The stainless steel set is terrific...Nice quality, good sturdy long handles and cook surfaces. The case was fine, but we have decided not to use it because we have a large grill complete with drawers. The only item that I personally am unable to use, as the "Head Grill Chef," are the tongs which are too wide for my small hands. My husband uses them instead; otherwise, the entire set is very nice.

I don't appreciate getting emails from sellers asking me to write a review of their product. If I think something stands out, or is a great buy...I'll review it. I was going to save the seller a bad review by just not bothering, but since they've sent me TWO emails now asking for a review here we go:

Cheaply made (in China) poor quality utensils that have rusted in the dishwasher.

The skewers were horrible the rubber that is inside the handle of the skewer melted inside our grill and leaked out everywhere, causing the handle to fall off, and ruined dinner.

The prongs on the corn holders bent when I tried to insert them into an ear of corn...rendering them garbage.

My husband only really cares for the grate brush so make your own assumptions from that.

This is a wonderfully made grill cover. The fabric is superior to any I have previously owned(not that cheap black stuff), I love the color and it is represented well in the photo online. After buying three or four cheap 6 dollar grill covers from wal mart I finaly spent more money to buy a better grill cover. The weather tends to shorten the life of a grill rather quickly. So to help your grill last longer a cover is needed to keep the wather from rusting the metal.

The cheap covers I alway bought would dry rot and crack within weeks. So one day I decided, to put more money into a cover and bought this one. Well I have now been using it for over two yrs and it still works like new. I LOVE IT. So I have now bought a second one for the future just incase when I do need it, It isnt able to be found.

I bought this to use as the boiler for homebrewing beer. It says 30 quarts which is 7.5 gallons. Plenty of room to brew 5 gallons of beer with out boilover. Wrong!!! The pot is only about 6.3 gallons. First batch, boilover! I'm very disappointed in their mislabeling of their product. I'm temped to return them the whole thing, burnt on brew and all. Also the steel is so thin, when they attached the handles the pot warped so the top doesn't lay flat.

Nicely constructed and strong enough for what I needed. The heating element base paint (coating) instantly began to char off upon first use and I'm sure this will lead to eventual rusting but I don't think that will be a major issue. The pot seems to hold up well so far. The timer is a bit annoying. I wish they'd make a way to bypass it. I'm using it mostly for home brewing beer and having to push the button every 15 minutes is just one more thing to keep track off as you are keeping timing on adding hops etc. All in all, well built and I think I'll get many good years out of it.

The stainless pot is a really thin gauge and dents easily. It also rusted a bit where the flame sits the bottom of the pot. Also I would recommend getting a unit WITHOUT the shutoff timer on it. The unit only stays on for 15 minutes and you need to keep messing with it and relighting it. I use this for making beer which requires the burner for be on for about 2 hours at a time. The 15 minute shutoff really sucks and you can't take the timer out.

I rate this product five stars due to a good cost/quality ratio. I use it for homebrewing.

Many complaints about large stockpots have to do with the quality of the handles. I have lifted this pot over 75 times with 12+ pounds of grain and 5.5 gallons of water in it and the handles remain solid as a rock. The metal is a bit thin but I have never scorched wort on the bottom and it cleans up great with a scothbrite pad. The only complaint I have is that when brewing a 5.5 gallon batch of beer, one must start with a pre-boil volume of about 6.5 gallons. This volume of wort is dangerously close to the top of the kettle and boilovers are a problem. This isn't really the fault of the kettle though, just be careful as you approach boiling temps and lower the heat as necessary. This is a great kettle for the money.

I made the mistake of hanging my old Weber mits on the wall and going with some new silicone mits that my wife bought me as a present. I figured they would do a better job. Plus, for some jobs like taking chicken off the rotisserie, I would be able to wash them easier. After all, they were the latest and greatest.

Well I'm back to the old Weber mits again. I found that the silicone mits did not give me as positive of grip plus I found that although they seemed to provide more short-term protection against heat, the silicone mits themselves will get hot and then they retain the heat. In other words, if you were doing something that that would heat up the Weber mit all you had to do was back away and the mit itself would cool off almost immediately. That is not the case with the silicone mits, once they heat up, they stay hot and it keeps adding up until you can't stand to have your hands in them any more. That's why I came back to the Weber mits.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program I'm a Texan (Texaswomyn, right?) so I love smoked meat. Brisket, chicken, ribs, pork chops, beef roast, etc. We've got smokers: two big 'ole charcoal smokers, a big 'ole propane/electric smoker, and I've even got one of them Cameron stove top smokers, (I'm gonna drop the bad grammar now) so I was quite curious about this smoker accessory. First off, it's small. I mean, Rhode Island small. It's about 6 inches long, 3 inches wide and maybe 1.5 inches tall, so the wood you use to smoke with has to be chipped up very small and it doesn't hold a lot; I didn't weigh or measure what it holds but it's probably not over a cup of chips. One big problem is that small quantity of wood doesn't last long enough to provide a good "smoke" flavor and create that highly desired smoke ring on meat.

If your only desire is for a hint of smoke to mask the charcoal (and heaven forbid charcoal lighter fluid) taste from your grilled steak or chicken breast, then this little box will do that, to a small degree. Be sure you soak the wood first so it lasts a little longer and smokes a little more.

And hey, Rhode Island no offense, OK ya'll?

For the amount of smoke flavor that it puts out, soaked wood chips wrapped in a piece of aluminum foil will work just as well. It's a cute little box that holds a small amount of wood chips and delivers an equally small amount of smoke. If you just like to have gadgets and cool looking tools then this will fit the bill. Otherwise, save your money and invest in a roll of heavy duty aluminum foil to fashion your own smoker box and call it a day.

By the way, the lid is sort of hard to get off, and I broke a nail in the process.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program I already have a bigger box-style smoker already. I also have the Cameron stove top smoker. This "Tom Douglas by Pinzon Metal Grill Smoker Box" is kind of small, about you palm size.

However, it's a really well constructed little box...a little bit on the elegant side. Specifically, there is no sharp edge or sharp corner that could be scratch your skin. The holes on the top and bottom are on the smaller size too.

Due to the small size, it won't hold big amount of wood chips. Be expecting to refill wood chips for long cooking.

The cover is a little tight and hard to open and close. I believe the intent is to make sure the cover does not open if you throw it into the charcol. For my big smoker box, I have to carefully lay it down in the grill to keep the cover close.

While trying to refill wood chips during cooking, I put the box in water to cool it down first and then open it safely. This extra step does not add too much hassle, as the bucket for soaking wood chips is usually nearby.

I wouldn't recommend to put smoker box (any smoker box) right on top of the charcoal, as the wood chips will burn out too fast and don't have sufficient time to smoke the food and you will be busy in refilling wood chips.

All in all, a well made nice little smoker box.

My fiancee got me this as a gift after I made my first roast in my new roasting pan. Previously, I had been using the (pretty cheap) fork that came in my barbecue set, and this fork makes a huge difference! The handle is really comfortable to hold, and its a nice long fork, which gives you really good control of the meat (leverage!). Plus, the whole thing is just really sturdy; there's no flexing in the fork while carving or moving, even with a huge roast. The tines are nice and long, so they really plant themselves in the meat. Plus, the fork is really nice looking, the metal was really easy to clean, and there aren't places where food can easily get trapped. very nice!

These were exactly as described and fit perfectly into my weber genesis silver. Saved me a bundle, and now they wont corrode as quickly as the original steel ones, which in their defense, lasted 12 years. But toward the end there were lots of flare-ups. These new bars almost eliminated that issue. I regret not ordering them a few years earlier.

I have had this model for going on four years now and I love it! Some people have unfairly complained about the quality of this grill. It is not a heavy duty broiler and any attempt to use it as such is stupidly dangerous! The grill is intended to be light weight with some portability but more ease of using it in your yard. There are two things you must do with the grill every year:

1 Strip as much of the guts out of the grill as you can. Degrease the entire grill inside and out with a good degrease like Super Clean, sturdy brushes and pressure from a garden hose.

2 After the grill dries touch it up with some high temp enamel grill paint available at the local hardware or big box retailer. While you are at it buy some stainless steel wipes and use them with a little elbow grease to clean the stainless. Now use a screw driver, pliers and perhaps a little WD-40 to tighten up all of the fasteners on the grill.

Prior to assembling any new grill remove all of the parts from the box, lay them out on a floor where you won't loose any parts and inspect them all thoroughly. Call in any loose, missing or damaged parts to Charbroil immediately! They will help you replace the parts or grill. Also buy from reputable dealers only like Amazon. If you don't think you can assemble the grill then don't! There is a good chance that there is a shop in your are that specializes in heating stoves and grills. Most of them will assemble it for you for a fee.

Really folks this grill is so easy to put together as long as you follow the instructions. Yeah it might take you a few hours but with a little TLC this grill will last you for years. You can't go wrong with it.

We purchased a previous version of this grill and it almost burned our house down more than once. It would regularly red-line the temperature gauge when cooking anything other than burgers or dogs. You simply could not get the temperature below 300 degrees with the lid closed. The drippings would pile up from ribs and chicken and eventually catch on fire. I had to replace the main delivery tube, which was $100. We shopped around and anything comparable was more than twice the price so we went with this one, and voila! Same #$&@! different day. We have only cooked brats, dogs, and burgers and it is already flaming up and over heating. If I had to do it again, I would pay the extra money for the Weber, et. Al.

This grill is quite different from other grills in that it is made of diatomaceous earth material (think of a very fine-grained, hard clay). The clay material does not absorb heat readily and thus a small amount of charcoal maintains a hot fire for a longer period of time. I love the grill and highly recommend it. It does not come with a cover or dome. Go to Target or Walmart and buy a stainless steel mixing bowl of the correct diameter, drill a hole in the center, attach a drawer knob, and you have a cover or dome! It's a great product, cooks like a ceramic grill at a fraction of the cost.

This is a fun grill to use. Very efficient. Requires about 8 briquets of charcoal with about 1/2 of those left over to use next time. Cooks meat and vegetables quickly. The portability makes it useful and easy to use anywhere.

This is the charcoal grill I have been searching for at a great price. It is small enough for economical everyday use and rustproof. Extremely high and low heat are both easy to achieve. I just hose out the ashes the next day and am good to go. This unit is heavy and may not travel well. You can broil steaks in a half hour and still do hotdogs in two or three hours with one load of charcoal.

Overall, the Grill is OK for this price. The material used to make this grill seems to be authentic--the same material used for the Japanese Shichirin Grill making. However, this one is too shallow--not deep enough to hold decent amount of charcoal. Second, it might be good to note in the instruction that this Grill would operate better if your charcoals are "Bichou-zumi", the Japanese Charcoal used for this type of Grill, especially when grilling Yakitori, rather than regular charcoals sold in the US for regular barbecue grilling. "Binchou-zumi" lasts very long and does not turn into completely ashes in a normal operation. Additionally, "bichou-zumi" creates no charcoal order nor transfers it to your food. I recommend to use a combination these two items to grill perfect, if not, near perfect Yakitori.

Bought this for myself for fathers day and use it primarily for yakitori style cooking, i.e. skewers or kabobs. It has held up nicely through the past 3 months and cooks very well. The capacity of charcoal takes some getting used to as you tend to put more in than you need. The ceramic walls reflect the heat from the coals so minimal coals are necessary and mininal coals helps eliminates the hot spot in the center. Grill is very thin coated wire and requires hard cleaning. Best to find a replacemnt grill with thicker gaugae wire. Cooking capacity is fine, as I can get 8 skewers on the grill with enough space to rotate. Well built and it delivers.

These were versatile and are nonstick. The major problem I found with them is that you cannot turn the skewers 45 degrees to evenly cook them. There are grooves in the rack and they automatically turn back to the original position. SO to correct the problem you have to turn the meat which then chicken will become too loose and fall off. I don't know if I would purchase them again. You can use them without the racks but that kind of defeats the purpose doesn't it?

Just used this rack for the first time. It did a great job of evenly cooking the meat and veggies. Allows you to turn the skewers during cooking. Only issue is it's $9.00 on Totsy and other sites, so Amazon needs to match this price!
