The last review I saw said there were no instructions to put the bench together. First of all, there are instructions on the box! (You have to be smarter than the bench.) Second, there are 5 or 6 giant pieces that just snap together. There's no hardware, no tools necessary. My 9 year old helped me put it together.
As for how well it works, I haven't had any trouble with water getting in, so maybe the person who couldn't figure out how to put it together put it together wrong. It has plenty of storage space for my charcoal and other grilling supplies as well as a few other patio items I wanted to store.
My only disappointment is that the storage space wasn't large enough for my swing cushions, but that is fine. I mostly wanted it for my grilling supplies anyways.
It seats at least two people comfortably and seems pretty stable. Also it looks nice on the patio unlike just getting a large storage box.

I bought one of these benchs 7 years ago when living in Fort Wayne,IN., used it on front patio of my home for packages to be left in and stored garden tools and other things in it. It was exposed to all the weather elements, never had rain or melting snow get inside of it. The construction of the bench is of high quiality. I now live in Georgia with some temperatures hitting 120 F. in the summer, and the bench stills look new even being exposed to sunlight it has not faded. I have a coushin for it and two people can sit on the bench easily. I have just purchased another another and love it. This is a bench that will last for a long time. I have friends and family who have purchased them and they love them. They are easy to put together and the fact that they snap together and stay together is because of the quality of the product. I have bought others and they are so thin, putting them together ruined the plastic walls and they fell apart with people sitting on them. So it you are looking for something that will last, stay together, support two grown adults, this is the bench for you, don't forget the storage inside is of good size. It you are looking for this bench or storage boxes to hold what you should have a shed for, than build or buy a shed...

We have had these benches for more than 8 years. Originally in one color, tan. We have been looking and waiting for them to be reintroduced in the market. After all these years and in the HOT Las Vegas sun they still look new. They wash up and clean up great, assembly was easy. We store grandsons pool toys and equipment in one and grille equipment in the other. Even after washing them off with the hose the equipment inside is dry. The price is just a little high, more like the 120 dollar range would be best.
Enjoy these benches as much as we have. We will probably add another one or two to our patio.

I ordered this for my back patio to replace an old wooden bench that was literally on it's last leg. I would highly recommend this storage bench. Despite being "plastic" (it's a composite resin) it is VERY sturdy. I weigh 380 pounds and it easily holds me. In fact I would absolutely have no worries about standing up on the seat of this and jumping up and down, even at my weight!
The assembly is very simple, instructions are right on the outside of the box. No tools are required, it just snaps and slides together.
