These things are constructed so closely with OXO tongs they have to be made by the same plant. The only things that distinguish these from OXO good grips tongs are:

1. An embossed logo by the handle

2. A larger ring at the end of the lock

3. Lock is a bit tighter, but that may be due to my OXO tongs being several years old

The similarities with OXO are:

1. The exact same size and scalloped shape of the gripping end

2. The exact same shaft dimensions

3. The exact same handle material

4. Handle design so exact that the rubber grips are interchangeable

5. The hinge design, down the the internal spring and lock are visibly identical

These are great tongs. They're made of stainless steel, and they have soft grip handles. They're very sturdy. The locking/unlocking feature works great. And the long handle (17 inches) make these tongs very useful.

The Outset QT20 are very nice tongs for light to medium duty in the kitchen. For outdoor grill work a more heavier set should be considered. The weight of the Outset on my postal scale is 6.4oz and the metal is .033" thick.

For comparison I have an identical set to the Dutch Oven 16" Stainless Tongs found on this site and can be purchased most anywhere for $3.00 to $9.00. These are more heavy duty weighing 8.7oz and .042" thick plus the tongs are fully rolled and braced. They lack the locking mechanism but have an attached square sliding wire ring that serves the purpose. On these cheapos I had to do a few adjustments and use a file to rough-up the very slippery grip area so you get what you pay for but they're more suited for coals and larger cuts of meat, IMO.

The Outset QT20 are probably the same as OXO as noted in another review. Overall they look nice on a hook waiting to flip some chops and the locking mechanism functions perfectly. For the price paid, $10.00, it was a good deal.

I bought these for my husband for his birthday mid-July. He loves to grill and hates most of the "standard" bbq tongs because they either don't grasp firmly or only close all the way along one edge. He loves this pair! Not only are they long enough to make grilling a little less hazardous to his health (he *loves* fire), they grip strongly and he has no problem flipping burgers, steaks, or 'dogs with the gently scalloped edges. They hold up well in the dish washer, store easily since you can keep them closed, and so far I have seen no sign of rust or any other wear. This product is win for us!

I'm going to make this short since it's just a grill cover.

Pros:

-Well made, thicker grade vinyl with a flannel like backing on the grill side.

-Fitted to my Q200 and stationary stand.

-Small mesh vent on back to allow any leaked propane to escape.

-It says "Weber" on it.

Cons:

-Freaking expensive--you'll probably pay about 2-3 times what a cheaper generic "walmart" job will cost you.

In the end, I ponied up for it because of the (?perceived) better quality product and because I spent a ton of money on the grill and stand...what's $18 bucks compared to a $200 grill and stand?

4/5 stars (-1 star for cost).

I loved this grill cover while I had it. Great fit, looked pretty handsome, and certainly kept rain and pollen off of our grill on the balcony. However, I think the Amazon product description "The cover is fitted perfectly and is equipped with elastic side bands so it won't blow off" doesn't necessarily apply because ours blew away from our 2nd story balcony never to be seen again (even though I had properly secured to the stationary stand of the grill). I'm buying another, but am still a little annoyed.

Great idea! I use a butane cooker to fry fish but it is hard to light without placing the match and my hand too close to the burner risking a burn! The "match extender" allows me to place the match anywhere I need without my hand being near the burner or flame. I can see many uses for this handy little gadget. Buy Solaire Anywhere Portable Infrared Propane Gas Grill, Marine Grade

We've had our Solaire Infrared grill in the Marine grade for over five years now and couldn't be happier with it. One reviewer noted issues with wind. Agreed.. I usually have an inverted small turkey type aluminum roaster set on the grill as it heats up.. and sometimes to roast large pieces of meat. Incredible steaks. It's hot and sometimes we wish it had more surface. Perfect for traveling though we generally leave ours mounted on a slate table in the barbecue area out back. The Marine grade is a must. I just cleaned it up today with a little soap and water after all these years and it looks like new. We generally leave it covered with canvas when the weather is a mess. We've used camper type gas bottles and run from propane tanks under the table. We're very very satisfied customers.

I have an infrared grill at home and it blows out in a slight breeze. You simply cannot use an infrared grill in a windy environment, won't work. Just don't make the mistake of buying a Magma grill. They use 304 stainless vs. 316 that is covered in surface rust in 6 months.

As long as you get the box close to the flame (under the cooking grill) it works really well. It actually will work if you put it on the cooking grill but you need to put in on the grill maybe 20-30 minutes to get it hot enough for the wood to smoke. Much faster if you put below the cooking grill on the lava/ceramic bricks

I purchased this wood chip box locally at a big box hardware store for about $12 plus tax for my new propane smoker.

It is too small, holding only 100 grams (dry) of hickory chips which were soaked in water. With box directly above burner it took 12 minutes (350 F air temp inside smoker) for the first smoke to show and an addition 2 minutes (14 minutes) to get good steady smoke which lasted only 14 minutes. 28 minutes for 14 minutes of smoke!

Preheating cast iron box for 10 minutes, then put in soaked wood chips. Smoke started at 6 minutes, with steady smoke at 9 minutes which lasted 16 minutes. Still not enough for a deep smokey taste.

If you want just a lite smoke taste, this chip box might work for you; but for those like me that like a hearty smokey taste it falls far short.

If a lite smoke taste is all you want, save your money...use heavy duty aluminum foil, place soaked wood chips in the middle and make a sealed pouch. Then poke a few small holes on one side with a toothpick, skewer or fork. Put on grill to get a smokey taste with almost no cost! I have used this method and it heats up quickly and smokes for around 10 to 15 minutes depending on the amount of wood chips and species of wood.

these take too long to heat up wood chips, just use tinfoil and poke holes in it, easier and quicker cleanup as you just toss the tinfoil packs when you are done.

This cast iron smoker box is a good product for the price. After use, my smoker box started to corrode/rust slightly, but this was mostly my fault and does not impact overall performance of the box. One annoyance I had with the product was the label that the manufacture puts on the face of the product with industrial strength glue/adhesive. It was very difficult to remove.

This thermometer works well but is slower to repsond as compared to a previous digital version I owned. The nice feature is it's easy to clean and no batteries required, bad side is it takes about 30 seconds to a minute to get to a true temperature if you use it for spot checking. Its OK, serves the purpose.

The regulator works fine so far. The previous reviewer is correct in that it is just the regulator and you will need to get fittings that match your situation. One caution in bundling this regulator with the flex that Amazon offers in putting products together section. The flex that they were showing to sell with the regulator will not attach to the regulator. The regulator input is 1/4" Female NPT. The flex hose they are trying to bundle with it is a 1/4" inverted flare. There is not a fitting that I was able to find to convert it to NPT. Make sure you order a 1/4" NPT hose if you are connecting it directly to a propane tank.

These are good replacement regulators and meet specifications. The models I received were without the blue cap used to access and adjust the unit with a manometer. I had to return my units to the factory and they were replaced by Camco with units with the removable blue cap that allows access. Expertise is required to make these adjustments to 11 or 12 inches of H2O but without access it is impossible for a professionaL to calibrate. These are good replacements for the original Marshall units which are no longer available. I found the replacement units worked well and met specs. Two are used in my Motorhome one for the coach and the other for the 6.5 KW propane generator. Both do a good job

This is installed in a manner that allows changeout when camping. The grill cleaning blocks that I bought on Amazon are the replacement blocks that fit in the red plastic handle/holder. They do a great job at cleaning grills and they last a pretty long time. I use them more than I use the normal wire brush, although I do still use a wire brush. You do have to wipe the grill off to remove the stone dust residue when you are done.

This product is similar to a pumice stone but not quite as abrasive. I used it on a very dirty grill and it polished it up like new using about a quarter of the stone up. Now i use it every few times i grill and it keeps it looking great. I think it would work well on porcelin cooking grates but i think cast iron might chew thevtone up too quickly.

I used to dread cleaning our indoor grill, and as a result didn't use it as much as I wanted to. After discovering that these simple stone blocks make it easy, we use the indoor grill all the time. The holder is useful too, but the blocks on their own work just fine too. Make sure you have plenty on hand, because they do get used up pretty quickly. I haven't used them on the outdoor grill yet, but am sure they would be just as effective.

These salt and pepper shakers are pretty much what I expected, plastic shakers to put outside that you can drop and get dirty and not worry about it. For the price, the build quality meets or maybe even exceeds what I would expect.

The holes are way too big though. I never understand how companies screw up the size of holes on these shakers. They have one feature they really need to check before they package it and that is the ability to shake salt or pepper out without releasing too much or too little.

Too much you say? Make the holes smaller!

These are great salt and pepper shakers for the grill. Yes, the holes are large, but I use more salt and pepper on the grill than I do at the table. These shakers are larger than they appear in the picture. Each one is 2-1/2-inches wide and 3-inches tall. They are made of a high quality acrylic plastic. The black, top section does not unscrew. They are filled through a rubber stopper on the underside. I'm glad I purchased them and would do it again.
