Bought this for my father in law for Christmas. He is a big baseball fan and loves the brewers and to cook out! He was super excited to receive as a gift and couldn't wait to use them! They looked like they were very well made and not cheaply made. Felt very heavy duty while you hold them and there decently big. Ill update if there becomes any problems with them, but for now its 5 out of 5 for me!

Good looking grill but only until you start using it! Only after ONE cookout the paint on the lid chipped. I guess it happens from the heat, because as soon as it cools down we keep on getting more chips. So annoying! I purchased it because of it's nice looks, but really how pretty can it be with 10 chips on it?

8 months later: We live in a condo so we had to leave the grill outside, but we purchased a Weber cover for it hoping that it would help our grill stay clean...... but now we have a grill that is completely covered in RUST!! All the silver/chrome that you see on the picture is just full of rust!!! Such a waste of money!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Looks like a few chips had been retouched. Are these factory seconds? We removed grate above ash can as it prevented ash from dropping and cut off air flow from the bottom. Still, the look for the price was a bargain and I prefer the larger oval grill space.

Ad said the grates were 18". You need to go into the item description to find out the real size. I just looked at the primary ad and purchased the grates. When the grates arrived and were measured they were 12.5". Company would not pay to return them, or refund any shipping charges. Actually, the grates were for an 18" barbecue and not 18" themselves. Company was willing to take them back, but it would have cost me almost $20.00 in shipping charges and nothing to show for it.

Shipping was great. Buyer should be aware that disc is totally flat and is cut out of 1/8" steel. My application (modifying an ECB el cheapo brinkman vertical smoker) required a convex contour for proper fitment. So I spent a fair bit of time pounding on the backside of the disc with mallet to get a shape that worked for me. After shaping and painting with black heat paint the part is great. It may be easier and cheaper to find comparable aluminum disc's as an alternative.

For years, I have used the biscuit type of briquettes and have had a hard time finding the right size for my grill. Seems like they were all too big, or the size of gravel. Decided to give these a shot and must say so far I'm impressed. Have used them three times and they heat up quickly and really do even out the temperature on the cooking surface. I mixed these in with some of my older briquettes for now but will eventually use these consistently when the older ones crumble. There's enough in a box to cover a very large cooking area. I like them.

These are GREAT! I converted my gas grill with those steel "flavor boosters" to these. What a difference! I have more even heat through out the entire cooking surface. If the meat is fatty, I still get flare-ups, but I can live with that. Everything even tastes more like charcoal without all the fuss. The ONLY negative is the price. My brother found the exact same item at Menards for around $10 a box. This is the first time a bricks and motor store beat an Amazon price.

I am not giving this five stars for its advertised original intended use, for that purpose I have no comment. Following the inspiration of Chad Robertson Tartine Bread and Jim Lahey My Bread: The Revolutionary No-Work, No-Knead Methodto use cast iron casseroles and dutch ovens to create a mini-steam oven for bread, I purchased this product with the hope that it would allow me to home bake shapes of bread other than rounds, for which I use a Lodge Logic 5-Quart Double Dutch Oven and Casserole with Skillet Cover. I am very pleased with this product because it has fulfilled my expectations. It is large and it is heavy and it does require that you handle it with care when hot( I use two Ove Gloves Ove' Glove Hot Surface Handler, 1 Glove (Pack of 2)to handle it rather than oven mits. I place the piece in the oven during the pre-heating cycle, then I place the proofed loaf on the now hot lid and cover that with the now hot base base. In otherwords, I use it upside down. After 20 minutes or so, I remove the large "fryer" part and finish the bread uncovered. I highly recommend this product to other home bakers, who should find that it can expand their repertoire of breads.

Purchased this to fit in my roaster oven at our summer place. The round skillets just won't fit and I love roasted meats cooked in cast iron. When I received the cooker, I was skeptical as the surface was very bumpy. I even think that I got one that someone had returned, as there was one portion of the surface that had been sanded down. I decided to season it up anyway as it was just the size I needed and was a good price. Well, the first seasoning yielded a very good result! I went ahead and added 2 more layers of seasoning before I tried it the first time. I put 2 boned chuck roasts in it, and slow roasted them and added the veggies later. Well, I loved it! Super non stick and yielded very good results. To those that are thinking about sanding theirs down, I say try it before doing that. The sanded portion actually did not take the seasoning as well as the bumpy areas. If you don't like it, you can always burn your seasoning off and sand it down later. The lid of the cooker fit very well on my pan and the size is just perfect to sit on the two burners on your cooktop to use as a griddle. I only put one layer of seasoning on mine before I cooked pancakes and it was very nice to cook on. Note: I saw some negative reviews about the coating it's shipped with. You want it coated until you get it, so that it doesn't rust. I found it very easy to scrub off with the scratchy side of the sponge and Dawn dish soap. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because of the sanded down spot on mine and the fact that it's made in China.

I got this to bake my no-kneed dutch-oven bread in small baguette shapes. It works perfectly. I've also found that it's great for roasts and stews. Once it's seasoned (which is not difficult), it's easy to clean with hot water and a scrub brush.

FINALLY -a perfect spit that doesn't need electricity!

This rotisserie set is made of bombproof stainless steel. It's never going to bend or break, and comes with cross pins that will hold anything, from a whole turkey to flank steak.

Best of all, the spit rotates at 90 degree angles. If you really cook, you know that meat isn't shaped like a basketball. It has high spots and low spots that simple rotation doesn't handle. This is the original cover and fits the cooker perfectly. As I have used the Brinkman for over 15 years now, I have always been of the opinion that the covers are a little light on material. Nonetheless, it lasts for a reasonable period of time before needing replacement, and protects the cooker very well. Could not find it in the Sacramento area (cooker yes, cover no) so came to my trusty Amazon. Bingo. Denny and Kathy's Superstore sent the cover so it arrived earlier than shown on the order and, the price was absolutely the lowest I could find anywhere!!! Great job as usual Amazon.

If you are purchasing this item because you think it has a felt underling, don't bother. That is a lie! I have had a Brinkmann cover in the past that had a felt underling, but this one DOES NOT!!! Don't waste your money if that is your reason for buying. The only thing it is better than is a garbage bag!

Item advertised as heavy duty with felt backing. I have trash bags that are more heavy duty. Item had no felt backing as is advertised. Item was ordered for Brinkmann smoker and it fit like a sausage skin that was about 4 inches too short even though item is advertised to fit all. You would be better off buying Wal-mart heavy duty leaf bags than this item. Either I got the wrong item or the other reviews were outright lies. Brinkmann should delete name off cover and Amazon should discontinue offering item for sale. Only good thing about ordering this product is that I got a refund from Amazon without a hassle. Selling this product should be discontinued and at least placing a disclaimer on ad.

For the price, a good little basic smoker cover.

Black plastic material with no liner and it has the name BRINKMANN in black lettering on a white blocked out area (about 8 inches in length by 3 inches in height) on the front of the cover.

The cover does not go all of the way to the bottom of the smoker because they did not make allowance for the handle on the top of the lid.

The material feels like (and smells like)the plastic that a blow up beach ball is made of.

Does the job for under $11.00 (including shipping) but wouldn't pay any more for it.

Bought a replacement Brinkmann smoker so I decided to buy a cover for it this time. On my old smoker I used a black garbage bag and it worked fine. Just the right size. I bought this one because it looked like a heavier gauge then the black garbage bag, it looks better than the bag too. While the vinyl isnt as heavy as I would like, it seems to do a good job. I guess only time will tell. Nice item though and it looks sharp.
