I bought this to use with my Camp Chef BBQ Grill box on my Camp Chef Stove. The thermometer comes with instructions written in English that had no grammatical errors, indicating to me that whoever wrote it, used English as a first language. The instructions were on how to calibrate the unit, basically by bringing a pot of water to a boil while the thermometer is in the water. As you know water boils at 212F. Much to my surprise the Camp Chef thermometer was dead on! The instructions say to note what the dial reads in relation to the boiling water, so you can add or subtract whatever degrees if your dial is off. I don't know if I was lucky or not, but I was very happy. I use the thermometer while cooking outdoors and I really like it. Stainless construction, seems well built.

parts missing .package had been opened .no way this could even hoke up to lid. amazon refunded my money---.chef makes good equip -------q.c. slipped.

We have not taken advantage of this thermometer, it is what we were looking for. Will use it more in the fall.
