This part is not needed when you are doing a deck for patio installation. You do need the "patio base kit". The post extension they sent me is stainless steel and does not fit any part of the BBQ I can find.

Would have liked an option for a longer version. Was disappointed that a cover plate for the open side was not included with the post. Therefore causing additional expense of have a sheet metal shop make one. Would have been nice if it had been painted.Best Deals for Broil King 11240 Crown 20 Post Extension
This was used with our Broil King grill. It extended the height of the grill. Worked fine. It was delivered promptly. I bought a used one that supposedly had a damaged box, but I saw no damage and it was in good condition.
