The Savu smoker bags (alder) do a great job grilling/smoking fish, salmon filets in particular. Preparation is simple, some (lime-flavoured) olive oil and honey on the fish, into the bag, and onto the grill. Tasty and moist. I still prefer salmon done on a cedar plank (on the grill), but this is a close second. And cleanup is a breeze. I was first introduced to this at a Finnish dinner party, and was given a bag by the hostess to take home and try for myself. You literally just put the seasoned raw fish (or meat, seafood or vegetables) into the large foil pouch and fold over the end to close. That's it. You can cook over the BBQ or put in the oven. They puff up like a Jiffy Pop bag, and take only 30 or so minutes depending upon what you are cooking. The food takes FANTASTIC, with a light smoke flavor. I was taught to put in a couple of sugar cubes too, and that gives the finished product a little brown color.These are a great item, and hard to find in stores. When you do, they are no way this cheap. You can't beat the price, and you will not regret your purchase.
