King Kooker 5911 2-3/4 Gallon Cast Iron Jambalaya Pot Review
Excellent product. This my second one. It is great for cooking large pots of gumbo. The bottom is curved so it is easy to whisk a rue and there are no corners for food to get stuck and burn. Each pot can feed approximately 40 people. I liked it so much I had to order another one for larger gatherings.

Best 8 Short Flat Stainless Steel Skewers. (L 17,7 /W 0,45 /T 0,05 Inch) Deals
Nice products, quick shipping, excellent seller!! Highly recommended.
Skewers are high quality, made to last. The quality and workmanship is excellent.
I use it for beef, pork shish kebab and veggies.
I like that food doesn't spin on the skewer as on the ones I bought at local Dominic's store.
The length is just right for my outside barbeque grill.
I bought two different lengths of skewers from this seller.
Long skewers are for meat and short ones for veggies and shrimps.

Review of Broil King 945587 Crown 90 Natural Gas Grill with Side Burner
So far I am happy with my purchase. On the down side it took 2 weeks to get here and when I started it up the gas line had been sliced in transit on the sheet metal parts. However, the good side was their warranty was prompt in replacing the line, which again took over a week. The BBQ looks good, was about $300 cheaper than what was available in my town plus it had 2 other features that the others didn't have ( rotisserie and side burner). My last BBQ was by the same manufacturer and lasted me 10 yrs. When I took that one out of use, it was still working fine, just looked very used.
After that snafu it was easy.
Cooks great and I'll get to use the Rotissarie next.
So what are the differences in cooking a roast or a steak here rather than in the kitchen?

Review of Weber 516501 Q 120 Portable 189-Square-Inch 8500-BTU Liquid-Propane
First off I have a huge Kenmore Elite (6) burner grill made by Weber. Which is a great grill. However most of the time I am grilling just for myself or up to 3 people tops. To run a grill as big as the (6) burner makes no sense. Last summer with the Big Grill I went through (6) or (7) 20lb propane tanks!
So this year I bought the Weber Q-120. What an amazing grill. It gets up to 400 deg. quick & with the cast iron grill. It makes beautiful sear marks; With 189 sq. inches there is enough room to easily cook for 6-8 people. It uses a single burner which is "conservative" when it comes to propane use. About TWO hours out of a 1 pound tank. If you buy the Weber hose adapter you can hook it up to a 20lb tank & grill al summer off ONE tank!
It puts together easy about 15 minutes. And has many wonderful accessories. i.e.: portable cart (well worth looking into)
Pros: * Sears meat as good if not better than a big grill.
* Very Well Made
* Electronic Ignition (immediate fame FIRST push)
* Cast iron cooking gril
* Cast aluminum body (won't rust)
* Very Portable
* Conservative when it comes to propane use.
Cons: Only 1 minor one. I wish the side tables were metal, so you could fold them away before the grill completely cools. (very minor issue) They probably did not due that due to cost & weight.
They make (6) models 100, 120, 200, 220, 300 & 320 The 100 series is the most compact, 200 series is mid size but still quite portable & the 300 series is plenty big enough for serious entertaining. By adding the "20" at the end of each series you get the fold up & in side tables (which are awesome), A temp. gage & Electronic Ignition!!!! (really awesome)
I highly recommend any of the Weber Q Grills
Then I ran across a store that had most of the others on display Fry's in Portland. After about 5 minutes of looking at all the different models I'd researched on websites such as Amazon I knew they were all cheap, thin gas burners and would be adequate but not great. I went to Lowes and looked at the Q100. I knew after looking it over that this is the RIGHT grill.
DO NOT buy the Weber Q 100 !! It's really worth the little bit extra money to get the Q 120. You get the fold out side shelves, an electronic ignition and the temp gauge. Any one of those items are not worth it but all together it really makes it the right one to get.
Amazon offers a bundle with the Weber 6507 cart DON'T GET IT! The Weber 6549 is only a few bucks more but is a newer design. You don't save much money by getting the bundle. I also ordered the vinyl 6550 cover and 6401 mitt.
The Q 200/220 are significantly larger. The Q 100 is good for 4-5 people which is perfect for me but if you want to be able to cook for more then get the 200 or maybe even the 300 size. But for me it was important to be able to carry in my RV. The 100/120 size fits in the storage compartments of my Jayco with ease. The 200 size might also fit in there but it would be bulky and cumbersome. Bottom line they are significantly different in size. If you are not sure which one you want find them in a local store so you can see the size yourself.
Cooking steaks and burgers on this grill is great. Nice sear marks and great tasting. Night and day difference from the $20 black square tin can style portable grill it replaced.
Amazon pricing on the grill, cart and accessories was great combined with the great shipping due to the Prime account I signed up for.
Conclusion: If you want hot temps for searing I recommend this grill. It's sturdy and well built and if it's like my other Webers it will last you a long time. However, if you need low temperatures for slow cooking, keep looking. I wish Weber would develop a table to bbq that has more variable temps.
Before purchasing this grill, I already owned a Weber Spirit E-310. The E-310 is the best grill I've seen and has made me a "Weber Guy" through and through. Its flavorizer bars create a sizzling sound that is downright therapeutic and, by the way, also actually enhance the flavor of the meat. The grill-marks created by its cast iron grate create perfect grill marks. However, this grill is big, bulky, and by no means portable.
I bought the Q-120 to fill this void, primarily for tailgate parties. I know that comparing this portable grill to the full-size E-310 is apples to oranges, so please don't treat these as "negatives", but instead, more as "trade-offs" for the portability:
1) The Q-120 has no flavorizer bars The description hints at having a "flavorizer system", but I don't see it. The grill is mostly silent during operation (no sizzle unless meat is being added/flipped). The flavor of the meat doesn't show the evidence of the flavorizer treatment either.
2) Indirect cooking is not possible on the Q-120 I like to cook hot dogs on indirect heat to prevent over-charring. Needless to say, you will need to get creative with the meat layouts in order to simulate indirect heat. I have also heard of some people using aluminum foil to create this effect.
3) The Q-120 generates a lot of smoke. There are two large openings on the sides; it looks like the openings were sized for the tables that flip-in, not sized for the required air-flow. Because the openings are so big, it leaves more space for air to exit, which results in longer pre-heat and more smoke being exhausted.
That being said, the Q-120 cooks the food very well. It preheats quickly enough and does cook the food evenly without flare-ups. The porcelain enameled cast-iron grate creates great grill-marks and is easily cleaned. All of the materials used on the grill are high quality and it's obvious that they will remain in working order for a long time. The only real negative I have about the Q-120 is that the drip-pan isn't secured to the grill. It slides in place without effort, but unfortunately it slides out just as easily; which creates an unneeded hassle when traveling with it.
As far as the Q-100 vs. Q-120 debate goes, there is no doubt that the Q-120 is worth the extra money. The Q-120 has three differences to discern it from the Q-100:
1) Thermometer Cooking without a thermometer makes no sense to me. There are some ways of estimating the grill's heat without a thermometer, but unless you're a pro, you're mostly flying blind. Sure, you can use a meat thermometer, but that's just another thing to take with you during the trip.
2) Electric ignition Way more reliable than what is found on the Q-100.
3) Flip-out side tables When I bought the grill, this wasn't a big selling point. However, in practice, I was surprise to find how much I actually needed them. If you are buying a Q-1X0 for its versatility, these are a must-have.

In typical character for me I over-analyzed this purchase. I carefully looked at various models and got to know the different manufactures. I was really convinced I wanted one of the snazzy stainless ones like the Cuisinart CGG-200. Then I got interested in the extendable legs of the Cuisinart Petite 180. There were other brands I was looking at, some look even snazzier than the Cuisinart. I didn't particularly care for the pac-man look of the Q series. Then I ran across a store that had most of the others on display Fry's in Portland. After significant research I bought this one based on Weber's rep and my experience with their products. Took about 10 minutes for assembly, very simple. I connected to a gas supply and cranked it up. Lo and behold, it got amazingly hot on the low setting, (450). Perplexed I called Weber and I was sad to learn that while this grill get really hot for searing and fast cooking, (a good thing) it is incapable of temps below 425 degrees, even on the low setting. The very nice Weber customer support folks ultimately told me that this grill isn't really designed for slow cooking or even roasting. I wish that would have been stated in the marketing info. Sadly, as much as I wanted this grill to work for me, I do most of my gas cooking at low temps. I am a huge Weber fan, owning 4 others, but this one doesn't fit the bill. Conclusion: If you want hot temps for searing I recommend this grill. It's sturdy and well built and if it's like my other Webers it will last you a long time. However, if you need low temperatures for slow cooking, keep looking. Designing a good gas grill is tough; there are enough bad full-size gas grills out there to prove this point. However, to get good results with a travel-size version is even tougher. That being said, the best bet is to go with anything made by Weber, as their reputation for innovative design and quality materials are exactly what is needed to succeed in this arena. Before purchasing this grill, I already owned a Weber Spirit E-310. If it were possible to fall in love with a grill then I am in love. The Weber Q120 Portable Gas Grill exceeds all of my expectations and the Weber Rolling Cart that I ordered to go with it is the perfect companion for it. I have owned many grills in my life since I am 67 years old but this grill is by far the best one I have ever had. I did quite a bit of research on Amazon and other sites before making the decision to buy this one. I had decided that I didn't want a large grill with multiple burners this time and didn't want to have to deal with the big propane tanks since I would only be grilling for 1 to 4 people at a time. I would be storing it in the garage and wanted to be able to easily wheel it out when using it and then wheel it back inside when finished. The grill did require some assembly that took maybe 20 minutes to complete but the Rolling Cart came totally assembled and only required unfolding. I was impressed from the beginning with the heft and quality of the materials used to construct this grill and how well it fit together. I ordered the Q120 model because it has two fold out shelves, a thermometer and an electric starter that the Q100 doesn't have. The little extra cost for the Q120 is worth it. The Q 100 and Q120 will both fit securely on the Weber Rolling Cart so you don't have to mess with having to rig up a table to set the grill and your supplies on. The small canister tanks are very convenient to deal with and the electric starter on the Q120 lights up the grill on the first touch every time. The cooking grate is very heavy, makes great grill marks and cleans easily with a wire brush. I have had this grill for about two weeks now, have used it six times and everything has turned out perfectly with it. The rolling cart also folds down to make this whole outfit portable for tail gating and camping. I highly recommend the Weber Q120 Gas Grill Weber 516501 Q 120 Gas Grill and Rolling Cart. Buy 12411 3-pack Stainless Steel Straight Pipe Burner for Lowes BBQ
The burners are just fine and the delivery was fine, but they are UNUSABLE becase the igniter mounts are on backwards. They cannto be used on my grill at all BBQ Grillware GGPL-2100...even though they are advertised to do so.
The Charmglow replacement pipes were $32 per pipe! The specs on these were pretty much the same. So for $13 for 3 pipes, I went for it. GLAD I DID!!
They slid on the fuel jets perfectly and I had a steak on the grill 30 secs later! I'm going to order another pack, just for backups in a year or 2 or 3...
My thinking? I'll have 6 new pipes for less than the price of 1 pipe from Charmglow. $26 vs. $192. No brainer for me!

Well fitting, sturdy material. I like that it does not go to the ground-makes for easier wheeling and I suppose better airflow underneath to prevent corrosion. This thing like most Weber covers will tend to last longer than the its grill counterpart. This cover provides ample protection against the elements if you remember to use it(I've always been afraid the grill is too hot, then I fall asleep on the couch, then the rain comes, then I've gotta wait for the cover to dry out to throw it on top). It allows for the tool holder to fit easily under it. Overall, some covers are a pain in the butt to get on, this one is not, I kind of flip it up and get it to parachute and pull it down over it, easy peasy lemon squeezy.Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for Weber 7452 Premium Kettle Cover, Fits 18-1/2-Inch Charcoal Grills
The Weber cover was free of defects: no holes, rips or tears. The first few time putting the cover on were sort of difficult due to the newness of the item. The elastic band at the bottom needs break in time to easily get the cover on and off the grill. Keep in mind it ought to be tight to prevent the wind from getting up under it and blowing it off the grill.Wednesday, November 19, 2014

I purchased this unit for homebrewing. For the first 30 minutes, this thing rocked. I turned it off to add some ingredients, and now it putters out a flame. If I turn on both burners, it pretty much stops working because the flames go out. I have been working for 55 minutes to bring 5 gallons of liquid to a boil. I am at 190F. I will up the stars if Bayou Classic is able to correct the problem, but for now I am less than impressed.
--UPDATE: 5/5 ---
I called Bayou Classic to receive a new regulator. The person on the phone was very friendly and said one would ship right away. It has been more than two weeks and I am still waiting. I called the 800 number and was sent to a voice message instructing me to call another number. I have had this product almost 30 days without a sucessful use. I might just ship it back.
--UPDATE: 5/22 ---
I finally spoke to someone at Bayou Classic two weeks ago. I was told the regulators had just come in and one would ship the next day. I am still waiting for my part. I have been trying to reach Bayou Classic via phone all morning, and I only get a busy signal. I would not recommend buying the company's product. The people seemed friendly, but the company has failed to deliver a replacement part within 6 weeks.
Amazon customer service was nice enough to send me a replacement burner. As always, I think Amazon customer service is great, but I am still not impressed with Bayou Classic. I would not buy its products again.
--UPDATE: 5/29 ---
This really needs to be a 1 star review. I received my replacement unit and tested it. The gas line had a leak in it. So you are not surprised, it says Made in China. The regulators Bayou Classic received from the manufacturer are bad. If you've read this far, I should note that I still have yet to receive my replacement gas regulator from the company after 6 weeks. Amazon is refunding me because this product is junk. Do not buy Bayou Classic!
--Update: 6/8 --
In doing my best to be fair, I received the replacement regulator today. It's too bad I shipped the product back for a refund 10 days ago. I wish Bayou International would have just said there was a backlog on this item the times I called. Although, nearly 8 weeks is a pretty long time to wait for a replacement part.
After using for a while I will add that we have had no problems..although I have never felt that the legs were sturdy enough nor long enough; we have had no problems. Just a warning...be very careful ...especially is there are children around. This is no toy. This grill gets really hot and I do worry about the stability of those legs.
it is good for stir-fry outside your house and boil soup.
It might not be a good idea for who do not know how to adjust gas frame.
too strong gas frame will burn your cooking.
it is good for me with decent price (stove + gas line.)

This is a great cooker. My husband wanted one that had two burners and no wind guards. Saw this and the price was great. We cooked a boiler of shrimp on one side and a boiler of potatoes and corn on the other. Worked wonderful. It was sturdy and just what he wanted. I would highly recommend this cooker. I don't think you will be disappointed in it.Best Deals for Bayou Classic Dual Burner Outdoor Patio Stove
First of all I'll throw in a plug for Amazon....we have purchased from them several times in recent years and have always been happy. We received our table in super fast time. It works great with my new cast iron reversible griddle #7428 28". My only regret is that I didn't know about the 3 eyed unit at the time I purchased it. Although it is still great I wish the legs were more sturdy and about a foot longer. I am a short 5'3 and we still had to build a rise to set in on. The legs seem a little flimzy but still work well as long as you are careful. I had to contact theBayou company as one of the controls didn't work but they were great and the piece arrived UPS fast in about two days. I would buy this all over again. After using for a while I will add that we have had no problems..although I have never felt that the legs were sturdy enough nor long enough; we have had no problems. Just a warning...be very careful ...especially is there are children around. This is no toy. This grill gets really hot and I do worry about the stability of those legs.

price is not bad when compare with other bands and other online website.it is good for stir-fry outside your house and boil soup.
It might not be a good idea for who do not know how to adjust gas frame.
too strong gas frame will burn your cooking.
it is good for me with decent price (stove + gas line.)

Not bad for the price. I bought mine directly from somewhere else back then. It's really meant to be outdoors. I had mine for more than five years. The only maintenance you need to do is cover the regulator assembly to prevent rain water to get in and try not to get the burner wet with oil bec. it's going to be rusty.Friday, November 7, 2014

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program These tools are the perfect size, well made and sturdy.
Handles just long enough to get the job done without burning yourself.
I don't think I would put them in the dishwasher though, unless I had left them out and forgotten about 'em and they were really filthy.
The fork could be a tiny bit smaller, but overall this is a great set!
UPDATE: After using them for a couple months, the turnover broke right through the handle, just 'cause it got stuck in the grid. It didn't take any force at all to split the wood. And NO I didn't wash them in the dishwasher.
The basting brush works great. The fork as well. I use a very hot grill and the brazing brush holds up nicely. The fork is strong and does not bend easily like so many others I have used.
The wood handles are appealing, but I honestly don't care that much about the look of the handles. If you are looking for decoration, they are nice.
The problem with the set is the spatula. It is too small for the job, especially if you are doing anything bigger than a burger. It is hopeless for fish and larger items you would use it for. I have a very large spatula I use and it is awesome. This one, therefore, is relegated to the utensil bin.
I like the look of the set, I like the build and quality, but the spatula is worthless.
They are made strong and sturdy not like some of these flimsy other versions. And the beautiful yet practical wooden handles are the perfect finishing touch. I know that we're only talking about bar-b-queing, but with these pieces you feel as though you're preparing something extra special on the grill and not just basic hamburgers.
If you're going to be doing the cooking anyway, why not own something that is not only a quality made product of exceptional standard but also something to make your neighbors a liitle jealous?

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program This product features three handsome pieces of brushed stainless steel utensils with sealed oak handles. The burger flipper (spatula) is very useful-although it could be just maybe a bit longer. The fork is made for flipping a side of brontosaurus --It's hugejust too big. It is too large to be useful for most backyard cookouts with kids (hot dogs). The brush is my favorite piece. I've used silicone style brushes before and fell in love with them the first time because of their durability and utility in spreading marinade or basting meat. However, this brush has an angled head, which requires a bit of getting use to to position it correctly. Like other reviewers I hesitate to run these through the dishwasher because of the wood. If anyone has done so with success, please let me know as it would be good to run them through from time to time.Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for Tom Douglas by Pinzon 3-Piece Stainless-Steel Barbecue Tool Set
Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program A big test of how good bbq equipment is, is how well it holds up. Unfortunately its a little early to tell for this set. This is a nice looking, basic bbq set thats worked pretty well for me for the few times I've used it. You get just what the picture indicates, and no storage box of any type. My only complaint is that I like my spatula's to have slits in it which this one doesnt. Thats a personal preference, and really speaks more to my love of all things undercooked than it does to a design flaw. I would also have liked the spatula to be a bit larger, but these are rather minor things. The fork and basting brush work exactly like they should. (Although I'm not a huge fan of silicone basting brushes, they are just weird to me, but this one works very well and is a sooo easy to clean.) Like everything in the Pinzon line, these are great for someone who wantes to get started with pretty good stuff on the cheap.Tuesday, November 4, 2014
Party King Swing'N Smoke Grill Package-Box of 5 Reviews
I will start off saying this. I have a mild OCD case, and want everything a certain way I looked for months for the right BBQ. I needed a BBQ that would mount on the back of the trailer because I don't want grease or BBQ smell in our Denali. I also did not want that me smell or grease in our new trailer. It is a 23 foot IGO that we love but lacks space here and there.
This BBQ is ridiculous. It does it all, looks really nice. Everywhere we go we get comments on it and ask for the site where to buy them. I know of three people that have since bought them, I should get commission. Love it. I do believe that if it is that good, you may have to pay. I did not mind at all paying the cost. So easy to set up. Love it so much.

Cheap Forked Brazilian (Churrasco) Super Skewer (Wood Handle) - 2pack
Grill Time not only provided me with fantastic skewers, but saved my party... I just built a clay grill pit in my backyard, and I needed skewers within 3 days. I contacted Grill Time and they delivered my skewers within 2 days. Upon arrival I tore open the box and was extremely pleased with the look and feel of my large blade and forked skewers. They are durable, with a good weight. The six inch handles fit your palm perfectly. Once I put them on my skewer frame, the wood did not get hot. My large cuts of Churrasco meat turned perfectly on the large blade skewers, and the forked skewers held shrimp and chicken hearts beautifully.
I recommend these skewers and Grill Time with the highest possible marks.. Also, I just asked them if they make custom skewers and they do! Perfect.

This is a great cover. I used to have a full length cover on my last grill, and it was a pain to take on and off, so most of the time is stayed off. I use my grill several times a week, so ease of use is a big factor for me. I was concerned that it might blow off in a windstorms, but I haven't had a problem with that.

I have had a Weber Genesis Silver B grill for several years. The Weber cover I bought when I bought the grill was good, but eventually it shrunk and would not fit over the entire grill. The new cover has been greatly improved, with expansion straps. It fits the grill very well, and is easier to remove than the older model. It is also very durable and looks as if it will last for many years, as the previous cover did. I would highly recommend this cover for anyone who has a Weber grill.Best Deals for Weber 9856 Standard Gas Grill Cover Fits Genesis Silver B, Genesis

I am an experienced BBQ'er from Kansas City, with my own smoker. I bought the Orion for our vacation house. In my opinion, the Orion makes BBQ 90% as good as the very best, and it's MUCH easier and faster. We have made brisket, spare and back ribs, turkey, and goat, all with great results. You don't get quite the "smoke ring" of the best conventional bbq, but you get more moisture. A lot of my guests liked "Orion bbq" better. And it doesn't smoke up the neighborhood.
Key points:
1-Follow the instructions exactly, at least to begin with
2-Smoke flavor comes from the wood you put inside; the side of the wood against the outer edge will char.
3-The container is sealed, so the charcoal on the outside is irrelevant to the flavor of what's happening inside. If you use insta-light charcoal for maximum convenience/laziness, the flavor inside will NOT be affected.
4-I don't think you'll ever need extra liquid in the bottom
I got mine at Bass pro shop, and we have had 4 of our friends buy one after tasting food from ours. The stainless discolors with use, but doesn't rust and it doesn't affect the unit's cooking or smoking abilities. Well worth the money.
It was easy to assemble, thankfully normally, my assembly processes are fueled by profanity, bruised appendages, and eventually, whiskey. I had this up and running in about 15 minutes, though.
My first attempt was to really put it through it's paces, with one of the mroe difficult cuts of meat to get right a beef brisket. Worse, it was a cheap beef brisket bought from a grocery, trimmed of fat, a little on the small side, and generally not the kind I normally get before I BBQ things.
I gave it a quick rub, put it on the grate, put the top on, and proceeded to light the charcoal. I adjusted the cooking time by proportionality the instruction booklet lists 5lb and 12lb briskets, I only had a 3lb sat back, and waited.
A little over an hour later, it was done.
At first, I was concerned that it lacked the smokiness I had come to love about a good BBQ brisket. I had loaded the thing with hickory chips after all. I realized that the main difference was that with my normal smoker, enough smoke leaks out that the whole neighborhood can smell smouldering wood, whereas with this thing, it's pretty sealed up. Once I got up close and personal with the meat, it did have a fair amount of smoke flavor and aroma, although not as much as when I actually use my smoker (although I didn't smoke my clothes, hair, and nostrils in the process).
The meat was tender. Not quite the falling-apart, oh-my-god tender a good 12 hours in a low smoker can get you, but it was good enough for some brisket sandwiches and I simply can't argue with the fact that it was done in an hour. Didn't quite get the nice crust on the outside that a dry smoke will give either, but even with my smoker I've never quite gotten that right.
I figured that giving it a small, overly lean, underseasoned brisket would be a pretty rough test on the new cooker a good rub hides a multitude of sins, and a good fatty brisket isn't as apt to dry out and the Orion performed admirably. As mentioned, it wasn't the best brisket I'd ever had, but for an hour of my evening and no constant checking and flipping, I'm well-impressed.
On the downside, it pretty much requires an entire bag of charcoal per run, which can add up after a while. I don't intend to use this for day-to-day grilling, though, so this won't be as much of a problem.
I'm excited to try it out on poultry, which should be an easier task.
i have used mine about forty times now, have never had a bad meal yet.
here are a few tips on operation of the smoker.
-use kingsford charcoal if smoking more than an hour and ten minutes. the generic brands do not burn near as long.
-you will want to find a wind protected area to use the smoker. gusting winds will not distribute the heat evenly.
-try using apple, cherry, or another light smoking wood (can be found at lowes), hickory and mesquite can have a very smoky effect in this unit. i usually use a blend of hickory and apple or cherry.
-when doing ribs, i will throw a chicken or two on after the ribs are done, still plenty of coal life to cook them.
-put foil on the bottom side of the turkey or chicken when using the poultry stand to minimize over cooking of the skin.
-water is not needed in the drip pan for most meats. when you pull the lid off one to four hours later, you will get a blast of steam that is the juices of the meat!
-do not peak, leave the lid on the entire time.
please comply with your local outdoor burning regulations, the coals will stay hot for ten to twelve hours, not hot enough to cook with but enough to potentially start a fire.
I'm surprised no one commented on the amount of charcoal needed...15 lbs!?!?! I actually use a whole 13.5 lb bag, but even that in my area runs around $10 for the matchlight stuff. So that's $10 alone in just "fuel" every time you want to use it.
Overall, the cooker is very well made, does a great job with meats (just not ribs!), but is not perfect.

This thing ROCKS!! We've used it for a 21 lb turkey, tri tip roasts, ribs, Pork roast, Bratwurst, even our 1&1/2 inch thick pork chops! No need to turn/baste the food, Put your meat on any/all of the 3 grates inside, fill the ring and the top hopper using 1 bag of ready-light type charcoal, light it and walk away (for the recommended times in the included cookbook). This makes an awesome smoker by adding a handfull of hickory or mesquite chips to the area around the drip pan. Since the fire itself never touches the wood chips, they burn nicely making the perfect amount of smoke inside the cooker. Our 21 lb turkey was done in 2 hours and 5 minutes, was moist and had a great mesquite smoke flavor to it.I got mine at Bass pro shop, and we have had 4 of our friends buy one after tasting food from ours. works as advertised, only con is using a large bag of charcoal. i have had many store bought smokers over the years, they have all rusted away from sitting outside, a year later the stainless steel orion smoker is still looking good. if your looking to smoke a decent size batch and have near perfect results every time you can not go wrong with this smoker. holds a 20 lb turkey very well, and six racks of ribs fit with room to spare. search google for the owners manual to check out the recipes and cook times.i have used mine about forty times now, have never had a bad meal yet.

This cooker does a great job with most meats, although I would not use it to cook ribs. The people who are saying it does a great job with ribs obviously have never had ribs the way they were meant to be! Case in point, you cook the ribs by hanging them on these metal hangers...ribs that are cooked correctly (SLOWLY) would never actually stay secure on those hangers, they would eventually fall apart and fall off the hangers. In addition to the ribs, I've done chicken wings, whole chickens, a turkey and a pork loin, and they all came out fantastic.I'm surprised no one commented on the amount of charcoal needed...15 lbs!?!?!
