I read alot of online reviews for cushion storage bags. they all seemed grim, but this one did not have any negatives, so I figured why not try. The bag is big, but did not fit all the cushions (oversized cushions). It is kind of an eye sore compared to others. I went to use my cushions after the first rain storm, opened the bag, and they were SOAKED! I can deal with some moistness, but this bag did absolutely nothing in relation to protection from the rain. I had an old motorcycle cover lying around so I just piled all the cushions on one chair and covered it with that. Works much better! I figure a grill cover would probably work just as well.

Seems like a good quality carrier. Easy to load, unload zippers work well folds up neatly when not in use. Four oversize chair cushions fit easily

Great bag, big enough to fit all my outside furniture cushions. keeps the weather off. Nice bag. I would recomend this bag.

Honest reviews on Mr. Bar-B-Q Backyard Basics Eco-Cover PVC Free Double Cushion

This bag is very spacious and fits my 14 seat cushions very comfortably. There is even room for more cushions. The bag is very sturdy but I cannot tell you if it is truly waterproof or not as we keep the bag with the cushions in the garage.I would definitely recommend this storage bag.

I wanted something to store the cushions on my deck furniture and researched a lot of them. The prices ranged from this one at the bottom and up, way up. I took a chance on this one and am very happy that I did. You can really pack some cushions in it! I used it for two glider cushions and four pillows and they easily fit. It does allow a little moisture inside but, not enough to affect the contents. A good value.

Perfect size and looks great on the patio! There's really not much else to say makes no sense that there is a minimum of words you have to enter on the review.

This product worked out well but is very flimsy. The mat was very thin. Where the grill sits it is a rough fabric leading into one third of it that is smooth with the Clemson Logo. Very happy with the product, I just thought that it might be a little thicker than what it was.

I have purchased MECO grills over the years [since the early-'80s] and have been a satisfied customer. I like the features of the grill, and have accepted the reality that the product is not as robust as Weber, but the value has always offset the relative cost issue. I just purchased a new 4106 in late June and was quite disappointed. No longer is the hood pre-assembled to the bowl with rivets, requiring no assemby by the owner, but [as noted in by another commenter] the proper locknuts required to assemble the entire grill were missing; in there place square non-locking nuts, which if utilized as direct substitute would have left a shaky grill forever. I contacted MECO and a very pleasant lady told me that was how the company was was shipping the units now, and she did not know why. But, she did happily ship the locknuts necessary, and a week later, I was able to finally assemble the grill in its entirety. Had I needed the grill immediately, I could have purchased the locknuts for 'chump-change' at my local mega-hardware store, but I did not. My final observation regarding my new grill, in addition to the above, as I compare its 'heft' to my old grill which I have not trashed as yet, it appears the gauge of the metal in both the hood & bowl is less. I suspect the robustness of this grill will not meet that of old one. Note: the only reason I'm replacing the old grill is that for the first time ever with any MECO grill I've owned, the bottom of the bowl has corroded so badly that I'm afraid it might collapse through while grilling. I prefer not to test my theory any longer.

Having said all that: as stated earlier, I do enjoy using my MECO grill as the features are to my liking. I wish the quality was the same. This will be my last MECO.....hope it lasts.....Meco Series 4100 Model 4106 Square Utility Charcoal Grill, Red

My second grill of the same model. The first one eventually rusted out after 10+ years. I bought another, this time in red. But I would recommend black because the red wears out prematurely.

This is the fourth Meco 4100 Grille I have owned. They have never let me down when it comes to regulating my cooking and my time! They are easy and time-saving to cook with. I have owned bigger, "easier" propane gas grilles but for the comvenience, nothing comes close to this little whopper! I will never own anything else again.

I found a Brinkmann Pro series 2500 for free that had the burners and heat shield rusted out. I found replacement burners for a great price, but the heat shield was very expensive for the exact replacement which should be a 2 pack of 12"x12" (12"x24" total aprx). So I looked for alternatives to the exact replacement. I found this which is 16 3/8" x 12" for each shield. So I figured I could turn it sideways and use 1.. It is a few inches short, but does cover 3 of the burners if slid all the way to the side, which is perfectly fine for me. And I have an extra one laying around as a spare! So considering I paid 15$ for a pack of 2, when the exact replacement was closer to 60$ on amazon, I think it was a great deal.

They also arrived quickly and in undamaged condition.

These were to replace rusted out heat sheilds in my grillthey were pretty close on the measurements, but were a bit tight to fit. So I just used a grinder to grind down the tight spots and it fits perfectly. Grill is as good as new.

Ordered this because it was an inexpensive way to keep my old grill going but was happily surprised when they arrived quickly (way less than the estimated arrival time) and they weren't porcelain coated steel, but stainless steel. I figured porcelain coated steel would would rust out like the originals did so I'm hoping the stainless proves to be more durable for such a tough environment.

I bought this grill because it looked like it had it all, and I must say it really lived up to the expectations. Living in Sweden we have a fairly short summer that really makes you want to be out as often as you can. For me happiness lives in the ability to barbecue. Disposable grills is something that is big here, unfortunately its not very environmentally friendly or very good. So far the Son of Hibachi has been able to replace them with style.

The product description is pretty much on the money. Start-up is easy and fast, I would say the 10 minute mark can swing up and down a little depending on what coals you use. Lump coal is faster, briquettes a little slower but if you can normally light your coals with fire starters, be it liquids or other you will have no problem here. The chimney effect of the closed up grill is noticeable and works as a charm.

When you notice the top coals are lit, peeking down from the top, you fold it open and the top handles become legs for the grill sides to rest upon. What strikes you at first is the intense heat wave created by the two surfaces it is hot! Fortunately you can adjust the grilles in four levels to reduce some of that intense first heat.

We have tried cooking some different things now from hot dogs to chicken breasts to hamburgers and so far it has all worked out very well. The heavy duty grilles leave some nice black patterns on the cooking surface, just the way I think it should be.

The whole construction breathes sturdy, everything has that robust feel about it all packed with coals it weighs in on about 16 pounds (7.5 kilo) which is a little heavy but knowing that nothing about this grill spells flimsy I accept that.

Another real good thing about this combo is the Snuff-out-pouch which really elevates this purchase. Once done grilling you close up the grill again and let that chimney effect clean of your grilles. Then smoking hot you put it down in your fire retardant pouch and zip it up in litterally less than 10 seconds you are ready to go. Sure the bag heats up a little but considering the heat of the grill its nothing. The instructions state to leave it for at least 30 minutes before putting it in your trunk an obvious protection against lawsuits. We have found this to be, in our case, unnecessary. As long as it stands up it's not going to damage anything. The bag can let out some smoke initially when packed but this settles pretty fast once oxygen depravation in the bag sets in.

My only gripe about Amazons product description is that the grill ships with a "Grill N Fry cast iron griddle for cooking eggs, pancakes, etc." which is only half true. Part of the grille has a flat surface true, but I don't see how it would be enough for a pancake an egg id probably fine. Luckily you can get a complete frying surface as an accessory if you look around online for a little bit.

All in all this is a marvelous little bbq which is well worth its pretty low price tag (in my opinion). Highly recommended for the excursion barbecuer.

EDIT: I would like to clarify one thing with the snuff-out pouch. I did actually manage to burn a backpack slightly I had crammed against the side of the pouch in my trunk. The sides of the pouch does get very hot after packing so I would avoid putting anything against it for a while. THe front and back however never gets very hot.

I bought this grill 2 years ago and have loved it. My family and friends love the food I make on it as well. I have cooked on it about fifteen times and have not had one disaster or complete failure to cook good food with it.

That said, there was a learning curve too it. I first tried using MatchLight Charcoal with it, and that resulted in three-foot tall flames coming out of it during the starting process. It also did not get hot enough to sear the food, but the results were still better than I get with a gas grill.

I then tried natural wood charcoal chunks. This was a serious mistake. The grill got hot enough, and the food was as we like it, but the popping of the charcoal resulted in me constantly having to put out hot coals that flew out of it. I did not try that charcoal again.

Next I ordered some "Wicked Good Charcoal" and that has been just what the doctor ordered. It still takes about 30 minutes to get the fire good and hot, but this charcoal gets HOT and lasts well.

I've tried a variety of starter methods. A couple of sheets of newspapaper like in a chimney starter do not get the job done. The starter sticks from Son of Hibachi do well, but you need to use several at a time for best results. I've tried some MatchLight starter sticks and they do well, but burn with a black smoke that coats the grills with soot. My favorite method is to use newspaper and a jellied alcohol type starter that I get at Whole Foods. I do find that putting enough charcoal in to force the two halves slightly apart gives more air-flow to the upper half of the grill in the starter configuration, and gives a better light to the upper half.

I've found that the grills are not entirely self cleaning, but a minute with a wire brush cleans them nicely. I use Weber's non-stick spray on the grills, and this completely eliminates sticking. If I do not spray the grills with some kind of oil spray, there is bad sticking.

Some things I've found;

Thin cuts cook best.

If you want to cook thicker cuts, sear them then raise the grill, and cover the food on the grill with foil to trap the heat and help the food cook quicker.

Some wood chips give a nice hint of smoke flavor, and covering the food helps trap the smoke against the food, giving more smoke flavor.

Char Crust dry rub seasoning works GREAT at giving a good flavor and sealing in the juices.

Use some foil to block the wind if it is windy, or the food will cook unevenly.

Spray the grils with an oil spray, preferably a high-heat spray or Weber's grill spray.

Empty the grill and clean the grills if you are not going to use it for a while, as the grills will rust.

Quality charcoal briquettes are required. Don't cheap out on the charcoal. You'll be using less than half of what you'd expect to use, since you can just top off the grill rather than throwing away the old charcoal.

If using quality charcoal that gets very hot, let the grill cool down a bit before putting it in the bag. I've melted some of the piping on the bag and the zipper in one spot from putting the grill in after only a few minutes with the lid on.

In summary, I LOVE this grill, and my friends and family love the food I cook with it. Just be aware that it may not live up to all it's claims fully. I still feel it is worth it.

Best Deals for Son of Hibachi Combo with Snuff out Pouch

Let me start by saying "I love this grill!". I used it twice last weekend, once at a Nascar event. I had none of the problems that I read in some other reviews. Following the instructions, I filled the grill compartments with charcoal ( I used Stubbs), then placed 4 briquettes in the center tray and a few small torn pieces of newspaper. Then I squirted a couple of ounces of Charcoal lighter fluid on the 4 briquettes and paper in the tray (NOT on the charcoals under the grills!!). In 10 minutes it is one hot Son Of Hibachi.

For my first test, I had read the reviews saying it wasn't hot enough, so I added about 6 pieces of charcoal to each side after opening the hot grill. It worked great, but was close to being too hot. Plus it took hours for the thing to finally cool in the pouch!!

We used it at the Nascar Race in Loudon NH on the following day. We cooked Hamburgers, Brats, and steak kabobs for four guys. No complaints, everyone thought the grill was great. When it was time to go we stuck it in the pouch, waited 15 20 minutes, placed it in the car, and we were off to sit in traffic.

Now for my one complaint. When i first set up the grill, I opened the Snuff Out Pouch to insert the grill, and one of the seams just came appart, obviously it was not sewn through. I contacted the company that makes the grill by multiple emails and left messages by phone. I thought maybe they could replace the bag rather than me having to return the entire grill to Amazon after using it at Nascar. After 3 days of this, I still had not received a response. So I ended up returning the entire package, and Amazon is sending me another at no charge to me (Nice job Amazon that's why I shop here Amazon knows how important good customer service is!). So now, rather than help a customer, the manufacturer will get a perfectly fine used grill back. Not to mention that I had to sew the stupid pouch so I could use it on Sunday!

Bottom line: Great grill, just hope you never need any kind of support. Knowing that, I liked it enough to re-order a replacement Son of Hibachi.

10-19-2009

UPDATE !!!!!! I think it's only fair that I update this review. About 10 days after I first contacted the manufacturer of the grill and pouch, 4 days after receiving the new grill and pouch from Amazon, I came home from work to find a package on my doorstep that contained a new Snuff-out pouch. So....like the first pouch, I am torn (sorry). As it turns out, they heard my plea for help and sent me a new bag (nice job), but if they had replied to my email or called me on my cell phone (which I had provided in every one of my emails and voicemails)to let me know they were going to send the new bag, it would have saved me a lot of trouble! So, the manifacturer does provide decent customer service, just a bit confused.

One last thing on the new grill, the small plastic handle on the center tray cracked on first use. I applied a little epoxy, and all is fine. Main point I LOVE THIS LITTLE GRILL !!!!!

May 2011

Another UPDATE: I've used the grill about a dozen times in the past year, I still recommend to everyone who asks me about it. If you go to concerts, ballgames, etc., spend the money, you won't regret it. The bag holds the grill and has a pocket in which I carry a knife, fork and flipper, and even a small plastic cutting board all in one unit that you can carry with one hand.

Honest reviews on Son of Hibachi Combo with Snuff out Pouch

Extremely pleased with grill. Works exactly like description states. Takes less time to heat and less charcoal. Fold up for storage. We are campers and every time we use, we have people wanting to know what kind of grill this is and where we purchased it. Great improvement over previous Hibachi!!!

Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for Son of Hibachi Combo with Snuff out Pouch

Son of Hibachi displays excellent design in every aspect. From the moment you take it out of the box, you realize that this grill was worth every penny. The unit is heavy-duty, beautifully finished, and the chimney start and snuff pouch work as advertised. The grills are pre-coated in wax to insure proper seasoning during the first chimney start.

Yes, the cooking surfaces are small, as the unit is designed to be highly portable. It can cook meat and sides for 2-3 people, or meat only for 3-5 people. If only they made a bigger one! But Son of Hibachi is perfectly suited for grilling dinner for a small family.

This is not a fitted cover as pictured it does not have a drawstring either it has elastic around the entire cover including the section that hangs at the base...there are better covers out there that cost 1/3 the price....

Practically raised in my parents BBQ store. Familiar with Music City Metals. So I bought this knowing that the venturi space was a tad wide. It will fit, takes a little finesses to get it in. When you screw on the venturi's, slide them forward before tightening. Turn the burner slightly sideways when putting the venturis past the hole and then back to normal. Hold it up and make sure the valve assembly slides fully into the venturis and make sure it's centered in the base of the grill. It takes a little maneuvering but it will work. I wish the venturi holes were a little more narrow, but it's the same burner they have always had, made for several different models/brands of grills. Once you get in, it cranks heat. I let it burn off all the built up gunk on my grill for a good 15-20 mins and it was pushing out smoke. I've had my MHP WNK for almost 20 years now and it's the best grill ever. It's simple which is all I need. I knew it was basically a remake of the original Charmglow which I worked on many of them through the years. I've replaced burners and grates, but the hull is in perfect shape. Repaint it every once an awhile. I Love My MHP.

The burner does not sit at the proper depth in the bottom of the grill, and the venturi tubes are just a bit to short. Not quite what I was expecting. Will most likely go back to the stainless steel burners...

Honest reviews on Music City Metals 21002-78002 Cast Iron Burner Replacement

It puzzles me that this vendor would post diagrams of the product with precise measurements and then ship me a product with slightly different dimensions. The drawing shows the inlet pipes spaced at 2 1/4 on center. The product's inlet pipes are spaced 2 3/8" on center or perhaps wider. That additional width creates challenges. I thought seriously about returning it, but I had people coming over for dinner so I forced it to fit. It's working, but it's not seated properly. It's suspended by friction and I'm not happy about that. On a positive note, this product is built like a tank.

This H burner burns even flame around its entirety. However, it did not line up perfectly with the ignitor and the burner would not light until I raised up the ignitor with washers so that it would be nearer to the gas from the burner. That was minor as it now works better than the original stainless burner and it should outlast it. I highly recommend this burner for a replacement for MHP grills. Shipping was fast, great seller! I could not be happier!

Buy Weber Baby Q (Q 100) Portable Gas Grill

Weber Baby Q Portable Gas Grill
Customer Ratings: 5 stars
Buy Now
Summary: Easy to assemble, easy to start, great grill marks, easy to clean, size is medium (4 steaks or 12 thighs) seems small till you open the lid.

Assembly: Simple: Attach lid w/2 pins, screw handle on lid, slide cap on regulator, then slide in grease pan.

Tip: I really urge you to buy a hose adapter and hook up to a larger tank, but if you have to use smaller tanks it uses the long 14oz tanks sold in the hardware department, or remove the outside screw to the tank holder ring and bend it out so you can use the regular 16.4 oz tanks from the camping department.

StartUp: I am still amazed, turn regulator knob to start and push the ignitor and it lights up!

Break in: None..but the grill is NOT nonstick, Just wash the grill before the first use. (It is coated to prevent rust, not to be non-stick), so use oil on the food. Heat up the grill first for 10 or 15 minutes to get hot and oil grate to prevent sticking. I talked at length with Weber about the cooking grate and you do not season this grate!

Cooking: Anything you want to cook fast, GO HIGH...burgers, steaks, shrimp...great grill marks. (I just couldn't make a good steak on a portable gas grill until now). Great taste! Anything else, GO LOW...dogs, brats, potato wedges, corn on the cob. Always cook chicken on low or skins will burn and stick. You can also just mix the oil in with a marinade.

Flare up: Almost none. I intentionally cooked very fatty thighs and got very little flare up, but did get lots of splatter making the chicken turn dark, but it cooked off. Just trim a little...

Clean up: Just scrape, burn, and scrape grate again with brass bristles. If that doesn't work don't be scared to just wash it. For the inside I just scrape down towards the bottom with a piece of cardboard so everything falls out the bottom hole into the grease pan. This is very handy.

It stays cool underneath! BBQ on any surface!!!

Hello again, it's been 18 months since I did this review and after being abused all summer and winter and another summer it still works the same as the first day! I've used mine 2 or 3 times a week in the summer and at least once a week for football and NASCAR. I heat my grate for 10 minutes, brush it, take it off and spray it with a garden hose (every time), heat again for 5 minutes then spray with oil and still not one speck of rust. How you clean yours is up to you, all I'm saying is it's virtually rustproof.

TIPS: I put it in a plastic storage container with all the stuff that goes with it, then put it on the pontoon boat, take it back out and bbq right on top of the plastic container! Who needs expensive carriers when you can buy a wheeled plastic storage container and use it as a bbq table too. I also put a little thermometer on the front top, drill one hole and it screws right on. Oh, and one last thing, I only used $27.00 of propane the whole time (3 tanks)..how bout that!

Three years and still goin strong. I haven't replaced anything!

My other BIG Charbroil Gas grill has since rusted away and needs new grills and drip plates.

Four years and I still haven't had to replace anything. It still works as good as the day I bought it and the cast iron porcelain-enameled cooking grate still has NO RUST!

Five years and I still haven't had to replace anything. It still works as good as the day I bought it and the cast iron porcelain-enameled cooking grate still has NO RUST!

Seven years and still works great. Even the electronic starter still works. I bought another one on clearance from a lumber store because the box had a hole in it for $129.00. I took my seven year old one out to the back yard and washed it and sprayed it with Krud-Kutter all over and got most of the grease off. Took a brass brush and cleaned the burner good opening all the holes back up and spent about 25 minutes really scraping and brushing the grate and it still heats up to 500 degrees in about 15-20 minutes. I finally got some rust on the grate by leaving it out in the winter for a week with no cover and one of the few times it snowed here the grill was open. Just clean it and oil it back up. It works as good as the new one. I have thermometers on the front top of both of them and they work identically. I may take a video of both of them for you.

If small spur of the moment gatherings are your thing then this is the perfect grill for you.

Here's why:

1) Its small size makes it a very portable grill thus allowing you and your peeps to escape to the beach or hang out in the alley behind your flat to enjoy some "flame kissed" cow product.

2) Its small size makes it perfect for burgers and dogs for 4-6 friends but if you are cooking for a backyard full of friends and family you may want to consider a larger grill.

3) I own this grill as well as Thermos' "Grill-2-go". The "flame kissed" burgers that this "baby-q" churns out are much tastier than the G2G's greasy rendition of the all american beef patty treat.

Best Deals for Weber Baby Q (Q 100) Portable Gas Grill

First of all, gotta give Amazon their just creditordered on Feb 2nd, and received grill on the 6th using Super Saver shipping. Can't beat that.

I'm a former professional chef and I wanted a grill that would work well, but didn't need a larger(and much more expensive) gas grill. I have a commercial smoker, a deep fryer, and a 4 burner cooktop that I use more often than I grill, so a big monster of a grill would just take up space and use more gas for the 10-12 times a year I would use it. The portable grills I had tried in the past were all cheaply made and suffered from poor design which led to flare ups and burning. I was hesitant to go with the Weber, but took the chance based on user reviews I saw here and elsewhere. I'm glad I did.

I opened the box to find a very nicely constructed grill made out of quality materials. Assembly took all of 3 minutes(just attach handle with 2 screws and lid with two cotter pins, then drop grill into place). Heavy cast iron grill for good grill marks over well designed burner system. Very nice so far. I attached grill to 20# tank using adapter I also ordered which lets me supply the Weber from the same tanks I use for the other cooking equipment. Adapter dosen't require removal of anything from grill so you maintain total portability if you need it.

Grill fired on first push of starter button, and after about 5 minutes of pre heating I threw on a couple of burgers. Cooking went well with minimal flaring, and the cast iron grill gave great marks just like in the pretty pictures you see in magazines. It has only seen the one test cook, but this grill is well worth the money IMO, and I believe it has a great future on my deck. The size is ample for 4-5 ribeyes or 2 large T-bones or maybe 8+ burgers. This is fine for me as my grilling is usually limited to 2-4 people. The Weber Q is the Baby Q's larger sibling and it is slightly larger if you need the extra space.

Only possible concern you might have is your need for a side burner, smoker, or rotisseree attachment if you don't have these needs otherwise covered. But for pure grilling, I see nothing to complain about with the Baby Q.

Honest reviews on Weber Baby Q (Q 100) Portable Gas Grill

I had one problem when my grill arrived that I'd like to share. After unpacking and attaching a 16oz propane tank, I attempted to fire up the grill. A note on the grill said it could take several pushes of the igniter to actually get the grill going but after about 10 pushes, I still couldn't see a flame. I read how the flame was hard to see in bright daylight but the smell of propane was getting stronger so I turned off the grill immediately. Weber recommends you wait 5 minutes to let the gas disperse from the burner before attempting to light the grill again so I did just that. 5 minutes later, I try my 2nd attempt and nothing happened.. again. I used a lighter to force the grill to lite and that worked like a charm. But I was still bothered by the igniter not working initially.

I decided to call up Weber's customer service number and spoke to a very kind lady. She told me that she can guarantee that the problem involves a piece of the igniter unit not being lined up correctly with the burner. I thought it was a faulty igniter but since the unit was brand new, that was highly unlikely. Anyway, I got off the phone only after registering my grill with them. 24/7 customer service is a great idea although for a company that primarily makes grills, I thought it was pretty much overkill; oh well, more power to the consumer. After the grill had cooled down, I removed the grate and scrutinized the alignment of the igniter piece with the burner. Right away I could see things weren't lined up correctly so I got a wrench, loosened the burner and fixed everything accordingly. I replaced the grate, turned on the propane and on the first click, the flames came on.

Compared to my previous grill which was a Coleman Roadtrip Party grill, this grill is a vast improvement. There are no hot spots and food appears to cook evenly just like everyone else says. I now wish I can use it everyday to prepare my meals; who says I can't.

I have now used my Weber Baby Q for about a month and find it to be the best grill that I have used in a long time. It is small enough that I can easily use it as a tail gate or camping grill, and yet big enough that I can cook a lot of food at one time.

Two features worth mentioning are that the grill drippings, which typically on small grills cause flare-ups, are directed by the cast grill away from the flame to prevent any flare-ups.

The second feature worth mentioning is that the grill cooks a little faster and more evenly than smaller stamped steel type portable grills.

One last feature that I will mention is that the grill cleans up easily as the body is cast aluminum and the grill surface has some sort of coating on it to prevent stickage.

Don't hesitate to buy this grill--you will be very happy with your purchase.

Solid grill lid and housing.

Sides are shelves are cheaply made, plastic edges and they don't stay attached when moving (design flaw)

Warming rack is only that. Don't cook anything on it because any grease will drip back on to lid and then on to ground.

Basically, it is better material than a Kenmore style grill, but the Kenmore grill has a better design.

Only had it for two weeks, but the quality of workmanship is clearly higher than anything we've ever had. All of the parts were present. All of them fit well. The instructions are only pictures with arrows. As a word guy, I'd like a little narrative there. Took a lot longer to assemble than they had suggested. Earlier complaints about Broil King packaging and shipping were unfounded here. Package arrived intact and wrapped in such a way it would be unlikely any damage would ever occur.

First, these didn't drop into place on my Charboil 463440109 grill. With a little bending (wear safety glasses because the porcelain chips off) I got it into the right spot. Other than that is is about the same look and quality as the original.

Second, this is a single heat plate. My grill has 4. From the description I was pretty sure I was only going to get one but was hoping that it was a kit. Honestly, spending nearly a hundred bucks to replace these bent pieces of metal seems a little crazy, especially considering that they only last a few years before they rot away.

I'll be ordering the Char-Broil 4986272 3-Piece Universal Vaporizer Bar to replace the other 3.

The heat plates were a perfect fit. I was disappointed I had to buy them individually, for that was pricey. Quick shipment on behalf of the seller, for I received it earlier than expected! Great product with a perfect fit for my grill!!

Fit my grill as advertised. Each of the heat plates were good quality and fit as the original product did.

I thought at first this must be a listing for all 4 heat tents, only to realize it is only for a single heat tent. No bueno. From the Charbroil website the original part is only $9.99/per (part #G430-0005-W1) why would you spend this much for a part that isn't an OEM fit?

We live on the coast, so grill parts rust out quickly. This part was really sturdier than what came on our grill originally. Our grill now works like new.

Took me a little while to justify spending more on the grate than the smokey joe itself. I finally decided to buy after cooking various meats without a grill mark. It makes an instant difference on the food. I have a weber gas grill w/ cast iron grates and this makes a better mark. As with all cast iron, you have to deal with the weight and upkeep. This will rust if you leave it outside without any cover. If you are serious about grilling, this is a must.

What a perfect addition to my Smokey Joe grill. I've always had trouble getting grill marks on meat with the original grates. These hold in the heat perfectly to give grill marks.

I have a Weber Smokey Joe charcoal grill. It's perfect for 1-2 people and doesn't use much charcoal. Why oh why does Weber continue to supply their round units with crappy, stainless wire grills? Finally, a company has stepped in to fill the void. The iron grate is easy to install and use and does a superb job due to its even heating. I've used it for many months with no complaint. Go ahead and buy it--you won't be sorry.

I really need to get the solid grill plate half for veggies so they won't fall through the grate! Especially green beans and asparagus.

These are quality cast iron grates and raises the quality of the results from my Weber Smokey Joe. I now get steak house tasting and looking meals from my grill. Clean and oil while still warm and these grates will not only last but will improve in quality. A perfect addition to my gas grill, my Smokey Joe can do it all when I want to do the charcoal thing.

I've been using this cast iron grate every weekend for about 6 months. The more you use it, the better it gets. You must keep it seasoned like a cast iron skillet or it will rust. It helps to clean it after each use, but I rub a little canola oil on it after each use and leave it in my Lil' Smokey and haven't had any problems with it rusting. The sear and grill marks you get on steaks is fabulous. When I get a larger Weber grill, I'll be sure to purchase one for it too.

I contacted this company to purchase over $120 worth of wood chunks.

I called to check stock availability and to order over the phone.

WOW!!!

The person I spoke to was rude and did not seem to care if I bought their products.

I sent an email to the owner to try to establish a long term relationship with this company.

No answer from the owner.

They may have some good products, but

BEWARE of the reception.

Too many choices today to turn away customers on their first order.

To the vendor's credit, this shipped out immediately though I would have liked a faster shipping option. I haven't used this set of wood yet but they were all uniform 1.5 2" cubes. Fist sized would be preferable, so we'll see how these do.
