This is a high-quality basic beer can chicken roasting rack, especially for the price. It doesn't have bells and whistles, but it's a good one. It is very sturdy with thick metal. The can holder portion is lower, which is a good thing. I've found that the taller ones are too wide to fit inside of a smaller organic chicken. This one works great. The handles on the side are convenient, but maybe a little too low to grab easily with big hot pads or gloves.

I received 2 separate shipments of this item (Charcoal Companion Magnetic Flexible Mini Grill Light) and both times the light was defective.

The instructions appear easy and straight-forward but there is something intrinsicly wrong with this product OR perhaps I was very unlucky and received the 2/10000 defective products.

The batteries did not fit as instructed and there seemed to be no contact between the cells. The lid closed with difficulty and then there was no light.

I have now returned both and will not be purchasing this product or any similar ones.

I am an avid amazon buyer and this is the first time I have had to write a negative review for a product.

I' the owner of , a smoked meats and grilling recipe site. I do allot of cooking and in allot of cases from sun up to late in the evening. My porch light is not located close enough to my pit and I often ended up trying to mop my meats with sauces or season them in the dark or try and hold a flash light. Both of these options were not working out. I looked all over for something small and bright. There are allot of clamp on models and lights of much larger size. I don't want to hassle with a desk lamp sized light. It's more to get in the way. This unit is inexpensive, durable and very bright. It can be carried in your pocket and pulled out and attached as needed. It's held in place by a strong magnet and I think it works out great. See my full review with pictures on my site. I highly recommend this light.

Sadly, I could not get this thing to work when I first got it. It took a couple of days of futzing & bending the spring to get it to come on. Then, when it finally did light up, it was nowhere near bright enough to cook by. You get what you pay for, I guess.

This flashlight has done everything I needed it to do, It worked for grilling on the BBQ, fixing things, and just looking for things. The magnet is perfect for the BBQ and working on your car. Of course not everything you work on has a place for a magnet, but, if it does, this will work perfectly

My old one was leaking. Yep, I didn't believe it at first, but the stainless steel was so thin that the grease was able to drip out and make a mess. A few dollars on this item and my grill is clean again!

I went to all of the stores, Sears, Home Depot, Lowes, etc., and no one carried one of these Replacement Steel Grease Drip Cups for an older barbeque I have where the cup on it now had holes from weathering through the years. The price was only a few bucks and it was exactly what I needed. I ordered and it arrived in a few days, no drama. Outstanding product line, price, and service.

It is probably me, but I could not figure out how to install this so it would stay put and have the cup under the hole in my grill. Maybe this is not for a Weber grill. I ended up going back to Amazon and found the original from Weber. More money, but at least it worked.

Best ONE 18.5" GrillGrate Panel (interlocking) Deals

Customer Ratings:

These things are awesome. Easy nice big grill marks... Then turn down the heat and cook to perfection. When your done, crank up the heat and burn off the gunk. Easy clean up after that.

As a bonus it keeps you original grill in "grate" condition. :)

I bought two of these for my gas grill based on the recommendation on the amazingribs.com web site.

I've been very happy with them. I use to fight with flare ups when I cooked brats before. Reducing the temp of the grill, constantly moving the brats from one part of the grill to the other (to avoid hot spots), water spray bottle, etc.

Now I use the grill grates for cooking my brats and never have flare ups. I use them for chicken and steaks (makes great sear marks), but mostly for my brats.

Clean up very easily and get super hot.

I love em!

It has exceeded my expectations! I first used it on the fourth of july and it was the first time. Everything was sticking to it and i thought i had made a bad purchase. BUT.... after some time (a few grilling sessions) I had started to use a cooking spray (standing away a bit so it didnt explode) and nithing sticks to it now and it grills amazing... hard to explain because you might be thinking they are only grilling grates.. but they are not. They are awesome. I spent around 150 to cover my grill completely and it saved me 150 so i didnt have to buy a new grill. regular grates were around 80 bucks anyways and they were worthless. SPEND the money! I promise you will not be disappointed

Cheap BBQ & Oven Cedar Cooking Planks

Customer Ratings:

These cedar planks are very long and the perfect width for a thin salmon filet, or do what I do and lay a large/wide salmon over the center of both planks. They are thick enough to use them more tan once. I soaked them in white wine/water/salt/pepper and some lemon juice for a few hours. The salmon turned out amazing with a nice smokey cedar flavor and the boards lasted through a few more grills.

I was quite satisfied with this product, with my first attempt at this kind of cooking being quite successful. The recipe for the marinade was great, as were the baking/grilling instructions. I took a Costco salmon fillet and sliced it down the center line, with each half then fitting nicely on one of the two planks. This worked out very well. I chose to bake the salmon in my oven rather than on my gas grill for two reasons. First, I figured that I would get better temperature control this way. And with a large party, I was using the grill for steaks, and trying to do two different meats on the same grill at the same time did not seem like a wise idea.

Two quibbles. It would have been nice for the ad to explicitly state that the order comes with two planks, and also to give the dimensions of each. (Let me reveal the secret: each plank is 15" x 5 7/16" with a 7/16" thickness.) Second, the directions state that the planks should only be used once, with no justification for this claim. I have now used one of the two planks twice with equally satisfactory results the second time. But I would like to know what indicator I should use to terminate further use.

Best Deals for BBQ & Oven Cedar Cooking Planks

I bought these cedar planks for my husband for Christmas. He recently smoked mackeral on one he soaked overnight in water.

I am the husband. The planks left no discernable taste (this is good because I flavored the fish with marinade), they can be used again if thoroughly soaked, and best of all the fish did not stick to the grill and slid easily off the plank after cooking.

I like using these cooking planks and will grill shrimp on them next.

I'm an avid griller but had not tried plank grilling before. I purchased these to try it out. I found a great tilapia recipe which turned out wonderfully. I have used these planks twice now for the same recipe and expect to get one or two more uses out of them. I really loved the cedar smell while cooking. I've just ordered two more sets. These seem to be a great value for the price and they fit my Weber Summit Gold D grill just perfectly from front to back thus allowing either direct or indirect cooking.

These steel heat plates appear to be the same as what originally came with our grill in both appearance and thickness. After a summer grilling season, the plates show use but little wear and only a bit of rust at the edges. Would definitely order again.

As expected the part was a direct replacement for the rusted out ones on my Kenmore grill. The new parts seem to be much heavier construction and I have no doubt they will last as long as the OEM ones, likely longer.

Pricing was much better than the OEM and the company was great at getting my order to me promptly.

Discount Style Asia HW4110 Chefs Basics Select 7-Piece BBQ Set with Apron

Customer Ratings:

The apron looks deceivingly normal sized in the photo to me so I bought this item as the price was right. I don't think I'm a fat guy... I am fairly average/big (6' 200 lbs) but this apron makes me feel like a fat kid because it doesn't fit around my 36" waste! That being said the tools that came with it are of fair enough quality for it to be worth the price except the oven mit which is basically a piece of cotton. Pretty good gift for a younger person though if you want to get them their first apron and grill kit.

I bought this as a Father's Day gift and it didn't disappoint. The apron is fairly heavy duty and the pockets are secure. The grilling utensils are decent quality and the oven mitt was nicer than another review had led me to believe. The salt and pepper shakers are smallish, but that's a minor quibble. My grandson enjoyed giving this to his father, and his father really liked it. The tools alone are worth the price, the apron and mitt are just bonuses!

Best Deals for Style Asia HW4110 Chefs Basics Select 7-Piece BBQ Set with Apron

This apron set is all you really need for your backyard grilling. Tools and apron are good quality. Oven mitt is a bit thin though. One great thing about this apron set is that it can be folded (with the tools still in it) and snapped into a compact bundle for easy storage.

Honest reviews on Style Asia HW4110 Chefs Basics Select 7-Piece BBQ Set with Apron

I would NOT buy this for someone as the ultimate set of grilling utensils. However, it is cheap and is a funny sort of 'gag gift' for any guy who loves to grill. The cord that holds it in place around the guys waist is laughable. We couldn't even get it around my brother in law (which was hilarious and made the gift even better for my purposes although he is not what I would consider fat by any means). The oven mit is a joke if you get it near anything even lukewarm it'll probably catch on fire. Might want to just throw that away right when you get it. Cute and potentially funny gift idea though.

Best Deals for Grill Brush - Set of 2 Stainless Steel Wire BBQ Brushes 12"

I tried my new grill brushes out last weekend and was really happy with them. I had occasion to use them on a friend's grill before I even used them on my own. My friend's grill looked like a tough task; he was busy with other prep work so I decided to do him a favor and inaugurate my zbi long brush. Really pleased with how well the baked-on bits came off. The two lengths of brushes seem to complement each other really well. Usually I hate trying to get at the tight places, but the short brush did a good job. I don't bbq as much as some people I know but now I'm glad I have these. People that bbq a lot, well it's a no-brainer to get quality brushes like this pair.

Honest reviews on Grill Brush - Set of 2 Stainless Steel Wire BBQ Brushes 12"

I purchased these grill brushes a month or so back and have to say these are the best grill brushes I've ever owned. I own a Weber Kettle as our family really enjoys the full BBQ flavor to our meats. The process was simple, I started my fire and got a bowl of water to clean the grill. I went outside, placed the grill across the heat, waited a couple of minutes and dipped the 21" brush in the water and started moving the brush back and forth. The caked on grease and dry meat particles fell right off the grill. It took very little effort in a back and forth motion to completely clean my grill.

After the grill was clean, I dipped the brush back in the water, responded back into my house and washed the brush while it was still hot with a mild soapy detergent and the brush was clean with hardly no work at all. I have to admit, this was one of the simplest grill cleanings I've ever experience in all my years of BBQing. With the long handle, my hand didn't even get hot. Usually the fire in the Weber Kettle is really hot and singes the hairs on my arm. Never again, as this brush kept my arm safely away from the heat, saving my arm from the usual burning while cleaning the grill or getting some of my wives oven mitts to cover my hands.

Once I finished the cleaning of the grill, I cooked our dinner and man did it taste good. I never noticed how dirty the grill stayed before I used these grill brushes. I noticed when using them that it cleaned all those hard to reach spots on the grill very easily. I guess that had something to do with the way the meat just tasted better after getting the grill thoroughly clean.

You also receive a shorter handy 12" brush you could use to clean the ends of a grill, a hibachi type grill or just about any other type of quick grill cleanups you can think of. This was a real bonus to the order. Most grill brushes cost more than this neat pair did and offer way less quality than these brushes. The brushes I received are stainless steel and have a thick hard handle and nice straps to hang the brushes when they are not in use.

So, I highly recommend the grill brush set by ZBI Products for anyone that enjoys cooking on the grill. Oh, and get this, if you order right now, you get a full one year guarantee on these brushes. The sales page does say while it lasts, so I'd recommend getting them now. You'll still be covered for next spring and summer.

This is an amazing tool for summer backyard BBQ. I ordered this product for my friend so we can enjoy the great outdoor. The product came in with two brushes. One with long handle and another with short handle. So pick your choice for your cleaning chore after (or before) the BBQ fun time. The products are very sturdy. Brush heads are made of steel so they can do the cleaning job for even the dirtiest grill.

This is a must-have tool if you want to enjoy the great American outdoor BBQ with family and friends. Just order one for yourself and you'll know what I mean.

I have the light installed on the handle of a Primo XL Oval Ceramic grill. This product provides an ample amount of light for this grill.

C-clamp could be a bit more stiff. If the manufacturer would have molded in some small gussets inside the corners, I think it would improve the strength. It spreads open when clamped and if overtightened, it may actually break. Fortunately it clamps with enough power to hold it in place without too much stress on the "C".

The only problem that I could foresee if is the lid was left open with a really hot fire, it could damage the light because the light is just about centered over the fire when the grill is opened. Of course since we don't cook with the lid open in the ceramic world, I think it will be OK. It is worth mentioning that the instructions DO say not to install directly above fire. But to me, since it is designed to be installed on a grill handle, I don't see how that can be avoided on most any grill which it would be installed.

The instructions do say that extreme weather conditions may damage the unit and they recommend storing inside when not in use. Even so, I would like to see a gasket on the battery cover as it is not uncommon for me to cook while it is raining. I don't know if water will get in, but just to be safe, I think I will put some silicone on it just to be safe. I don't know if the switch is sealed though.

I just recieved this item for Christmas and was really excited.

I have tried other products endoresed by Steven Raichlen and have been impressed.

The battery cover is material is too thin to keep the batteries in contact, because it bows out

It only works if I press on the the center of the battery cover.

I found that if I put some foil between two of the batteries I could get it to work.

Best Deals for Steven Raichlen Best of Barbecue 3-Head LED Grill Light

This product has 3 powerful lights and is great at illuminating the grill surface but unfortunately the c-clamp is too weak to keep it clamped on our grill handle. Think because the plastic material flexes. Maybe if it had metal clamps it would be stronger.

Honest reviews on Steven Raichlen Best of Barbecue 3-Head LED Grill Light

I thought this would be so great... i was wrong. Positioning it on the handle puts it directly over the flames when you are using it... something they tell you NOT to do in the instructions. The tightening mechanism is not well made and does not work well at all. The product itself is poorly made and mine quit working completely after only a few uses. (I ended up buying a much less expensive bbq light from Home Depot that has magnets to sit on the the side table area and has a gooseneck to position the light on your cooking surface a much better design option.) I threw this one away.

I have owned this 'cooking surface' thermometer for a couple of years. I use it to figure out whether the grill is hot enough to put the food on but I don't usually leave it on the grill for extended periods. I take it off when I put the food on. I also use it to calibrate my electric skillet and the surface of pans on my electric stove. If you leave this on your grill forever, all the time, even while the food is cooking, it probably won't last as long as mine has lasted.

Gee now that I'm doing this review, I remember how much I really like this thermometer. I'll be ordering another as a gift for a new cook who could use one.

Click Here For Most Helpful Customer Reviews >>

When I received my new KitchenAid Grill this year, I realized that it did not have a thermometer built into the cover. This grill surface thermometer helps to overcome this limitation. The grill cranks out 67,000 BTUs and this thermometer can "almost" handle it. It reports up to 700 degrees, and I easily exceed its reporting range. It still works, even after these extreme temperatures. However, the red dye that is on its face is now a brown color, perhaps it was can designed for this type of heat.

I leave it on the grill all the time. Its face is splashed with the juices from the steaks, and it is still working. It also has condensation inside the face after a cold day, but it still is working.

I need to point out that I used it less than a dozen times over the last 1 month. This is a short-term review.

**************************************************

June 2006 Update -

The thermometer has lost its color from the heat of the grill. It is filled with condensation. The face is so discolored that it can not be read. I am disappointed that it only lasted about 5 months, and now it goes in the trash.

Best Deals for OvenChek Cooking Surface Thermometer

I use it in my charbroil electric smoker. I keep it right on the cooking grate, while my food is smoking. I have to wipe it down after each use, to keep the smoke from building up on the unit, but that's to be expected.

Honest reviews on OvenChek Cooking Surface Thermometer

The overall build quality seems great, but just after a couple of uses the glass and the numbers started to become unreadable. It seems that it cannot survive the high heat that my grill is generating (~600 degrees).

Great idea. I was excited to get this thermometer. I put it in an empty frying pan with the gas on high. After four minutes, the Teflon started gassing, indicating it was over 550F, but the thermometer only said 160F. Tested it in boiling water by putting the bottom only in the water, reading was accurate. then put it on the sink. After five minutes, the reading had dropped from 208F (our elevation is 3200 feet) to 150F. The problem is that this thing takes forever to change its reading. It is the slowest thermometer that I have ever seen. If I had waited for this thing to register 400F, my $40 pan would likely have melted. Great idea, useless product. Save your money.
