I've had my smokey for two years and have grilled everything from burgers to briskets and whole chickens. My neighbors' Webers collect dust in their garages-most of them have gone to gas-but I've stayed loyal to lump charcoal and think this is hands down one of the best charcoal grills you can get for the money. The grilling surface is ample--you could even do a few racks of ribs if you roll them and sent them on their ends. Like the Weber, PK, and Holland grills, Old Smokey has a small cult following. And, for good reason. The design provides the versatility to use either direct or indirect heat, so Old Smokey functions as both a grill and smoker. The 18 inch diameter grill is perfect for a small family, but if I could do it over I'd just go for the 22 inch model so I could cook for a larger crowd. You should spring for the leg extensions, otherwise the grill won't stand waist high and you'll do a lot of bending over or squatting to tend to your 'cue. Reserve the shorter legs that come with it for camping outings. As for aesthetics, I think the Old Smokey has a lot of character. It's a great conversation piece, and, unless you live in Texas, you'll be one of the only folks on your block to have one! It's a fantastic little grill for the money. The only drawback I've found is that the simple design makes it hard to add charcoal. Unlike the PK, the grill is one piece, so you have to remove the meat and grill to add more charcoal. A slight hassle, perhaps, but for a product priced at around $50, you really can't complain. If you are one of those folks who thinks, "they sure don't make things like they used to" then the Old Smokey is for you. Check out the company's web site. Got my Old Smokey this week, and after years of being a Weber man, I was just in the mood for something different. Something that you don't see at every house on the block. I was also attracted to the large clearance over the grill for things such as beer can chicken. I don't think the Weber 18" has enough clearance to do this, although the 22" Weber does, the 22" is just too big for what I need. I don't do too much smoking, mainly just grill steaks, burgers, BBQ chicken & the like, and for that, this grill is perfect. For the reviewer that said the top doesn't marry perfectly with the bottom. No it doesn't, but why would you want it to? It sits on it just fine, and you don't want an airtight seal on a BBQ anyways, or your coals would go out. Hence why you open the top & bottom vents... as far as smothering charcoal to save it for next time, the seal around the edge of the lid is good enough once you close the vents.

I highly recommend the long legs to go with this grillthe short legs that come with it only raise it to a little less than knee level.

I love this grill. It's the perfect size and it's easy to clean out the ash. I'm really glad I got the Old Smokey Long Legs with it because it raises it up to a manageable height. It's basic and simple. My boyfriend grills, not I, but he does a damn good job with this grill. So happy with this and it was so cheap too! Highly recommended!

Old Smokey does what it is supposed to do ! It smokes the food very well leaving a great flavor to what ever you decide to cook on this grill. It's not too large to transport where ever you want to do your grilling and, not too small to serve several people at home. The only draw back is that the placement of the top is not precise you have to make sure it is lined up or you will lose smoke and heat out the seam. But once it is lined up the grill does a fine job and, if you know what you are doing you will get compliments on the food you cook on this grill. Very easy to assemble.

We've had this grill for years, and love it. I've used those dinky overpriced Weber grills and spent the whole time fiddling with the dampers to get the oxygen just right...whatever. The Old Smokey cooks great and maintenance is easy. The design is squatty and sturdy, so it sits really steady (some other grills I'd hesitate use with kids and dogs running around). I recommend the Old Smokey to anyone who enjoys the flavor of charcoal grilling.

Complete junk. It is super cheap. The plastic is so thin that with a few snowfalls, it split apart and is now useless. Don't buy the cheap one, it will cost you in the end. Also, the other reviews only say they just got it. Mine did not last a few months. In short, don't buy.

I got this grill cover from a local store known for selling cheap stuff, so I wasn't expecting greatness, just enough to cover it for the winter. When I installed it, it didn't cover the full height of the grill, leaving a good 12-18" exposed on the bottom. Worse, still, less than a month after installation, one side of the cover has worn through where the handle of the grill is! Spend the extra money on a good grill.

This is truly a case of "you get what you pay for". This cover is fine if you don't use your grill often and if it has rounded edges. Its a good size and will fit over most grills. It has a nice soft inside and doesn't seem to damage the finish of your nicer grill.

However, there are plenty of downsides. If you have sharp corners on your grill, this will rip in a few weeks. We lived in a a townhouse and had to store our grill outside for the winter. This cover did not make it through the harsh new england winter and had nearly tore in half by spring.

Depending on your use, this may be adequate, but invest in something more heavy duty if you live in a harsh climate.

I was tired of replacing my BBQ cover for my expensive 30" Lynx BBQ Grill. Only the Lynx grill cover would fit this grill until I discovered this one. This Classic cover is not only more durable than the Lynx Grill cover (which was an ugly black shiny cover with thin fabric that would shred apart within 1 2 years), but it is also sooo much cheaper! The only difference with this Classic cover is that I have to leave the Lynx side shelves extended up so the Classic BBQ Grill cover fits properly. It's a small compromise in order to get such a better product. In a way, it's actually a benefit since I never need to fold down the side shelves of the grill.

I actually called the manufacturer of this company to make sure that this medium grill cover would fit over my 30" Lynx Grill and they said that their dimensions were not that accurate.

Apparently the dimensions listed on Amazon for this product are not exactly accurate as the manufacturer explained to me. It says on Amazon that it "Fits medium bbqs up to 58-Inch L by 24-Inch W by 48-Inch H". There is extra room to accomodate a larger grill.

Well, my bbq is 59" wide (with the shelves extended) x 29" deep x 51" high. So you can see that my bbq is quite a bit larger than what the Classic website says it fits. If anything, my cover is a tiny bit snug on the width, but it's still fits fine. I'm really picky, and I think this product is great. You will see what an excellent product this is if you order it. It's made from highly durable fabric that doesn't fade (my grill sits in the sun most of the day and it hasn't faded at all.) The cover is easy to get on and off the grill as the fabric is somewhat stiff. It's also a nice color. The biggest challenge with this product is to make sure that it is the right set of dimensions for your grill.

Whatever product you order from this company, I think you will be pleased with it's quality.

Too bad that Classic doesn't make a ping pong table cover. The ones on the market that I've seen are so flimsy.

This is the best grill cover i ever bought ! Made very well. However, 4 star rating is because the size dies run a bit bigger. Large was just a bit bigger then i wanted even thought my grill size was with in large size. My gril is 63" long. So i got medium size that calls for 60" long grill. Its fits perfect, like a glove.

Recently received this cover, ordered in medium size and it is a perfect fit, very snug on all sides. The additions of the side handle, draw string, and buckle helps to keep the cover from blowing off.

The material is very heavy and thick and seems like it is much better then the original Weber grill cover.

It recently rained and the water beaded well on the cover.

Would definitely recommend over the Weber cover as this seems like it is much better quality and last longer then the vinyl material that Weber has used.

I have owned this cover for three months. It is made of very sturdy material (canvass with a vinyl backing). For the money it is one of the best covers I have owned. The problem is with the metal nameplate on the front of the cover. It is riveted through the canvas and backed with very small washers. Due to wind, the plate has ripped out of the cover and now there are two holes in the canvas. They will most surely get bigger and destroy the integrity of the material. This little bit of vanity on the part of Classic Accessories makes an otherwise marvelous product a questionable buy. Hopefully the engineers/designers will fix this.

This grill cover encompasses top quality Workmanship and Value into one, I purchased a Medium Cover for a Weber Genesis E-300 Series Grill. This is one of the best covers that I have purchased. Why? these are very good replacements after my old ones rusted out. just watch out. it seems that a lot of the dimensions of these bars are wrong on amazon. this specific ad says they are 25.5" but they are really 21.5" which is what i needed. i would suggest first visiting the weber grill site to find the exact model number you need, then go by that when you order from here.

These "stainless" flavorizer bars are made of a stainless steel that attracts a magnet, so probably a 400-series not a higher-grade 300-series stainless. For around $40-delivered, you can buy the identical-size and model # product from Riversedge, made of a similar 400-series stainless and twice the metal thickness. Check it outthe reviews for that 3rd-party product are quite good.

Save your money unless you want the panache of the Weber brand. Even better, talk to a local steel companyyou'll be pleasantly surprised at the cost of having flavorizer bars custom-madeit isn't rocket science.

I have an 15+ year old Weber grill that came with porcelain steel grates and flavorizer bars. I've already replaced the grates and bars once (along with a few other pieces). Although I was happy with the quality of the previous parts, I decided to take a chance on the more expensive stainless parts. I'm glad I did. They seem to be a little heavier, holding the heat better, and so far are holding up extremely well.

I bought mine from Home Depot, a 3 rack Masterbuilt pro. Paid $179. No complex electronics, just a plug and temperature dial to adjust. Easy to use, good smoke production. Easy cleanup. Works great. Have owned a year now and smoke trout, salmon, pork butt and ribs quite often. Sausage is really good when smoke do. The best wood chips are Smokehouse chips from Luhr Jensen. Small chips that smoke quickly, where larger ones take longer to get going.

This product was shipped fast, was exactly as described and actually fit like it should. The price was 1/3 the cost for the kenmore factory replacement, but works exactly as it should. By replacing with this burner I was able to rebuild the grill. If I used the factory replacement parts, it would have been more efficient to just buy a new grill. Highly recommend this product.

I just bbqed for a party of about 40 people on a 6th floor roofdeck. It performed just as good as any gas bbq.

Only negative design feature is there is a timer where you can increase time but where you should never decrease the timer. They should put that on the grill not just in the instructions so that bbqers (whoever they might be that starts cooking will know and you don't have to tell everyone)

I'll report back later when I get electric bill but other than that it's an awesome grill.

This product is very nice but the warning I read after I received it was the handles get hot. That would be a good thing to know before purchasing. I purchased a can of heat resistent paint dip and plan to dip the handles. This should solve my problem with holding them without a hot pad while camping, but it cost me additional $8 at home store. I may have chosen something with a wooden handle, but in the long run these will be more durable.

This griddle is perfect for the grill!! It's great to cook bacon or sausage...things that would stink up your house!! Cooks quickly and evenly. Not good for eggs though. It is not a smooth surface. Works with eggs, but not the best to cook eggs.

I use this griddle mostly to cook bacon which it does a great job. The large size and drain holes makes it perfect for this job. The only downside is that only one can be used at a time. If nothing is being cooked on the other side of the grill, it seems like a lot of wasted propane.

This product should get a zero! Notice that it does not even tell what grill it fits on! Notice that even the three positive reviews don't even mention what Weber Q grill model they are using it on? Whay is that? It makes me a little suspect of the reviewers. Is leaving out what grill it fits the trap for more to be sold to people who don't even have the grill it fits?

Someone please correct these things. I'm surprised Weber doesn't keep an eye on these misleading listings?

These tools don't actually lock in place. They lock open, but 'open' means they have a few milimeters of play between the locking mechanism and the backstop of the handle. That means that when locked open, the end of the tool wiggles separate from the handle. While they look neat, and do take up less space, they are pretty poor at fulfilling their actual purpose. Wiggling tools that don't go exactly where you need them to go is almost worse than no grill tools at all.

You might as well just use a fork and a pocket knife.

The picture suggests to the casual observer that there are 6 pieces to this set. There are only 3. The picture shows them folded and open, not a short and long set.

This set seems quite sturdy and the fact that they fold for easy storage is a big plus in my book. They also have a metal loop for hanging, if you wish to do that.

This is NOT a small sized set for traveling. They are normal sized, with the exception of the wire brush, which is a bit small.

I've only just got them, so I'll try to update this review after using and traveling with them for a time.

Something inside broke immediately but in order to get a replacement for the replacement, we would have to mail it back first. My husband managed to glue it back together and it works. Just cheap plastic but thats about all you can get anymore.
