Fast shipping, appears to be a high quality item but only time will tell. Like many I just wanted to get another season or two from my BBQ so low cost rebuild parts are what I am stuck with. I did the whole shooting match, grates, burner tubes, and heat sheilds. You will never get like new performance from these things and I kind of wish I just spent the money on an entirely new unit. The hencho in china parts work but just not well.

The grates look good and appear to be good quality but as stated in many other reviews the measurments are off a tad, mine fit but have to overlap due to an almost 1" difference in the stated vs. actual measurements. They are ceramic coated so grinding them to fit would probably speed their demise. It's a gamble weather or not they will fit, you will either be too long or too short you just need to decide what you want to work with.

The caster and insert fit my Weber Genesis grill perfectly. One issue with the product page, however. The photo shows two casters, and even the plural of caster is used in part of the item description. Upon reading further, you find out the kit contains one caster and one insert. Unfortunately for me, I did not read closely enough, and had to reorder a second caster. Great Product, but misleading add, so now paying close to $20 for two casters to replace both broken wheels on grill.

Although the picture shows two casters, when you order quantity of one you only get one caster. If you need to replace both casters as I did, order TWO.

What more do you need to say? It replaced a cracked wheel--no muss, no fuss. Pop the old housing out, new one in, 30 seconds and it's over.

Silver Genesis C is the model I have, but in looking at other models in the local home supply store, it looks like a pretty universal kind of thing for Weber grills.

The price was right--$6? No complaints from me.

Please be aware that the casters for Weber Genesis grills change in size from 2005 and newer. Anything newer than 2005 the wheels are 2 1/2 inches in diameter whereas before that they are smaller. So make sure you know which ones you need. My thinking is these casters from Amazon are the smaller ones.

I just got two of the larger ones 4/3/11 from and Ace hardware. Luckliy they had someone order them and not pick them up. I bought two and if they would have had three I would have bought all of them.

NOte, you really only need one wheel to lock. I put one new wheel on and put the other away as a spare. If you breath on these wheels they break so have a spare on hand.

While the product is a genuine Weber part and fit perfectly, the ad pictures two casters. The product description also can be interpreted as set a set of two. Only one caster comes when ordered. It would be good if the seller represented the product and quantity more accurately.

Appeared to have been dropped, both dented identically on one corner. The finish is also less than the expected quality; brand new, yet had marring in finish.

Because they will be out of sight most of the time, I'm going to keep them rather than deal with replacement. Hats my call, but I'm confident Amazon would make it right if I pressed the issue.

We bought this grill the natural gas version to go on our tiny balcony and had a plumber extend the natural gas line.

Pros: compact size, attractive stainless steel, heats up fast, cooks quickly on low heat

Cons: lots of flare-ups; use low settings, ignitor only worked a few times, lid difficult to open; I have to put my foot on the base to steady the grill when opening

The portable Webers were not available when we purchased; if I were looking now, I'd probably go for the Weber.

I purchased this grill due to my tight balcony space and salt air environment. The ignitor went bad after about 10 uses. When I got the new ignitor, I found they had sent the wrong one. By this time, I also found the plastic adjustment knob had cracked as well.

After owning it for six months I would have to say it's a poor design, by far the most difficult BBQ to keep clean that I've ever owned. Some of this is tolerable and can be lived with, but the Magma customer service was very rude and their policies not at all customer friendly. I will never buy another Magma product and would recommend the same for other BBQ buyers.

I bought the natural gas version of this grill four years ago. The insides have now completely rusted out, to the point that (assuming I actually wanted to) I would have to pay $300 to have the thing repaired. The rust is not due to neglect or overuse (it's been used an average of twice a week, and it's been protected from the elements by the nylon cover that Magma makes for it). The repair guy at the store I bought it from told me that it's due to the high heat that the grill produces. The metal has actually started to decompose, flaking away from the burner, the radiant plate and the fire pan. There is an almost perfect circle rusted out of the fire pan, and a similar pattern of damage to the radiant plate. The burner is frozen into place, and cannot be unscrewed as the owner's manual describes (the repair guy said he'd have to drill it out to remove it).

I was debating whether or not to have the grill repaired, until the repair guy confirmed that even if I did, a few years from now I'd be in the same situation. If it was a great grill, I might spend the money, but it's not like it worked that well even when it was new. As others experienced, I had lots of problems getting it to ignite, and when I did get it going I had to keep an eye on it for the first couple of minutes because any puff of breeze would blow the flame out. The only temperature I could cook anything on was the absolute lowest setting, as food would be incinerated at a higher setting.

This Del Mar stainless steel grill is highly attractive and had it been designed a little better for use and function this grill could have been a big winner IMO.

I had problems when cooking with the silver dome under the cooking grid. With the dome off one does not get the intensity of the heat when one cooks directly over the burner.One can not cook two steaks on high easily at once.Only one steak can be cooked accurately at a time as the flame doesn't reach the outer edge consistently without numerous turns.If your steaks aren't thick one would have well done interiors by the time they finish cooking...Cooking one hamburger at a time fared much better.

Greases catches in a number of holes at the base just under the burner however it is somewhat difficult to clean.

Removing even something as simple as the cooking grid for cleaning and under grid access is highly awkward.One is going to get mighty greasy black hands just trying to get the grid unlatched before attempting removing & cleaning

Like the previous poster I too had self igniting problems.That said some of that may be due to the design of the grill which demands perfect alignment each and every time of interior parts where ignition occurs.

There is a posted message to wait 5 minutes when it fails to light

And fail it does frequently.

Who wants to wait 5 minuted every time it doesn't light and hope for the best the next time?

The Del Mar grill folks would be wise to address cleaning ease,self lighting consistency and cooking consistency across the entire cooking surface.

This grill could be one of the best small grills if they could get slightly better engineers/ designers to fix some of the design flaws.Right now they rest their laurels on appearance and the nifty hide gas away tank my favorite aspect of the grill.

The company could also use friendlier agents with company reps that stand 100% behind their product.After less then two months of ownership and a handful of attempts at cooking( I travel for work) they suggested that I send the grill back at my expense to and from and see if it is defective.Right now I am trying to get my money back from the dealer if at all possible and find something more reliable from the get go.

I bought this grill as I live in a high-rise in downtown San Diego and wanted something that could stand up to the full sun and salt air. The grill is made with a heavy grade stainless steel outer shell and an interior liner to contain the heat. This dual layer also prevents the outer stainless surface from darkening due to the heat.

This grill gets VERY hot and I had to learn to turn down the heat after preheating. I love that it uses the small propane tanks. Although I was originally wary of this design, in a high-rise I do not want to be carrying a heavy propane tank through the lobby and up the elevator to my unit. I get my tanks at The Home Depot in a three pack and they are incredibly reasonable in price.

I read where some people have had problems with the igniter. I have had no such problems. When starting it up after a period of non-use, I may have to click the switch a second time to get it to light, but light it does. You do have to complete some maintenance to keep it operating like new, but I tend to clean things as necessary and mine operates perfectly. Once in a while, rotate the grate to release it, lift out the dome diffusers and vacuum. This keeps the air holes clear, prevents flame out and clears any build-up near the igniter. The articulating lid does hang up on occasion, but I have found that lifting up on the handle rather than pushing back makes opening easier.

I am on my fifth year with the unit and upon this last vacuuming I did notice a crack in the interior liner. Although disappointed, what can I expect after five years and the fact that at the burner your getting near 1000 degrees? I went on line and found the replacement part for $45 bucks. I just ordered it and will install it as soon as it arrives. In the mean time it is still working perfectly. Remember; drop the temp after preheating and vacuum out the ash build-up occasionally. I love the look, small footprint and quality. PS: My Weber only lasted one year.

KOKO Charcoal Reviews

I like many used to use Kingsford or store brand, etc. Once I realized the fillers, etc in these products I felt the need to change. Since then, a long time ago, I have used only natural lump charcoal. I found this product for sale elsewhere one day and decided to take a chance on it. I am glad that I did. This charcoal produces an amazing flavor, lasts way longer than natural lump, and lights just as easy through my weber chimney starter.

The only gripe that I have with this is the price here on Amazon and on their website. It's just TOO much to spend on charcoal. I have found sales online for this product and buy when they come around. So consequently i'll only buy this when I find it on sale, and when I do, I sure do!

Can't recommend it enough! Great flavor, sustainable, give it a try!

I have a Big Green Egg and I smoke and grill every chance I get. At least once a week. I absolutely love this charcoal. It's incredible. It burns hotter than any natural lump I've used, lasts longer, burns even, holds a low temperature for smoking perfectly. Less ash too.

I have been grilling for 10+ years learning good grilling habits from Alton Brown. I usually use Kingsford competition and no-name lump. I would really like to have a cleaner charcoal so I gave this a shot. "Burns, longer, hotter, cleaner." I used the recommended 22 coals for 4 6 people. It took three times to light using paper and vegetable oil, my normal way to start a grill. I even put some in the middle of the coals as recommended. I've never had this much trouble.

I let it heat up (30 min) and start some mushrooms and onions on skewers before I get to the meat. I must have left those veggies on there for at least 20 minutes and they never seared and just barely got cooked enough to eat. I did not spread out the coals but had them on one side to condense the heat. I never got to the meat because there was just never enough heat to cook, let alone sear.

Buyer beware. I will not buy again.

I have been using a small, vertical Brinkmann smoker for 20 years and I liked what I made with it, but I didn't like the design. It was hard to get wood in it if you had food in it, it didn't hold heat well, it didn't hold much food, and it was flimsy. I have 2 growing boys to cook for and I needed to step up to a smoker that could handle more food. I really wanted an offset smoker box and plenty of room for food, while keeping the vertical design.

This is the only smoker I could find that met my needs.

I was hoping it was American made, but like all things manufactured these days, it was made in China. That being said, it was made well. The total weight of this smoker is over 70lb, and it stands over four feet tall. It is solidly built and extremely easy to put together. The racks are easy to move around to accommodate various sizes and shapes of foods and the fire box holds quite a bit of wood.

The temperature is very easy to control with the vents on either side of the smoker and the built in thermometer is more specific than the Brinkmann. I can keep my food at an exact temperature very easily, not just "ideal".

So far I have smoked ribs, chickens and pork shoulders with far better results than with my smaller vertical smoker.

I highly recommend this smoker to anyone from a novice to a seasoned (pun intended) pit master.

I don't know about the two bad reviews, but I am in love with this little budget smoker (and so is my family). The six racks allowed me to cook 20 lbs of ribs with ease one day, and while the cook box isn't super wide or deep, I fit a 12lb brisket for one meal, and 10 lbs of pork belly with 10 lbs of pork butt below.

Once I got the temp up to 225, it was easy to keep it maintained. I do wish the smoke box could hold more, but for the cost it is really hard to complain.

If you make a few mods to it, it's great. I needed another smoker because my bullet smoker was a gift from my wife's dad before he passed, which is where I actually started my smoking habit from. Used that for a couple years, but I hated how hard it was to get to the fire and the second rack, and making food for large groups of people was a pain.

So I got into the market for a larger one, and I came across that Dyna-Glo on Amazon for $200, unfortunately it had just been released about a week before so there were no comments/reviews. I took a chance figuring I modded my bullet smoker so I could do the same to that.

It was exactly what I wanted size wise, as I can smoke tons of food on it and even hang sausage if I want to. I could do about 10 whole chickens on it if needed, but I'll doubt I'll ever need do to that much (and I still have the bullet smoker for anything extra). But best of all was the firebox, it's so much easier now dealing with the fire. I really wanted to get a drum smoker but I couldn't find any decent one's (even used) that weren't 4-500 bucks.

Probably the worst part of the smoker is the metal is pretty thin. However, I live in Florida where I really don't have to worry much about the cold, so thin metal doesn't mean as much. I am able to get it up to 250 degrees and hold it there no problem, and I know if I wanted to go up to 300 I could as well (but I rarely smoke above 250). I also did quite a few mods, I put a baffle between the fire box and the food area which helps distribute the heat/smoke better and also sealed it with fireplace sealant because there are a few areas it leaked smoke. Also ended up getting some firebricks which could help with long time smokes but I need to try it out again because the first time they seemed to really give me an issue with heating it up to temp but it was only my second smoke with it and I didn't have enough charcoal in it.

With all the mods, I think it's perfect for my needs and my budget. One day maybe I'll get a drum smoker, but my wife is going to kill me if I end up with 3 smokers! I plan on doing the ultimate test in it soon, a brisket, so we'll see how it goes when I do a long 12 hour burn in it. So far though it has smoked perfectly and I can't complain for $200 shipped.

P.S. Not sure how anyone is saying this thing can't take more than one chimney of charcoal, I routinely put at least 2 chimneys worth without an issue.

The first time I used the smoker I had to add keep adding more wood, The charcoal would only burn around 200-225 degrees The fire box has a around a 1/8 to 1/4 in gap in the top area. I had to seal that area. The paint came off the smoker box on the top and two side after the first use. One good thing to say is the food I have smoked 2 Pork butts, 6 racks of pork spare ribs all had a really good smoke ring and taste. Have smoked salmon also. Not a bad cheaper smoker but you may have to seal and repaint it with in a few uses. The unit does hold a lot of food. You may have to move the food around from bottom to top shelves to have equal cooking time.
