Good price, shipping and delivering. The only reason for 4 instead of 5 stars is that the front are of the grid is 1/3 (or very little :)) above the slot, because the width (depth?) of the grid is bigger than the slot it is supposed to fit, so now my front area of the grill has lower temperature than the back, but the difference is minimal.

This is large and I can read it from inside my house through a window while the grill sits on my back patio. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars only because I thought it was a bit pricey. It works fine though.

I ordered two because they were in stock and it is summer. The thermometers work fine both read boiling water at correct temperature they are suppose to. they fog up and are hard to read but color code helps. This company took two weeks to get them to me , now understand they are round mechanical thermometers in blister packs. I do not understand why it took so long to fill read that ship an item that was in stock. It felt like i was being punished for not paying more for shipping never again. Buy it at a local retailer.

Used it and it worked three times, and now the pilot light comes on and no power. It does not heat.Called manufacturer and they wanted to ship replacement parts. They think the electronic parts failed or maybe the burner. Though they were helpful, we needed the smoker for a family reunion the day after it quit working. Contacted Amazon and they allowed me to return the item and only pay a 20% restock fee. I guess that is reasonable, but I cannot recommend this product.

The Product itself was good. I bought it as a christmas present. Shipping was not. I placed my order on Decmember 13th (gaurenteed by dec. 24). And it said it sould ship by December 17. but once shipped it whould take 3-5 days. I got an e-mail that said it was shipped on december 14th, and they gave me a tracking number so I figured that 5 days it would arrive by friday december 21st. 5 days from monday. On Monday I tried to track it and the number they gave me didn't work, so I e-mailed the company and they e-mail me back on wednesday with the correct shipping number. I tried to track it again and it said the number was there but no information yet. I really needed the package by friday and it never came. So on the following wednesday dec 26 i got my package. Then I had to pay to ship the present to the person it was supposed to get it. When I finaly tracked the package. It looks like the setup the shipping on friday december 14th. But never actually shipped the package till tuesday december 18th. When I tried to e-mail them about it, I got a responce that they were closed till Jan 2nd. Then I never heard from them again. I would Suggest buying the product from a more reliable source. Maybe NFL.com.

I bought this grilling set for my father for his birthday/father's day present. He absolutely loves anything that is Minnesota Vikings. I was a bit worried about if the product would be high grade or flimsy. But they are really sturdy. He used them the day he got them, and they worked perfectly. The spatula is a bit smaller than I expected, however, it worked well while flipping burgers :) Definitely a great product!

This fryer is junk, to begin with it was short parts and the pans were bent because of shabby packageing and cheap box. When cooking with it you have to keep adjusting the heat as it won't hold an even tempature, one pan will get hot and the other too cold, you adjust it and it goes the other way, one reason for this is the paper thin pans that won't hold any heat. The directions for assembly are very scant. Again this fryer is junk, I will not recommend to anyone.

found one of the fryer pans dented probably due to shipping,large hole in the box. holes drilled to put upper and lower sections together were to small for bolts provided had to re-drill holes. two bolts were missing for tank guard, had to go to hardware store and purchase two new bolts and nuts. found assembly very frustrating do to lack of quality control. other than that truly like the fryer overall. a set of hooks mounted on frame for utensils would have been nice.

This is a decent product for a propane driven fryer. Obviously this type of setup requires 100% supervision to control temperature and keep the oil from burning.

The heat up and recovery time are good when using both sides and great when using just one. The fast recovery time makes a big difference in crispiness.

The baskets are designed to be able to rest on the sides of the pans, but in practice it is too cumbersome and dangerous. The thermometers that come with it are small in length and for them to touch the oil you need to have an excessive amount and risk more splash outs. I use other long thermometers but wish I had one that was just the right size.

My first unit arrived with a bad regulator that leaked and actually caught on fire. King Kooker replaced it right away, but poor quality control on a fryer is very hazardous.

I like this fryer, but if you aren't a seasoned fryer and aren't able to stay with it 100% of the time, you should move on.

This is a great product; keep the temperature somewhere around 325deg F and you can fry fish, fries just about anything perfectly. The needle valves control the flame with no problem allowing you to regulate the oil temperature pretty close. The aluminum pans allow the oil to heat fast. The baskets work great; we cooked fish and chicken (different meals) in the large basket, fries and hushpuppies in the two small baskets. Everything came out hot and at the same time making for a wonderful meal. We had several compliments about how well the cooker worked from our guests. Assembly was fairly easy requiring few tools. I bought 2 burners for my grill. They are easy to assemble, and matched the shape and attachment points of the original. So far they have worked fine. One item of note: the original had a fine screen over the air holes at the end of the tube, this does not. A spider managed to find its way in and build a nest, causing the flame to burn yellow. I thought the tube had failed, but inspection identified the cause.

First, be advised that this particular grill is the classic Model with the plastic base. It is often discounted, other places, below this price. The newest model is the Premier, with the steel mesh base.

That said, there is probably no difference in cooking between the two models.

The Cobb Grill is a wonderful invention that will automatically make you a BBQ Master. I've had mine for about 6 months now, and use it about once a week. Whole chickens, smoked, are wonderful, the best you've had. The built-in Moat keeps the chicken as moist as a 'Beer-Can Chicken' would. Just add your favorite liquid, from beer to broth, to water and a splash of Soy Sauce...it all works great. Smoked Tri-Tip is incredible, and ribs are the best I've ever eaten. I can't praise this little unit enough, and I don't even get paid for the lauding.

The Roasting Rack accessory, a small wire grill, is way overpriced, and any round little rack you can find at a thrift store will work fine. Or, you don't even need it: just turn the food once during cooking.

I made my own smoking box out of a small round tin candy can (Barns and Hayley?) by punching holes in the lid...a heavy duty aluminum foil pouch also works perfect.

The unit is big enough for a whole chicken, a pile of ribs (will do a whole rack if you chop it into 3rds and pile them up), a Tri-Tip or other roast...but will be small if you want to do 40 hamburgers for the crowd...tho you could keep cooking for a long time on those 8-12 briquets it uses....

Cheap to run, easy to use, great results every time. This little grill is one great invention.

Oh: Another well thought out feature is the carrying case...the designers actually made it big enough to comfortably carry the grill with ALL of its accessories stacked inside, AND you can pack your wood smoking chips, smoker, briquets and matches as well.

We camp and grill out often, and over the years we've used up, burnt up, and destroyed many a so called portable grill. The Cobb Grill is proving to be the best design we've tried for portability, function and just plain good looks. It fits perfectly in it's very handy carrying case. It's shape makes it easy to pack in with all our camping gear. It can cook a meal for four people on a hand full of coal in no time at all. And the darn thing looks good. Did I mention it's a breeze to keep clean with it's no stick grill and stainless steel base. No problem emptying the coals when you done either, because the outside is covered with some space age plastic. It insulates and keeps the all the heat inside the body of the grill. This thing ought to be in the modern museum of art! In this grill functionality and form come together in a brilliantly executed design. If you like to grill the Cobb is a thrill!

This is an awesome thermometer, so I gave it the 5 stars it deserves. Price vs. quality, you just can't beat it.

A warning to home brewers, though: this thermometer surpasses 500 degrees. That seems great, until you realize that this causes the numbers/lines to be smaller. For us home brewers, the 150-170 degree range is what counts most, and on this thermometer that area is about 2cm big.

Bottom line: if you're looking for a thermometer for home brewing, go for a thermometer that only goes up to 220. If you are looking for a thermometer that goes over 500 though, this is the one for you!

The thermometer I received I'm guessing was probably a defective one. It's pretty safe to assume that it was incorrectly reading that my cold tap water coming out at over 90 degrees during the winter. The temperature always read hot from about 30 60 degrees above what it should. I tested this against a smaller thermometer that I know is working, along with common sense I attempted a couple methods to recalibrate with only a minor improvement, if at all. This may typically be a great thermometer, but as I stated the one I received (and returned) did not work.

I too ordered what I thought was a meat thermometer; mine arrived with a card reading "deep fryer" thermometer. We are not sure what its intended use covers, or whether this is ideal for testing internal meat temperatures. The amazon.com description doesn't say anything about frying, so I'm a little confused.

For the most part the screw holes matched up. The plastic isn't matching up though. Also one of the doors will not latch so that's something that'll drive me crazy for the lift of the product.

A fined finished product that takes 3 hours to assemble with appropriate hand tools and a power drill. I needed a second person to help with nuts as I screwed bolts. The LP tank stablizer was a real problem as I used the power drill and stripped the threads of screws that had to be fitted with additional bolts. I love the way it cooks now that I have managed to assemble it. Takes about ten minutes to warm up to optimal grilling temperature.
