Pros:

1. This thing is FAST if you cook on high setting. I had a 4.5lb chicken done in 30 minutes. It will take some experimentation to get the timing just right to allow the skin to brown well as the meat is getting done. For example, the manual says 15 mins/lb for chicken, first half on high, second on low. Don't believe it. You'll probably do better with 15-20 minutes on high and another 10-20 minutes on low on low for a chicken under 5 lbs.

2. The chickens I've cooked so far come out juicy and tender, and very flavorful even with little seasoning.

3. Good value for the price paid, which was nowhere near MSRP.

4. Cleanup is relatively easy so far. Use plenty of cooking spray and don't cook foods with sticky marinade and you'll probably be fine. Dry rubs and injected marinades will work best.

5. Includes skewers for kebabs, hotdogs, etc., and you can also cook roasts, although you'll have a hole down the middle.

Cons:

1. It's hard to get the skin to brown evenly probably due to point two, below. There are three U-shaped heating elements (plus the center element which can be turned off for roasts) which turn on and off in sequence around the sides, and the radiant heat isn't even. I've compensated for this somewhat by manually rotating the chicken once partway through cooking to get a more even browning.

2. It's not a rotisserie, as another reviewer noted, so if you require one, look elsewhere. The heat rotates around the chicken as opposed to the chicken rotating. This means you won't get the same effect of the hot fats moisturizing and crisping on the skin as the chicken rotates. They just drain into the drip pan. The skin still crisps, but it's not quite the same.

3. It's pretty big on the counter.

All in all, I'm pretty happy with this appliance.

As noted by an anonymous or unfortunately named reviewer who believes everyone who disagrees with him is a shill, it can be hard to get the bottom drip pan out cleanly when removing food. This is because the pan fits too tightly around the center heating element. The problem can be avoided by being careful, or possibly widening the opening for the element. It's still four stars for me because it's fast and if you use it correctly, it produces good results.

**Edit 2/28/11**

Ok, with a pair of pliers and a little thought, this thing works much better. I compressed the upper arms of the drip pan that cover the heating element so the separate center heating element cover didn't fit so snugly, and also slightly widened the hole the element passes through in the bottom of the pan. This took maybe ten minutes. Now, when I lift out food using the provided hook, the food and stand lift out, leaving the drip pan in place as intended. Then I can pull the drip pan out separately after it's cooled.

I just cooked a pork loin roast with the center element on (and the oven on High) for about 12 minutes, then off for the rest of the cooking time on low, and it was perfect.

This is not the appliance for you if you want a "set and forget" oven, but it's fast and it will do a good job if your experience in cooking goes beyond the microwave.

This is my 4th type of rotisserie and I think I prefer it to the others that I have owned. You need to remember to reduce the heat when you're fixing chicken. I forgot and it came out to dry, so I made soup. I would purchase it again. There is no rotation, therefore it is very quiet.

This product sits pretty large on the kitchen counter. My chicken did not cook as fast as everyone claimed (30 mins). I had a 4 lbs chicken and it took a little over 1.5 hour on high to cook fully. I think two things this item can improve on are: 1) it doesn't rotate so it shouldn't called it a rotisserie. 2) there are 3 heat wires that only 2 gets turn on at one time. It switches and the other 2 gets turned on. What ended up happening is that for whatever reasons, the chicken doesn't cooked evenly. I've tried it twice and I still haven't managed to master this yet.

Overall, I do like this product. I like the fact that I can add different seasoning, push a button or two and let it cook.

Got three of these heat plates to replace busted ceramic title flare-up plates in my gas grill. Perfect fit and although I've had a few flare-ups the heat plates have survived without a problem. They do come covered in machine oil so a little cleanup is required before placing them into the grill. These 3 steel plates replace the 6 ceramic plates on the Members Mark Grills. They heat up faster and seem to disperse heat better than the ceramic IMHO. The ceramic plates always seems to break quickly, these seem like they will last more than a season.

I find this brush great for a complete thorough cleaning of my grill after barbequing. I hate to say this but after a barbecue party, I am tired and I hate to clean the grill. I usually give the grill a semi-clean job because it takes so much effort to clean the grates when I am tired, and on my next barbeque, that's when I give it a good cleaning before using because I have more energy then. But after my brush fell apart on my last barbecue, I bought this new one to replace it and had the opportunity to use it just this 4th of July. When I fired up the grill to clean the grates before use, like I always do, I find the brush easily scraped off all previous food particles from the grates. After the party, I was tired and expected to just brush off some of the food particles but everything came off so easily. I proceeded to clean the entire grill. Before buying this, I had a much smaller brush that came with a set I bought about three years ago. The old brush worked OK, but because it was so small, it was really a chore to clean my grill and I probably didn't do it often enough. My wife was starting to get fed up with a "dirty" grill, so I wanted something that looked like it would make the buying process a little bit easier.

I happened to see a video for this grill brush on YouTube, and after watching an actual demonstration, I was pretty much sold that this was the type of brush I needed. I still don't enjoy cleaning my grill, but at least this makes the process easier.

Love this grill. Just the perfect size for two people, though will hold more. Previously bought a Webber grill, but it was just too big and wasted too much charcoal. This hibachi is perfect...just like the one we had back in the 1970's. Heavy cast iron and should last many years with proper care!

My hibachi came in excellent condition. My daughter put it together for me with no problems at all. Everything fit together just fine. I'm 'very' pleased with its quality and have been enjoying cooking on it many times since it's arrival. I treated the cast iron cooking grates just as you would a cast iron skillet and seasoned them with oil in my oven before putting on the wooden handles. I've had no problems with food sticking. The height adjustments are great. Just remember....it's cast iron. Don't leave it sitting outside in the morning dew or rain or it will rust. If that does happen, it will clean right up with steelwool then you can re-season it. All in all I'm very pleased! Well worth every cent.

This is a genuine Weber replacement part for my Q120 gas grill. Very easy to install and works without issue.I only replaced the igniter. I did not have to replace the ceramic probe as mine was still working properly. At least I have a spare now.

I wanted to like this grill, but I cannot. First impressions are lasting impressions. To being with they attach a paper label to the lid with super glue. I had to mar my brand new grill just to remove some paper. That sucked. Second, they did not provide enough nuts and bolts to finish the construction. Frustrating. Then to top it off, the damn thermometer does not work. I will never buy or recommend a Char-broil product. If they cannot take care of the simple things how can they do anything well.

The offset smoker I purchased is similar to this one but the exact model (the Hondo)has been discontinued. It also has a "New Braunfields" name on it but, nonetheless; it is a Charbroil smoker. After owning it for 5 weeks the weld on the firebox side door broke. The smoker is unusable like this. I was told that they would replace the firebox if I paid for the shipping. I refused. All of the welds on this smoker are only tack welded. Made sturdy enough to get it out of the door. Avoid any product with the "Char-Broil" or "New Braunfields" name on it. It is void of any and all quality and care to it's construction. These products are not worth the cardboard box they come in. In addition to this the shelf was damaged, the thermometer face turned around the pointer making the temperature accuracy within an 80 degree range and missing various other smoker parts. Going to the scrap pile after less than 2 months use. Cutting my losses.

I had special ordered an expensive CharBroil natural gas grill about 8 years ago and was only able to use it a year or two before it fell apart. I was aware of these grills being garbage. I would not have purchased this smoker had I known it was a Charbroil. The 'New Braunfields" name tricked me.

I bought this smoker now two full summers ago and used it approx 25 30 times. By in large, the smoker smoked the ribs, chicken, pork, and beef pretty well. But learning the intricacies of the smoker proved to be an adventure. First, this smoker is pretty unpredictable. it chews through coals fast. I averaged about a full coal load every 3.5 hours at about 250-300 degrees. Second, it leaked so much smoke and temperature, i had to place bricks on top of the smoker box and oven. Third, even though the grill came covered in some kind of smelly rust repellent, the paint quickly wore off at 450 degrees and became a rust magnet. i'm expecting the smoker box to rust completely off here in the next few weeks, which is why i'm back on amazon looking at prices. The unit was good for easy smokes where lack of precision can be forgiven, but it was tough on me when i tried to smoke chicken and brisket.

Oh, and you really could only smoke one thing at a time because the heat concentrates in the first third of the oven. The grates are usually a 100 degrees hotter on the left side than the right side. This is a big problem if you are doing several chickens or big slabs of ribs. I ended up buying four different temp units to monitor grate temp left, grate temp right, center hanging, and internal meat temp.

So, if you like the thrill of unpredictability when you smoke, and wanna go cheap, this is your unit.

One thing you can do with this unit kind of well is grill meat in the oven box. I did several jerk chicken meals that way that turned out really well. You gotta watch it though, since the coals are so close to the grill. But i marinated my chicken quarters in milk and jerk seasoning for 24 hours and, what should have turned to mush, actually turned out quite good.

My grill stayed in the garage until this cover arrived. When it did arrive, I was very pleased with the overall quality and workmanship from Weber... Nothing to be surprised there... There is only one thing I was not happy with (see below).

Pros:

The grill cover is very heavy duty, thick material

Perfect fit for my Summit S-620

Velcro straps to secure the cover just in case of super high tornado speed winds

Breathable to prevent those hot humid days from leavings marks on your grill

Cons:

A little pricey, but a small price to pay to protect a big investment

Vents in cover are not as shows in picture. The one I received has the vents where the 45-degree slope is, meaning, if rained on, the water will get all on to the side tray & side burner :(

**update ** 1/20/2011**

My cover has survived OK since I bought it. Its been a year+ so far, but, for me, it is stored under a covered patio, so dust is the real major element to protect from. Rain & Sun is mostly not an issue.

I've heard a lot of good things about Weber customer service, so I decided to give them a call and explain my situation about how I was deceived by my purchase and asked for a replacement. Key word, replacement. I told them I'd happily return mine, but they said, we would have no use for it.

Long story short, they apologized... and offered me a discount for a new cover (newest design has no vents at all). But, the price the offered was still higher than Amazon's (THATS WHY I LOVE TO SHOP HERE), so I continued to express my discontent (not whining or yelling, i was very professional). At the end of my conversation, the representative asked me to email her my grill's serial # & a copy of my purchase receipt and she would talk to her supervisor about my situation.

A few days later, she sent me a response saying that they will be shipping me a new grill cover with the new design (no vents at all). Few days later, I received the new cover and I am very very very happy with Weber's professional demeanor and great customer service.

If you feel you got taken on your purchase of this cover, it wouldn't hurt to try giving Weber a call. Its always worth a shot...

The only thing better than the cover is the grill underneath it. It fits perfectly and has done a great job protecting my Summit S-670. I have seen some complaints from people who bought this grill and did not cover it. To invest in a grill this nice and not protect it is a shame. I highly recommend this product. You will never regret buying one.

**UPDATE**

Almost two years since my initial review and this cover is still holding up well. It has protected my grill from severe storms and even some heavy snowfall. Other than some very light fading, it is holding up incredibly well and is showing no signs of wear or tear.

Initially out of the box this is a great grill cover, well designed with large, easy attaching belt-like velcro straps securing this cover at each end of grill, it will not blow off! Like at the ability to check gas tank without having to remove the cover too. But for the cost this cover will go about 6 months before developing cracks in the vinyl usually around the corners near these velcro belts, the cracking of the material just continues to spread and becomes quite distracting to the cover and the fine grill that it is suppose to be protecting. Weber says these are suppose to "last about 2 years, unless you live in Florida..."--unfortunately no this is certainly not true, as the sun evidently is just as hot (or hotter) here in the midwest as we have not ever gotten much more than 6 months before the cracking begins and accelerates to degrade the product. If Weber would only listen to customer feedback and spec to the actual cover manufacturer to use a better material this cover for little more money would be well worth the price...as it is maybe Weber customer service meant to say "...if you live in Florida it will last 2 years!"

Bottom line: Save your money here, and instead buy a polyester bed sheet, securing it to the grill by wrapping a yellow nylon rope around it...will still look better than this cover in 6 months...

This cover is very heavy duty. I haven't had mine as long as many of the other reviewers; so, I can't speak to long-term durability. I'll update after a hot Houston summer or two ... that always gives outdoor plastics hell.

But, the cover is, of course, a great fit for the S-670, with about 2" of ground clearance all the way around and heavy duty Velcro straps to secure the cover to the cart.

The only challenge that I have is what to do with it, when it's off. I hate seeing it thrown on the ground and, so, I've ordered and would suggest something like Liberty Hardware B42302Q-FB-C5 3-Inch Heavy Duty Coat and Hat Hook, Flat Black to help hold the cover off the ground when it's not on the grill.

I purchased a Weber S670 grill last year along with this cover. After 10 months, the cover began to crack, and then rot away. It seems to be made of poor materials that do not stand up to the sun. A high priced cover designed for Weber's flagship grill is just flat out dissapointing to say the least. I am replacing it with a Mr. BBQ cover that, from experience, should have a 4 to 5 year lifespan.

Similar to the Weber 6453 Style Rib Rack, this kabob set is something you'd really only get as a gift for someone, or if you happen to be a fan of the Weber brand and Style series.

You're paying a relatively big premium over the Weber 6405 All-Purpose Kabob Set, and losing a kabob slot. But, you also receive one of the nicest looking kabob sets around, and it comes in a very nice full color box that looks nice as a gift and would be easy to wrap.

The two-prong design on the skewers is really very good. They do a better than average job of keeping your food from spinning around randomly, when you're turning them. The Weber logo on each skewer is a nice touch, but they'll most likely turn brown by the time your kabobs are ready, and they're kind of a pain to keep clean.

The wide handles on either side of the rack make it very easy to take your kabobs from the grill to your table, but like the rib rack, it will be extremely hot (especially if you're cooking with direct heat). You have to be very careful about where you put the rack, because it retains heat quite well.

You may notice in one of the pictures, the person holding the rack has two Weber Barbecue Mitts. Take it from someone who learned the hard way: you should have two of them, too. Depending on your tolerance for heat, you've got about 20 30 seconds to get from the grill to your destination with those mitts, before things start getting painful. Don't even try it with regular oven mitts, unless your table is directly next to your grill.

Personally, I don't mind paying a little more for the double skewer design and the look of the Style series. The only drawback is that Weber doesn't offer additional skewers in a retail pack. I'd love to have about 10 more, so I could really keep a cookout with kabobs going. More likely than not, I'll give them a call and see if I can buy them from their parts department, and update this if they're willing to sell the skewers separately.

This is the second Weber Kabob set I've gotten in the past 3 months. The first one was a gift that I received for Christmas. The weld on the cross bars had broken. I tried to mend it with a high heat metal repair kit but was unsuccessful, so I tossed it and ordered another set. This one arrived with one cross bar totally off of the frame and the other bar held on by one weld. The welding stinks and this set will not hold with food on the skewers. Waiting to hear from the shipper about a refund. Very disappointed that Weber would put their name on this piece of junk.

There are lots of decent kebob sets out there, and for the most part, all do their jobs acceptably well. Most are priced well below this set. But if you're as interested in presentation as much as you are taste, the higher price of this set is worth it.

The shape and finish are very nice, and unlike a couple other reviewers, I found the quality of both workmanship and materials to be excellent. The double skewers do a great job of preventing skewered items from just rolling loosely when you attempt to turn your kebobs over for even cooking.

There's plenty of room for nice big hunks of meats, vegetables, fruits, or whatever else you're skewering, too. Many other sets don't leave quite as much room between skewers on the rack, thereby limiting the size of anything you put on the skewers. The trade-off for being able to use larger pieces is that instead of 6 kebobs at a time, which is common with other sets like this, you can only grill five kebobs at a time with this one. That presents no problem here, as we rarely cook for more than four.

The real payoff comes when you lift the rack with your finished kebobs out of your grill and carry it to where your guests will be served. They present so much more nicely on this rack. Of course they won't be on that rack for long, just long enough for your guests to see how nice it all looks before being served, but hey, first impressions mean a lot, right? And your guests are worth it!

Pros:

The two prong design on the skewers really does work. Easy to turn and the meat, veggies, fruit doesn't "sping" on the skewer.

Rack design allows you to cook over the heat and not have it directly on the grates. Avoids food "sticking" to the grates.

Rack design allows the entire rack to be put on the grill or removed from the grill at the same time.

Cons:

As to be expected with metal skewers they get HOT. Really HOT. Expect 10 minutes to cool enough to handle after they are removed from the heat.

The pretty stainless steel only stays pretty through one use.

As other reviewers noted the rack gets REALLY Hot. Those barbecue mits really are a good idea. DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT TRYING TO MOVE IT WITH REGULAR OVEN MITTS.

Double skewers and the flat little handle on the end make turning kebabs a breeze .. no fiddling with spinny bits of meat or onion like with single skewers. For this alone, these get four stars.

Also with single skewers, sometimes vegetables like green peppers, onions or mushrooms get split entirely in two when you try to put them on the skewer, or worse fall off while cooking when you turn the kebabs. With the double skewer, this almost never happens.

So far the rack has stayed in storage .. much easier to cook kebabs directly on the grill although I understand that some cooks prefer to cook them over an open heat source and the rack would provide that, but no one has complained about grill marks yet!

I only wish I could find these skewers without the rack and save a few bucks. That would be a five star deal.

We wanted to upgrade our existing woodburning firepit with one that was easy to use and did not produce choking smoke that invaded the whole neighborhood. This grill was the perfect solution. It was easy to assemble and the logs make it quite realistic. It also throws off ample heat for cooler nights. We did think it was a bit expensive but it is very nice looking and seems to be a quality product so overall we are very satisfield with our purchase and would recommend it.

I got these to replace the original bars on my Genesis E-320. The original bars (porcelan coated steel) were rusting, probably due to exposure to a fire extinguisher.

I decided to spend more for the stainless steel set mainly for the promise of easier cleaning ... just heat them up and scrape them clean.

Well, after two uses, I'm totally pleased with the results. They fit perfectly (of course) and they work fine. Cleaning is a breeze as well since they're easily scraped.

This product is of good quality. It perfectly fits into the grill so there is no "jury-rigging" required. The problem is that it is WAY overpriced for what it is. it is literally bent stainless steel sheet cut to length. I would buy a knock-off product next time.

I have a Genesis E310 which came with the porcelain-coated steel flavorizer bars. Those just don't last, and will rust through in a couple years if you do a lot of outdoor cooking.

These stainless bars fit perfectly and will likely outlast the rest of the barbeque. Easy to install, just lift out the old rusted bars and set these down in their place.
