This has to be the worst grill I've ever operated. My last grill was a cheap Walmart Model that lasted about 6 years and I Had a hand me down before that so I'm not comparing this too a Weber or anything. The flair-ups are horrible even on the lowest setting. Assembly was easy, and that's about the only thing it has going for it.

The cooking surface was not well coated and the food stuck to it easily. The plate over the burner is made from very thin, cheap looking metal that looks like it won't last long and little to prevent flair-ups. Cooking surface is also too close to the burner/plate. Even on the lowest settings the flair ups would rocket temps to 600 degrees, quickly charring the steak (it does not have a temp gauge, but I used an internal one). If you like burnt on the outside and not cooked on the inside this is the grill for you. Impossible (as designed) to cook properly, steak should not be blackened, as is carcinogenic, yet impossible to prevent with this grill. I'm going to try briquettes before completely giving up on it, only because I already assembled it and don't want the hassle of returning.

I guess it's what I get for buying an American made product of this type and expecting quality while getting a poor design and cost cutting on surface coatings, etc. I would like to buy American; even bought this two burner for about the same cost as a stainless four burner made overseas. I read the rave reviews here and ignored a bad review of a similar model by the same manufacturer (that also complained about the flair-ups). So disappointed.

My Amazon ordered for this grill was filled very quickly, ordered on Saturday and it arrived on Thursday. No damage to the box and everything inside was fine. I'm a very slow "assembler" but it took only 90 minutes from opening the box to grilling. Most importantly NO moments of frustration/anger during assemble. Construction is very good, considering it's an inexpensive grill and the instructions where not that difficult to understand.

About the grilling it has an even and HOT fire. Have done burgers and a few steaks and I'm very happy with the results. No flare ups.

I've always bought more expensive grills $500+ and the result for grilling steaks was no better than the Huntington. When the Huntington starts showing its age, I'll replace it with a new one. With my previous expensive grills, I had to nurse them along a few more years, to get my money's worth.

For everyday grilling for the two of us this grill is perfect.

I'm rating these 5 stars because they're saving my fingers! These gloves keep the heat off your hands but they also help you keep a good grip! I've used regular oven mitts on the grill but they don't grip well and I usually end up spilling what I'm grilling into the fire. This glove is amazing! Of course I had to "try" a few things with it. Taking something out of boiling water is a snap and grilling becomes a game. Picking up hot items is so easy. I think it would be great for canning---picking up the hot jars. Will have to try that next. I have had the glove for just a couple of weeks so there are many other uses I'm sure.

I had purchased this grill in summer 2010 actually from a quality grill shop that beat Amazons price. I had initially only heard the name before but not familier with their products but after some research I found out they are a cousin company to Weber so that being said I went ahead and bought it, though normally I am a charcoal guy my apartment complex wouldn't let me have a charcoal grill so I had to settle with this. My first time grilling with this I was quite amazed at how juicy my food was, I like grilling alot of chicken, and steak as well as corn. This thing heats up in no time at all and at that, it can reach high temperatures that the inexpensive grills at wally world won't do perfect for cooking steaks, and for the money is really a good buy as far as overall quality goes. The side tables are a little flemsy but the rest of the grill is of fairly decent quality with cast iron grates very heavy and easy to clean. It is not a huge grill but it does have enough cooking space for most people will do for a small family. I would buy this grill again it's a winner for me!

I purchased this grill in late January at an off season price. The grill was received with no damage to it or the packaging. I have grilled pork chops, burgers, tri tips and steaks. All have turned out the way we want them. The cast iron grates leave nice marks if you are worried about that sort of thing. The Broil King gets very hot and will sear your steaks and burgers nicely. Research shows that OEM and aftermarket parts are readily available for this grill.

The assembly instructions can be confusing if you do not take your time and examine the pictures. Its all diagrams without written instructions. I had no problems and had it assembled in about an hour.

For the price you are not going to find a better propane grill. This grill is a bit old school in its look but is built to last. If you can't afford a Broil King take a look at Broil Mates by the same manufacturer.

I don't own a BBQ but I purchased this to have light available for food preparation in my kitchen during a blackout (power failure). The two magnets in the base seem very strong and hold it FIRMLY on many surfaces I have tested -gas range, sink, refrigerator, wire shelving, bathroom medicine cabinet, metal door jamb, and also the shaft of a torchiere lamp (which would be otherwise useless during a blackout).

I now use the C-clamp to hold it, sort of permanently (until the next blackout :-), on a work table to give me extra task lighting when needed.

The batteries recently wore out (after several months of intermittent usage) and they were easy to replace -no difficult/tricky latches or maneuvers to wrestle with. I like it so much I am buying more for myself and a friend.

These gloves are great for the money spent. First thing I would like to talk about are the pros and later I will discuss the cons.

The Pros of this product are numerous.

1. As long as you are wearing long sleeves, the comparatively short gloves are completely sufficient at protecting your wrist and forearm.

2. Durable in high heat

3. Comfortable inside lining

4. Rather stylish

The Cons are.

1. When gripping metal at around 800 degrees Fahrenheit (roughly 400 C) These gloves start to melt a little bit and are not sufficient at keeping out the heat.

2. It is hard to clean the inside lining. Especially if you are grilling with raw meat and a rub. So wash your hands first. I know this is a bit of a hassle but you don't want to tear your inside lining, which can happen when you clean it.

The cons are only applicable in certain circumstances which is why I would recommend this product. It is going to rock the gloves off your basic oven mitten :-)

I was looking for something to use with my propane grill that would allow me to remove various cooking utensils (mostly skewers and my fish-grilling basket) from the grilltop with more dexterity than the usual oven mitt. These gloves are handsome looking and very comfortable, but are nearly useless when it comes to heat resistance. If I grip a hot skewer for the 5-10 seconds required to remove meat or vegetables from it, my hand becomes very uncomfortable and I have to shift the skewer from one hand to the other. After just three uses, the fingertips of both gloves have partially melted and show the imprints of the round skewer heads on them. I have cotton oven mitts that are more heat resistant than these gloves, which is a shame because the gloves are very reasonably priced and seem nicely constructed. I would not recommend these for use with a barbecue grill. I am amazed that other users have given them such high praise; maybe the manufacturer has cheapened them or I got a defective pair.

UPDATE: I happened to look back on this review (July 2013) and I see the photo of these gloves has changed. The pair I received were made of black and red suede. The current photo shows an all black glove with what appear to be plastic appliques. Therefore, my review may no longer apply to this newer product.

I bought this glove because the top handle of my charcoal grill would hurt to touch when lifting the lid off. It works great for that purpose, I don't feel any heat when lifting the lid. I was also able to use it to pick up a vegetable grilling pan right off the grill and dump the vegetables instead of having to pick them up with tongs. After about 30 seconds I was starting to feel the heat off the pan through the glove, but it worked well for that purpose. It's also been great for moving lit fire logs around in a campfire. The glove it pretty long and covers up to my forearm, the ability to use it on either hand is also a great feature.

If you have BIG hands do not buy this product, one size does not fit all. I could not get my hands in this mit, I tried cutting the tips off the fingers and I still could not get my hand in much less close my fist. They should have small, Med, large and extra large. I hope this is helpful, I wish someone mentioned this.

This was exactly what I was looking for. It's hard to find a hose with a propane tank connector, regulator attached, and is more than 18". This was 4 feet and it works perfect. Searched numerous locations and stores to include HD and Lowes. All they carry are the 18" lengths. Additionally, this was half the price with 3 times the length. That's a bargain!

I actually use this to shine light on sheet music. The clip wraps nicely around a standard music stand. The mechanical parts are well designed so the light can be re positioned as necessary.. The problem is Cuisinart skimped on LED's. White LED's are inexpensive now, so they could have have easily doubled the count. Furthermore, there is no cover to protect the LED's other than some weak paper. Despite the shortcomings, this is the best battery-powered music stand light I have found to date. Recommended for amateur musicians. Serious BBQ-ers might be able to find something better with an AC cord.

This grill is quite different from other grills in that it is made of diatomaceous earth material (think of a very fine-grained, hard clay). The clay material does not absorb heat readily and thus a small amount of charcoal maintains a hot fire for a longer period of time. I love the grill and highly recommend it. It does not come with a cover or dome. Go to Target or Walmart and buy a stainless steel mixing bowl of the correct diameter, drill a hole in the center, attach a drawer knob, and you have a cover or dome! It's a great product, cooks like a ceramic grill at a fraction of the cost.

This is a fun grill to use. Very efficient. Requires about 8 briquets of charcoal with about 1/2 of those left over to use next time. Cooks meat and vegetables quickly. The portability makes it useful and easy to use anywhere.

This is the charcoal grill I have been searching for at a great price. It is small enough for economical everyday use and rustproof. Extremely high and low heat are both easy to achieve. I just hose out the ashes the next day and am good to go. This unit is heavy and may not travel well. You can broil steaks in a half hour and still do hotdogs in two or three hours with one load of charcoal.

Overall, the Grill is OK for this price. The material used to make this grill seems to be authentic--the same material used for the Japanese Shichirin Grill making. However, this one is too shallow--not deep enough to hold decent amount of charcoal. Second, it might be good to note in the instruction that this Grill would operate better if your charcoals are "Bichou-zumi", the Japanese Charcoal used for this type of Grill, especially when grilling Yakitori, rather than regular charcoals sold in the US for regular barbecue grilling. "Binchou-zumi" lasts very long and does not turn into completely ashes in a normal operation. Additionally, "bichou-zumi" creates no charcoal order nor transfers it to your food. I recommend to use a combination these two items to grill perfect, if not, near perfect Yakitori.

Bought this for myself for fathers day and use it primarily for yakitori style cooking, i.e. skewers or kabobs. It has held up nicely through the past 3 months and cooks very well. The capacity of charcoal takes some getting used to as you tend to put more in than you need. The ceramic walls reflect the heat from the coals so minimal coals are necessary and mininal coals helps eliminates the hot spot in the center. Grill is very thin coated wire and requires hard cleaning. Best to find a replacemnt grill with thicker gaugae wire. Cooking capacity is fine, as I can get 8 skewers on the grill with enough space to rotate. Well built and it delivers.
