I ordered, received in perfect condition the ordered item. It was described as heavy-duty, weather-resistant, polyester, but the item is actually vinyl, and thin and light. I generally would just go to Lowes but since Lowes does not carry model 4000 grill, they do not have the cover. I saw the cover for the duo grill and it appears to be thicker material.

I don't want the thinner vinyl cover because it will last only one year or so, based on my experience in the past of similar material. I live in southern California where it is debatable whether I really need a thin vinyl cover to protect this heavy steel grill. Thankfully I got it from Amazon. This is the first time ever I had to return through Amazon and the return process is like a breath of fresh air.

The factory (Chargriller) customer service informed me that the newer covers are made with heavier material. They don't know when those will be available for model 4000 gas grill. I guess I will have to wait or just keep the grill exposed and clean often.

I never even opened the bag so I do not know if there is a string at the bottom to hold the cover from wind or not. I do hope the future ones will have it.

I purchased this grill cover in July of 2011 and used it outside for about 3 months. The color immediately faded within a few weeks of being out in the sun. I stored the grill with the cover on it in my garage over the winter. When I brought it back out in June 2012 it started falling apart, the fabric is shredded in some places and the seams are falling apart. If you are only looking for a grill cover for one summer then this would be great, but most consumers expect things to last longer than that. In total the cover was used outside for about 8 months total, and is useless at this point.

This grill cover works fine. My grill sits exposed on my deck, when we get windy weather the cover blows off the grill (it is not fitted in any way). I modified the cover by putting an elastic strap on the bottom to "close" the cover and still allow air flow. You could also just put some weights on the burner plates to keep it down, too. Would be a better product if it were fitted, however, the fix is fairly quick to make.

I bought one of these when I first bought my grill. Now maybe this one is different material or treatment. (at least I hope so) but the first one lasted less than two years and then literally fell apart. Now I am not gonna rate this one for issues with the first one I owned, but this one does not fit NEARLY as well. It's almost like they started making them "baggy style". Trust me the fit is not nearly as good as the picture. The first one I owned fit like a glove (just like the photo shows). Therefore I dropped it to four out of five stars.

So if this one starts to fade in less than six months like the first one did, you can believe I'm coming back to drop this review to 1 star.

I have an older 22" Weber Charcoal Grill. I needed a means to measure internal temperature for "Low and Slow" BBQ-ing. I thought about purchasing a new Weber Charcoal Grill that includes a lid thermometer but I just couldn't justify spending over $300 for a new grill when mine worked just fine. The T702BBQ Thermometer is a perfect size for a 22" Weber. The stem is about the same length as the Thermometer that comes with the new weber grills. You simply need to drill a 1/2" hole on the top of your lid to install this thermometer. I installed mine in the center near the Handle. After installing I smoked a 7lbs Pork Butt for 9-hours and was able to maintain a constant internal temperature between 225 and 250. I highly recommend this thermometer!

I don't write many reviews unless something is either really good or really bad. This thermometer fits into the really good category.

I ordered two of these Admetiors for use on my Char-Griller Smokin' Pro. When I received them, I submerged the probe on each into boling water. Both read 210 degrees. That was expected. Installing these gages required drilling a 1/2" hole in the smoker. Once installed, they were firmly attached by hand tightening the retaining bolt. That was nice. These two thermometers were in addition to the factory thermometer which is mounted on the top of the smoker rather than at grill-height. I installed both Admetior thermometers at grill height, one at either end of the smoker's top.

Where these thermometers really shine is when the sun goes down. They are indiglo green needles and numbers on a black face. Running the smoker for six hours often requires conntinuing into the evening after the sun goes down. With nothing more than a small amount of indirect light, these thermomters are easily readable. The factory thermomether is an aluminum needle and aluminum face with black numbers. Even with a flashlight, the factory thermometer must be studied to be read. After using the Admetiors, I now don't like the factory aluminum gage. There is no comparison between the readability of the Admetior Grill Smoke Thermometer and the factory aluminum gage. The Admetior has it hands down, no question about it.

I would reccomend the Admetior Grill Smoke Thermometer to anyone upgrading their factory thermometers on a smoker. It is a very worthwhile improvement.

I bought this for a smoker. To test it, I borrowed a high end digital probe thermometer and placed the probe in the smoker at the same point where this thermometer was. The Admetior thermometer read 40º to 100º below temperature as I monitored it for about an hour with the smoker at various temperatures. No matter how long I let it sit there, the needle would never rise to the correct temperature. I am returning this.

I thought I'd leave a simple tip for those of you who are thinking of buying one. This review is specifically for those who use a weber kettle grill. It works great for me but because I was uncertain of its 'weatherproofness' I just put the thermometer tip through one of the vent holes on my weber grill. I was also a little reluctant to drill a hole through the porcelin enameled lid. This naturally limits the air vent control from the top but you can always control the heat from the bottom as well. When your done grilling, let the thermometer cool off and wipe it down with a damp cloth and bring it inside. The other Amazon reviews seem to be accurate.

I bought this to use with my Camp Chef BBQ Grill box on my Camp Chef Stove. The thermometer comes with instructions written in English that had no grammatical errors, indicating to me that whoever wrote it, used English as a first language. The instructions were on how to calibrate the unit, basically by bringing a pot of water to a boil while the thermometer is in the water. As you know water boils at 212F. Much to my surprise the Camp Chef thermometer was dead on! The instructions say to note what the dial reads in relation to the boiling water, so you can add or subtract whatever degrees if your dial is off. I don't know if I was lucky or not, but I was very happy. I use the thermometer while cooking outdoors and I really like it. Stainless construction, seems well built.

i ordered this grill over one that was a 2 dollars cheaper thinking it was more convienent because it says WITH charcoal, and was rather disapponted when i recieved the package and it did not come with charcoal. in the middle of the winter it is almost impossable to find charcoal so after looking from store to store i gave up on my search and needless to say i purchased this for a once in a life time trip to see my favorite football team with the intent to tailgate (i only wanted something small bc there were only 3 of us) and i didnt get to tailgate bc i waisted money on this!!

I have used the pizza stone several times now and couldn't be happier pizza cooked on the grill is by far the best pizza I've ever had! I will never make another pizza in the oven ever again.

I am on a gluten free diet and prefer to make many breads, crusts, etc from scratch rather than buy the premade, frozen varieties. I found a recipe for gluten free pizza crust that I liked but it turned out a bit soggy in the oven. The same recipe cooked on the stone turns out perfectly crisp every time. Cooking time does seem to be a bit longer (compared to oven baking) but its well worth the wait.

I own the Patio Bistro grill and this accessory is perfect! I have never grilled pizza before and was excited to try. I was fortunate not to have any shipping problems with my order. To note: with my Char-Broil experience, the customer service is helpful with shipping malfunctions and willing to replace merchandise. One tip that I have discovered, based on stone knowledge and also experience: it is necessary to heat up the pizza stone with the grill. What I mean is that I will start the grill and immediately place a room temperature stone and pizza on the grill, rather than waiting for the grill to heat up and them place a pizza that has been in the refrigerator on the grill to cook. This should avoid cracking. Also stone should not be emerged in water. The best way that I have found to clean is to get it a little soapy and scrub off the extra food with little water. You can even dry it in the oven to make sure there is no water let to sit in the stone, which avoid cracking and prolongs the life of the stone. Overall I would recommend this product for anyone who wants to expand the use of their grill and is up for a bit of maintenance. It is worth it for the end result!

I have experience with Pampered Chef stones and had one for nearly 15 years, but broke it while moving across the country. After buying the bistro grill, which I adore, I got this stone. I grill pizzas routinely and thought I'd try their stone. To my disappointment, it broke in half after just four weeks. Amazon, as always, stood behind it and gave me an instant refund as well as free return shipping, so I'm okay with the experience. The Savu smoker bags (alder) do a great job grilling/smoking fish, salmon filets in particular. Preparation is simple, some (lime-flavoured) olive oil and honey on the fish, into the bag, and onto the grill. Tasty and moist. I still prefer salmon done on a cedar plank (on the grill), but this is a close second. And cleanup is a breeze. Haven't tried meat yet with the alder bags ... and haven't tried the bags yet in the oven.

I was first introduced to this at a Finnish dinner party, and was given a bag by the hostess to take home and try for myself. You literally just put the seasoned raw fish (or meat, seafood or vegetables) into the large foil pouch and fold over the end to close. That's it. You can cook over the BBQ or put in the oven. They puff up like a Jiffy Pop bag, and take only 30 or so minutes depending upon what you are cooking. The food takes FANTASTIC, with a light smoke flavor. I was taught to put in a couple of sugar cubes too, and that gives the finished product a little brown color.

These are a great item, and hard to find in stores. When you do, they are no way this cheap. You can't beat the price, and you will not regret your purchase.

I have used these bag's before, but haven't been able to find them recently. I love cooking ribs in them. I put a layer of onions on the bottom, put the ribs in (I have rib rub on them for about 24 hrs before I begin), fold the bag and cook on a baking sheet for about 8 hours at 200 degree's. The ribs are juicy and tender!!!

I love these bags. They allow me to pre-cook dry ribs before a large party, allow ribs to sit in bag to reabsorb juices and then just throw on the grill for a few minutes with some slathered on sauce. Guests always rave. And no clean up---the bags just go in the garbage.

I have one of these huge stainless steel gas grills from Kenmore. Thing will probably last forever, but the weak link is these burners. They are cast iron and they rot out after about 2 years. The burners have been going up in price at Sears every year. This year when I called they wanted $75 per burner! I needed to replace 4 this year so that would be $300 + tax + shipping. These burners from amazon were roughly $100 and from what I can tell they are the same identical burners. Got them relatively quickly. Nice deal!

Not sure why Amazon search takes you to the wrong burner for the Kenmore 141.16681 4 Burner grill but this item fits and works correctly as the replacement part for the 141.16681 Grill.

My wallet was crying tears having to pay to replace these in my grill. I used a whole bottle of CLR to try to clear the rust from my 8 year old Kenmore burners and got them back to about 80% and was going to be happy with that until I found these. Then my wallet said that I could buy all 4 burners from Music City Metals for less than 1 burner from Sears.

So I bought 1 burner to make sure it would fit and work the same. And it did. And I am so happy with my new burner and all the money I saved.

Considering the Sears buying option is 420% more than the same item Music City Metals is a great deal being they ship fast and it is the same item.

By same there is about a 1/16 to 1/32 of an inch difference in length of the top oval part but that could be from the sand casting and does not affect burning of the gas.

Best surprise was that the Music City Metals product even includes the "Cotter" pin to lock it in place too.

Did I mention they shipped fast?

I bought this grill last year, and it worked great for a while. It was easy to assemble, and seemed to be high quality parts (thick metal, nice hardware, etc.). I also loved the interchangeable grills and making pizza on the grill. Everything seemed great. However...

About 2 months in, the gas regulator began to leak. I called STOK and got a very friendly technician who shipped out a replacement assembly. At the time, STOK only shipped the entire burner and regulator assembly, which must have been what the other reviewer referred too replacing the whole thing would require dismantling a large part of the grill. The Tech very helpfully told me to take regulator part off the whole assembly, and only replace that, which worked out fine. My only complaint at the time was that it took about 6 weeks the heart of the summer to get the part. The grill once again worked fine for the rest of the fall, and several times this spring. However...

Last week the grill would only get up to 250 degrees, no matter what I did. The next time I used it, it was fine. Then yesterday it sprang a leak AGAIN, same as last year. I read up and found out that the failure to heat up last week was a symptom of the regulator failing again. I called STOK and learned there is a recall on the regulator for all the grills made last summer (though it is almost impossible to find this info on the STOK website). While they will replace it (again) for free, they estimate if will take another 3 weeks (10 days to pick up my old regulator, and a week or more to return a new one).

IF (repeat IF) they have solved the regulator problem, then this will be a very nice grill it has a lot of nice features, and makes for great grilling, but the stupid regulator problem has ruined an otherwise excellent experience.

easily assembled by myself, I asked for my wife's help for 30 seconds to mount the top half on the body. No problems, excellent instructions and hardware.

Lights easily, cooks well, and the insert pieces are going to be fun. It comes with pizza stone, griddle and veggie basket, with the clamp to remove them off the grill. Everything stores down inside the body, clever.

Will recommend, could be heavier gauge steel, but i will absolutely use the rain cover.

So I have had this grill for about 2 weeks now and have used it A LOT! There are pros and cons to it...like anything...

Pros:

+Looks

+Heats up quick

+Has changeable grates

+Easy to assemble

Cons:

-Side tables get very hot when grilling-not entire area but enough to where if you are not careful you will get burned, if you have a child(ren) you may want to keep looking. Basically from what I can tell this is due to the cut outs on the sides of the hood. That seems to be the area directly above the hottest part of the table/shelves.

-Not sure why but my left burner likes to kick into what I like to call Jet mode. It will be cooking and all of a sudden it will sound like it is getting ready to take off. It will happen for a few moments then back to normal. At first I was blaming the wind but it happens on calm days too. I looked inside and it is clean so it can't be a blockage...I am stumped.

-When they say stay at least 3' away from the back they are not kidding. I happened to walk past it and WOW, I borderline thought I was gonna catch on fire. I am not sure if it is the way the hood is designed or what but it pushes out the excess heat straight back, so stay away and do not put it up against your house or you may need to call the local FD.

-There are no side burner(s).

+/-On Stoks Facebook page they say there are coming out with a natural gas conversion kit, it is even here on Amazon but it is not shipping yet. A bit concerning as they promised it would be out by Memorial day 2013.

Bottom line:

The grill looks good, cooks good but if you have kids, not counting husbands...well...maybe, you may end up needing some burn spray. If I had to do it again, I would probably pass, shame as every time I walk by I think that is one darn nice looking grill!

Bought on Amazon for the 4th of July. I read the negative reviews and knew to order a backup regulator in case my model arrived with one of the faulty ones it did so I will contact STOK for a replacement but the backup one I ordered in advance works great. Grilled on the STOK 2 hours after unpack, clean, and setup. If anyone is having temp issue where the grill wont go past 250 degs it is because the Propane tanks made after 2000 come with a safety mechanism that will limit the flow of propane to 1/10 normal if connected and turned on too fast or if a leak is detected. The instructions for the STOK explain this and explain how to reset the tank (takes 30 min/avg to reset) and you should be fine. My "backup" regulator was not even $20 so I am happy as can be with my product and will be grillin all week! Burgers done, Hotdogs done, chicken done, kebabs done, vegetables done, next stop...pizza!

Absolutely do not buy this grill! Major fire hazzard and even when they figured out the defect in their grill...there was no resolution. Here is the long and short of it.

Moved to a new military post. Purchased this grill because we like the functions of changing the plates to cook different kinds of foods. Used it a few times...Burners would heat up properly about 50 percent of the time...Husband deployed for the year...i continued to spar witht he inconsistency of the heating mechanism until I heard the gas seeping out of the regulator. Once the burners ignited the gas leakage from the regulator would cease so I grilled a couple of times and it took me like 45 minutes to get a steak cooked. Seemed like a very dangerous situation so I discontinued using the grill until my husband got back for R&R so he could deal with it. We decided to take it back to Home Depot.. NO HELP THERE...they put us on the phone with Stok. We explained what was happening...they sent us out replacement parts... Well Husband just got back from his year...wanted to fix his grill to make a nice steak tonight... it took a doctoral disertation to assemble the parts they sent us...got on the phone with STOK again...and they said we were out of luck. HORRIBLE COMPANY... Horrible product... Cheaply made. There isn't even a plate on the back of the grill to hold the heat in. I don't write many reviews...and I buy a lot of products on AMAZON...this was the only place i knew I could write and warn people NOT TO BUY A PRODUCT from this company...

The scraper is good, and has been used on the grills, the vaporizers, and the innards of my grill. It removes soot and grease, and doesn't seem to have damaged the enamel.

The bristles are a little finer than I'd like, and tend to bend out of shape easily around the edges.

The handle is a good length. Any longer, and you'd want to use it 2-handed and maybe damage your grill. Any shorter, and you'd get a little crispy using it while the grill is warming up.

Overall, for a $7/prime brush, this is awesome, and in general, it's good. When this one wears out, I'll look for another just like it.

In using this I discovered a really useful trick. I found at first that it took more than 15 seconds to record the final accurate reading. However, if you DO NOT turn on the thermometer until you have inserted it in the meat, it will pick up the food temperature immediately and crawl up quickly. If you don't do that, the thermometer will start with the room temperature and take a longer time to reach the final food temperature reading. A super little device I am thrilled with it!

This thermometer is amazing! Hear my story. I used it on some Cornish Game Hens on the BBQ, and it worked perfectly.They turned out perfect.

The during the next week my son came by the house and put the roast in the oven for me. Nice of him. I bet you can guess what happened. Yep, he grabbed the "new, pretty" one from the drawer. That's not the amazing part.

When I got home I smelled the melting plastic, and rescued the thermometer. It is rather a sad shape now, kinda lopsided.

I'm really pleased with this digital food thermometer. It shows the temperature very quickly and I like the large display. This thermometer is very easy to clean and I like that it comes with a case to keep it protected. So far I've made chicken thighs and steak using it and they both came out cooked to perfection.

Hibachi

I have not been able to find a Hibachi in SE Washington State for the past 3 years. An online search took me to Amazon.com and this Hibachi. It is good quality and the out dated complaint about the painted handles has been corrected. The only problem I had was the left cooking grid was not very stable in the grid support. I sent an email to info@KayHomeProducts.com on Monday evening. Tuesday morning I had an email response from Cathy advising she was shipping me a replacement left cooking grid. I received it in Saturday's mail. Because of the product quality and outstanding customer service I have ordered a 2nd Hibachi to use when we have company and need more cooking service.

I bought this Hibachi about 2.5 months ago.

here is what I found.

A Hibachi is for SMALL jobs.Kabobs,steak chunks,a chicken breast,

1 hamburger per side.

as it doesn't have sides or a top to trap the heat in, what you cook must be small enough to cook fast,as to save the heat.

I have tried a porterhouse and it was just too large.

dont get me wrong, it got cooked well enough( nice med rare )but was too cool on the sides.

This is a great grill,for the right things.

and thats what it dies best.

One briquette grate is smaller than the other and falls to bottom as a result.

Had to drill / elongate hole to install grate support bracket

Paint on handles started to run when I handled them with wet hands. I tried to rinse off the remaining paint or ink under running water so that it will not continue to bleed off. What paint do you know of that rinses off under plain water?

Right cast iron grate cracked when it came in contact with heat.

The design and construction of this product shows clear disregard for the consumer and is absolutely unacceptable at any price. I have to question at this point weather or not the paint used on the grill and grates is toxic or lead based. I've come across my share of junk but this is really bad!

If you are considering purchasing this hibachi, DON'T! It is shoddy and the "cast iron" it is supposedly constructed of is really what is known in the trade as "pig iron". Extremely brittle, and becomes more so as you subject it to heat. One of the grill brackets broke when I set the grill into it for the first time after putting it together. It is actually spray painted black to give the appearance of real cast iron but is actually so full of alloys and contaminants it is really the color of aluminum. Do you wonder why it is so cheap to purchase??? If you really feel like literally throwing away you money, do buy this item. A much better product is the LODGE hibachi...YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR.

We like the size and convenience of a hibachi grill for grilling meals for the two of us. The only thing we could find locally was a light weight sheet metal grill that was quite flimsy. This is a solid cast iron grill that should last many years. The racks fit well into the supports for a three level cooking option. We are quite pleased with this purchase. All of the parts were in the box, and assembly was easy.

If I had to find a flaw, some of the cast iron parts could have been trimmed a little better for a neater appearance, but there were no sharp edges.
