This really does infuse your food with a very bold difference that tastes heavenly. You can use the plank twice certainly. After that you start to loose a little bit of flavor. After it's all used up, just put it in the grill to burn and still get one more use out of it!

I soaked the planks for more than two house as recommended (more than 24 hours actually). I heated the grill to the recommended temperature and placed the hickory plank (I'm assuming hickory since it was the only one not clearly labeled) on the rack. Within 2 minutes it was bowed up and on fire. I turned the heat down and tried to spray it with a little water just like the directions say, but within a few seconds it was flaming again. Needless to say, I removed the plank from the grill to continue cooking so that my steaks would not taste like burnt char. Very disappointing. I would not recommend these other than to use for wood chips in the bottom of the grill or over a fire.

Have only used the Cedar to make Salmon but it performed well and we will purchase more of this when it is no longer usable.
