This is not a heavy duty item. However, it does have a convenient design to fold up relatively flat to stick in a car trunk or back of an SUV which makes it great for tailgatilng at concerts or sporting events. I also like the height of the grill, you don't have to get down on your knees cooking on a hibachi on the ground, or bring some other table for your grill. I repeat, excellant design for tailgating, which is what I bought it for.

i use this grill for all my tail gating games. i have literally cooked everything on this thing and have had no problems. I love that it can be folded and does not take up any space. and the best part is when i am done cooking is all i have to do is take the grill off grab it by the handle and dump the charcoal. it makes like so much easier!

After reading an article about a teenager undergoing surgery to remove a wire ingested in his food from a wire BBQ brush, I found this alternative. We grill several times a week during the summer, so I decided not to place anyone I love at risk. The Woody Grill Scraper works great! It was easy to create the grooves to conform to our grill, and it does the job. No worries, and it's all natural!

does not clean the sides of the grill grate. I used a 3 corner file to put grooves in the scraper so it would conform to the configuration of the grate.

I just moved into my Motorhome and needed a grill. I travel alone so a small grill is what I wanted. I tried a Smoky Joe but dealing with the ash was a mess on the road so I bought a Coleman gas grill which was nice but too heavy to lift in and out of the Motorhome as I traveled. Then I got a Napoleon Travel Q. It's perfect. It's light weight, sets up in seconds, heats uniformly, and is easy to clean.

I BBQ several times a week and have learned the importance of reliable equipment, especially when friends are over. I bought the Maverick RediFork Pro because it has lots of cool features such as a backlit LCD display and "headlight" for nighttime grilling. Unfortunately, my results with the Maverick were disastrous. After a couple of embarrassing cook-outs and expensive "mis-steaks", I decided to perform some controlled tests on it and similar forks from CDN, BarbequePro, and TruCook. In addition to the forks, I also tested a simple single-probe digital thermometer, the Taylor #806 Weekend Warrior.

Using hot water, a control thermometer, a stopwatch, and fresh batteries in each unit, I tested for speed and accuracy. My results: the Maverick RediFork Pro was the slowest, most inaccurate, most expensive, and most confusing to use of all units tested. The Maverick took an agonizingly-long 110-120 seconds before its display settled on a temperature. Worse yet, it read under the actual temperature by 25-35 degrees; the reason my steaks were overcooked. Just to make sure I did not have a defective unit, I bought another Maverick RediFork Pro but the test results were identical.

For many reasons, an accurate digital thermometer reading (i.e. +/2 degrees) shouldn't take more than a few seconds. Therefore, the Maverick RediFork Pro is deemed completely unacceptable in my testing. The other forks were not much better and the dirt-simple Taylor 806 was the only product to take an accurate reading in under 10 seconds. Conclusion: Keep it simple with a digital probe; avoid gimmick-laden digital BBQ forks.

This is a great tool for the grill. It is the easiest one to use I have found. The readout is a grid which tells you how done any piece of meat is based on the temp this allows you to check different things on the grill (i.e. chicken and beef) without having to reprogram the fork. Plus the readout is backlit and it has a light to help when grillin at night. The only negative is that it is not water resistant so you have to be careful washing it. I got water in mine when washing it one time, and now it is somewhat temperamental sometimes when checking the temp on the grill, it goes blank, and I have to pull out my old one to get a reading. I still recommend this one just be careful when cleaning it!!

Best Deals for Maverick RediFork Pro Rapid Read LCD Matrix Thermometer

I bought this hoping it would give fast & accurate readings. Well it does give fast readings, but it is often wrong (up to 10 degrees). And yes I had the tip copper tip all the way inside the meat so none of it was showing. I have three OTHER digital thermometers they all read the same. The RediFork is the only one off the mark. The small hand held TruTemp thermometer I have takes too long to reach actual temp. I lose to much heat out my BBQ waiting for it to read. So I thought the RediFork would be the answer. It is not. And there are other things about the RediFork I don't like. The screen is filled with too many symbols. The most important number (the temp) is too small. They should get rid of the symbols and make the Temp number bigger. The handle of the Fork is too big as well. I have already returned the item.

Honest reviews on Maverick RediFork Pro Rapid Read LCD Matrix Thermometer

Excellent fork. Temp reading is great .

But i have to give a 1 star because my wife still complains chicken is either over cooked or under cooked despite what the fork says. Amazon wouldn't let me return my wife.

I am a avid online shopper. I do a lot of research before making a purchase. If you are in the market for a great digital fork, stop shopping and just buy this one as you won't be disappointed. Now my steaks

are perfect, not over cooked and not raw either. I love BBQ-ing and this fork takes all the guess work out if it. Just poke it in the steak wait till it beeps, then glance down and look at the "EZ to READ" display".

If you like med.rare pull them off when it reads 131F.

This hose comes with dust caps on both ends. Both ends of the hose can be tightened by hand, so no tools are needed. It connects a bulk propane tank to an accessory that would normally use a disposable propane tank, like a small heater or grill. It appears to be made very well and works as advertised. It performed perfectly when I used it last weekend on a camping trip.

This hose is much higher quality than the Coleman model. It has true crimped fittings on the ends, like a high pressure hydraulic hose, the Coleman has a ring more like a hose clamp found on automotive heater hoses. Also the price was lower for this hose. In my opinion this is a better buy!

As I'm sure is the case with most people, I bought these for indirect cooking -you have great control of placement of briquettes when you're doing indirect cooking. When you're doing a turkey, you want to pile in the coals but insure they stay to the sides. For this, they work great.

For me, the surprising part is what a great aid they are for direct cooking. By placing them next to each other, you can intensify the heat source and actually raise (as a result of stacking up the briquettes in these) the level of heat source closer to the grill. A great addition when you have something you want to sear at the start of the grilling process.

I received the Weber Char-Basket Charcoal Fuel Holders for my birthday recently. I used them first to slow cook 3 racks of baby back ribs "low and slow". I have cooked ribs many of times and used the indirect method but with the Weber Char-Basket Charcoal Fuel Holders it was so much easier to keep the charcoal in one area of the grill and to drop off chunks of wood for smoking. What impressed me the most was how easy it was to maintain the temperature at 190-200 degrees. Sounds crazy but it was much easier with the baskets.

Last night I indirectly cooked 4 half chickens. Used the baskets again but didn't smoke the birds. After 60 minutes the birds were crisp and cooked to a perfect 180 degrees. I added my favorite bbq sauce on the chicken and moved the half chickens over the baskets to just crisp up the bottoms. My family loved the meal and I was very impressed again with how much easier it is to cook with theses baskets.

I would recommend these to my entire fellow Weber charcoal grill friends. A small purchase with big results! Weber is the very best!

Best Deals for Weber 7403 Char-Basket Charcoal Briquet Holders

These baskets make indirect-heat grilling very easy. They fit perfectly on either side of the Weber kettle with a drip tray in the middle, making perfect grilling of longer cooking foods, such as roasts and large pieces of meat, nearly foolproof. These and my Weber chimney starter are the grill accessories I use most often.

Honest reviews on Weber 7403 Char-Basket Charcoal Briquet Holders

The perfect answer for indirect cooking, no more coals rolling wherever they want. Use in conjuction with the hinged grill. This certainly make more sense than having to remove the entire grill. Coal baskets are large enough to hold plenty of coals and are vented to keep them hot while cooking.

Though I really didn't need this to create indirect heating, organizing the fire is pretty easy. I like being able to shake the ashes (cold, of course) into my ash can. The design makes it easy to dump the contents (partial to completely full) of the chimney starter into the baskets. Two things to improve the product:

1. Make one SLIGHTLY smaller so they nest in each other better

2. Not have sharp edges.

I use this fan for the baby stroller. It provides more than enough wind for my little girl, and it gets some of the best compliments from total strangers. They call it spoiled, then say they wish they had one.

I call it "no baby overheating" safety.

Great product!

I purchased 3 of these fans for use on my Maclaren double umbrella stroller. I was able to clip one fan on each side pole of the stroller & aim the fan toward each child's face and upper body. I attached the third fan to the handle bar pole (just where the handle bar padding ends) and angled that fan toward my face and upper body. They give off a good amount of air to cool the kids & the adult pushing the stroller. The fans are a little big, but they clip on the round poles with ease & the clips are very sturdy. The rubber pads on the clips are contoured so that they are designed to clip onto a round pole. Even though these fans are designed for use on a grill, these are the best fans for use on a stroller & I highly recommend the Maverick grill fan for anyone who wants to keep their kids cool in the stroller. Little fingers can get into the fan grill, about up to the first knuckle, but not enough to reach the fan blades. Because the fan is adjustable, you can always move it further away from your little one so he/she won't be able to reach it while buckled into the stroller and it will still blow enough air to reach your kid.

Review of GrillPro 00275 Cedar Wood Chips

GrillPro 00275 Cedar Wood Chips
Customer Ratings: 2.5 stars

Just received my cedar wood chips and was excited to try a new salmon recipe on the grill. Imagine my disappointment when I opened the bag to find it full of sawdust; and the largest pieces were but small slivers of wood -not chips in the least. Most wood chips I use run about 1" x 1/2" in size or thereabouts. Most of this bag was toothpick-sized shreds. I can't imagine these little slivers putting off much smoke at all. I think they confused wood shavings (often used in pet beds, for example) with wood chips. I wouldn't recommend this product nor the manufacturer. I ordered some mesquite wood chips from Weber in the same order and they were great -nice consistent sizing and very little if any dust.

I really didn't want much, I mean mulch. Just some cedar chips for my new smoker oven. Can't use 95 percent of what I received. It's mulch someone found somewhere and stuffed into a plastic bag. Really bad stuff. Guess I'll have to get my own chip making machine.

Best Deals for GrillPro 00275 Cedar Wood Chips

Theses chips are a great way to flavor food on the grill. Cedar planks go for at least $1 each and do not flavor the entire fish. Great price also.

Honest reviews on GrillPro 00275 Cedar Wood Chips

Chips are too small. The package is misleading in that I thought I was getting wood chunks according to the "window" on the bag. That window turned out to be a picture and the bottom is the real window.

No matter, I will use these as kitty litter instead.

I should have never bought this thermometer. There are plenty of negative reviews, and I should have taken the time to research. First use out of the box started off fine, but within minutes the temperature reading begin climbing at an odd rate. Within a couple hours, it was telling me the meat was 421 degrees (it woudl have kept going higher but I turned it off in disgust). My smoker maxes out at 275 degrees, and I only had it set at 225 when I was given this reading. I'm sending it back to CHEFScatalog.com, and losing $10.50 to their return policy for restocking fees. I won't order from CHEFScatalog.com any more, or "MR BBQ" anything. Burn me once.....

Click Here For Most Helpful Customer Reviews >>

The first time I tried to use the themometer it started to work correctly and then, about 15 minutes into cooking, the unit beeped and displayed HH for the temperature. The little booklet gave no information on this malfunction, the HH display. Later I learned that this possibly meant the probe had burned out, but, the probe was well away from the flames, the grill lid was on somewhat subduing the fire, fire was not overly hot, cable wasn't pinched or stressed. The unit has no manufacture ID on it, always a bad sign. Booklet also shows no manufacture, no phone number. The cable on the unit, which sits by grill, was a little short for reaching into the grill but I had a table at hand to place the unit on. The unit supposedly gives you options for cooking rare, medium rare, medium and well done but those options are not all available for certain types of meat, none for chicken. The temperature for white meat chicken should be 160 but if you select chicken on the unit it defaults to 180. Usually 175 is the done temperature for dark meat. Fortunately you can dial the unit back to 160 from the 180 but you do it one degree at a time. If you turn off the unit and turn it back on it reverts to the 180. Too bad the unit failed on the first use.

I own two of these and for the first month or so they both worked fine. After that neither one works, I would not recommend this product to anyone.Thay have no manufacturers label or any way of getting in contact with the manufacture. I gave this one star as there is no lower rating.

Honest reviews on Mr. Bar-B-Q Remote Digital Meat Temperature Gauge

I bought this several years ago when it was sold under a different name ("Smart BBQ"). They've reorganized the buttons slightly, but the remote and sending, or base, units appear to be identical otherwise.

The first couple of times I used it, it worked well, although you've got to be sure there's a "line of sight" between the transmitter (the little stand it sits in) and the gauge. Like so many electronic devices, I got the impression whoever wrote the instructions had never actually seen or used the thermometer. There's no way of knowing from the read-out when it last received a temp reading from the base unit, although at the time it sends a change of temp, it shows a little icon for a radio tower.

Unfortunately, after a couple of uses, the thing became very erratic. One day it would work well, the next day the temperatures it reported were ridiculous--it would, for example, say meat you had just placed on the grill was 350 degrees. I replaced the batteries, to no avail. (There are several batteries, since they're in both the remote and the base.) Some reviews here for other digital thermometers suggested the probe could be faulty, so I tried the probe from another thermometer--it didn't make any difference.

My brother has this kind of device from another manufacturer and says it works well. This one, not so much.

Fiesta 24025 Propane Grill, 240 Square Inch
Customer Ratings: 4 stars

This grill is exactly what I was looking for when our 15 year old small gas grill died. That one was a hand-me-down from the neighbors when they upgraded to a shiny new stainless grill. It was a Kenmore with aluminum housing (base and lid). It was virtually indestructible but after two burner replacements and burning through a ceramic coated grill, it was time to get a new one. The thing is I liked the small size and the fact that I could be up and grilling in minutes. For a quick lunch of burgers and hot dogs for the five of us, you can't beat this setup. We have massive big grill too, but that rarely gets used unless we have a crowd over. This grill is an almost perfect replacement of the old one.

Assembly was easy (if one follows the directions) and actually fun for the kids since they got to help put it all together. We ran into one small issue when one of the threaded studs snapped off the logo casting. This logo is cast from some kind of cheap pot metal like the old toy cars used to be (I guess it's some kind of zinc alloy) and the stud just snapped off even though I was careful not to torque the nut too much. As it turns out one screw is enough to hold it on but I wonder how long that will last. Overall not a big deal, just a small annoyance.

I put ceramic briquettes over/around the burner cover. This is another advantage of the aluminum cast base. It is made really deep so that there is room for the briquettes under the grill. Other cheap grills I've looked at do not have enough room. Plus the base and lid on those are usually made out of stamped steel and rust away in a couple of seasons. This one should be around for a long time.

The controls are simple and so far work just fine. The piezoelectric ignition also functions well. One gripe I have about the lid design is that they put some pretty big vent holes in the rear for some reason. I would prefer the grill lid without those holes. There are generous enough gaps around for venting and the idea about grilling is to keep the heat in, not let it out. I covered up those holes because I'd hate to use up my propane bottle to heat the universe at large. I just want to heat the inside of the grill.

The other minor point is that the old one had a thermometer. Even for an inexpensive unit like this it would be nice to have a built in thermometer in the lid. Not really a strike against the grill because the picture clearly shows there is no gauge on the lid and it's not listed as a feature, so I knew what I was getting, it's just a "would be nice" item. Then again, I haven't really missed the thermometer since I started using this grill. I just go by feel and experience with the control settings.

Overall I'm glad to have purchased this grill and already cooked some killer burgers on it. :-)

TLDR:

Pros: Great value for the money

Small but capable grill

Aluminum base and lid will last a long time

Has space for ceramic briquettes

Cons:

Cast logo is flimsy and may break during install

Lid has large vent holes in the back for some reason (cover them up and it's good to go)

This is my second fiesta grill and I just got rid of the one I had before, it was 17 years old. It was still working, I was just embarrased to have it on the deck as I did not cover it in winter so it looked a little ugly. I love my second fiesta even more, and i bought a cover this time. It is easy to assemble, heats up quickly and gets very hot, not like some webers I have had. It really is a steal for the price.

Best Deals for Fiesta 24025 Propane Grill, 240 Square Inch

Built well. The cast aluminum housing is great. Just the right size for 2 to 3 people. Easy to assemble.

Honest reviews on Fiesta 24025 Propane Grill, 240 Square Inch

Shopping for a grill is a real pain. You go to the big box stores and hardware stores and there are a bazillion models from 100 1500 dollars and they have 1 burner and 8 burners and side burners and smokers and spinners and rims and umbrellas and stone and chrome and a sidecar and a giraffe and you get confused and so you write down a few models and you go home and you look them up and the reviews say that every single one of them from 100 dollars to 1,000,000 dollars all suck.

So, if you're me, you just buy the cheap one because they all apparently break and rust and sneak in your house and kill you in your sleep.

This one is fine. I can easily turn the bottle on and off. There are 8 places to hang utensils. It lights reliably. There is fire. It doesn't heat incredibly evenly. I've successfully made meats from various animals upon it. I'm satisfied. My usually very-angry-while-assembling-anything partner put it together with minimal ruckus, so assembly was reasonable. It isn't fancy, so if having some sort of palatial yuppified deck is important to you, you clicked on the wrong page. You can actually move this one without the assistance of Chip from the club.

I'm happy with it. It is a grill that grills. No rust thus far, in use since May 2013, now July 2013.

Do not ever buy this grill. It only heats on one side, and that's if you can get it started. The hose assembly that came with the grill "sometimes" carries the gas to the grill, and the ignitor usually takes 20-30 pushes to ignite the gas... Pay more money and get something good.

I bought this water pan to be used in my 18.5" Weber Smokey Mountain. I have an older WSM that came with the dinky water pan that holds about 1 gallon of water, I believe it's the lid from a Weber Smokey Joe grill (their small kettle).

The original water pan really puts a blemish on the operating ability of the WSM as you constantly will be topping off the water in the pan every 3-4 hours. If you are doing a long cook such as a 12+ pound brisket this can be a bit of an annoyance.

Luckily, the Brinkmann part fits into the 18.5" WSM like it was designed specifically for it! Fits better than the original pan and holds double the amount of water.

The weber smokey mountain is a great smoker but the bowl is a bit too deep, making it difficult to add coals during cooking. This bowl fits perfectly and is slightly shallower so it solves that problem. This one isn't all that well made...uneven paint, etc...but that doesn't matter since it only has to hold water while cooking. I figure it may rust in a few years and I'll just buy another or use the original weber bowl.
