I have been nursing my old grill along for a number of years, and one of the features that I struggle with is the ignitor. I've bought factory replacements a couple of times, with limited success. This one, however, is a winner! It was easy to connect, and it lights first time every time (as long as the battery is good.)

It's made to mount in the hole where the old ignitor would normally go, but it's bigger than my old ignitor. I just mounted it to the side of the control panel with two-sided tape, and that works for me.

I'd definitely recommend it.

Depending on your grill it may take some work to install. But once set up this thing lights every time. I love it, just hope it last longer then the unit that came stock with my grill.

These look cute online but they are very wide and difficult to skewer into things. The ends are dull and they look pretty cheap with metal remainders on them around most of the seams. All of that wouldn't be so bad if they did not rust the first time I washed them (I didn't even let them soak or anything strange, soap and water and drip dried in my dry rack). Do not get these, they are cheap and difficult to use. If you saw them in person, you would walk away, even at Amazons price.

This BBQ is much larger that my previous one, so I had to renovate the old BBQ area to fit the new unit. I'm glad I did because everything turned out looking much better. Even tho' the instructions that come with the unit are very limited (one page actually relates to the 485RB)you can eventually figure out where everything fits. One thing they should provide for installation is a male conversion connector that connects the unit's 3/8" line to the standard 1/2" gas line. And I still haven't figured out what the chain that comes attached to the bottom of the unit and the attached wire dodad is for. Everything else is as advertised, and so far I am very satisfied with the product.

Thought my Weber was great, but this is even better. Doesn't flare up. Great temperature control. Even temperature across the grill. Stainless round grill bars that are easy to clean. Installed it myself without a problem. I can't find anything wrong with it. Get this one. It's worth the money.

This is our first outdoor grill and I've come to realize there is really no way to keep it 100% clean. Did arrive with a scratch (about an inch) on the black portion of the hood near the handle but so far it's worked well and does a great job of grilling food. A couple of things that make you wonder: the order of the knobs is a bit strange (left burner, infrared burner, middle burner, right burner) from the picture you would have thought the 3 knobs would be the gas burners and the right knob would be the infrared burner. The grease tray does not cover the entire bottom, the left and right sides are not covered so either you put a small tray there or like me use some foil. Overall, for the price (compared to others) I think it's a good value.

Would have liked an option for a longer version. Was disappointed that a cover plate for the open side was not included with the post. Therefore causing additional expense of have a sheet metal shop make one. Would have been nice if it had been painted.

My Baby Q works again! It came as pictured, with the black metal bracket. It also had detailed instructions stating that only a certified Weber technician is capable of installing it. (Don't tell Weber I did it myself...Shhhhh) Not rocket surgery, but then again, I am pretty special. Take out the 2 little black screws using a counterclockwise motion, pull out the old regulator, then reinstall in opposite order. Drr, duh, drr!

This is exactly as described. No complaint there. If your ash catcher is entirely gone, this will put you back good as new. But I lived a long while with a disposable aluminum pie pan as my ash catcher and it worked just fine, if with smaller capacity. I live in Southern California and we do a lot of barbequing but it was only a little effort to empty the pie pan before starting my fire each time.

On the plus side, if you've lost your leg clips, replacements are included and they'd be hard to duplicate.

It appears that Napoleon has changed the design of the Apollo cover in light of the concern expressed in the previous comment (June 2011). Napoleon has replaced the vertical vent screen on top with a horizontal vent screen "ring" around the side. (You can see it in the product photo---the dark ring above the Napoleon insignia.) My initial experience (owned for one month) suggests this solves the earlier problem: no rain water has found its way into my smoker, yet the screen still allows the covered smoker to "breathe" when not in use.

Otherwise, the cover is a lot like the product it protects: a well-made, thoughtful "tweak-up" of Weber's original product. The cover includes a small sleeve on top that covers the handle, a grommet on top that allows you to hang up the cover when its not on the grill, and a draw string at the bottom so you can tighten down the cover. The cover is made of medium-thick material which I suspect will prove sturdy enough. It is only single-stitched, but the stitching looks good (no crooked stitches, or stitching too close to the edge). Bottom line: If you take decent care of it, this cover should last quite a while, which means your Apollo will last quite awhile.

And let's admit it: the big Napoleon insignia on the side looks pretty cool.

The cover appears to be made of durable materials and will probably last for a good long time. However, the cover has a major drawback that has me looking to find another cover. The cover features a 3-inch ventilation strip that is suppose to keep moisture from building up inside the cover. Instead, the ventilation strip allows rain water in and the water ends up pooling on the bottom section of the Apollo smoker. This is not a good thing if it is allowed to stand for very long. Also, the cover is a tight fit and a bit tough to get on and off the smoker. Unlike the Weber Smokey Mountain smoker, the Apollo 3-in-1 smoker does not come with a cover and the cover must be purchased. Looks like I am going to purchase a large Weber Smokey Mountain cover to keep my new Apollo dry. Not happy!

Nothing wrong with the construction or functionality but the applications this can be used with are limited. Yuo don't know this from the info listed but the regulator knob on this unit indicates it's limited to 10psi flow which isn't enough for some camp stoves to function properly.

This would function best for a single propane burner (turkey fryer) so you can control fuel flow. For anything else you are better of getting something with a single or dual stage regulator.

Okay, it's just a LP regulator hose, so no big deal. However, the important point here was that Amazon sent me this part from its own product inventory after the LP generator I ordered was missing that accessory and the vendor could not be contacted (apparently, as I later discovered, due to a move they were undergoing at the time). In any case, Amazon stepped right up and provided the part at no extra charge with guaranteed two-day delivery. Amazon is totally committed to customer satisfaction and this was the second time they've proven that to me during a problem with a large item purchase.

Works great and as advertised. The adjustment knob is reverse threaded, so when you screw it all the way "in" you are actually turning it all the way open, whereas your tank will be fully closed when screwed/turned all the way in. The knob is labeled correctly, and it works fine, it is just not intuitive and it caught us off guard because we did not look at the tiny writing on the knob.

Also, having it open full will allow too much gas for many appliances, so be careful when first using, and probably don't open it all the way. We have to turn it down about 2/3rd the way for our outdoor heater.

Anyway, no complaints. 5x stars.

I recently picked up this same Weber regulator. Believe it or not, I had a squirrel eat through my supply hose. It was old and covered with a "garnish" of drippings from meals gone by, and in his earnest he chomped all the way through the hose and drained the tank. I will admit that at first I thought I could seal the hole with the great fixer upper, duct tape. But it was a no go. After refilling the tank, the instant smell of gas permeated the air. (If this happens to you, or you get a hole in yours for any reason, forget the duct tape. It will leak anyway and be dangerous). This Weber assembly is pretty much the one that is found around here no matter where you go, so I picked it up. My grill is a Charbroil, but I feel that this hose can be made to fit any grill. The tank connector is a universal fit and will screw easily onto any tank. Its the other end that where you may have to improvise. Apparently the fitting at the end of the regulator on newer grills has been simplified to a screw on like the tank side, (took them long enough). My old time dependable grill had a regulator that was not so accommodating. I solved the problem by completely cutting the fittings off and twisting the end over the regulator valve. Although its relatively easy to slip on, the regulator valve is thickly threaded and the hose stays tight and secure. Even so, when dealing with gas its best to make sure, so I installed a small worm clamp around the end and the job was done. Safe and completely without leaks.

Its my opinion that if you are in the need for a new supply line on your gas grill, no matter what brand it is, this universal kit should fit it nicely. If its a newer one the job becomes a simple matter of screwing to ends on. If you have an older one, you can improvise as I did and be grilling before you know it. Its an easy job. And if you are an online shopper, I feel that ordering this kit here on Amazon will save you a lot of time running around wondering which one to get. Recommended should you ever have an aggressive squirrel in your future...

This hose leaks at the connection to the regulator. I am returning it. This is a common issue with these regulators. Always do the soap and water test, you may find that yours leaks too.
