I recently got into BBQ smoking and realized pretty quickly that I needed a thermometer. The thermometer that came stock with my smoker turned out to be off by at least 100 degrees. An oven thermometer did the trick at first, but I found that I was opening the smoker way too often to check the temp resulting in heat loss. At the end of a smoke, I was also opening it way too often to check meat temperature. This product not only allowed me to keep track of both, but also let me keep track of it from inside the house! Since the weather is getting colder out, this is a definite plus.

The first thing I did was check the accuracy. I put both of the probes in a pan of water and brought it to a rapid boil. One probe read 212, and the other 213, one degree off. Next I put both in a large glass of water and ice. Both were showing 32 degrees between the ice and water. The tests turned out far better than I had expected.

So far I have used this for three 12-14 hour smokes, and at least 2 6 hour smokes and the batteries are still good. The probes clean easily, and I have had no significant problems.

One thing I noticed is that one of the probes sees to have a bit of melted rubber protruding between the grill temp probe and the connected wire. Since I have never had either probe about 255 degrees, I find that a bit troubling. Not sure I want to use it for a direct grilling application where the temps can go over 400 easily.

I have not had a chance to see how the outside unit handles rain.

All in all, I would not think twice of buying another one of these if I had a need.

The E-72 is a nice unit for people using a smoker, since you need to monitor the smoker temp and the meat, but this model has a few odd things you need to be aware of. It's range can be very short. It says 100feet, but that is in an open field with no obstructions. If you are going through a wall from outside to inside, expect to get about 20 feet.

Also the on/off switch for the transmitter is inside the battery case. Very odd design.

Maverick just came out with a new model (the ET-372) that corrects these problems. As of this review, it's not sold on Amazon, but keep watching it's worth getting the new one.

I've been using this produce with my Weber smoker for six months now, and it is the most important tool that I have. I've found it to be accurate within a few degrees (on the food side) of my instant read thermometers and by not having to open the lid to check temperatures I don't have to deal with the heat you lose doing that. Even though the remote unit is plastic, hanging it on the outside of the smoker works perfectly well. Setup took a bit of time the first few tries, then I found it to be straight forward. I only have two issues. First, having to open up the unit to turn it on is a minor hassle (it isn't that big of a deal, just a minor inconvenience). The other issue had nothing to do with using it with my smoker I used it in my gas barbecue and had a major flareup (wasn't paying close attention) and that shorted the food probe WHICH they mention may happen. I'm getting the high-temp food probe from them (wish it had been included in the first place). For my smoker, it worked perfectly fine. I recommend this unit to everyone.

The first time I used this dual thermometer I loved it! I smoked a pork shoulder in the green egg over night and felt safe everything was ok because I had this unit on my bedside table as I slept, and I could check the temperature of the smoker and the meat at any time. About the third time I used it the thermometer was showing an extremely high temperature and would not change. I read that this could happen so I bought a new probe and it is still broken. What seemed to be the perfect thermometer is useless. I give it one star because I've already received the new probe and that did nothing to help.

I probably should have given this 5 stars since I got it to use for spare ribs and works perfectly for that purpose.. Easy to assemble and disassemble for cleaning. Would purchase this product again in a heartbeat for that purpose. If you plan to use it for baby back ribs however, look elsewhere. The spacing between racks is too narrow if your baby backs have much meat on the bone at all. It will scrape all your rub off getting them in and out, and they will be crammed so tightly together you won't get much air flow around the meat at all, making cooking and smoking very inconsistent. The spare ribs fit perfectly and it tall enough that you can even leave the tips on the ribs if you want with no problem. Great spare rib rack.

This is the best wheel I've bought in a long time. It came quickly and it was well packaged.

It's really round and it has some neat tread on it for safely wheeling the grill around in the rain. The stencil of 'Webber' on the sidewall gives it a nice racey look, and makes me glad it has that tread on it when I go doing fast laps around the back porch.

It even came with the little friction nut to hold it on. A nice addition and a better solution than the duct tape I was going to use. (Don't ask me why they can't just use a normal 1/4" or 3/8" nut, or cotter pin on the end of the axle.)

Somehow, five stars just doesn't seem enough for a wheel this nice.

Coming soon, I'll review a screwdriver I ordered.

I am the cook in the family and like to grill chicken kabobs coated in a sweet soy sauce [Indonesian satay]. Because of the sugar in the sauce, the kabobs often get stuck to the hot grill so the meat tears when the kabobs are turned. I, like many, had just put my kabob skewers on the grill. Steak, pork, chicken, whatever. I sprayed them, turned them, then sprayed again. Nevertheless, they stuck to the grill....

My son used wooden skewers, which burnt, shriveled, hard to remove, etc.

Found this product...very good, mainly because of the metal skewers and stand, which keeps the food off the grill. Also, the skewers are not round, but retangular, which keeps food from rotating when you turn them over. The skewers have a nice round circle at the end, easy for rotating.

Also, when you bring them in, they cool quickly, so we were able to pick them up without gloves, napkins, etc. Good product, good price, go for it!

I really like making vegetable kabobs on the grill to accompany my summer meals, but I really don't like trying to pinch hold of and rotate round skewers to grill foods evenly, especially when the maneuver makes some of the more tender ones (cherry tomatoes, for example) fall right off. Although wooden skewers are relatively inexpensive, it also feels wasteful to throw away charred skewers after every use. The Weber Kabob Set made it onto my wish list pretty quickly, and made it onto my grill not long after that.

The skewers are rectangular instead of round, so any combination of foods stays on easily and can be turned readily. The big, round ends are easy to grasp with a grill mitt or tongs. The skewers are thicker than typical wooden ones, so you have to give some thought to how small you cut your vegetables, but their size and sturdiness makes them ideal for meats. The rack is handy not only for grilling (although the skewers can be laid directly on the grate, if you like), but also for holding the kabobs when they come off the grill.

I have several of the Weber grill accessories, but the kabob set is the one that stays in heaviest rotation all summer long. Well...on second thought, maybe the char baskets Weber-Stephen 7403 Char-Basket Charcoal Fuel Holders, but when it comes to the food, itself, the kabob set is definitely the front runner!

Based on the reviews I had hoped this would work well on my Weber gas grill. Unfortunately, it doesn't. Although well made, when loaded with meat and vegetables, the rack isn't wide or high enough to prevent contact with adjacent skewers or the grill surface.

Unless you load very small pieces of food the lack of clearance is a big problem. The solution of course is to jettison the rack and lay the skewers directly on the grill. Works much better but I could have accomplished this more cheaply.

Good quality, nice weight but be sure to clean the skewers thoroughly with soap and water and also a scouring pad before using. There was some grease on them perhaps from being "machined". It fits perfectly on my Weber Q100 grill.

I will admit this is a great product! it gives nice smokey flavor EVERY time I grill! But the warning is be careful which one you buy. These chunks aren't fit for my grill and required some chopping up to smaller pieces. Just a little warning. Other than the extra labor, they were a great price!

I got this stand today for my Weber Q 200.

It's not the stoutest thing you could imagine but it is most sufficient for the job required. Anything more would just get heavier.

Also, the engineering design itself is really quite convenient once you study how to best use it. While it came completely assembled it does have a learning curve.

I spent about thirty minutes trying different approaches to raising and lowering the setup until finally it became a very simple task. Those complaining about not being able to raise the stand w/o taking the grill off are wrong and need to practice a bit more until they discover the trick to it. I can set this up or break it down in about 30 seconds.

I did chose to make one change however. I think someone else mentioned doing the same.

It has a long velcro strap for holding the cart in it's folded position. I instead use the strap to tie down the grill lid to the front of the cart. This makes it one integral unit so that I can raise or lower the whole grill without it becoming detached from the cart.

When upright, make certain to "completely" lock in the wire support to the wheel axle. It not only snaps "over" the axle but also snaps on the "underside" as well.

Steps to how I raise and lower the grill while on the cart.

1. Strap the grill handle to the front of the cart with the velcro strap. IMPORTANT!

2. Release the wire shelf at the bottom from the wheel axle.

3. Lift the wire shelf with your right hand while holding the left side of the grill with your left hand.

4. Pick up on the left side of the grill to take the weight off the leftside legs and at the same time pull up on the wire shelf in your right hand. (This folds the left side legs under the grill.)

5. Put your right foot in front of one of the wheels to keep them from rolling and lean the whole setup over the right side legs while at the same time lowering the unit to the ground and off you go!

VERY SIMPLE TO DO! This is all done in one flowing motion actually and it takes about 15 seconds. But DO NOT forget step one, attaching the grill to the cart with the velcro strap.

To raise simply do the reverse. Start by leaning the grill on its left side and pulling out the wire grill (if you tucked it under). Pull the wheels out to the right. Hold the wire grill in your right hand and pick the grills left side up with your left hand. Push the wire down and the left legs over and snap the wire in the axle. EASY!

It works great like this and I am VERY glad I purchased the cart. I can't imagine being without it!

OH! And does this grill ever do a fine job cooking! It is terrific!

I am very pleased with my setup and have no doubt it will be well worth the investment. I'm sure you will be as well.

If you have invested in a Q or Baby Q grill, then there is absolutely NO point of NOT buying this cart. I have tried grilling without it (putting the Q on the floor), it was not fun. Besides, it is great to tow the Q with you if you have to walk to your grilling place. Get it, you won't be sorry that you did.

I have the Weber Baby Q and love the grill. I wanted to add the cart and was please to read that it is for the Q or the Baby Q. WRONG! This cart only works for the Q. It has two little brackets at the back corners that the legs of the Q fit into to hold it in place. Those brackets don't hold the Baby Q legs. They are too wide.

So the Baby Q just sits on top of this thing, doesn't attach like the Q. I called Weber and their Rep actually tried one they had there and she said, "You're right, it doesn't fit." She was going to submit a request to their design dept to look at this as it would be a very minor change to the mold when they make the top part of the stand.

I'm returning mine, but I still love the Baby Q.

UPDATE: Although I cannot change the rating I gave this, I must say that there is a version of this cart that DOES fit the Baby Q. Weber originally had a cart that ONLY fit the Q. That was the one I got, being told it fit both. I now have the updated version of this cart and am very happy with it.

Got this cart for my Q220. It has slots for holding both the 200-series Q grills as well as the 100-series Baby Q's. Note: If you have a Baby Q, make sure you are getting the cart with the slots for it. The earlier carts didn't because the Baby Q didn't exist.

There was no assembly required. Just unfold the cart and put the grill on it.

It is made of good materials. It is sturdy and should last for years. However, it is quite wobbly. I had to hold on to the grill while scrubbing it to stabilize it somewhat. That didn't help though because it was still shaking hard enough to knock the bowl off the foldout tray table. I think stability is only an issue when scrubbing, so make sure you clear the foldout tables before you do it.

The cart turns into a trolley mode, where you can drag the grill around like luggage. The "handle" can bang up against the regulator knob when you're dragging it. It is best to turn the grill around when in this mode so the regulator is on the other side. This is a minor design flaw, in my opinion.

Overall, I'm pleased with the portability of this cart, but I am considering getting the stationary cart for when I'm using the grill at home.

I had to replace the grids on my Huntington Grill and these were the same replacement grids that I needed. But my grill has only 4 grids and this set came with 5. 1 extra I guess. They are a heavy duty iron cast and they were coated with some kind of non stick coating but that has burned away already. The original grids did not have that coating on them. It's been 6 months now and the grids are still cooking strong 4-5 days a week. Rain sleet or snow, it's always better grilled! I don't always grill in the snow, but when I do, I do it real fast

The last time we bought replacement burner tubes for the gas grill we purchased at Home Depot, we ordered the Home Depot Ducane stainless steel burner tubes, 5 tubes for about $72. However, this set of stainless burner tubes here fits perfectly and the set is about $40 less expensive. So far so good for these less expensive ones. If they don't last as long as the ones from Home Depot I'll add a note to this review, but we're happy at the moment.

I bought four of these grids to replace 19 1/4" long grids which is one notch from the full extension of the replacement grids. I used the grids once and they bent at the point where the tab connects with the expansion notch and were sitting of the flavor bars. My advice. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT. I was relieved to get our new burner for our Weber BBQ. We have had our BBQ for about 3years and we BBQ all year around. A few months ago our burner was showing some wear and we were able to order a new buner and get it with in a week. It installed easily and we were up and running with in 20 minutes. The 20 min. I shopped for fire pits for MONTHS before deciding on this one. I wanted something deep enough to be able to add more than one skinny log to, AND have the cover fit correctly. We can easily fit several good sized logs in the pit and still use the cover. The side cutouts are great for air circulation. The grate works wonderful for everything from steaks to veggies! My boys like it for the obvious reasons: hotdogs and marshmallows. We have it on a two story wood deck. Instead of the expensive pads that they sell for under them to avoid embers from scorching or burning the deck, I went to Lowes and got 9 of the square concrete stepping stones. They made a nice 4ft x 4ft pad and only cost about $25.00. The mesh of the cover is so tiny that any embers escaping will not be large enough to even make it to the ground, let alone burn anything. Over all, we love it. Especially my husband, and he didn't want me to get one in the first place. I am going to get a cover to keep the rain and snow out. There are no drainage holes in the bottom and we would like to still use it in the winter. I would definitely buy this again.

I wanted a pit I could enjoy just like a campfire. I wanted a grill on top so I could cook me some hotdogs. And I wanted a deep pit to put some logs and just enjoy. This summer we have used this pit for just that purpose and more. My grandsons love making smores out back and sitting by the fire. I had wanted a fire pit for years before I decided to take the plunge. I looked at many, many options and narrowed it down to this style and a much larger copper bowl style. The copper bowl was initially my first choice, based on aesthetics and, I thought, the larger size being a benefit. However, it did not come with the extras like this model, and it was easily 3x the price. I ended up choosing this model and it's a perfect fit. I live in a city, and while I do have a small backyard, I have to be CAREFUL with any fire or grill. I think the smaller size is a little safer, as is the cover. It seems to be very sturdy, I really like the included poker, and it was very easy to put together. A friend and I did it in about 30 minutes, though we did learn that we needed a 5lb bag of sand to put in the bottom. So make sure you get the sand in advance!

I also love the versatility of the grilling grate. I've used this as a firepit with wood and the mesh cover, and with the grate over charcoal. Both work well and I've gotten twice the use out of it. I expected to buy a separate stand-alone grill but now no longer need to, so this item saved me more money than I expected.

I did want the star motif fire pit but it was unavailable when I ordered mine, so I went with the western because really... I only care so much about the appearance of something I'm going to light on fire. More importantly, I feel confident that it's going to contain the fire safely and last a while. I did buy aFire Pit Cover right away, and I was very glad I did because it rained about two days after I set mine up. The cover was a perfect fit, obviously waterproof, and thus far has held up well.

Would definitely buy again, has held up well to regular use and will see a lot more!

We purchased this fire pit recently and had the opportunity to use it for the first time at Easter Vigil Mass at my Church. Nearly 200 people stood around the fire as the Easter Candle was lit. The fire pit did exactly what it was supposed to do, contain a good size fire even on a windy Maine evening! On Easter Sunday we had 30 guests for dinner the fire pit made it to its new home on our deck and the warmth of the fire kept those around it comfortable. 4 ~ 15X15 brick style pavers making a 30 x 30 square protected the deck nicely.
