one they had there and she said, "You're right, it doesn't fit." She was going to submit a request to their design dept to look at this as it would be a very minor change to the mold when they make the top part of the stand.

I'm returning mine, but I still love the Baby Q.

UPDATE: Although I cannot change the rating I gave this, I must say that there is a version of this cart that DOES fit the Baby Q. Weber originally had a cart that ONLY fit the Q. That was the one I got, being told it fit both. I now have the updated version of this cart and am very happy with it.

Got this cart for my Q220. It has slots for holding both the 200-series Q grills as well as the 100-series Baby Q's. Note: If you have a Baby Q, make sure you are getting the cart with the slots for it. The earlier carts didn't because the Baby Q didn't exist.

There was no assembly required. Just unfold the cart and put the grill on it.

It is made of good materials. It is sturdy and should last for years. However, it is quite wobbly. I had to hold on to the grill while scrubbing it to stabilize it somewhat. That didn't help though because it was still shaking hard enough to knock the bowl off the foldout tray table. I think stability is only an issue when scrubbing, so make sure you clear the foldout tables before you do it.

The cart turns into a trolley mode, where you can drag the grill around like luggage. The "handle" can bang up against the regulator knob when you're dragging it. It is best to turn the grill around when in this mode so the regulator is on the other side. This is a minor design flaw, in my opinion.

Overall, I'm pleased with the portability of this cart, but I am considering getting the stationary cart for when I'm using the grill at home.

This mitt is okay for the BBQ. It's not very protective if you have anything very hot on the grill. I was using a steel vegetable basket on the grill and when I went to remove it with this mitt it started to burn through the mitt. I'd only use this mitt for turning things like metal kabob skewers.

The mitt insulation pretty decent for holding a seasoning shaker over your food or for opening the grill. The finger/thumb split is a bit small for larger seasoning containers which can lead to dropped and melted ones. As an example it is marginal for the smaller 14 ounce McCormick Grill Mates jars and you'll likely drop one of the large 29 ounce ones.

I am extremely happy with this grill and want to give 5 stars. There are a couple items that need to be addressed before that can happen, however. There was one nut missing from the assembly package, and the knob on the vent flue melted off today on the second use of this grill. I was searing a steak and brought the heat to 525 for about 7 minutes. When I turned the steaks and cut the air and reached up to the knob, it was melted. I'll see if the company has a repair and will revisit the assessment later.

This is my second Kamado. I have had the BGE-L for five years and love it. It does whatever you can do with Kamados. However, now I am far from home and was very happy that this Vision Grill shipped to my location. In fact, it was the only ceramic grill that would do that for me. The build quality is very good. Hardware all appears to be stainless, inside and out. Assembly was easy, and they provided the single wrench needed to accomplish that. The wrench was a good quality wrench, not a punched sheet metal job. Instructions were not necessary but were included, and assembly took about 10 minutes. I was cooking within 20 minutes of bringing the grill home.

Ceramic construction appears solid and the unit works well. Firebox maintains a standoff from the exterior ceramic shell. Spring assisted hinge makes the lid light and easy to handle. Shelves are easy to lift off or swing down. The intake is very good and easy to use. Seems that the intake is set up better than my BGE. I'd say the same for the exhaust if the knob didn't melt off... then agian the BGE exhaust is steel so there is nothing to melt.

Cooking time seems adequate. The firebox doesn't take very much fuel (maybe half-gallon or less) and I cooked on it for about three hours at about 350 deg last night before cutting the air and cooling it down. It took about three hours to cool and probably burned most of the rest of the fuel in the process, but there was a handful left today. Today I went for a sear job and found that it took about 5 minutes to reach 100 degrees, 10 to reach 200, 15 to reach 300, 20 to reach 400, and was at 500 in about 33 minutes. Steak seared well and was excellent with no flare ups, with minimal heat loss at turn times. I'd say the speed and cook quality were comparable with the BGE but with much less fuel (corresponding with the smaller cooking surface, of course).

Packaging was very good. I was a bit concerned because I had to place the box on a customs check and the jackass operator reversed the belt and dropped the box 24 inches onto a tile floor on its side. Luckily the box was in a box which was in a box, with various backing in between each. Shipping was very good. I received this item six days after ordering; with international shipping and customs considerations, that's pretty fast.

Summary -

This grill is ideal unless you want something you aren't going to be lifting or moving. I was very impressed with the quality and material except for the flue. The cook quality seems equal to my BGE. Fix the flue and send me a nut and I will upgrade the score.

The cover is great but it took a month to receive it after a mix up with the shipper. I will say that once we contacted Shopper's Choice (Amazon) that we received prompt and professional attention specifically from Keegan.
