When i first opened this on Christmas day i was stunned. It was vibrant and all around awesome looking. i went and put it on my grill right away. however it was blown of that night from wind (a problem i have never had with any other cover) when i put it back on i did notice a drawstring on the back. well the way i have my grill on the deck against the rail its kind of a pain to do. anyway i drew it tight and went about my business. well i went and cooked on it a couple weeks later and for the most part the cover stayed well. howeve the material was already starting to tear from wind i suppose. checked it out and the tears were not near what i would consider a sharp edge. basically it lasted 2 months. my old cover which luckily i save has lasted 4 years. sure the outer skin is cracked and tore a bit. but the inside liner is still intact and keeping my 2nd grill to use with it safe from the weather!!!!

My husband has a pretty large gas grill though. I'd say it would have needed to be 5 or so inches longer. Overall we are happy with it though.

At first I loved this cover, the design and looks were great. However, a cover is meant to be outdoors and I haven't had it for more than 4 months and it is already showing signs or wear. I did not expect it to be this bad quality. Very sad and disappointed.

This is heavier fabric than the lower cost Koveroos III fabric, which is essentially Tyvek or something very much like it with some coloring. Whereas the Koveroos III is an unwoven material, the Weathermax is woven. It appears to be just like a thin woven nylon except it feels stiffer and is coated to impede water penetration. It is more resistant than Koveroos III to tears but you still want to be careful around the sharper edges and corners of barbecue.

I've used canvas covers and they breaks down from the UV in sunlight in a year or two. Nylon covers last a year, usually, as the UV in sunlight dries the plastic and makes it stiff and brittle -jsut imagine what UV does to your skin!

I've had Koveroos III covers last about 4 years or so before I finally accidentally tear it on a sharp corner -Otherwise it would hold up for many years of sunlight. I expect weathermax to last longer because it should be more difficult to tear.

You can wash Weathermax in a front loader but don't put it in the dryer -it will ruin the coating.

Neither of these are truly waterproof but they tend to resist letting liquid water through. So, moisture gets through when it's raining water drops are shed and the cover can also dry out after a rain and that's key to avoiding rust,mold, and mildew.

The price on Amazon when I bought was a good discount from retail.

Also, Koveroos III and Weathermax protects from bird droppings for birds that like to alight on the barbecue itself.

I have had this grill for 2 years. It has outperformed my Weber Summit and my neighbors Green Egg every time when it comes to smoking baking roasting. It is built like a tank (I got this thick stainless model). It is completely stainless so there is nothing to rust (even the dual fan blades are stainless). It holds its temperature very accurately whether the temp outside is 30 or 95. Excellent smoker at temps 180-225. Excellent Oven 250-375. Excellent Indirect Grill up to 550 degrees!. Easy to maintain/clean just take a putty knife and scrape all the grease drippings on the flat drip plate into the 2 standard foil tray pans below easy!. The probe can be set to whatever internal temp you want the meat and when It reaches the set temp the grill throttles down to 180 and holds the temp. It is insulated with a oven door like gasket which really helps control the temp. It also has a huge dual hopper in the back for pellets so you can mix pellets if you want. The hopper is big enough to easily smoke (180-225 degrees) with outside temp >60 for over 24 hours without refueling pellets. I forgot to mention that it it is essentially idiot proof to start. Press the on button and set the temp...Done! Heats up to 250 within 3-4 minutes no matches no lighter fluid no charcoal starter. It will heat up to 550 degrees within 10 minutes. It is literally as fast as my propane Weber Summit.

This is the ultimate grill/smoker hands down.

I have read that many barbecue competitions have banned these grills because they make beat traditional grills smokers hands down. They are just too predictable in their in measuring temps and holding temps constant.

My only disappointment is that I can't go over the friends houses and enjoy the same level of grilling perfection without my Memphis Grill!!

Works like a charm. I was going for something small and compact to take to the beach or to just relax at a state park for the day. It is perfect for what I bought it for. It is not for someone looking to conserve space or stay light weight via hiking or one backpack a person hike to camp kind of deal. Broil-Mate 155364 Gas Grill is a throwback to the first gas grills which began appearing in the early 1960s and are still made by American companies like Modern Home Products and PGS. Back then, cast aluminum housings were the norm instead of stainless or coated steel. The aluminum cookbox retains heat and distributes it evenly. Although the casting on this model is much thinner than the heavy duty MHP and PGS, the price is also dramatically less.

Furthermore, it has an old style, 40,000 BTU stainless steel "H" Burner: a single burner that is effectively two U-shaped burners fused together with separate controls. This should work great for 2-zone setups because, unlike straight tube burners, the U-shaped burner almost wraps around each half of the firebox bottom and 20,000 BTU per side is high output for a single heat source. A 10,000 BTU side burner is included.

Cooking grates are porcelain coated cast iron and heat tents are stainless steel. With 400 square inches of primary cooking surface, this is a good size grill for a low price. The cart is lightweight with no enclosure. It has side shelves with built-in tool hooks and only two 7" wheels.

Regarding appearance, don't judge a grill by its cover. Many shiny inexpensive gassers are inferior machines dolled up with thin flimsy low grade stainless steel. They often carry only a one year warranty, but for a few hundred bucks more you can play the extended warranty game. This unassuming cooker is a good, solid grill with an excellent warranty, especially considering the price: Limited lifetime on the aluminum body, 5 years on the Dual "H" burner and 2 years on everything else.

I picked up this grate without the extra inserts that go with it. It works great for a center zone fire and center searing and still has the two side hinges for two zone. The grate is pretty solid, not thin like the standard grates. This also works perfectly with my 18" Weber stainless steel Wok. Highly recommend it, I'm getting two more for my other kettles.

I bought two of these especially for a 4th of July breakfast for which I had been asked to cook. I seasoned it ahead of time according to the instructions, and was amazed at the teflon-like coating that was formed in the process. I cooked bacon for an hour straight. The drain hole at the end of the griddle allowed the grease to drain down the inside edge of my gas grill and into the grease reservoir. If you're cooking lots of bacon, though, just don't forget to empty the grease pan from time to time!

Fit one side of my 27" Lynx grill perfectly. Turned grill to medium to season until I got a dark coating, pancakes were great. Need to remember to always wipe down lightly with oil before use (to make non-stick), and after use.

This grill is a great value for the price. It was difficult to put together...but my fiance and I did it in about an hour with minimal tools. The thing that scared us was how "simply" the gas connectors go together....when you're dealing with sealed connections and combustible gasses, I get nervous. However, all the pieces came together and work properly.

This grill is definitely not the best constructed, but will get the job done for a few seasons (3-4 is my guess), with proper cleaning and maintenance on a regularly used grill.

I am a veteran of having owned 4 different grills, always these smaller, lower end grills, and I have put together many different items for household use IE kid's bikes, cabinets that needs some nuts and bolts for assembly, etc. Here's all I gots to say-if you had difficulty putting this together, you probably dont' do too many diy projects, this was the best organized diy project I ever had, or durned close. The nuts, bolts, washers, pins, etc rather than being mixed together in one big baggie, are all in separate compartments and so are therefore impossible to mix up. THe instructions are clear and concise, in fact, my 18 year old son put together 3/4 of this grill, when I got home from work I helped out with the last bit. I had warned him, based on reviews either on this site or other reviews of this grill elsewhere, that the instructions might be difficult and hard to understand. EVEN MY SON, who is intelligent but nowhere near as experienced as I am, told me 'dad, this thing is extremely well organized, I don't know what you were talking about'!!

So anyway, just read the instructions, that's what they are for. There may be one or 2 misprints but that is par for the course with home assembly items. I hazard a guess that the people who had trouble putting this together haven't put together many items. If you don't know which way you have to turn a screwdriver to tighten (righty tighty, lefty loosey), maybe you shouldn't attempt this, but for normal people, it's well organized. AND it grills evenly, also. My igniters even work, so far I love it. Yes it's a lower end grill, what the heck do you expect for close to $100??

I could not figure out why this grill was so flimsy feeling while assembling, until I got it complete and ran out of parts. I found a broken weld. All welds are just poorly made tack welds, along with three different size threaded screws, which are very close to the same size and pitch. Some are standard, some are metric. Be very careful selecting and starting each screw and have extra on hand to replace poorly made threads. Some Wing Bolts broke and needed to be replaced with a real screw. Yes I just used my fingers. Not worth the hassle of returning at this point, I will brace the intersections at ALL BAD, and broken welds. Seems to ignite and heat well. Picture at link below.

Getting the chicken onto the can holder is a little difficult. But once she's on, BBQing the bird couldn't be easier. You don't have to worry about your Beer Can Chicken toppling over on the grill or on it's way from the grill to the kitchen.

I appreciate that this product folds up, since we don't have much storage space to warrant more fancy kitchen gadgets. It is simple and sturdy--seems well made. This was definitely worth the price for the convenience it offers, and small amount of space it takes up when not in use.

I have used with both beer and soda cans. It looks like the it is designed to hold the can in placed securely, but I found it a little loose and I have to hold the 2 upright arms on the can with one hand while I place the chicken in place. I also found it a little tricky to remove while the chicken is hot. Spaying with a cooking spray helps. Having a 2nd set of hands to assist makes it much easier. Have someone hold the base of the folding chicken roaster while you lift the chicken off.

This a good, sturdy set of tongs, good length and comfortable to hold. If I could change them, though, I would do something about the tips. In my opinion, they are bent inwards too much--you end picking things up w/ just the tips rather than the whole grabber, which can lead to torn meat. Weber should know better! Also, I think I prefer the sliding tong lock to this pull mechanism. Works fine now, but I worry that down the road it will get loose and start locking while I am using them; that would be very frustrating. But, so far so good.

I purchased these tongs and everything is great, EXCEPT that the end of the tongs where you grab the meat is cupped rather than almost flat making grabbing certain things like some chicken wings, hot dogs, and smaller items very diifcult to grab tightly and makes it difficult to turn smaller items.

I decided to try these after being frustrated at the thin, wimpy tongs available at most stores.

As other have said these are very sturdy, made with a much thicker gage of stainless steel than usual. The should last a long, long time.

However, I wasn't happy with the shape of the tongs gripping surface. Too much of a 'vee' front to back and kinda flat at the back. If you try to pick up a burger or other meat from a grill, you'll puncture it with the tip before you get a good grip on it. (I don't know how Weber considers this shape to be optimal.)

As shipped, the tip is more of a 'pincer' than any other tong I've owned. Weber must think that it enhances grasping small objects like shrimp or asparagus, but I find the shape just plain wrong. The vee is so angled that only if you pick up something 5-6" across are the tips contacting all the way along the head. If you like to pick up burgers, steaks, and chicken by laying the tongs flat on the grill and pick thing up from the sides, these are your tongs. If you pick up things by sliding one tip under the food and gripping the top, these are simply the wrong shape.

After trying them, I went into my shop and put each tip over a 1 1/2" oak dowel for a mandrel and beat the tips into shape with a rubber mallet, patterning the shape after other tongs. I flattened the front to back angle to about 1/3 of the original and made each tip more concave as well so the back 'teeth' bite better. Now I can pick up a typical burger and steak with the tip contacting the whole length of the tong head, not just at the tip. Yet after modifying them, they still work good when 'side-gripping' as well, so I can't say I like Weber's design. At least they can be re-formed to ones own preference.

Anybody that grills knows that the tongs are the indispensable tool; turning your phallic meats, delicate veggies, devastating steaks, and anything else non-patty formed.

Unfortunately, anyone that grills also knows that the average pair of kitchen tongs leave your hands burnt or at the very least, looking sunburnt because of the close proximity to flame.

So after one long summer day that left me with ring and watch marks, I decided to pursue the perfect 16" tongs, and these are it.

It's not mentioned in the product description, but these bad boys are a full 16" length like the ones by Lodge Lodge Camp Dutch Oven 16-Inch Stainless Steel Tongs, but unlike those, these have a rubberized grip so as the tongs get hot, your hands don't.

What's also great is that they don't fool around with "grips" on the actual tongs. I had a pair of "BBQ" 16" tongs from Crate & Barrel and the tips were not high-temp compatible and so married my meat and grill grate in a melted elope of disgrace. I'm sure there are high-temp tips, but coals and grills reach temperatures I'm not confident about unless it's pure steel.

Another problem I came across with other 16" tongs, was that the grips would bend and weaken over time. The longer your tongs, the sturdier the ends have to be to withstand the pressure from levering meat. If you're a veteran griller who's used cheap tongs, you know what I mean. You try to grip your grillable and the tongs just bend outward. These do not. You could use these tongs as small baseball bats.

And as you might've guessed, these tongs leave my hands far and away from the direct heat. No longer are my hands pink after a day of grilling.
