Well all i can say is ANOTHER PIECE OF OVERPRICED JUNK, Got it 2 weeks ago, assembled it and haven't used it yet, but its already starting to rust, the grills are listed as stainless steel , last time i checked stainless steel does not rust, they are not stainless but simply silver painted metal. rust is also starting to show on those supposedly stainless steel handles, let me tell you there is no stainless steel on this BBQ, its just regular steel that has been painted. ( and very cheaply i might add ) So with that said the manufacturer or distributor lied in the description, NOT WORTH THE PRICE. I should of bought what i had in the past a WEBER

The grill is great. It's almost like a real bbq lover designed this thing. The design spares us of that wasteful, bulky, metallic stuff others offer. Having said that, it still needs some improvement:

The height adjustment apparatus can use some limits. You can adjust the height so low that it doesn't rotate any more.

The smaller grill has at least one hook that seem to hang right over the cutting board or grill handle making it pretty much useless.

The cutting boards haven't been finished so the write up says that they aught to be removed when not in use. I don't know about you but I don't want to have to store two pretty heavy and large cutting boards somewhere off the grill. That adds unnecessary work.

Otherwise, great piece.

I used this product one time and placed it on my kitchen counter. The next morning there was liquid on the counter under the brush. The batteries had burst and battery acid was leaking out discoloring my new quartz counter top. We have had to clean everything that may have been on the counter as my 2 year old plays in this area as we prepare her breakfast. She easily could have touched the liquid and then placed her hand in her mouth or eyes. This is a dangerous product and should not sold.

I BBQ several times a week and have learned the importance of reliable equipment, especially when friends are over. I bought the Maverick RediFork Pro because it has lots of cool features such as a backlit LCD display and "headlight" for nighttime grilling. Unfortunately, my results with the Maverick were disastrous. After a couple of embarrassing cook-outs and expensive "mis-steaks", I decided to perform some controlled tests on it and similar forks from CDN, BarbequePro, and TruCook. In addition to the forks, I also tested a simple single-probe digital thermometer, the Taylor #806 Weekend Warrior.

Using hot water, a control thermometer, a stopwatch, and fresh batteries in each unit, I tested for speed and accuracy. My results: the Maverick RediFork Pro was the slowest, most inaccurate, most expensive, and most confusing to use of all units tested. The Maverick took an agonizingly-long 110-120 seconds before its display settled on a temperature. Worse yet, it read under the actual temperature by 25-35 degrees; the reason my steaks were overcooked. Just to make sure I did not have a defective unit, I bought another Maverick RediFork Pro but the test results were identical.

For many reasons, an accurate digital thermometer reading (i.e. +/2 degrees) shouldn't take more than a few seconds. Therefore, the Maverick RediFork Pro is deemed completely unacceptable in my testing. The other forks were not much better and the dirt-simple Taylor 806 was the only product to take an accurate reading in under 10 seconds. Conclusion: Keep it simple with a digital probe; avoid gimmick-laden digital BBQ forks.

This is a great tool for the grill. It is the easiest one to use I have found. The readout is a grid which tells you how done any piece of meat is based on the temp this allows you to check different things on the grill (i.e. chicken and beef) without having to reprogram the fork. Plus the readout is backlit and it has a light to help when grillin at night. The only negative is that it is not water resistant so you have to be careful washing it. I got water in mine when washing it one time, and now it is somewhat temperamental sometimes when checking the temp on the grill, it goes blank, and I have to pull out my old one to get a reading. I still recommend this one just be careful when cleaning it!!

I bought this hoping it would give fast & accurate readings. Well it does give fast readings, but it is often wrong (up to 10 degrees). And yes I had the tip copper tip all the way inside the meat so none of it was showing. I have three OTHER digital thermometers they all read the same. The RediFork is the only one off the mark. The small hand held TruTemp thermometer I have takes too long to reach actual temp. I lose to much heat out my BBQ waiting for it to read. So I thought the RediFork would be the answer. It is not. And there are other things about the RediFork I don't like. The screen is filled with too many symbols. The most important number (the temp) is too small. They should get rid of the symbols and make the Temp number bigger. The handle of the Fork is too big as well. I have already returned the item.

are perfect, not over cooked and not raw either. I love BBQ-ing and this fork takes all the guess work out if it. Just poke it in the steak wait till it beeps, then glance down and look at the "EZ to READ" display".

I did receive the Old Smokey Grill, pot to start fire and legs, which I believe was shipped from factory in TX. Which is just what I wanted.

When these items arrived... I had just returned from hospital following knee replacement. I wasn't able to use my Old Smokey for a few months. Later I checked all items and didn't have the Replacement Grate. I had so many problems with my knee recovery... still don't know what happened to the Grate. Probably too late to complain at this point.

It worls great, I wish I had bought one way before now. It keeps the coals higher off the bottom so be aware of the heat closer to your grate.

I modified this stainless burner to replace a completely disintegrated rusty original. I could not get a direct replacement, so had to take the gas tubes and feet from the original and install them on this one. Modification was easy and now the grill works like it did when new. And because it is stainless it will not rust out like the original. This was a very cost effective solution.

Just as described. The light doesn't work, but that's no biggy. It comes charged, and it zaps them quick. I banged the racket once or twice in my swinging it around (the bulb wasn't working before then), but it is of strong enough construction that it just keeps on zapping. I highly recommend it!

Update: Okay-it pays to read. The light was always working...when I turned it on! I've used the Zap everyday since it arrived, and I've overswung and smacked a few things besides the flies--it just keeps on zapping. If you need to take out your frustrations on flying insects, get a Zap Racket--it's cheaper than therapy!

After trying other bug zappers, I have to say that this one is by far the best. I bought a few others that just didn't work as well because they wouldn't hold a charge or they were just too fragile and made of crappy plastic. They shattered and broke easily if you accidentally whacked a chair or something at the end of your swing. This one is also plastic, but much more durable. Also this one only requires the press of one button while some of the others require you to press two. I plan on purchasing a few more rackets for the upcoming season so that my friends can zap some bugs too. It seems everyone fights over this thing when they come over! It's definitely fun to use!

This is only the second electric swatter I have used, but my friend has a 9 dollar swatter that works just as good. I like being able to charge this swatter, but my friend's swatter last a long time on batteries and trust me, we have gone to war with gnats and mosquitoes. My zap racket also zaps as if you are swatting a fly without coming in contact with anything. All negatives aside, I did kill a wasp using this swatter. This thing is the real deal!

Bought the Zap Racket after two failed attemps with the cheaper competitors.

Comes with plenty off "juice" to take on the bugs in East Tennessee!

I used this last week @ a cook out and not only did we eliminate the bug problem, we kept the kids entertained!

I wanted to replace the flame deflectors in my hybrid gas/charcoal grill to use lava rocks and this item was the closest in width and length. I had to cut the rack down to size for use. The item served its purpose, but after about a month, this product has proven to be quite an inferior product. The item is rusting badly sitting inside my grill. My grill is always covered when not in use with a multi-layered waterproof and weatherproof canvas cover. I'm surprised other buyers of this product in a different size didn't comment on this. I don't think it should be something that is acceptable because the grate will continue to deteriorate and require another replacement. I wish I had known about the inferiority of the product so I could avoid purchasing the item. Since I trimmed it already, I don't think I can return the product.

While not advertised as such this is a perfect replacement grate for my Brinkman grill. I had to cut 2 small grooves in the front of the grill to allow it to lay perfectly flat which took all of 5 minutes and it was ready to go at less than half the price of the advertised grates.

I had owned a combination smoker. It was a stainless steal tower that had a propane burner in the bottom and a disk for charcoal above that and a water tray and a pair of steel meat racks above all of the burner stuff. It is a nice unit. It is not a smoker unit. It was sold as a smoker unit. You could not control the temp enough to slow cook or smoke a piece of meat slowly without a lot of supervision. I mean a lot of supervision. The temp would go up and down. What I love about the Big Chief is that it is a smoker. I can put any product in it I want to smoke and not worry about over cooking. I smoke hams, turkey etc in the Big Chief and then bring them into the kitchen oven to bake. I have control. I control the amount of smoke, I control the baking.

The Big Chief has been very predictable for jerky and for sausages. We are getting spoiled by the summer sausage done in the Big Chief.

I would guess that anyone reading this testimonial has spent some bucks on cookers and so called smokers. I tell you this is the real deal. It works. It is priced under all the others. You will be thrilled with the control you have to smoke foods.

The smoker works pretty well. My only criticism would be how it is put together. It definetly is more complicated than I like especially compared to others we have seen. After buying this we saw another one at Lowes that just looked more professionally put together with a simple door that you open on hinges for even less money. It works for smoking and the products are great, it just feels like putting together an erector set to get the door back on and the shelves in. The door sort of slides off and you have to put it somewhere. You also can wrap it up in a heat shield which again is another awkward piece to have to do something with between batches.

It is as pictured, I guess I'll chaulk this up to a lesson learned in buying my first smoker. Overall enjoying the smoker but will probably buy a different one soon that's a bit easier to set up.

This is a great smoker if you are going to be smoking Sausage, Chicken, Jerky, Fish, etc... but if you are going to be smoking a Pork Shoulder, it doesnt get quite hot enough, I have had to add a additional element for it to get up to 225, had I known that it didnt get nearly hot enough, I would have gone a different route. For the weekend Jerky maker, its great, for the professional cook that wants to bang out some BBQ and not think about the Saturday night dinner rush, find a old fridge or metal trash can and build it yourself...

Well, I'd have to say this product does do what it was design to do it cooks eggs, bacon, and pancakes fine. But, there is a major design flaw as far as I'm concerned. When you cook something with lots of grease (e.g. bacon), the grease just runs off the sides through the holes (visible in the picture) into the body of the grill with the burners are. It then ignites creating a turbo cook mode! I was able to turn the gas off completely and cook the entire meal off bacon fat. As 'green-friendly' as this maybe, I really didn't care for the approach. What a MESS to clean up!

If you only plan to cook eggs or panacakes, it works fine. Just make sure you have it PERFECTLY level. I lost an entire egg through one of the side holes due to a little slant. You can imagine what my stove looked like after this breakfast ;-)

We just bought the Road Trip Grill to add to our camping arsonal. We love it, but in attempting to use the griddle accessory, we found a major design flaw. It has slot-like holes all around the inside of the lip. So when the description says "great for bacon", I would not reccomend that unless you like grease fires in the morning with your eggs. We couldn't figure out why it was made this way, but I probably won't be using it for that again.

This is a must have for camping. We don't eat bacon, so haven't had the problems of other users. We have used it for eggs and pancakes, but my favorite is grilled ham and cheese sandwiches on an overcast beach day. Pam spray makes clean up as easy as wiping it down with a paper towel. These are light and easy to store, we bought the RoadTrip rolling case and the griddles can be stored in the grill when you use the velcro straps to hold the grill closed. I store the heavier grills in the inside compartments of the case and everything is kept together.

Some people have expressed problems with using the griddle plate for bacon. We used an original blue Roadtrip which had water in the grease catcher. We learned to line the pan with tinfoil before adding the water to make cleanup easier. We cooked literally a pound of bacon at a time without fire problems with water in the lined pan.

We now have a red RoadTrip LXE which isn't designed for water in the pan. We also line this pan with tinfoil for cleaning purpose. When we use the griddle plate for bacon we line the LXE pan with tinfoil and don't punch the drain hole through. We then add water to the lined pan and cook our bacon. Later when everything is cooled down we put a can under the drain hole and punch the tinfoil through to drain the water from the pan. No problems yet with flame ups when we use this method. FWIW. AP
