I have used the pizza stone several times now and couldn't be happier pizza cooked on the grill is by far the best pizza I've ever had! I will never make another pizza in the oven ever again.

I am on a gluten free diet and prefer to make many breads, crusts, etc from scratch rather than buy the premade, frozen varieties. I found a recipe for gluten free pizza crust that I liked but it turned out a bit soggy in the oven. The same recipe cooked on the stone turns out perfectly crisp every time. Cooking time does seem to be a bit longer (compared to oven baking) but its well worth the wait.

I own the Patio Bistro grill and this accessory is perfect! I have never grilled pizza before and was excited to try. I was fortunate not to have any shipping problems with my order. To note: with my Char-Broil experience, the customer service is helpful with shipping malfunctions and willing to replace merchandise. One tip that I have discovered, based on stone knowledge and also experience: it is necessary to heat up the pizza stone with the grill. What I mean is that I will start the grill and immediately place a room temperature stone and pizza on the grill, rather than waiting for the grill to heat up and them place a pizza that has been in the refrigerator on the grill to cook. This should avoid cracking. Also stone should not be emerged in water. The best way that I have found to clean is to get it a little soapy and scrub off the extra food with little water. You can even dry it in the oven to make sure there is no water let to sit in the stone, which avoid cracking and prolongs the life of the stone. Overall I would recommend this product for anyone who wants to expand the use of their grill and is up for a bit of maintenance. It is worth it for the end result!

I used the stone the first time to cook a home made pizza at a very high temperature. It worked great and so I was excited about it. The second time I used it at a significantly lower temperature to cook salmon and it cracked in two.

But the fumes during cooking/seasoning makes me like my Pampered Chef stones better.

Not sure when the fumes will go away if ever.

I have experience with Pampered Chef stones and had one for nearly 15 years, but broke it while moving across the country. After buying the bistro grill, which I adore, I got this stone. I grill pizzas routinely and thought I'd try their stone. To my disappointment, it broke in half after just four weeks. Amazon, as always, stood behind it and gave me an instant refund as well as free return shipping, so I'm okay with the experience. My stone broke a few days after my return window, but Amazon still gave me a full refund. Going back to Pampered Chef for a new stone.
