I've seen this in retail stores for 25% more, but never got around to buying one. I stumbled over it on Amazon, and couldn't beat the price.

I cook a lot of salmon on my Weber Genesis, and have always had a difficult time keeping pieces of fish from sticking to the grill with my regular flipper.

This product solved my problem. It's the perfect size for a 1lb. filet, and the edge is tapered just enough that you can get under the fish without cutting in to it. No more jabbing at the fish to keep it intact, and no more balancing.

This is one solid piece of metal, with no rivets, screws, or weld marks to collect food and debris. There is a black rubber insert under the handle to make it easier to grip. The hook on the end is the perfect length to flip down and hold the grip off the surface it is resting on.

While the item has stood up well to several years of abuse, the turner has it's pros and cons. I have had no issues cleaning it and it still looks the same as when I purchased it, which is more than I can say for the Weber tongs which fell apart. Does the job.

The biggest cons being that it can be difficult to store and leave hanging due to its large size. Could be a bit more egronomic.

I received this product as a gift 18 months ago. It was not until 4 months ago that I purchased a smoker for myself. Since that time, I've used this for multiple smokes anywhere from a single tri tip to 11 shoulders. It definitely meets my expectations. I can link my iPad to the unit and head inside, even upstairs to our bedroom for long overnight smokes. With the alarm settings, I can get some shuteye and not worry about overcooking!

I generally use one probe for ambient temp and one for meat. The app has the ability to send charts of your cook profile. Nice to catalog different cooks and build a bit of a library for weights of meat, cook temp, and time. While not all meat is the same, with a little organization and practice, you'll get a good handle on how long the stalls will last, how long the cook will last, and how long you'll need to rest the meat.

I found I was having a lot of trouble getting the device to sync one day. I really thought it was broken. As a last ditch effort, I replaced the batteries and it linked up immediately! If you're having difficulty getting the bluetooth to connect, try replacing the batteries as that may save you some grief.

I find that this product does everything as advertised! The beauty of the product, and the reason to buy it, is the remote readout on your iphone or ipad. I don't really care that the unit readout is difficult to see in sunlight again that is not why I bought it, and the strength of the device is the remote readout which is fabulous!!

BE CAREFUL OF THE AMAZON LISTING. It lists the unit twice with only $.04 different in price. So you can easily miss the price difference of $79.95 vs $79.99, BUT one has two meat probes and the other only has one! Clearly, an additional $.04 to get the second probe is the choice to be made, BUT again it makes no sense the probe must cost more than $.04. I think this is an inappropriate listing approach by AMAZON, and hopefully they will drop the single probe listing.

So, I blundered my way into buying the single probe, expecting the dual probe package. After I received it and found only one probe, I dutifully followed the AMAZON return policy, which was to first call the manufacturer. So, I called igrill and explained the situation to a customer support person who said that they would take care of it and all I needed to do was email my contact info. I also wanted to buy an air probe. The Customer Support Manager Matt Called me back within 5 minutes and took care of it without hesitation. He apologized for the AMAZON situation and said that they are receiving complaints from others about the confusing listings. So, he set up the order for the second probe at no charge and no shipping. He also packaged the air probe with the order. I received the package within 3 days. I couldn't be happier with their customer support. This was a great effort by a small company with a great product! Thank you igrill!!

Growing up in the 70s and 80's, I held the old (Jetson's-style) belief that computers and technology would simplify tasks in our lives. Although we didn't evolve to have robots cooking and cleaning for us, and I'm still waiting for that flying car, the iGrill made me stop and think about how far we've come.

I can sit inside my house, performing other tasks, while multiple cuts of meat roast low-and-slow on my smoker. I have a graphical log of the temperature increase, and can predict when the food will be done. If I only have one piece of meat, I can also connect an ambient probe to relay the current temperature of my grill. I can send all of this as an Excel spreadsheet for later analysis, satisfying the inner geek, and answering the question I always thought to ask ("how hot is my smoker at various settings?") but could never verify with such accuracy. Isn't technology wonderful??

Still, even though I very much enjoy and recommend the product, I think it's a 3-star. Firstly, it is IMPOSSIBLE to read in any sort of moderate light outdoors, which forces you to use it paired with your phone/pad. I have paired it with my iPad, so if I am outside and want to check the temp on the grill, I need to go INSIDE and look at the temp. Secondly, it's not completely bulletproof, and requires a reset quite frequently (remove batteries, wait 10 seconds, re-hook to the iPad). Thirdly, it eats batteries faster than I would like, although I admit as a fan of low-and-slow I probably stress it more than most. To work around the battery issue, I don't turn it on until well into the smoke.

That said, I still use it every week, sometimes many times a week, and have successfully used it for low and slow pork shoulder, lamb leg, beef roast, and salmon as well as hotter cooking for a cake (yes, a smoked cake!), steak, and many, many chickens. I enjoy the product and would recommend it, even with the hopes that the manufacturer continues to refine and improve the breed as time moves on. If you're not a tech geek, a standalone device is likely better for you. If you are... This is The One.

I ordered my iGrill a few months ago. I've used it six times since then. One of my temperature probes is already reading the room temperature at approximately 180 degrees. I would send it for repair but the probes only have a 30 day warranty! The product itself is only 90 days. There is a reason the warranty period is so short. I wouldn't buy this product again. Like I said cool concept, neat product but poor quality and implementation.

Gave this product a try and I am not a big fan. When you fill this wire skewer with food it spins around and ends up not cooking evenly on all sides of the veggies and meat. You also can not leave a little space between the food like a traditional skewer so parts are not cooked in the middle. I also do not like having to swing the food around and onto the grill. Unlike the way the item is pictured, loaded from end to end with meet and vegetables, typical skewer cooking leaves a bit of space between the items being cooked. When we attempted to do so on these things, all the food just slides together in the middle. We decided to pack the food on more tightly, and we ended up with food that was nicely grilled on the edges, but not done in the center. Being able to marinate more easily is a plus, but I think I'll just go back to marinating before we put the food on a nice flat bladed skewer.

I bought these in Amazon's 4 for 3 promo and they work really well. I loaded mine full of vegetables and grilled them easily. The only problem I had was having heavier vegetables (squash) on top pushing down the light vegetables (bell peppers), but that wasn't a flaw with the skewer and was my own fault. One thing to remember is to chop your meat and vegggies larger then you would for normal skewers. The wire isn't that big around, but the pointy end is thicker than I was used to.

Overall, I really liked these. They do stay cool enough to turn with your bare hands. They are large, but I do think I need more. They aren't as pretty as your normal skewers if you want to serve them to individual people, but they work for a crowd. Great product.

I was so tired of wooden skewers and having to soak them. These skewers can be wound so they fit inside tupperware or ziplocs for marinating. and in any configuration on the grill. And no presoak needed. The only problem with it is that the more food you put on the skewers, the harder it is to flip or rotate everything evenly.

All I can say is WOW! I was skeptical in making this purchase because I've never had a good experience with shish-kebob skewers. The main reason I decided to buy these though, is because I have a round charcoal grill that is very inconvenient to cook on with regular skewers. I bought 4 of them, and after using them once, I'll probably buy more as gifts for friends and family. 4 skewers full of chicken, strawberries, and pineapple held enough food to feed 6 people. While cooking, both ends of the skewers remained cool to the touch while hanging over the edges of the grill. When it was time to flip the food, I simply grabbed each end of the skewer, pulled it taught and rotated it. Unlike every other skewer I've ever used, ALL of the food rotated with the skewer. During cooking, only one strawberry fell off the skewer, which is much better than usual (for me anyway). To wrap up, I'd say that if you like the idea, but are worried about whether it will actually perform as advertised, DON'T. You won't be disappointed by these skewers.

I bought a portable Aussie Grill thinking I could use it in my RV. Well, it worked satisfactorily the handful of times I used it. Then, in less than a year and within the "warranty", one of the telescoping legs broke. I called the Aussie Grill company and at first they said they would send a replacement for free. They then called back and said they no longer make that model and there are no parts. It's under a year old and I have a useless grill. They wouldn't compensate me in any fashion. This company does not back their products. DO NOT BUY AN AUSSIE GRILL!!

I have had this grill for about 5 years now and haven't had any major issues with it. The lantern and side burner are great accessories and looks impressive when all set up. I had to get a replacement igniter but now it works fine.you jut have to leave the lid closed while you light it. The torch is brighter than any gas lantern I have but doesn't supply light to the coking surface due to the lid. After 5 years my lid is finally coming apart but it will only take replacing the bolts on the hinge. Also, the side burner knob has broken off and I'm trying to fine a replacement. The only real con is the shape of the grill. It's very awkward to try to fit it in the car with all of my camping/tailgating gear. All-in-all I would absolutely buy this product again. you can't beat the whole package with all the accessories you get.

I've owned this for 6 months now. Love the stove, even got the grill attachment. Excellent as well. Everything gets extremely hot. I was actually surprise by how hot things get. The cover, however, is too smaller. I end up not using it most of the time. I can see that the corners on the stove will easily rip the cover after repeater use. It is just too tight!! Save your money and just get generic oversize grill cover for your stove. When you do get the camp chef cover on, it does look beautiful.

I wanted an outdoor cook surface for my wife, who is Asian, and who cooks a lot of deep fried and smelly foods. This seemed like the perfect answer. Unfortunately it arrived broken, but the manufacturer quickly shipped out the parts to fix it, no charge. The burners are excellent--high capacity. The frame around it however is a little weak. The shelves on the side, which collapse, are tricky to put up and down--they seem to stick, and I think part of the reason is they are too flimsy. Also, the wheels are very cheap wheels. I would like to see bigger and sturdier wheels on the unit. I would like to see a raised side wall--maybe six inches, around the burners, to help block out the wind. I realize this unit is built to be portable, so they may have made it flimsy to save on weight, but I would like to see a unit that is sturdier and heavier. However, in looking a lot of outdoor cook surfaces this appeared to be one of the best for the price, and it certainly is serving its purpose. We keep it covered in the garage, and my wife simply wheels it close to the back door to our kitchen, and with a rolling butcher block type cart we also purchased, she has an outdoor kitchen set up in minutes.

This was used as a replacement part for a Front Avenue Grill. It was comparable to the original and identical in size. This is a good buy for the money. Quality/durability remains to be seen, however with any metal part where heat is applied and temperatures/humidity vary it is prone to rust. I actually purchased this grill off of GroupOn for 150 + Shipping, but I figured I'd spread my wings and write about it on here for any prospective grill buyers.

As a former alum of a major university and a fan of several nearby professional sports teams, I wanted to find something that would be far more easy and practical compared to charcoal grills, and wasn't afraid to spend a little bit of money in doing so. I saw this and was immediately taken back by its unique design and the fact that it had a deep fryer in the center. So after looking around for reviews (including on Amazon), I decided to pull the trigger.

Upon receipt, it was very well packaged, and surprisingly larger than I had anticipated! It comes basically assembled except for a few things such as a drip pan and container which attaches when you are ready to dispose of unwanted fat and similar fluids. It also has a steaming cover, thermometor for the fryer, and a cutting board, nice bonuses! But boy was it heavy! Not in a bad way, as it is sturdily built, just be prepared when it is zipped up to expect an uncomfortable trip to and from the car. On a similar note with the case, the strap is noticeably thin, so I worried that it would snap. Fortunately it withstood about a 200 yard walk to and from the campground. Just in case, hold onto the hand strap while carrying it and to relieve some pressure off of your shoulder.

I decided to break it out for a dry run in preparation for my school's homecoming next week, and I thought the perfect setting/victims would be my softball team. Upon busting it out, it took a little bit of reading to get everything set up, but I think it was moreso our lack of understanding with what was required. MAKE SURE to get a AA battery for the ignitor. We had forgotten one, but were able to instead light it with a lighter that somebody had, but I'm guessing it works marvelously.

The grill heated up instantaneously, and consists I believe of 3 different lighting locations in the grill, griddle, and deep fryer. The grill is about 2-3 inches below the grill cover, so we made sure to turn it all the way down to reduce burning. I threw 3 quarter pound burgers (the most you can get on the grill at a time), about 10 hot dogs on the griddle, and used the warming plate for buns. Then I filled up the deep fryer with some health-conscious Virgin Olive Oil and threw in a healthy portion of fries. One thing I found great was that since you can control the three main cooking areas separately, I could control the speed at which they were cooked more easily.

After about 10-15 minutes, everything was good and cooked, and served to my teammates. They all commented on how attractive the design was of the grill, and how many different functioning parts there were. Then the taste test. Delicious! No propane residue and the porcelain seared the burgers nicely, albeit a little thicker than usual. Completely even cooking, however, and easy to get the burgers off. Immediately I threw on some more burgers, and even used the griddle as a second "grill" to get 3 turkey burgers up, and had some additional room for more hot dogs. More importantly, the fries came out amazingly.

At this point we discovered something. DO NOT put the steaming cover on the grill portion. There doesn't seem to be enough aeration to keep the propane lit if the cover is on for more than a few minutes, and we thought we had run out of propane fluid. A quick unscrew and rescrew showed that it was in fact still good, and we relit and went on our merry way, feeding a few more teams while we were at it!

Upon completion, we noticed that we had been feeding a constant fire to all of the heating surfaces for an hour, and still had a quarter or half left of the propane tank! Very cost effective if you ask me, especially for what you get. Cleanup was typical, although we had a softball game to play, I forgot to remove the grease and it had pooled in the bottom of the grill. Not fun... Then I packed it up and put it back in the car.

This grill is pretty much one of the best combination grills I have ever seen and used for the price point, as long as you are aware that it has its limitations with how much food you can put on at a time. With a little creativity and planning, though, you can keep your guests entertained with a first course of food such as hot dogs while the other burgers come out. I am SUPER pleased I bought this grill, and hope you would too :)

We committed to tailgating at all the home games this year, GO RAVENS! We are new to the party but wanted to do it right so we started searching for tailgating ideas online and came across the Blacktop 360. We passed on it for several reasons and honestly their marketing/ads are their own worst enemy. One of our biggest concerns was size and practicality. While at the same time we wanted something fun and different. AND THEN I came across one at our BJ's Wholesale Warehouse. Once we were able to get one in hand and check it out we decided to buy it, we could always take it back... We ended up going back and buying a second one!!

Talk about a huge hit and major conversation piece!! We grilled polish sausages, hot dogs, and burgers. And while it's true the grilling surface isn't huge (ie.. you're cooking 6-7 dogs/sausages and 3-4 burgers and no more at a time) it was hot, fast, and efficient. We used the warmer to keep it all ready to serve. We used the deep fryer to cook seafood egg rolls, 3 lbs of bacon, and 2 lbs of bologna, and the griddle to toast the buns. It was FANTASTIC! We fed about 50 people, used less than one small can of propane, and was once never disappointed in the 360. Cannot wait to go back and do it again!

The design is efficient, have to give credit where it credit is due. They truly thought of everything. Set-up & clean-up were quick and easy. The system for draining the oil was all good. The legs are designed in such a way that the unit is extremely stable and it honestly couldn't be any easier. I LOVE LOVE LOVE this thing! So very happy with my purchase! The second one? It's not because we needed more space or one wasn't enough... it is a gift for the gentleman who made tailgating possible for us this year. (If you are familiar with M&T Bank Stadium you know parking is golden!) He too fell in love with the unit and will be receiving one as a thank you gift.

We purchased this in lieu of a table top or road trip grill as a take along for our frequent summer RV trips. I didn't expect it to have a huge grilling surface but sacrificed that for the griddle, fryer and warmer. We have already unpacked it to get it ready for this Summer camping season and did cook burgers and dogs on it one night recently on the deck. Obviously it wasnt able to grill 6 pattys and 8 dogs at the same time but we made do. For the portability, convenience and resourcefulness, this will work out just fine. We used it with one of the 16.4 propane cylinders but I plan on buying the adapter to use with the larger tank for the summer trips.

I would recommend this to folks whos are looking to add to an existing outdoor cooking experience. If you are looking to get creative and will utilize the griddle, grill, warmer and deep fryer at the same time, you can really impress a group with this thing but if you are looking to grill steaks, chops, burgers, brauts for more than 4 or 5 people at one time. I'd stick to a dedicated grill or add this to one you are already using.

Draws a crowd because that is what it takes to try to clean it, no matter how much grill prep I do everything I have cooked has stuck to grill, the much ado about nothing super burner looks like it will quickly become so encrusted with food that it will become unusable, save your time and buy a reguler grill, that you do not have to soak in the bathtub to try to clean. Would have returned but knew it would never go back in the box it came out of.

This thing can grill hamburgers, hot dogs, fry the bacon, grill the onions, toast the buns, cut tomatoes, lettuce, and make french fries all at the same time, DAMN! A little bigger and heavier than thought, not a bad thing, very well made, fits in a provided nylon bag, totally portable, a little hard to clean (bigger than most sinks) using hose (Weber 6501 not provided), bulk LP tank saves $$$ last all summer. It makes Blacktop 360 an outdoor orgasmic experience. Where's the BEEF!

If you're reading this review, then you're probably doing you're homework and comparing the various ceramic brands. So I'll save you some time and tell you why I bought this brand and why I'm happy with my purchase.

First of all, my brothers are die-hard BGE guys, so it took some real selling to get me to go my own way. All kamados work in basically the same way. It does not take a lot of care to make any of them last a lifetime. That is to say, the ceramic can last a lifetime. So if all Kamado brands give such a generous warranty, why not buy the brand that is built so you are less likely to have a warranty claim. It becomes an issue of the trouble of submitting a warranty claim. So, I bought a grill with stainless steel hardware. Also, efficiency of a grill is partially a function of how well it insulates, so I bought the grill with thicker ceramic.

Also, from reading reviews online, I realized there is another great advantage to owning a Grill Dome...the customer service. I sent an email to their customer service at 10PM regarding whether or not Amazon was an authorized dealer (they are), I got a response in 10 minutes. Check other online forums, you'll hear the same thing.

Last note on competitive factors: GD offers many colors. I chose the silver to keep the solar loading down as I just moved to Phoenix.

Now for my actual experience with the grill. I grill 2-3 times a week with temps ranging from 250 to 600 without any issue. I've cooked steaks, salmon on alder planks, and various pork cuts. This grill is so consistent that I can easily tell the difference between charcoal brands. I have baby back ribs on the grill and I'm really not worried about checking them for a while. I had a 6' steel drum-style smoker before and it took a lot of work to make that thing sing. The GD is so easy it feels like I'm cheating.

The price is a little hard to swallow, but I took a big chunk out of the bill by getting 30 bones in Amazon GC's by signing up for Amazon Visa AND they were running a promotion for 20$ off lawn garden and patio items.

If you have any technical questions about the GD, just email their customer service. Don't talk to Amazon, they really don't know too much about what they're selling, which happens to be an awesome product.

Update: I forgot to mention that the GD I ordered was delivered by CEVA. It came a day late, which was a bummer. BUT, everything you need to start grilling was included...Ozark Oaks charcoal, fire starters, thermometer, sliding chimney. You just need a lighter and something to grill. I recommend you also order the drop rack and a ceramic disk for indirect cooking.

I've owned a blue large grill dome for 3.5 years now, and love cooking on it. This is one of the best ceramic kamado smokers out there! The stainless steel hardware is great in that it doesn't rust or need adjusted, the paint stays glossy, and the most important part is the cooking. I use my grill about 2 to 3 times weekly all year, sometimes more. You can cook anything in this grill and have great reviews! It hold heat so well, you can cook for 22 hours without a reload of charcoal. The customer service is top notch, I have had a couple of problems with a ceramic fire grate cracking, but it was no big deal. I contacted the company and TK sent one out to me. They do charge shipping, but it wasn't a big deal. I wouldn't hesitate to buy this grill, you will love cooking on it!

I have owned a large Grill Dome Kamado since August of 2010. When it arrived, the inner firebox was cracked in about 5 pieces. I called customer service and they asked me to take a couple of cell phone photos and email them. Within 4 business days, I had a new firebox no charge. Later that year, the cover had torn under a heavy snow load again Grill Dome replaced the cover no charge, no freight. No 140 mile drive, no hassle, just a stand up company making things right.

Just as important, this is a great grill/smoker. I have slow cooked ribs, made pizza, jerk chicken, shish kabobs, and grilled vegetables and countless other dishes, all with excellent results. Unlike my Weber gas grill that has a small collection aluminum cesspool underneath that needs to be emptied regularly like a loaded colostomy bag (that thing STINKS and it's a huge mess) the Grill Dome is simple to maintain sweep out the ashes from the bottom vent every few uses. This grill has great utility and a allows for a vast amount of creativity in cooking. The stainless hardware is permanent, the screw on smoker cover is easy to adjust and I built a table using company supplied plans and it came out great. My one issue would be for better instructions for adjusting the hinge for the top in 2010, they were not good, perhaps they have improved.

In summary, despite a rocky start, Grill Dome stood tall and addressed the initial and subsequent issues quickly and went above and beyond with the torn cover. This unit is far better quality than the Big Green Egg. I had two of those in the 1980's and 1990's the hardware rusted out and the ceramic outer shell cracked and fell apart after 3-4 years and the company ran and hid when I reported the problems. I put about 4 pounds of retort cement on all the cracks that was the Big Green Egg "fix" for my cracking problems. NEVER again would I buy Big Green Egg. Grill Dome stand behind their products and this grill smokes, cooks and performs like a champ.

I purchased my Grill Dome approximately 2 years ago and I have been extremely happy with my purchase. I have had no problems with any area and the food taste and quality is excellent. I have heard of possible cracking of ceramic but have had no problems.
