I own a Weber Q300 built in 2005 and wanted a warming rack like my father has on his Weber Genesis.

I found this one and was leery of buying it for my Q300 based on some reviews on here stating that it wouldn't fit correctly, but I bought it anyway based on information I found in several places that stated that this warming rack would, in fact, fit all models of the Q300 series with no issues.

I got it in the mail and installed it in the grille immediately. It mounts just the same as it does on the Q320 pictured and without any interference from the grill's lid.

I have several pictures to prove this that I will upload sometime soon to help confirm that this is a good purchase for other Q300 owners.

I've used it extensively and must say it works quite well to toast the buns when I am making burgers or to slightly undercook vegetable skewers for when I'm feeling like some vegetables cooked on the crunchier side.

The only reason I didn't give it a 5 star rating is that I wish the back bar that runs behind the bottom part of the rack was either lower in height or supplemented with another bar. With the design as it is, I have a difficult time turning buns on the rack as they wish to slide under that bar and onto the surface of the grille. This is a minor complaint, though.

Bottom line:

Fits the Q300 perfectly, don't believe other reviews.

Almost perfect for everything for which I want to use it.

I was able to grab a $50 Q300 grill off craigslist and bought this to add to it.

Couldn't be happier. Fits perfectly (not sure why others have said it will only fit in the middle. I can place it at the very back of the grill and shut the lid.).

I rarely review items. I must note my disappointment, however, with customer service for this item. While the description clearly states for the Performer Grill, this grate did not fit it. The Seller insisted on a restocking fee of 1/3 of the cost of the item. When pointed out to the seller, the seller responded that there was more than one size grate for the Performer Grill. This was checked via Weber product description and confirmed to be inaccurate during the customer service call. The inaccuracy of the product description notwithstanding, the seller refused to accept the return without the restocking fee. I cannot recommend the seller, when other merchants would have treated the customer with more respect.

This hinged grate easily allows you to put in extra charcoal or even move them around while still cooking food. The original was quite frustrating, you easily could drop your food onto the ground while trying to access the hot charcoals. While one should have bought the larger grill for cooking beyond several people, I'm stuck with my 18 incher and the hinged grill is a must have, I can guarantee you can't live without it or you'll always say I should have bought one when it's too late to do so

Admittedly I don't do indirect grilling much at all, but I do like to add soaked wood chips on top of my charcoal just before grilling and though this might be an easy solution to removing the very hot grate. Honestly the hinge openings aren't big enough to do much of anything and became more of a pain than anything else. If you do indirect grilling this might be worth the money, but I would probably figure out another way to add more charcoal.

I have the light installed on the handle of a Primo XL Oval Ceramic grill. This product provides an ample amount of light for this grill.

C-clamp could be a bit more stiff. If the manufacturer would have molded in some small gussets inside the corners, I think it would improve the strength. It spreads open when clamped and if overtightened, it may actually break. Fortunately it clamps with enough power to hold it in place without too much stress on the "C".

The only problem that I could foresee if is the lid was left open with a really hot fire, it could damage the light because the light is just about centered over the fire when the grill is opened. Of course since we don't cook with the lid open in the ceramic world, I think it will be OK. It is worth mentioning that the instructions DO say not to install directly above fire. But to me, since it is designed to be installed on a grill handle, I don't see how that can be avoided on most any grill which it would be installed.

The instructions do say that extreme weather conditions may damage the unit and they recommend storing inside when not in use. Even so, I would like to see a gasket on the battery cover as it is not uncommon for me to cook while it is raining. I don't know if water will get in, but just to be safe, I think I will put some silicone on it just to be safe. I don't know if the switch is sealed though.

The battery cover is material is too thin to keep the batteries in contact, because it bows out

It only works if I press on the the center of the battery cover.

I found that if I put some foil between two of the batteries I could get it to work.

I thought this would be so great... i was wrong. Positioning it on the handle puts it directly over the flames when you are using it... something they tell you NOT to do in the instructions. The tightening mechanism is not well made and does not work well at all. The product itself is poorly made and mine quit working completely after only a few uses. (I ended up buying a much less expensive bbq light from Home Depot that has magnets to sit on the the side table area and has a gooseneck to position the light on your cooking surface a much better design option.) I threw this one away.

I modified this stainless burner to replace a completely disintegrated rusty original. I could not get a direct replacement, so had to take the gas tubes and feet from the original and install them on this one. Modification was easy and now the grill works like it did when new. And because it is stainless it will not rust out like the original. This was a very cost effective solution.

I used the product once. After, the first use, it was no longer a brush, but looks like a pencil. All the bristles are smashed into the center pole, rendering it useless. It did clean the first time, but is useless after that. If it was priced as a one time use I would have given it a better review.

My 10 year-old Stainless Kenmore grill has been great, but replacing parts is quite expensive, especially with 6 burners that require 3 Heat Plates. I only paid $199 for my $800 grill because someone used it once and returned it to the store. Great deal for me at the time, but I now realize why it originally cost $800. I purchased these exclusively for grilling use. According to the other reviews, these are great for grilling. However, they must not have used this with cast iron on the grill. We have the lodge logic cast iron fajita plates that we use all the time. My husband tried to grab one of these off the grill using one of these mitts and the cast iron branded the leather and burned his hand immediately. So they may be good for regular grilling or the fireplace, I'm not sure, I just know that if you grill with cast iron or cook with cast iron...these are not for you.

These are nicely crafted gloves. They are excellent for dumping coals from a chimney starter and moving grates while the coals are simmering.

One word of caution though, as I learned from another reviewer. These gloves are not meant for sustained gripping of very hot items. Heat will penetrate the suede and padding eventually. Ouch!

Otherwise, I would recommend these gloves.

The gloves are working great. We supplement our heat with a wood burning insert in our fireplace so everday I am reaching in to a hot stove to load wood and also carrying wood from the woodpile. The gloves work great, keeping my hands from getting burned and also keeping splinters and dirt at bay. There is one strange thing about the gloves on the cuff of each glove is embroidered the words "Grill Hepler". Evidently the Chinese forgot to use spell checker. LOL.

1.) Product states it's 17" long. I received 16-3/4" long burners which matched my OEM burners exactly. I have seen others stating they are 17-1/8" and I'm certain they would work (if they are actually that long), as there is at least 3/4" of play end to end to accept that length. For installation this is a good length. The extra room made it easier to hold the front panel while positioning the tube. I can't imagine the flame would be better / larger etc. by adding length and it matched the originals.

2.) Product weight is listed as 11 oz for one burner, 3.5 lbs for all five. At least that math was right; using a digital postage scale; one tube is 6.5 oz.or almost half the advertised weight! However, my original (used) tubes weigh 7.3 oz. now! So it seems after rust and flakes came off my old OEM burners they still weighed 10.8% more than these brand new burners. This means to me the stainless steel in the new burner is minimally 10.8% thinner and is unlikely to last as long as the OEM.

3.)My flame adjustment was nearly perfect when I aligned the leading edge of the venturi, (the chrome piece with screens that you twist counterclockwise), with the center of the crease stamped into the burner at about 9:00. This left about half the screen exposed. By "leading edge" I mean the straight edge beyond the screw slot projection. About 1/8" adjustments made a difference and 1/16" fine tuned it. For a variety of reasons it may be different for others but once I got one fine tuned, I duplicaed the others, installed and bingo-perfection. With a full tank of gas I had just a few flickers of orange above the blue cones. Initially the first burner would only light 1 side but as I got closer to the sweet spot it ignited fine on both sides. I may have played with the igniter alignment also.

4.) Initially when cleaning the grill I learned one burner was cracked and widened to 1/4" across the top in the rear, others were rusted but otherwise fine. This explained a hotspot I had trouble with. I bought this 5 pc. set for my 3 burner grill because the extra 2 burners gave me free shipping and 2 spares for an emergency and less coin than buying the 3 pc.set. The part # is the same except the suffix number indicating the number of burners. I found singles sold for under $9.00 incl. shipping that I'm hopeful will be around when I need to replace the entire set again. Obviously I'll just buy the 1 I'll need.

5.) Testing: Heat is even, flames appear precise, no hotspots except the rear is generally hotter than the front since new. I used the free space to pull the burners towards me as far as poss. to hopefully even it out with some success. Each burner lights first time almost always which is a big improvement especially for the cracked one. I then got carried away and used my orbital sander with 120 grit on the burner covers / tents and they shined up like new removing the chunks that even a wire brush wouldn't touch. I beleive this helped even the heat out eliminating hot spots even more. The whole thing looks new. Burners took 20 min. tents /burner covers 15-20 min. Stored extra burners in bottom cabinet and washed up. Less than 1 hour.

I grilled 20 strip steaks the following day and got more compliments than ever. Even those wishing for Med./Well (Ughh) received a juicy tender peace of meat and I've always had trouble on those MW requests. I simply put those on the rear burner area and didn't change the time. I had to throw one back on for 45 sec.

6.)Conclusion: I hate bad information, lies, and misleading info to the sellers advantage. They can't weigh, or measure but more importantly the burners don't mach OEM specs for metal guage. Aside from this the price was phenominal compared to others and the performance absolutely flawlessly exceptional. I have found clones, fakes, and clones of the clones! If a good clone works someone will clone it on amazon. It seems to get harder to make good buying decisions with less product info, constantly changing vendors with the same adv. and description. Cmon, can't even weigh it! How can you compare? But for me this is one that worked out well, performs for an exceptional price. Just saying it is nearly impossible to compare unless it is a leading well known brand and even then I found counterfeit. I don't know if this is counterfeit or not but for $25.00, it works well I can live with it. But as far as providing a rating the innacuracies deserve a 0, performance a 5. Performance is more important but I took the risk with the arcane way returns are handled. I looked up a previous purchases and they changed the vendor to someone I've never dealt with. This was in my purchase history try doing wty. claims with this stuff going on and nothing came with the item, no shipper, no phone, no address, no instructions.

My steaks were good, my party was a success, I was a hero. It was a quick solution received in two days, vanity wins I'll give them a 4

I love to BBQ and I have had my 22 ½" Weber Charcoal grill for the last 5 years. The issue was for day to day grilling when I did not have any guest over, the Weber was just a waste of charcoal and time for light cooking.

I wanted something way smaller for my deck for only 1-2 people. Requirement had to be charcoal (of course). I searched around the market for a while and found that Weber and several other manufactures had mini charcoal grills. The issue was that most of them were low to the ground. They were all selling for $20-$30 depending on the brand. I then discovered the Char-Griller Patio Pro. After seeing the build material (cast iron) and the sturdiness of the support frame in which the cooking box sat on top of, I knew this was the product that would meet my expectations.

Delivery:

I ordered the product from Amazon and received it within ~ 4 days. The correct package arrived on time and undamaged, so the ordering experience was perfect. I arrived from work around 7 pm and saw the package at my doorstep and I was excited to grill that night. However, I had read the review of other customers who ordered this grill and I knew assembly was going to be a nightmare. Sure enough, assembling the grill was absolute HELL!! Needless to say, I was not able to grill the day the product arrived.

Assembly:

The grill will arrive with all the pieces for it within the actual grill box. Everything is sticky as it has been coated with oil from the factory, so make sure you assemble your grill in the proper location. The grill has numerous screws and mini pieces which are not clearly identified at all in the instruction manual. The instruction manual is absolutely worthless as its measurements for the pieces are inaccurate and in my particular case, I had less pieces that what the manual said I needed, yet I still assembled the grill without running out of pieces. I will spare you the agonizing details of my assembly experience and summarize it as: Assembling the grill is going to be the ONLY bad experience in owning this product.

USAGE:

With that said, the actual functionality of this grill is EXCELLENT. It is PERFECT for its intended cause...cooking for 1-2 hungry men, or 1-4 average people. The grate is made out of cast iron and requires to be initially coated in vegetable oil over 300 degree fire for 2 hrs (according to the manual). I recommend doing what I did to get the grill ready for use...in order to burn off all the factory oils and "crap," I just filled it to the rim with charcoal and left it to burn...when I came back, all the oil's, crap, and "new stink" disappeared and the cast iron grates were seasoned and ready for use.

The first time I grilled was excellent. The air ventilation system allows for even heat distribution so you can control your fire. Another excellent feature of this product is the cast iron grates...they get so hot and leave an awesome grill mark on your meat...something I could never get with the grate on my Weber.

In addition, the little tray on the side is a HUGE convenience factor when cooking. You can actually put pretty heavy things on it without worrying it will break. During assembly, when I felt the wood material that was used for the tray, I was extremely concerned because I thought when the grill would get hot, they would burn away. So far, this has not been the case, however, time will tell how long they last. But at the present moment, they are perfect. Not shown in Amazon's picture for this product is three little hooks that you have to manually screw into your tray, which will allow you to hang your cooking tools...another cool convenience factor.

Cleaning:

Cleaning is pretty easy too as the charcoal tray box easily slides out and you just dump the ashes into a trash bag.

Overall quality is excellent and I am pleased that the grill does not wobble. In my opinion, aside from the assembly experience, you will not find a better mini charcoal grill with all the features that this grill has .

Great small grillif you don't have a lot of room, this is the grill for you. The iron grates are great (pun intended) for even heat distribution. It is too small to use charcoal baskets, but if you scrape the coals to both ends you can do some indirect grilling. It's just big enough for a 5-6 pound beer can chicken. The assembly instructions are terrible, but as a guy that's half the fun. Be sure to properly season it before usecoat all surfaces with vegetable oil and fire up enough coals to burn for a few hours. It'll burn off all the excess grease, paint, etc. used in manufacturing.

The grill itself performs well, once you figure out how to put it together (and I'm a retired architect). The manual is in chinglish, and there are MANY loose parts.... some incorrectly identified. Assembly required half a day. One of the wheel hubs came broken, so one wheel is now held on with a large rubber band. Since it was made in China, I despair of getting a replacement, and I'm certainly not going to take it apart and send it back at this point! (the wheel is one of the last things to go on.)

This is an excellent grill for small or medium size family. Doesn't require a huge pile of coal. I have used it for about 5 times since I bought, very easy to clean ash.

It's heavy duty and provides excellent temperature control.

The only issue is the assembly, where the instructions are not well written. If the company can provide better document to do that then it's a six star grill.
