My grill accumulated a lot of crud as a result of many cookouts. I tried to keep it as clean as possible with a wire brush and various cleaning pads and cleaners. I never could get the rack and grates to look like new. There was always a layer of permanent food residue, carbon and other debris that defied removal. I decided to give the Magic Stone Grill Cleaner a shot. It arrived as a light weight square without the grooves shown in the product illustration. I had serious doubts that this thing could do any good. Surprise! Surprise! This is truly a magic stone. It removed everything from the grill parts that I worked on and left them looking like new. The cleaning process did put grooves in the bottom of the stone and that helped to get the sides cleaned off as well.

I am now a true believer and highly recommend this item. I can't speak for any other uses this may have but for cleaning my grill it is a winner.

The Magic Stone works as advertised. The only issue I had was that one stone didn't last long enough to clean the entire grill. As others have commented the "brick" doesn't have grooves at first but as you start to use it the grooves are made. I used "Easy Off" and my "Power Washer" to get most of the grease off my grill but there was still some left over. Magic Stone did take it off but the product is very brittle and as you get closer to the end it just breaks up in your hands. I only ordered one and frankly I could have used two but $11.00 for a one time cleaning is a lot of money. Especially since I like to grill in the summer.

We have used several other brands of stone grill cleaner and, while few of these lasts as long as three or four cleanings, this brand crumbled into small pieces on the first use. And it did so with two of them. I paid almost $10 for each one -robbery for an inferior products. Though the price has now come down to just over $5 each, I would still not recommend this brand.

I bought this as an addition for the cabin. The grill is just like being in a park setting. Dig a hole, pour concrete, level the pole. When it sets, install the grill and the safety pin and start grilling. Heavy steel, adjustable height for cooking, grooves to let rain water drain. Can't think of anything I would change. Maybe if it came with it's own pre dug hole? Can you get me one of those please?

I got this grill for my husband after he had used one on our vacation and he fell in love with it. It's a nice change from using the gas grill all the time. The 360 degree rotation makes it great if it's windy out and you can also adjust the heighth of the grill rack above the coals. Would highly reccommend getting one if you are tired of gas grills and like the taste of meat cooked over charcoal.

Although my grill is so-o-o cute, it cooks V-E-R-Y unevenly. When I replaced a gas cylindar, I received several cuts on my hands. I had to almost disassemble the grill before turning it over to replace the can. Food had to be removed, the hot grill removed and the water-filled reservour spilled. Not a nice experience. As far as the speakers, well, don't go there.

Overall, I'm very disappointed and wish I hadn't spent the money for it.

We have two of these little grills, one for home and one for a ranch place. It's surfaces clean up easily, just like washing dishes so its ready to go and clean for the next use. Its a great little grill for taking places for picnics, tailgating, etc., cooks great and gets hot enough to even to sear fish. We think its just great and you get the added bonus of plugging in your i-pod or mp3 player that provides entertainment, too. The adapter cord is provided for this purpose. We have noticed that the 4 double AA batteries that power the speakers must be fresh or you'll get static or a popping sound over your music. If you're home, that's not a problem because you can also plug it in to regular house current with the provided cord. Unless you're using batteries that are not fresh, the sound is terrific with adequate volume for a gathering. The water reservoir keeps the food moist while the grill cooks. The surface is not large, but it is capable of cooking quite a lot of food in short order. My opinion....if someone isn't happy with this little grill, they probably didn't follow the directions.

As others have noted, you have to take apart a few pieces of the grill to get to this part; which makes it a good time to replace other parts of your grill that need attention. That being said, this is such an item of convenience (particularly if you grill year round) that it is well worth the time and effort to install. My Weber (a Silver B) is a good 10 years old now and still runs like a champ. Outside of new flavorizer bars every so often and a new set of grates a couple of years ago, I think this might be my first real "repair" to the grill.

I bought the Weber replacement igniter after trying a generic one from a local store. I never could get the generic to work. Save yourself the headache and buy the correct one first, follow the installation directions exactly. This one made my grill work like new again.

Weber makes their grills to last, and part of that is offering replacement parts at reasonable prices. These igniters usually last around 5 years of heavy use before part of it fails (usually the stainless steel igniter box), though you can sometimes revive a dead igniter by cleaning the gunk out of it.

Anyway, this igniter takes around five minutes to install. Make sure you poke the small metal tab through the small bottom hole rather than trying to squeeze it into the main igniter hole.

I've used this electric smoker many times, and it gets the job done, but a problem is the lack of control of heat. The electric unit just plugs in with no dial for selecting heat. It would always hover around only 200 degrees, which is too low for correct smoking (most of the time 220 to 250 degrees is desired. So after several tries of smoking and having to finish up the meat in the oven, I tried a remedy. I bought a water heater insulation kit and used it to insulate the round body of the smoker and lid to try to raise the temp. It worked, maybe too good. Now the temp stays at 300 degrees, a little to high for my tastes. I may try to remove some of the insulation to bring the temp into the 250 degree "sweet spot" range. I've also considered just getting a gas smoker with adjustable heat. Be warned, this unit works OK except for the lack of temperature adjustment.

Product shipped in orig box with no packing matl so bent in shipping but still usable. If instructions say item will take 4 hrs to smoke, it will take 8 hrs so put item in in a.m., smoke all day, and it should be done when you get home from work!

I have had one of these smokers for over 15 years. The lava pan is just starting to rust out but everything else is holding up well. I'm looking at buying a new lava pan to keep on smoking. I've produced 100's of pounds of pork butt and brisket on the smoker. Pork butts usually take 6 to 8 hours depending on outside temp. Brisket 10 to 12 hours. If I'm in a hurry I'll prebake the meat in the oven the night before and then put on the smoker in the morning for 2 to 3 hours.

The water pan keeps the meat from drying out. I get lots of complements on my BBQ. If they only knew how easy it was using this smoker. Just plug it in and let it cook.

I tie a wet strip of fabric around the gap between the lid and barrel. This holds in a lot of smoke and heat that was getting out through the gap.

I purchased one of these about 15 months ago, during that period of time we have used it at least once a day for nine of those months many days it was twice. The element has finally gone out. Given the abuse compared to what I had paid for it I am satisfied with it's performance. It would cook a quarter pound burger in twelve minutes. Large frozen chicken breasts in about half an hour. So it has been used and abused. The smoker itself looks nice, is quick to put together and start using. We did smoke something in it initially and it did well, but loved it's performance as a grill.

I knew I needed a new heat plate for my Uniflame grill, but did not realize just how bad it had gotten. Cooking on my grill was more of a chore than a pleasure. During the cooking process, I was always moving things around to find the right spot that was not too hot or too cool. If I had a large meal I was preparing, cooking on my grill was like playing musical chairs. Things just had to keep moving all around the grill.

With this new heat plate, the heat is again fairly even all across the grill. Grilling has again become a pleasure.

If your heat plate is falling apart and collapsing, you will be doing yourself a grand favor by getting a new heat plate.

The old shield was rusted through. This one fit right in the Uniflame with only the slightest bending of tabs on the grill, could be from years of heating/cooling down and warping. This makes the grill usable and like new again!

This product is well made and has flexible pipes. However, it does not fit all grills. If you have one of the older $99 Charbroil grills from Lowes, you will find that more than likely the holes to insert the tubes will be too small. Others have complained about this. I made mine bigger with some tin snips, it mangled the holes but I got the tubes to go through.

Does seem to work fine despite not initially fitting through the holes.

I bought this CHARBROIL UNIVERSAL burner to replace the burner on my CHARBROIL grill. I guess when I bought it I believed "universal" to mean that it would replace all 17 inch burners...especially CHARBROIL ones, since it is the SAME COMPANY. I was wrong. The venturi pipe is too large to go through the hole in my grill. When I called Charbroil to discuss this with them, they told me that "universal" only means "most." Chances are, this will not fit your grill. Avoid it.

Mine is not a Char-Broil branded BBQ, so I had my doubts, however it was very easy to assembly and set and works splendid since the very first time. Took me less than 10 minutes since I open the package until I turned it on and only needed a phillips screwdriver. The gas pipes are flexible and can be adjusted in length and can be twisted to reach the gas valves. Only hope it lasts as long as the original burner.

This most certainly is not "universal" as the advertising and the packaging state. I bought it for my bottom-of-the-line Char-Broil brand grill, so you'd think it would fit its own brand. But the nozzle collars at the end of the flexible tubing coming from the burner will not fit through the diameter of the holes at the bottom of the flame box in order to meet the gas feeder lines coming from below. Just barely so frustrating! Unfortunately, I mangled it too much trying to jerry-rig it to fit, so now I can't even return it. One of the few Amazon products I have purchased over the years that has been mis-represented.

My 1997 Char-Broil Model 4637633 worked well with this universal burner. The only problem I had was when I attached the igniter assembly to the center of the burner; the mounting holes in the new burner were too large for the #6 pan head screws provided. I substituted some #8 screws I had in stock and the problem was solved.

Burner works well. It does look a bit on the cheap side but certainly was worth the $16 price. Sure there is a 3 year warranty but who is going to pay $10 for shipping these to the factory for warranty service? My old burner (same exact style) lasted about 3 years.

Note that there was a less expensive option available (about $11) for people who didn't feel they needed to replace their flexible venturi tubes. My old tubes were in great shape so I opted to take them off and save for some future day. Unfortunately, although the tubes were in good shape, I found on my old burner that the essential high temperature gaskets between the tubes and the burner were both broken and might not have been gas-tight if I'd been planning to reuse them. My advice is to spend the extra $5 and get the complete $16 replacement kit like I did on this purchase.

I bought these racks specifically for their dimensions. Unfortunately, they are almost 1" short of the mark. Had to return them, since they wouldn't fit in the Cabela dehydrators I have that call for a 22" rack.

There must be something in the "porcelain" finish of this wok that erodes with cooking. The foul odor permeates any food cooked on it, and by the 3rd time of using, the food cooked on it had to be thrown out.

I bought this for my parents for Christmas after they fell in love with a similar model I have (that I received as a gift long ago). The construction is heavier duty than the one I have, and I'm sure they will get plenty of useage out of it. We had it on the grill almost every night over Christmas break, and they are thrilled!

after I moved to the city, almost the first week my grill was stolen from my back porch. All I was left with was my grill wok and charcoal chimney starter which I kept inside. No problem, I found them both together to be a great combination. Fill the charcoal chimney up to the desired amount, depending on the heat desired, and simply set the grill wok on top of the charcoal chimney. My only advice would be, if you have a self cleaning oven, run it through one time first to burn off all the porcelain, and then you are good to go. Whatever you used to do with kabobs, you can now do in the wok, with the exact same melding of flavors, yet better control of the cooking.

These suckers burn hot.

I had to drill a small hole on the end-flaps to mount to a custom burner bracket I made since the old one disintegrated, the steel was tough as hell to drill through to say the least.... high quality materials.

For the price this setup can't be beat IMO, Home Depot had similar burners for 18$ EACH (single burner) opposed to these which for 20$ or so you get FIVE high quality burners.

Ordered on May 30th and received June 6th, today. Opened the box and removed items to realize that two of the five tube burners are useless, the welds if you want to call them that, where so poor that one was not even held together so if mounted the tube just hangs with no support, maybe happened during shipping but still just picture once used and grill rolled from one area to another, I'm sure the outcome would have been the same. The second one was welded so hot and blew a hole right through the square mounting plate, tried to take picture but was not high def enough to show the poor quality (my camera quality). Would love to have left a good review like most others but i guess the New Guy welded mine, but no excuse for the poor Quality Control. Ordered something new and all i received was a great big Irritant. Would have loved to give this a negative star rating but not an option. Guess it comes down to luck of the draw. Like the old saying goes, you get what you pay for, tried to save a little and went off other reviews but now have to order from Vermont Casting. I could return but as in most cases not worth it once you pay for shipping. Lesson learned.
