Unfortunately the Weber web-site doesn't seem to list any information for these Gridles. There are two models, I purchased the "9882" model. I think I should have purchased the "9881", which is larger (17-7/16 by 11-13/16 inches). This Griddle is the same width, but only about 14 inches long.

The first surprise I had was when I opened the box. The Griddle was smaller than the (Weber-made) box, and left to rattle around without any packaging inside. Whats more, the griddle is totally different to the picture on the box (and on this website). On the box, you can clearly see that the griddle has a "grease trap" at the front, a valuable feature, but the actual griddle inside did not it was just one flat surface.

Because I got the smaller griddle, it doesn't run the full depth of my Weber Genesis Platinum C Grill, but that is fine, as it leaves me some extra grilling space. The Griddle is heavy, and set ontop of the Grill, it was solid and did not move. If you have any experience with Cast-Iron utensils, you will quickly get used to this griddle. Cast Iron takes a little more work and care, but it is well worth it.

The Griddle worked well, and cooking such items as bacon and eggs is a delight. I gave the Griddle just three stars because of the packaging, and because the picture didn't accurately reflect the product.

This reveiw is for the Weber 9882 Cast Iron Griddle which I just received for my Weber Genesis Silver A gas grill. The other review is correct in that the photo of the Weber 9882 (on the box and Amazon's website) is not accurate. The photo is of the 9881 which has a lower drip level where the 9882 does not (see Weber's website). I was searching for a griddle that did NOT have a drip section (the 9882). I'm using primarily to make White Castle hamburgers. YES!

You may want to note that the 9882 griddle ALSO has a ribbed section on the other side for cooking bacon etc!!!! The description and photos do not indicate this little "other" feature! Of course the item will need to be seasoned and maintained as it will rust. Worth the money!

Great device. Makes cooking fish very easy. One thing to note is if you cook fish that has been skinned already, you will get residue on the basket that can be a bit more challenging to get rid of.

Weber has made superb product for the Weber Q gas grills. One issue is the cost is a bit high, but it is very well made. It has other uses other than holding fish; it is great for cooking potatoes and corn on the cob. This rack sits on top of the iron grate and keeps vegetables from burning.

forget most precut filets of fish with any thickness to them. Tried both cod and salmon and both considerably too thick to fit in the small space between the top and bottom lids.

I started looking for a new gas grill late summer 2011. I had problems with ground squirrels getting into my grill and tools. All I could find at various big boxes were monster contraptions costing many 100's of $$$. So when the 463722311, catchy model name, showed up on one of the bargain sites for $94 shipped, I jumped on it.

THE GRILL:

Fundamentally this is a very solid gas grill with flaws in design of the support frame and numerous quality issues getting a perfect product to the customer. The basic gas grill was preassembled and it slid into the frame you assembled from the many parts using a well-illustrated manual. Both the top and bottom of the firebox were heavy gauge steel shells. The burners, tent flame shields, upper wire shelf and grill racks are then inserted inside the shells, all exhibiting a been there done that before professionalism. All the steel pieces were coated in porcelain, easy to clean and durable. I've yet to fully master all the subtleties of grilling on the 463722311, but I'm convinced that with the thermometer and 3-burners it won't take me long.

* Since I started using the 463722311 2-months ago I've grilled steaks, chicken, brats and burgers at least twice each and the combination of the three independent burners and the thermometer allows repeatable control. Some things just need fast grilling whereas other need baking. I always grill in the center with a single grate, this allows me to move the grilled item over the flame tent, away from direct flame. I then adjust the outer burners for the interior temperature. Easier to do than explain.

STRUCTURE:

The frame that supports the firebox lacked basic structural elements to prevent parallelogram collapse on the right side. A simple triangular brace is all that would be required. Instead, Char-Broil wasted three pieces of wire to exclude a propane tank from being placed under the firebox. Any of those three wires could have braced the frame from collapse. I added a steel strap, crude but functional, see photo.

DAMAGE:

The grill had numerous dents, dings and bends in many of the thin gauge steel parts. The worst dent was in the upper firebox shell. It had a large dent from the inside out. It's as if someone took a ball peen hammer with full force struck the shell. The dent fractured the porcelain coating inside and out. In addition, the control panel was heavily scuffed in the right corner leaving a thumb size area with the paint removed. Everything was well packaged in cardboard and/or Styrofoam. The outer carton had almost no damage when it arrived. None of the packaging material showed any damage. All this leads me to believe that the damage occurred prior to shipment and were packaged that way by Char-Broil.

IGNITOR:

The piezo crystal push button ignitor didn't work. I saw one blue spark in one hundred attempts. I used the interactive PDF ignition questionnaire and ended up at the 800 number. I called customer service and except for the accessory up selling the process was smooth and painless. New ignitor should arrive in a week. Installing it into the tight space above the gas manifold will be non-trivial.

* After receiving the replacement ignitor which also didn't work, I figured out the problem. I assumed that the ignitor had two parallel circuits for the side and main burners . . . wrong. The two electrodes are in series. By not installing the side burner, I defeated the ignitor function, I should have grounded the side burner wire to the frame.

MORE:

While the 463722311 has no designed in tool storage, I had no need for a side burner, so I converted that compartment into tool storage, see photo. I purchased a 1/8" pipe plug to block the gas port for the side burner. The propane tank has a hook and v-notch attachment over the axle, quick and simple.

I deducted 2 stars for the defective ignitor, weak structure and all the damage. The 463722311 could have easily earned 5 stars except for those problems. My spell checker likes igniter, but Char-Broil spells it ignitor in their manual?

I shopped around for quite a while for my grill. The problem I had were all the negative reviews. It did not seem to matter which grill I looked at, I would find some horrific tale of woe. I finally gave up and told my wife and daughter to surprise me. This was the choice and I have used it almost every day for a week straight. It is a terrific grill. It cleans up easy and I have never had food come off so evenly cooked. I am not a technical guy. I'm a writer. I don't know specs or anything else. What I do know is that it works great, looks nice and, and is plenty sturdy for big racks of ribs and such.

The only issue we have had so far with the grill is that it came in damaged. We didn't realize the full extent of the damage until it was already completely assembled. The parts were bent but we bent them back with pliers but the big issue was that the igniter button had to be put back together and that part of the grill is bent in so hopefully it will still work. Otherwise it is an awesome looking grill! I will put up an update if the grill will not ignite due to the shipping damage.

The grill works like a dream despite the cosmetic issues. This is a great grill for the price! It works very well and lives up to my high standards after owning a Weber grill!

Item arrived in PERFECT condition! I was concerned about that, because of the MANY reviews where customers said they experienced damaged parts. I thought it was extremely securely packaged for utmost protection.So,they may have addressed that issue. The grill size is PERFECT for us (2)seniors, but would serve equally as well for a family of 5 or a gathering of 8 with little effort. The directions were very explicite, both in word & picture, thus no problem putting together as long as you FOLLOW the numerical steps! The 3 burners allows the choice for cooking for 2 or multiple, utilizing the propane most efficiently. Every meat we have cooked has been perfectly evenly & thoroughly cooked, coming out tasty(per ur seasoning)tender, & that stay warm rack is really helpful. The grill surface is 2 easy to remove panels to make it extremely easy to keep clean. we even put them in the dishwasher. The ONLY negative is when moving the grill, but I think most are this way. The wheels make moving easy enough, but there is no specific handle to use to lift the non-wheel end to move, you lift by the serving tray, which would make it awkward moving it any distance or rough terrain..But ours lives in one spot, & is of no consequence to us, whatsoever! For the price, I have no issue highly recommending this item very confidently!

My husband and I purchased this grill on July 3rd and yes, it was an impulse buy because we did not want to ruin a good steak on the 4th. I had been looking for two month unsure which grill to get so we settled on the Char-Broil 36,000 BTU 3-Burner Gas Grill, 522 Square Inch with Side Burner. Got it home the legs did not fit on the cart, we called the company they said they would send out the correct legs no charge. Then we went to fire it up and the igniter did not work but we lived with that because we had been do a manual light with the old grill for years. We had to heat the grill up to burn off the factory coating, when my husband went to open the lid he also got 2nd degree burns on his handswe had to use the "Ove-Glove" to open and close the lid. When we called the company, they said there was nothing they could except to use a mitt when touching the grill. Finally, we were cooking for the 3rd time and the warming tray above the grill folded down onto itself sliding what I had on the tray onto the grill itself. The last straw was the fact the grill did not cook the food any better than the old grill we have had for well over 20years. I say do not buy this grill. We returned to the store that we had purchased at and for an additional $200 hundred dollars we purchased a Weber, the lesson we learned is to not to rush into a purchase.

Best Camp Chef Italia Pizza Oven PZ60 Deals

First of all...

I am a true pizza fanatic, I own a 48" wood fired oven and use it to make true neapolitan pizza. As such, I have a fair bit of experience with "artisan" style pizza as well as many others.

I have had a camp chef EX280LW for two years now along with several of the accessories and have been happy with its performance. When I saw this oven pop up, I knew I had to have it.

I must admit that I was very skeptical, a lot of pizza oven claim to be able to make neapolitan style pizza but very few can live up to that claim. I was especially dubious of the design having a large open front as well as instructions that stated a proper cooking temperature of 600F way too cool for neapolitan pizza which I bake at 800-900F.

However, with a camping trip coming up, I went ahead and ordered one anyway. After the oven arrived, I was fairly pleased with the construction, including a large stone and a stainless "dome". It is not heavyweight and there is no insulation, so the oven is not exactly oozing in ultra high build quality. However, since it is designed for camping, I appreciate the cost effectiveness as well as the portable weight of the design. I may try to add insulation to the top of the dome as well as cover some of the front opening, but that is down the road.

For the camping trip, I prepped 24 8oz dough balls and brought loads of toppings to try. I went ahead and fired up the EX280LW at medium heat, it took a little bit to get the temps regulated but after about 20 min, I had it figured out. Out of my personal preference for high temperature pizza, I went ahead and fired the little oven almost as hot as I could get it. The stone floor temp was about 750F according to my IR thermometer and the dome was a little over 800F.

Overall, the event was a success, for some reason though, even though my temps were high, it took the pizzas about 3 min to bake, I hope to tweak my process and get those bake times down to 2min or less.

What I learned...

This oven is not a miracle worker, it will not replace my wood fired oven for any of my normal pizza needs, however, it is a very easy, convenient solution that allows excellent pizzas to be made on the campsite without transporting a heavy mobile oven or expending the money needed for such an investment. All in all, it performed nearly as well as I hoped, and better than expected.

I love this oven... Had a football tailgate this past weekend for 30 people and we were cranking out pizzas like crazy, made 8 pizzas in about an hour or so. Can easily cook 2 pizzas at a time! Depending on the temp you set it at, the cook time ranges from 6 to 10 minutes and its pizzeria perfect! We also did garlic bread and french bread pizzas as well. Seems no limit to what can be done.

We added a smoking tube with apple wood chips and now we have everything just like a wood-fired pizza oven including the smokey flavor!

I ordered this Vikings grill cover for my husband. Size and colors were fine. Quality is not so good. We got it late June (2012) and it last about 8 months before the Velcro tabs ripped off. When I was repairing the tabs I noticed many cracks (more than 20) in the purple vinyl. The white soft fabric under the vinyl is fine, so it is not ripped completely through.

I expected it to last longer than 8 months. The grill it is covering is pretty old and will be replaced soon. I will replace the cover at that time too. I would not purchase this cover again.

Fast shipping, appears to be a high quality item but only time will tell. Like many I just wanted to get another season or two from my BBQ so low cost rebuild parts are what I am stuck with. I did the whole shooting match, grates, burner tubes, and heat sheilds. You will never get like new performance from these things and I kind of wish I just spent the money on an entirely new unit. The hencho in china parts work but just not well.

The grates look good and appear to be good quality but as stated in many other reviews the measurments are off a tad, mine fit but have to overlap due to an almost 1" difference in the stated vs. actual measurements. They are ceramic coated so grinding them to fit would probably speed their demise. It's a gamble weather or not they will fit, you will either be too long or too short you just need to decide what you want to work with.

This received top ratings from America's Test Kitchen (Cooking Illustrated & Cook's Kitchen). I was skeptical because I have tried about a dozen different grill pans in the 18 months, but none have really worked. This is the best I have used yet.

One was a square-ish pan and the corners snapped and became unusable. A common problem with many pans; they are welded and not stamped or folded. The welds usually break due to the high heat in the grill.

My old favorite is a bowl style; it's decent, but the problem is the top is bigger than the bottom so there is not a lot of actual grilling space. As a result you either have steamed veggies or you have to keep stirring.

The biggest complaint I have about most grill pans is the holes. Either they are too big and things like cherry tomatoes and sliced onions fall through, or the holes are too small. Small holes have many problems: difficult to clean, too many and the food gets too charred, too many holes and the metal separating the holes breaks...etc.

This pan is the best pan I have used yet. It it made of one piece with NO welds; the sides are bent up to create a lip and give the user an edge to flip and turn food. Also, the holes are not actually holes, they are slits. This means that one does not have to worry about food slipping through the spaces; from time to time sliced onions get stuck, but not really a BIG deal. It works great for Portabella mushrooms though it is not just for veggies, it's great for fish. Another big seller is that this is stainless and easy-ish to clean. It's not going to be non-stick easy to clean, you will have to scrub, but with a Brillo pad and elbow grease it's not a big deal.

The only complaint I have is the size. I have a two burner grill (unless I can talk my wife into getting a new grill next summer) and the pan can be a little too big for this type of grill. This "complaint" is not that big of a complaint since I usually don't do veggies at the same time as the meat.

If Weber updates this pan, I would recommend making it available in a smaller size and upgrading the metal; it's a little light weight. It's not bad, a little more heft would be nice.

If you have a grilling fanatic in your family (even if it's you) then buy this pan. It's great! You won't be disappointed. Get this pan.

When I was growing up in the Midwest the outdoor grill meant only one thing, MEAT! Fortunately people are becoming more sophisticated in what they choose to grill. Now it is not unusual to find fish, shrimp, mushrooms, asparagus, you name it, cooking right next to burgers and steaks.

The only problem is, of course, smaller foods can drop through the grill and onto the fire. I have purchased screens and disposable grill pans before and they worked just okay. When I saw this pan and how reasonable it was priced I had to get it.

I like the build of this pan, very heavy-duty without being too thick. The raised sides keep the food from falling off and makes the pan easy to carry. It takes a little effort to clean (I use a SOS pad) but that is to be expected.

I use a small Weber--the Q200-and it is just big enough for cooking for 4-5 people. This grill pan fits perfectly on it but if I want to cook both meat and veggies at the same time I would need a bigger grill. I thought that I would make this little video to show the pan in action. Thank you!

This was chosen by the equipment testers at "America's Test Kitchen"/"Cooks' Country" and I saw it reviewed and rated on one of their PBS shows. They rated it highest. It is a really efficient way to grill vegetables. I just clean zucchini, peppers, mushrooms, asparagus, etc., toss them in a very small amount of olive oil and sprinkle with salt and pepper and fresh herbs. I arrange them on the grill pan for my husband to cook after he's finished cooking the meat or fish. The result is delicious, cooked just to the preferred doneness and without heating or steaming up the kitchen. The small openings in the bottom of the grill let the vegetables brown and carmelize just the right amount but keep them all together and out of the fire. (A tip, carry the grill pan on top of a cookie sheet to transport it back and forth from the grill; this keeps anything from dripping on the way to and from the kitchen.)

At the time I purchased this, the product description on Amazon incorrectly stated the dimensions as 14 x 11 inches in one place, and 17 x 11 x 1 inches in another. These are both wrong. When I received it, it stated clearly on the package that this grill pan is 13.5" x 18.5" x 1.5", which incidentally won't fit on my grill. I've submitted the correction to Amazon, but in the meantime buyer beware.

As another reviewer has mentioned, these are most definitely not stainless steel. They are a chrome-plated alloy and the plating had already started to chip when delivered. I'm rarely disappointed by well-reviewed products on Amazon, but the strong rating on this is a miss.

These skewers are wonderful exactly what I was looking for!! They're dishwasher safe (always a plus) and long enough that I can leave the ends off the grill, so they'll stay cool enough to handle and turn. The skewers are a little less than 1/4 inch wide and relatively thin, which keeps food from sliding around and rotating on the skewers, giving better control for cooking. Also, they're thin enough to fit between fork tines, and food doesn't stick at all, so it's easy to slide food off onto a plate.

I looked to see what if any seasoning needed to be done but I could not find any. So I heated the insert grill up to remove any type of machining oil. I sprayed cooking spray on it and brushed it with cooking oil and let it smoke for a while. I have a 3 burner gas gril and I have to watch the settings of the burners as not to overcook the meat.

I went to an Asiain market to get the meat the first time and found it was too expensive. I then went to a Mexian market and they did have the thinly sliced cuts of beef I wanted. I marinated the meat over over an hour or so and the placed the meat on the grill insert.

Once cooking the meat and cleaning. I had to get a knife and scrape the burnt residue that was around the sides of the insert. The residue did not come off easily with a cleaning pad.

Still I like the insert grill and will use it again.

I am not a Korean, so my review of 1 star could be biased, but at this stage I really hate it! I used the insert right after I received it for marinated pork belly. Food was good but I spent hours trying to clean the insert, and could not get it done. In the manual, it required hand wash with soft brush...

---one day after my review, I put the dirty insert on the hot grill (after all food was done and there were charcoal left, I just want to give it a try), and used hard grill brush to clean it while it was hot. i am not satisfied with the cleaning result but it became ok.

Great product, I only wish it came with the screws to attach it to the burner. If it doesn't work remember to check the battery of the ignition.

I have to say that the con to this devices is the spit itself... come on why would make a spit in two pieces attached by a nut that bind the two pieces together ... to me it seems it is the weakest point in the whole device. I broke mine while I was tightening it... luckily I ran out to buy a cheap rotisserie for the 1 piece spit it contained... I wasn't sure about buying this rotisserie after reading other negative reviews and wish I hadn't. It didn't even make it to the grill. The rod comes in 2 parts that have to be screwed in, one into the other, and the threaded end snapped off before it was even tightened down all the way. This is clearly not well-made and I would guess if it had made it into use, something else would have failed later on.

This item is great!! It installed right on the pre drilled holes on my BBQ and I was off and running! Only drawback is that you have to remove the brackets in order to put your grill back on. I cooked a chicken and it was beautiful!

Excellent addition to the Char-broil Gas Grill. Indispensible for small roasts or a turkey breast.......

Slow heat..150-180 for an hour or so....turn to high for last 25 min of cooking time.....delicious!!!!!!!!!!

Overall I was happy with the product. However, the 2-piece spit broke during the 3rd use. Fortunately the chicken was done when the spit broke so I didn't lose a meal. This wasn't really unexpected since I've owned a rotisseri with this type of spit before. I'll have to get a 1-piece spit in order to be able to use it again. Other than that, the motor is strong enough to turn an 8 pound chicken so so all in all it's a good product.

I've had my Great Outdoors Pinnacle grill for about 5 years and some parts have held up well while others have deteriorated into a rusty mess. The burners of the grill were one of the items that rusted out. This particular grill is pretty rare and the burners that are technically for it are about 4 times more expensive then these. I decided to give these burners a chance and I'm glad I did! They were exactly the right size/specs and fit right in place of the old ones. I did have to knock the little square plate off each one, but that doesn't affect performance at all and it was quick and easy to do. Also, there is not a place to mount the igniter units, but those stopped working years ago and I just use a long lighter. After installing the burners the grill fired right up and it's as good as new. These saved me from having to spend $200+ on a new grill and were a great deal compared to what other websites or retailers are charging.

They work. Time will tell if they last. The originals lasted years. Removing a star because they don't come with new gaskets. I cut my own gaskets out of some fiberglass insulation material.

These burners are an exact replacement for grill. Just a note, when replacing the burners you might want to consider replacing the igniters at the same time. Mine were corroded and not salvageable to reuse on the new burners.

Had to bend the ends a little bit to make them fit, but it was super easy, and took me only a few minutes to install them. BTW I have had a Jenn Air JA460 for almost 9 years, so the value is totally worth it if I can get a few more years (or even one year) out of this grill, without having to spend over $500 for a new grill.

I used this with a Vermont Castings VM450SSP. It was a good fit and very similiar to the OEM burners.
