This works perfectly in my big green egg. Much more substantial than the original and is much easier to clean

First of alllet me say this thing is HEAVY. And when you're talking heat transfer, heavy is good! It also speaks to the quality of the product in general.

This gives grill marks every bit as good as the cast iron grate I've been using for the past couple of years, but without the constant battles against rust. And the ability to easily (at least MORE easily) add some wood chips/chunks to the fire makes this thing a godsend. I'll admit I balked a bit at the pricewhich is admittedly substantialonce I received the grate it was obvious that you get what you pay for. Love it!!

Just wanted to write a review for these grates. I know the price looks hefty. I have 2 Large Big Green Eggs and these are by far the only grate that will outlast the egg. Thanks

Honest reviews on Luxury Stainless Cooking Grid for Large Big Green Egg

Excellent quality and it is definitely a heavy weight....love being able to add smoking chips without removing the whole grill....excellent addition to the BGE....well worth the money!

This really is the best cooking grid you can get for your large big green egg. I started off with the cheep wire one that came with the big green egg but the gaps were too large and it retained no heat. Then I got a cast iron grate but there were two problems with it, if I wanted to add wood chips while grilling I had to remove the whole burning hot grate which just isn't a safe thing to be doing. The other issue was even though I oiled it the cast iron ended up getting rusted and looked like junk.

The high-que grate fixes all those issues, the bars are very substantial (to hold heat) and close enough together so I am able to make those great gill marks on meat. The hinged side allows for adding wood chips between rounds of burgers. It will never rust because it is stainless and after a month of grilling when it is black I pull it out, set it on the driveway and hit it with some oven cleaner. After an hour in the sun I hose if off and then put it through the dishwasher. It comes out looking like new. Yes, it was a lot of money but they don't exactly give away big green eggs either so they pair well.

Just pull the trigger, you won't be sorry.

Great grill!!! Overall there are quite a few choices when picking a weber grill. 1st things 1st, if you are debating between another grill and a weber genesis stop. Don't spend your hard earned money on the cheap grills that lack quality but offer extra features. I fell for that too, bought a $700 Perfect flame grill from Lowes two years later it burned up, and the company wouldn't do a thing about it. Weber grills typically last 10-20 years, mind you after 5 years you may need to get some parts, but nothing last forever, not even SS burners. NOW for the details. There is the E-310, E-320 and E-330 models, all come in stainless like mine, but to be honest I wouldn't have paid the extra for it if they had a black one in stock. Now for features. If you don't need a side burner get the 310. I need the side burner for bacon in the morning, because I hate smelling bacon all day in my house. Now the E-320 and E-330, all you really get with the 330 is a sear burner(just an extra burner) Is it worth the 50 bucks? That is in the eye of the beholder. It does heat up faster and is nice for searing, besides your already spending 750 whats an extra 50(mine was 950 for the stainless, definately not worth the extra 150 especially since the enamel doesn't scratch easy go ahead and take out your keys and try it on a floor model, very impressive). Overall, I am very satisfied with the grill. Constuction is way better than any other grill I have seen for the price(I built mine myself and it went together well). Only thing I would change is the plastic washers on the cart, which I will replace tomorrow(plasi-dip some metal washers). Grill preheats in less than 5 mins at 50 deg F, that was to 550. Basically, it looks nice, cooks well, and will last a long time!!!

Just assembled mine today and it wasn't too bad.

First off don't waste your time using the little cheap wrench they send with the unit an 11mm socket wrench makes it go much faster.

This is my 4th grill in the last 15 years. Seems like the units you pick up at the big box stores for $500 just aren't made to last. The last two grills I had I picked up at Sam's club. They sure looked impressive with their stainless steel panels and 6 burners but the problems were countless wheels that broke off, the main tub rusted out the bottom on one. Other issues with the Sam's unit were that IF parts were available the cost of the parts just made the unit not worth fixing.

So I put off buying a Weber for years always said they were too expensive and if your just looking at them sitting next to a Char broil that costs half as much a novice might not see the difference, but here's what impressed me.

1. HUGE casters, These things are 4" round and are not the cheap plastic ones you find on other grills they have like a neoprene outer part that makes them roll nicely. PLUS all 4 casters spin. (front ones lock)

2. The tub not cheap thin steel CAST ALUMINUM very nice!

3. Main frame. I was impressed by how thick the steel was much higher quality than my previous Members Mark (Sam's) units

4. Double wall construction. The top and doors all have outer and inner skin. That ensures that your top won't discolor as much with the heat.

5. The grates. What can i say the stainless steel grates are GREAT! I had a Char Broil that I bought from Lowes that looked like it had tube grates but in fact they were U shaped stainless steel pcs. that were held together in a frame. they worked ok untill I dropped one cleaning it and it fell apart into 40 pcs. It took me over an hour to get that grate back together. That will NEVER be an issue here stainless steel bars all welded together. I'm sure you could just pop them in the dishwasher to keep them clean.

6. The grease tray. If you haven't seen whats under the cooking area you should. First off the main tray is porcelain coated so grease won't stick to it. The grease drips from thee into this little tub that's easily removable from the front. And even better yet Weber throws in 2 aluminum trays that are disposable. They look like the inexpensive aluminum baking trays you get at grocery stores. What could be better if you don't want to remove and clean the metal tray just buy the cheap aluminum inserts and throw them away when they are full.

7. Hood Hinges. On 2 of my previous grills the hood would no longer stay upright the cheap metal that was supposed to stop the lid from falling backwards just bent. That will not be a problem here, cast aluminum hinge assemblies very thick, very nice.

8. The nuts and bolts. I was also impressed by the hardware it was color coded (grey or black) and Weber uses plastic washers in between metal parts. This shows an attention to detail that other manufacturers just are not willing to spend money on.

Now the things I don't like.

1. Chrome trim. In my experience Chrome trim + Chicago weather just don't do well together long term. There is chrome trim on the top sides of the lid, the doors have chrome trim around them as well and of course the handles are chrome.

2. Fit & finish the chrome trim around the front doors has VERY sharp edges. (This is an excellent spot for rust to start in as well) Some of the exposed edges of the cast tub have some sharp edges to them.

3. Assembly. Wasn't terrible but I think they should have shipped it in a larger box and had the whole center (stand, tub and lid) pee-assembled. Some of the screws seems a bit out of alignment but nothing an extra helper couldn't help force into place.

Overall, I'm very happy with the purchase I paid $829 for mine from rainbow appliance with free shipping I think it was a great deal.

I do have some thoughts about the one or two people who did not rate this very well. First off this was the first owners manual I read. And to tell you the truth I was shocked at some of the things they tell you to do. For instance preheat the grill for 15 minutes. Personally I don't think i ever gave my grill more than 5 minutes before slapping down a chunk of beef. I don't think the "average" grill owner knows how to properly grill. Heck I've had 4 grills and I now know that I personally was "clueless" to the art of grilling.

________________update___________________________

I took 2 stars off because weber tech support pot me through 2 months of hell with this.

At 4 months old the grill started giving me trouble getting it started. I called their 800 number and they told me to turn the gas on wait 2 minutes and then start it. And that worked a few times but every week it got harder and harder to start and every week they would have me do something else.

Then they started with the "your turning the gas on too fast" and some other BS like I don't know how to start a grill (after all its only my 4th propane grill)

well after 2 months and about 6 calls they finally decided to send me a new regulator and that fixed the problem. My complaint is why didn't they offer the regulator after the second or third call. 2 months of hell spending 5-10 minutes each time I wanted to start this.

If I had known that a regulator would have fixed the problem I would have PAID for one. and for their customer service to tell you that you are turning the gas on too fast is just ridiculous.

After several years my old cheap Charbroil grill was on its last legs. I love to grill and I live in New England and I am the guy who shovels a path to his grill after a snowstorm. A few years ago I bought a Weber Smokey Mountain was very impressed at the quality. Thick gauge steel, very well designed, and easy to use. So when I decided to get a new grill I knew it would be a Weber and I wanted something that would last me 10 years plus. I would rather spend more money now than to rebuy something new a few years later. This lead me to the Genesis S330. I wanted stainless because more to avoid rot than for the aesthetics (it is a good looking grill) and I needed one with a side burner. I have a glass-top electric stove in my kitchen and the side burner will let me use my cast iron pans for certain recipes. Plus I can cook beans at cookouts, corn on the cob, lobster, etc. without going back and forth to the kitchen.

It was extremely well packaged, read the instructions when you unpack it because it also tells you where each part is in the box so it is easier to put together. Its also heavy, in the range of 180 pounds, and I was alone when it arrived. So I skipped that step and took the pieces out into the backyard bit by bit. It took me longer to put together but my back was much happier. Assembly took about 3 hours with me taking my time to make sure I put it together right. A few parts are easy to install backwards so retrace your steps if something isn't fitting right.

Cooking on the grill is nothing short of amazing. It heats up fast and the sear station is excellent. I cooked filet mignon to the perfect medium rare by turning on all burners and using the sear station to high. Put the steak over the sear station and cook for1 1/2 minutes, rotate 90 degrees (for diamond grill marks), cook for 1 1/2 minutes, flip and sear for an additional 3 minutes. Next turn off the sear station and middle burner, move the steak to the center of the grill and cook for an additional 3 minutes (indirect heat.) Rest for 5 minutes. It had an awesome crust, great texture, nice and juicy. Better than what I can get at most restaurants.

If you are thinking about spending the money on a good grill I would go with the Genesis 330. If money is an issue check out Weber's Spirit line. Either way you really can't go wrong with a Weber product.

Honest reviews on Weber Genesis S-330 Stainless-Steel 637-Square-Inch Grill

As a mechanical engineer, I can testify for the quality of this item. The packaging was perfect. Assembly instructions were idiot proof. The meat tasted incredibly good. I will never go back to charcoal grilling again.. Much easier to cook and prepare the fire.. and it tastes great. (Unless you are a charcoal pro, to cook with this one is much safer... you have a steady heat... no worries about the fire being too hot or too cold..) It is darn pricey and I am sure everybody is making good money out of it. (factory and Amazon :) ) but I rather pay more and use a decade, than having to change every two three years.. WEBER is a great quality brand..

If you are hesitating between 310, 320 and 330.. The side burner is something nice but not a must have.. But the searing station is a must if you want to make good steaks. It also helps to heat the grill faster.. Mine hit 500 F in 5 minutes... Regarding the color options... The best looking one was the stainless steel one for my taste.... and not only the outer finishing but some other interior parts were also better quality than the others...

If you're buying a grill and can fit $1k into your budget, look no further. Received the S-330 just over a week ago and can find nothing to say other than it's the best I've seen in this size grill, bar none. Everything every fitting, every part is first class.

Assembly is straight forward, though a bit time consuming, but I enjoy "putting things together", as my wife says. It is heavy, but one average male can complete the assembly process. I did, no problem. The delivery company, ABF in my case, couldn't get their truck into our gated community, so I met him outside the gate. He and I loaded it onto my pickup. It weighs almost 200 pounds, but the box is huge and allowed me to slide it off the tailgate, stand it on its end, then I just laid it down flat and slid it into the garage where I assembled the grill. No big deal. Once on the casters, I was home free.

The sear burner does steaks the way steak should be. Wouldn't be without it. And the side burner is really handy, often negating in house cooking altogether. I like that. We have a covered patio which will keep it completely out of Florida's weather; I can see this thing lasting forever with a few internal parts replaced a few years down the road. It's built like a tank.

Purchase the Weber 7519 Gas Grill Rotisserie it's a must have. Be careful. Amazon is a bit ambiguous describing Weber rotisseries. The 7519 is the only one which will work with the Genesis 300 series. Learned that the hard way.

Buy it, you'll love it.

This is one of the cutest things and a great table addition. The umbrella opens and closes like a real one. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars, is the fact that the ketchup and mustard containers are not the best quality and will probably crack after a few uses. Other than that, it's a great product.

I have been considering buying a propane smoker for a long while, and after much comparison shopping I chose this one.

Background:

Outdoor Leisure makes several smokers, of which this is the top of the line. These are the main differences between them, sorted by Amazon price:

30169G 30" high, 16" wide, 14" deep. Cast Iron burner. Two cooking grids. Outdoor Leisure 30169G Smoke Hollow Propane-Gas Smoker

34168G 34" high, 16" wide, 14" deep. Cast Brass burner. Three cooking grids. Outdoor Leisure 34168G Smoke Hollow Propane-Gas Smoker

30160G 30" high, 16" wide, 14" deep. Stainless steel burner. Three cooking grids. Outdoor Leisure 30160G Smoke Hollow 30-Inch Propane Smoker

38208G 38" high, 20" wide, 14" deep. Cast Brass burner. Four cooking grids. (This is the one I bought) Outdoor Leisure 38208G Smoke Hollow Propane-Gas Smoker

Details:

Construction-wise, there are all similar: they have a large welded box, four legs, a burner assembly, regulator assembly, wood box, water container, and several chrome plated cooking grids. I was able to assemble mine in about 30 minutes. It is bulky, but not too heavy all considered; I am able to move it myself (two people are better). The only construction defect I found was that the burner assembly was a bit bent in places, but it worked fine. The various models have slightly different details in the handle type & etc.

Note that the size is WITHOUT the 8 inch leg height. It is the height of the smoker box.

Pro:

Straightforward assembly. Follow the directions carefully. Tools needed are a screwdriver and pliers.

It lights easily and the propane tank connector is a quick-connect style, very easy to use.

Does a GREAT job of smoking. The instructions said that I would run out of water after 4 hours, but I smoked for almost four and still had lots of water and wood left.

The cooking grids are very stoutly constructed, and clean easily. The wall shelf attachments can be adjusted so that the shelf heights are completely changeable.

The wood box is large, with a nice cover. Both this box and the water container are porcelain coated steel and cleaned up fairly easily.

Con:

Okay, this is a big one. I almost gave this product four stars instead of five. The regulator on this unit burned too hot. Even on the lowest setting, the interior temperature was 350 degrees!. From reviews I have seen on the net, this is a common problem with the Smoke Hollow line, and the company will send a replacement regulator when asked. I have asked, and will update the review accordingly.

WORKAROUND: Despite this problem, I was able to cook at 220 or even lower. The trick is to set the regulator on HIGH, then push it in as if you were going to turn it off but only turn it part way off. In this way one can set the temperature to whatever is desired. I smoked between 220 and 240.

The temperature gauge was not very accurate. I would recommend that you get an oven thermometer and set it inside. I found the interior temperature to be about 40 degrees less than the outside gauge indicated. I list this as a "Con", but it is typical of most smokers.

Cooking:

If you are new to smoking, I suggest that you do a search and look up the subject. There are many techniques that can be used, and the type of wood you smoke with will have a lot to do with the final taste. I mesquite smoked two chickens and a pork loin, and all were delicious, moist, tender, and had a great smoke flavor.

I was pleasantly surprised that there was not a lot of smoke coming out of the box when cooking. The smoke stayed pretty much inside.

Summary:

Despite the issue with the gas regulator, I recommend this product. It does a good job and is well designed.

***UPDATE****

I exchanged a series of emails with the company over the regulator. At first they suggest I try the "work around" I listed above. I replied that this actually is not a good long term solution; pushing in the temperature gauge to shut off is a safety feature. After that exchange, the company is sending me a replacement regulator, but it is on back order until June. I will update when it arrives.

****Update June 2010****

I finally received the replacement regulator. It took about 15 minutes to install. Now the unit works fine minimum is about 175 degrees and maximum is about 300 degrees. If your smoker won't provide cooler cooking, be sure and contact the company for a replacement regulator!

I read the reviews on the 34 and all were good couldn't find one one this one so I guess this is the first.I have used a Franklin wood stove hooked to a 55 gal barrel for years and great food came from it but it took a large wheelbarrow of wood and 3 hrs to get a good bed of coals to cook with. The wood pan in side this stove measure's about nine and a half by eight inches I packed it full of large wood chunks turned the fire on had smoke in about 6 min.that lasted 5 hrs on a rack of ribs.So far I have only cooked 2 racks of ribs and 2 briskets with no complaints.I may have to cut another vent in it 230 degrees was as low as I could get it. I think this is a great smoker came packaged in good shape and was easy to put together.Bought from Amazon shipped in a timely manner.Beats cutting wood for the old stove plus gas is cheaper than charcoal.

Love this Smoker. I read the reviews on many other smokers and shopped around for a while. I started smoking 2 years ago with a charcoal smoker, It was an awsome learning experience but it wasn't easy to cook and 10 pound pork butt for 18 hours having to change the coals over every 6 hours or so. With this Smoke Hollow 38208G Propane gas smoker, you can set it up the night before, set the temp to 230-240 or so, put your chips (soaked or unsoaked)in, and let it go over night while you get some sleep. When i smoked ribs, i put a rub on them the night before, soak my chips for about 2 hours prior to starting to cook, set the temp to 250-260 placed the ribs in side, put the chips in, close it up and go do some yard work for and hour or so, place another set of chips in (that's optional)let them cook for 2&1/2 more hours, take them out and wrap them in aluminum foil with an apple juice baste, set them back in for another 90 minutes, unwrap them and coat them in BBQ sauce and heaven isn't to far away.I seen very little in the way of smoke seeping out of the smoker but you can definately smell it.This smoker is one of the best out there.I did have a small issue setting the temps to a low setting. The solution was easy to fix. If you set your temp to its lowest setting, and you find the temp is still to high, simply turn your gas tank down to almost off (maybe about a 1/4 of a turn open)or less. This will bring you to exactly a perfect temp and maybe save you on propane too.

Honest reviews on Smoke Hollow 38 in. Propane Wood Smoker

I did a reasonable amount of research before deciding to buy this model. I had never used a smoker before this one, and so far have done salmon and chicken. The chicken had a very nice smoked flavor to it, but I need to work on my rub a lot more and let things soak in much longer before cooking them. I smoked the chicken about 4 hrs at 225. It was fairly difficult to keep the temp at 225, but I think a decent part of that is just the learning curve. I smoked 4lbs of salmon which had been brined and allowed to dry properly at 180f for 7 hrs to get it to 148 int temp. I had a hard time keeping the smoker this low, and it required using the method that many others have mentioned on here to basically push the knob in and move it toward cutoff but not quite there. A full basket of wood chips/chunks lasted about 4 hrs for me, I made the mistake of letting it run out completely, and it takes a really long time to bring it up to temp and get the chips smoking again. I think next time around I will try to add them every 2 hrs or so and just be quick with the door.

The build quality is ok, the box seems pretty sturdy as does the burner portion, but the handle is a bit flimsy and the vent is pretty useless from what I could tell. The first comment my wife made was "Wow you paid over $200 for that, it looks like it cost about $20 to make." Mine did have a big dent on the top of it, and I don't actually think it had anything to do with shipping, my best guess would be it was built and left this way which passed QC for these guys.

I don't have another smoker to compare it to, but the food has been really good and the build quality is ok.

(I've now edited this review and replaced the original 3* with a 4*. The replacement regulator was shipped after a short delay, and everything works much better now. The only reason it's not a 5* is that the customer shouldn't have to go through this charade.)

This would be an excellent smoker choice but for the temperature issue. The smoker itself is sturdy, well designed and spacious.

I've used it to cook for a large family group a couple of times, and the construction and general approach are fine. The problem was that I couldn't get the temperature down to where it needed to be; the minimum it would produce was 350 degrees. That is an oft-repeated complaint on this manufacturers smokers, and I don't understand why it hasn't been fixed. The regulators aren't rocket science, just ship one that produces heat in the 200 400 degree range; I feel confident that whatever Taiwanese supplier made the regulator included can handle that. I hadn't seen the work-around (press in as if to turn off, etc.) posted here, but there should be no need for that.

I've emailed the company asking for a lower temperature regulator replacement, haven't heard back yet. This is inconvenient and expensive on both sides; of my time and for the company as well. Just fix it.

One small suggestion for the manufacturer: the instructions for assembly are generic and apply to several models with different sub-directions where appropriate. The only times I got off track were when I followed the instruction branches for the wrong model. The assembly instructions are appropriately just cheap throwaways--get a good secretary or a technical writer for a couple of days and produce specific instructions for each model.

This is a nice utensil set, with everything that I can think of that I'd need for grilling. We use it for our set while camping. The utensils are made of thick and solid metal. They are very sturdy. The case, however, is a joke. It is the absolute cheapest thing they could find. The utensils don't stay in their designated areas and the latches are completely inadequate.

Made in Chinavery cheap set. When I opened it, the tools were all over. The other reviewer was correct in saying that the case is pretty much a throw-away. The tools themselves are low quality as well. Lots of loose parts. I would stay away and look at another grill set if you want to use these more than a couple times.

I got this for my Dad for Christmas. Both my parents are outdoorsy, and love to camp and boat in the summer months. I thought this "kit" would be perfect for camper or boat, depending on what they're doing. Everything is included, and the handles are actually wooden! It's useful and aesthetically pleasing.

The tools itself are OK quality but the box is pathetic. The tools don't fit in the grooves, the box does not shut and lock at all. Very poor quality packaging.

I returned this because it arrived in condition too poor to give it as a gift as intended. All of the sharp BBQ implements inside came loose during shipping and damaged each other and the case. The shipping box was not damaged on the outside, and the case is quite flimsy, so it is probably not uncommon for the pieces to come loose like this. The case was cracked and scuffed in many places on the inside. The clips that hold the case shut don't clip at all. I ended up running to Target to buy a different one to give as a gift.

I generally purchase $400-$500 grills from Home Depot or Lowes and have been very happy. I decided to take a step up and buy the Weber this time around for two reasons:

1) The cost for repair parts are reasonable and available. When I looked to repair my overly rusted Brinkman -it would cost me as much as a new one to repair. I honestly dont think I will be looking for parts anytime soon -but when I do I can repair vs. replace.

2) The grill really does cook soo much better! So far, everything I have cooked comes out really (better than expected) good!

I assume other grills are designed between cost and cooking quality. With the $750 grill (Got the stainless grates and flavorizer bars), the cook quality is outstanding. I once thought grills were grills and measured them by durability -now I measure by how good they cook. Not sure why a grill cant just be a flame and grate, but there is really a difference.

The Weber Genesis EP-310 grill is our 3rd Weber grill since the 1990's. This has the ability to cook at lower temperatures than our previous ones as well as very high temps. The stainless components look good and I expect them to hold up well in salty air. To nitpick, I do wish the stainless grates were broader and didn't have the cross pieces so cleaning was easier (like we had purchased for our previous Weber) but we are very satisfied with the appearance and performance of our new EP-310. We chose the steel gray to fit in with the color of our new house and it does. I

I just bought a floor model Weber EP-310 from a store that was going out of business. It was delivered today and I cooked with it for the first time tonight. Amazing! The quality of this grill is far superior to my last one. I will not buy another cheaper brand to save money. It was not worth it as the last one failed after 3 years. I understand why everyone says it's best to buy a Weber. All of the moving parts feel heavy and high-quality. The cooking was perfect. The steaks and shrimp came out evenly cooked. I have no complaints. Granted, I have only used it once, but the difference in quality was very noticeable. I'm very happy I picked this up. It came with the Island Cabinetry and that is a great add-on.

These grill grates came with a thicker gauge rod than expected (probably 3/8"). Excellent quality especially for the price. Great purchase.

The grates were exactly sized as described and the steel was of a heavier gauge than I expected... another words, PERFECT!!! Sorry for the hyperbole but I am really happy with this purchase.

We love to grill vegetables. Had an old non-stick type pan, but it got rusted thru and was unsafe to use. I finally settled on this Grill Pan. Frankly it is the best twenty bucks I spent.

The stainless steel will discolor if heated too much, but cleaning is not too bad. The first time I used it without oiling the pan, cleaning needed quite a bit of scrubbing. I ended up using oven cleaner (Easy Off) and it worked pretty well got all the crud off. I now oil the pan before putting it on the grill and clean up is not bad. The advantage of stainless steel is that with a bit of care it will give good service and there is nothing to flake off.

I also bought the veggie basket and use both interchangeably. The lips all around are great, I just use a spatula to lift the veggies to a serving dish.

LOVE: Quality of construction; Cost; Raised lips all around; Material

HATE: Cleanup is tough, but it is no tougher than with so called non-stick pans had one.

Would I recommend it definitely; I plan to replace mine with a similar one when this one goes (or I get tired of it)

Gets a 4 star since it is hard to clean grilled on residue. The openings mean that food like fish do not slip between the grates of the grill. Heats evenly in accordance with your grill. Only downside is we have to let it soak to get residue off. Non-stick would be better.

I got this to grill veggies and other smaller stuff that might fell through the grates on my gas grill.

After the first couple of uses (and subsequently leaving the pan on the grill for a few days without cleaning it), I noticed some brown discoloration that looked like rust on the surface.

I'm still not sure if it was rust or not, but I got the pan hot and sprayed it with olive oil and wiped it down with some paper towels. That got rid of the rust color and it hasn't come back.

Now the pan is a nice dark brown color, and I just spray with oil and clean it with the brush before use. It stays on the grill or under the grill when not in use.

Other than that, it works as a pan should. Stuff cooks when you put it on there, and it doesn't stick as long as you oil it at a higher temperature than you cook at.

Honest reviews on Weber Style 32903 Professional Grade Grill Pan

The first thing you'll notice about this product is that the price seems remarkably fair given the quality.

This is truly grilling made easy you can throw anything on this pan and you're good to go: veggies, baked potatoes, flakey fish.

I agree with the other reviewer about cleanup being a little tough, but truly it is no tougher than all the other stainless steel cookware we use it's all a PITA but worth it in the long run.

This grill pan offers best quality for the $$$. Heavy gauge and shallow depth allow for easy turning of vegetables etc. Only complaint is that it a little too large for my Weber BBQ. It leaves very little room for the grilling of other items, i.e. steaks, chicken, etc.

This grill cover is okay. At $25, it's worth every penny, but not any more. The material is quite thin and it didn't take long to get a couple of small tears. It looks good, though, and generally serves the purpose of keeping rain and other droppings from the sky off the grill.

The cover fits my 64" grill perfectly. I like how the bottom stretches around the grill rather than having to tie it with a cord. The material seems very durable as well.

I really didn't want to spend a lot of money on a grill cover, but I wanted one that would fit my almost 60" grill, and the part about the elastic bottom made me think it would stay on the grill. This does exactly as specified, I'm only giving 4 stars because it seems to be a little thin, but again at this pricing point I wouldn't expect much more. Look at the dimensions of this if looking at others in the same price point, and notice this one may be a little bigger. Overall happy with the purchase.

I needed something to keep our grill dry during the epic thunderstorms we are having this summer, but didn't want to spend a fortune. This grill cover is so much better than I expected. Not only was the shipping VERY fast, but this cover is nice, thick and solid feeling. The bottom has some elastic in it, so it hangs nicely and curves in to protect the bottom part of the grill. It won't blow off. Well it might if there is a tornado or hurricane, but I am not expecting that. I cant tell you how it performs over the winter as we will most likely store this grill in the garage during snow season. But overall, it is much better than I thought it would be for the price.

I purchased this grill cover as a gift for an OU alumni. When I received the package, I didn't open it right away. When I did, I found I was sent a grill cover for Ohio State University, not Ohio University. I contacted the supplier and they sent the right grill cover, in a larger size, at no additional charge. I am very pleased with the grill cover and especially the customer service.

Works perfectly on my Weber Summit S-670 Really simple and easy to clean too. Not sure why Weber doesn't make a grate lifter for their 9mm SS grates, least if they do...I haven't found it and I looked all over their site. Oh well, chalk one up for Fire Magic. Those 9mm thick grates are heavy and when they're dirty...well...they're nasty. Use this and it picks it right up and out and allows you to carry it around easily.

Oh and these days, it always helps to see a product MITUSA

I purchased this on season close out at my local Costco for $399 about a month ago. It really does compare to the Big Green Egg (BGE) and Primo grills for performance. It's about the size of a large BGE and can use some of the same accessories. I wasn't really considering BGE or Primo because they weren't in the budget. However, I almost bought a dedicated smoker instead, but I'm glad I didn't. I just couldn't see paying $200 to $400 for a metal box when I could have this. I'm hoping this is a buy it for life item, but only time will tell.

So far I've been mostly impressed with the construction. The head snapped off one bolt during assembly, which gives me some pause, but I was using a socket wrench, so I might have over-tightened it some. Otherwise everything is solid. The shelves are very nice and it comes with two tiered rack and cover. It has a huge firebox, so you shouldn't really load it to the top like you do with other kamados. Ideally you'd even put your deflector plate within the fire box. To do this, I purchased a spider along with a 16" wok from ceramic grill store dot com, and a 14" round 1" thick deflector plate (aka pizza stone) here Old Stone 4461 14-Inch Round Oven Pizza Stone. The spider will hold the heat deflector or the wok. The heat deflector allows us to do slow indirect cooking. You can't really smoke or BBQ without it. We checked for air leakage while smoking and found none. In fact, we accidentally snuffed out the fire once when we didn't mean to by closing it up too much. Despite our beginner mistakes, learning to control the heat was easy, and everything we cooked turned out great.

The first thing we made was ribs. They were some of the best ribs I've ever had, and I grew up in Texas. We've also roasted chicken, cooked pork loin roast, grilled shish-kabobs of shrimp and veggies, and made stir fry in the wok. My husband said that cooking on the grill is very fun and not significantly more work than the gas grill once you know what you are doing. I appreciate that I don't have as much mess in the kitchen to deal with. I have a young son and I'm glad that the bottom doesn't get as hot as some other grills ...ahem BGE ahem. I've checked while grilling and the bottom is just rather warm and not burning hot. I also love that it can handle both low and high temps very well. My Weber Q, which is still working after 10 years of regular use, is feeling lonely.

I have been grilling/smoking for years. I switched back to charcoal grilling after a few years down the propane path (I only use my propane for grilling hot dogs when we entertain kids who refuse to eat good food). I had built myself a quite nice smoker unit out of some barrel stock a few years ago. I have smoked tons of meat and cheese over the years, all the while staying up until all hours tending my pit, my uninsulated air leaky homemade pit.

A friend moved back into the area and had a large Green Egg. He was a fellow bbq'r and we started competing as it were every other weekend making delicious feed. I noticed instantly how well a Kamado held in the heat and could not believe his fuel usage....he could smoke for 12-14 hours straight on a nice fuel load (half a bag of lump hardwood). The only thing I could not come to terms with is the fact that with his setup he had sunk 2 grand into it. Thanks, but no thanks. As nice as it was I couldn't afford to drop that kind of bread on a hobby.

Fast forward a few months later, and I found this Vision grill at Costco on a season end sale for $375 (i mean the normal price is 549 and online they will ship it to you for 699) and let me tell you this was worth it. The grill came fully assembled, all i had to do was assemble the wheeled cradle. Nice quality sideboards that fold down and even came with a VERY high quality custom tailored and embroidered cover.

I can control my temperature down to 220 degrees (smoked some AMAZING pork shoulder on Friday night) and even cranked it up to 740 degrees. I made some fajitas and threw the cast iron plates over the hot coals so I could "sizzle" them just like the restaurants. The temperature can easily be set anywhere in between and be regulated there for hours. I put a half bag of hardwood lump fuel in at 6 p.m. and got them ready, and pulled the pork off at 9 a.m. the next day and still had fuel in the oven. I have NEVER had the luxury of setting my pit and walking away. Amazing. It even got down to 40 degrees overnight. You can't beat the insulation and control of this oven. Next weekend we will be baking bread in it. All for about a quarter of the Egg brand.

Buy this you won't be let down.

I bought 2 of these grills black, stainless steel stand, cover, pine shelves etc from costco a couple of weeks ago

They are great quality and cook better than my webers because the grill is about a foot above the charcoal and the air flow is much more controllable

better heat retention in the 180 pounds of clay may be the real cooking difference though

I haven't been able to get over 500°F with briquets for pizza a test with dry hardwood went quickly over 700°F

I bought both of mine for well under $750 for both on an end of summer clearance markdown check your local costco to see if any nearby costcos are still selling them

The costco online price is still $700 each incl shipping it weighs 226# in the box

amazon has a similar price on the other model of this grill amazon sells for $900 here titled

Honest reviews on Vision Grills Classic Kamado Charcoal Grill 596 Sq. In. Cooking

I ordered this grill from costco and it is amazing. My first cook was a brisket and it held 250 for around 15 hours with no adjustments to the vents. The bottom vent did leak a little air at first but a little bit of sealant and it's perfect now. Even without the sealant it worked great just wasn't able to get below 250-270. I did beer can chickens today that were so moist and juicy you would not believe it.

I used to have a gas grill and no matter how many wood chips I used and how slow I cooked my meat it could never match up to this Kamado. The first time I used it I made the best tri-tip ever and same goes for chicken, ribs, and more. It's much more fun and actually easier in the long run as you learn to just dial in the temperature and walk away. My brother bought the high end webber gas grill and we are always competing who is best. His cost so much more and really it's only better at cooking a quick burger or something easy. Burgers on this grill actually taste better but he can start up his webber with less effort. I just start my coals on my camping stove and then dump them into my Kamado. I read up on everything and went over smokers, the bullet, gas grills etc... In the end I wanted a Green Egg or Primo but those were out of my price range. What made this stand out to me was the ability to cook well at different temperatures. Found this at costco and it was my best buy ever. It's a year old now with no signs of breakdown. At this rate I figure it will last for a very long time. If you want to have fun cooking and bust out flavorful BBQ on every try then this or something similar is the way to go.
