I've seen this in retail stores for 25% more, but never got around to buying one. I stumbled over it on Amazon, and couldn't beat the price.

I cook a lot of salmon on my Weber Genesis, and have always had a difficult time keeping pieces of fish from sticking to the grill with my regular flipper.

This product solved my problem. It's the perfect size for a 1lb. filet, and the edge is tapered just enough that you can get under the fish without cutting in to it. No more jabbing at the fish to keep it intact, and no more balancing.

This is one solid piece of metal, with no rivets, screws, or weld marks to collect food and debris. There is a black rubber insert under the handle to make it easier to grip. The hook on the end is the perfect length to flip down and hold the grip off the surface it is resting on.

While the item has stood up well to several years of abuse, the turner has it's pros and cons. I have had no issues cleaning it and it still looks the same as when I purchased it, which is more than I can say for the Weber tongs which fell apart. Does the job.

The biggest cons being that it can be difficult to store and leave hanging due to its large size. Could be a bit more egronomic.

A great BBQ tool! We use it for all meats--hamburger patties, steaks, chicken breasts, etc. The handle is plenty long & the wide spatula portion prevents larger meats from falling off the sides when turning. Highly recommended!!

This is where flimsy and cast iron can be in a same sentence. It is still sturdy enough for you to sit on but imho, the bars ought to be larger for heat retention. I can't go with the stainless steel replacement because my original one cracked on high heat, 600 degree. I always crank up the heat after bbqing as a way to clean up. All grease turns to ash. This grate still looks like new after a few uses with proper seasoning.

With a $400 for the grill and $80 grate after 3 years, I should've settled with a Weber at the first place.

I've used this grate for a season now and it works as promised. I get nice grill marks on my meat, and they are easy to clean. With proper seasoning there is no rusting between uses. If anyone needs a good grate replacement, this is the one.

I used this product one time -grilled fish. It worked very well. The fish was cooked to perfection. The removeable handle worked well.

However, when I started to clean the basket, after only one use, the black nonstick surface began to flake and come off. Mind you, I didn't srub or use harsh products. The nonstick surface came off with a little Sunlight soap and a sponge. I can't use it again because the surface comes off in the water, on the sponge, and on your hands. I'm sure that it will come off on your food.

If you don't mind disposable kitchen tools, buy this product.

The basket is good for grilling but it is difficult getting the tongs into the grooves in the basket, particularly when one is standing over an open flame.

While detachable handle is a very good idea, the tension mechanism works backwards. As it is, the handle must be held at all times or it pops off. Were it to fit INSIDE the holder, the tension would hold it in place until you wanted to release it. The depth of the basket cannot be adjusted for different thickenesses of meats/fish/veggies/etc. Locking mechanism to hold the basket together is awkward to release when the basket is hot. The nonstick finish is a plus. All in all, I will continue to use my old broken down basket that has an adjustable lid, handles that stay put until I want to remove them and a lid which is very easy to remove when it is hot from the grill.

I love to grill fish on my Weber gas grill. The only problem is that all of the grilling baskets have these long handles on them so that you can not close the grill cover. Or, if you can close the cover the handle gets too hot to touch without mits on. This is finally what I have been searching all of Houston for. I hope it comes in soon so that I can start grilling fish again.

This is a genuine Weber replacement part for my Q120 gas grill. Very easy to install and works without issue.I only replaced the igniter. I did not have to replace the ceramic probe as mine was still working properly. At least I have a spare now.

As long as you get the box close to the flame (under the cooking grill) it works really well. It actually will work if you put it on the cooking grill but you need to put in on the grill maybe 20-30 minutes to get it hot enough for the wood to smoke. Much faster if you put below the cooking grill on the lava/ceramic bricks

I purchased this wood chip box locally at a big box hardware store for about $12 plus tax for my new propane smoker.

It is too small, holding only 100 grams (dry) of hickory chips which were soaked in water. With box directly above burner it took 12 minutes (350 F air temp inside smoker) for the first smoke to show and an addition 2 minutes (14 minutes) to get good steady smoke which lasted only 14 minutes. 28 minutes for 14 minutes of smoke!

Preheating cast iron box for 10 minutes, then put in soaked wood chips. Smoke started at 6 minutes, with steady smoke at 9 minutes which lasted 16 minutes. Still not enough for a deep smokey taste.

If you want just a lite smoke taste, this chip box might work for you; but for those like me that like a hearty smokey taste it falls far short.

If a lite smoke taste is all you want, save your money...use heavy duty aluminum foil, place soaked wood chips in the middle and make a sealed pouch. Then poke a few small holes on one side with a toothpick, skewer or fork. Put on grill to get a smokey taste with almost no cost! I have used this method and it heats up quickly and smokes for around 10 to 15 minutes depending on the amount of wood chips and species of wood.

these take too long to heat up wood chips, just use tinfoil and poke holes in it, easier and quicker cleanup as you just toss the tinfoil packs when you are done.

This cast iron smoker box is a good product for the price. After use, my smoker box started to corrode/rust slightly, but this was mostly my fault and does not impact overall performance of the box. One annoyance I had with the product was the label that the manufacture puts on the face of the product with industrial strength glue/adhesive. It was very difficult to remove.

this might work better for thicker sauces, but for mop sauces (vinegar-, oil-, and butter-based) this thing just doesn't transfer any significant quantity of liquid from the bowl. you'd be better served to pour the sauce on your food and brush it around.

fairly easy to clean, though. i disconnect the head from the handle so liquid doesn't get trapped.

I relied on the one review, from 2009, that endorses these so highly, and bought this exact item by Charcoal Companion. Unfortunately, 1) the quality control is terrible; two of the eight corn holders had prongs that were badly bent (in the sealed package, viewable through the clear plastic!), and on a third holder, the entire metal prong apparatus was affixed at a weird angle, way off kilter. It is cemented on firmly and cannot be re-adjusted to its proper position.

2) these holders DON'T pierce the cob deeply enough, esp. the shorter of the two prongs, thus, when you use one holder to turn the cob with while buttering or salting it, the holder turns but the corn doesn't; the holder simply rips itself away from the corn cob.

These are absolutely useless. They don't do what is intended.

Do they look nice? Yes. But such a simple product should work correctly. A one-cent nail would work far better than these.

They should make BOTH prongs longer, and the short one should be the length of the long one; the short one truly serves NO purpose presently.

By the Zyliss interlocking holders. They work properly in all respects.

I'll keep it brief. The wide base makes it much more stable than some roasters. The beer can holder can of course be used for anything wet or dry to flavor your chicken. The vented base is big enough to hold a lot of whatever you decide to put in it. And last, it's pretty sturdy. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that I wish the metal were just a little heavie gauge.

My husband asked me that question once, so I didn't buy it.

Then after we had to replace parts of half the grill after an unstable beer can supported chicken toppled over and dumped all the grease from the can into the grill, setting the entire thing, including the propane line which melted the tank valve, on fire, he said "why didn't we just buy a beer can chicken holder?"

Good grief. Save yourself the possible headache (and the near-property damage), and just use this. Heck, it's cheaper to just buy this than it will cost us to replace the now-empty fire extinguisher.

I want to give the verticle roaster more stars, because it's good, but it has one flaw the maker should fix. The roaster comes in two pieces, the base great for roasting veggies and a cone that the chichen sits on. The problem is that the cone is too big. I tried it with a rather largish chicken and the cone made the chichen stand up so high, it touched the lid of my barbeque grill. I'll try it with a smaller chichen, although the chichen may not fit on the cone. It was hard enough getting the larger chichen to fit.

It would be better if the cone was either shorter or narrower or both. I think it should also have holes in the cone, so the steam from the beer or other liquid used would enter through the sides of the cone as well as the top.

I have prepared coke can chicken many times before, always using a beer or coke can and sometimes had difficulty getting the bird to sit on the grill correctly. Always tasty but either doesn't sit right or the can collapses when you set it up, and you always get very messy bringing it out and setting it on the grill after applying the rub. With this cooker, you don't have to handle the bird once it's in place and the rub is on...take the handles and out to the grill.

One thing though...perhaps due to more metal in contact and around the chicken, it gets done quicker. I'm going to go 15 minutes less for a 5 pound bird next time I use it. Excellent product.

this vertical roaster is a very good value. couldn't find another one like it without paying another 50% in price. It just fits in my smoker so that I was able to smoke a chicken. The center can fits less than a can of beer so you do have to drink part of the can, lol! Plenty of holes to allow the smoke and heat to rise through properly.

I have been using a Cornglo grill for several years now and always jump at the opportunity to share how excited I am about it. Whenever I have friends over for a cookout, I love showing them my grill that cooks with corn! It cooks more evenly and somehow holds in the juices of whatever I am cooking better than any grill I have ever used before, gas or charcoal. Chicken on my Cornglo is my specialty. Plus, it is big enough to cook a basket of veggies on one side with the meat on the other. My family also really likes throwing whole cobs of corn on the Cornglo and cooking them in the shucks. I fully expect this to be the last grill I ever own.

This is one great grill. I have it for over one year now. Was fairly easy to assemble. Cooks evenly. This will sear the thickest if steaks. Can reach 700 deg or will slow cook with no problem. The best part no warping or discoloration of metals easy to clean.

Cons the ad photos show sides which do not come with unit and needs cover! Rain water gets inside from back and fills grease catcher and makes a mess if it over spills.
