Made of thin, flimsy plastic which curls around the edges. No padding or backing underneath the mat. The black part of the mat is more like a dark grey and shows every spot. The picture of it shown makes it look much better than the actual product. My husband says that he likes it a lot, though, being the Giants fan that he is.

This is not the fanciest grill on the market, but a deal for the price. I bought this grill 8 years ago at Lowes for $100. It has been outside in the elements the entire time (snow, ice and rain). I've never covered it. It's rusted, but completely functional. We grill out frequently in all seasons. It has a very large cooking surface. I've had deck parties and grilled for 25 people easily. The grill grate is covered with a non-stick surface and is still in perfect condition. It cleans very easily. The pan for the charcoal is a flat piece of sheet-metal that can be raised and lowered to 3 or 4 different levels. Honestly, it doesn't allow for good air circulation. After a couple years I ditched it and used some fire brick to elevate a separate grate in the bottom for the charcoal. Works brilliantly. The wood on this thing is bamboo and will not hold up. So, you'll have to replace it after a season in the elements. Or, you could just cover it or bring it inside. The thermometer is useless. It has cheap plastic wheels, but they have held up reasonably well.

Overall, I've got my money's worth 3 or 4 times over out of this grill. I would not hesitate to recommend it if this is your price range and you are looking for a large charcoal grill.

There is one flaw I didn't mention: this grill didn't hold up well when my wife backed into it with her car. Sadly, I had to retire it to the junk yard today.

I needed a rectangle grill with easy access to the charcoal. I especially bought this because it had to be assembled and we didn't need the legs, and my reasearched said it doesn't rust.

We forgot to cover the grill after we assembled it and left it outside. The top rusted and the little screws were very easy to loosen up. Things started falling apart. The handle to the lid, the side "air" started to tighten up due to rust. we had to repaint it with rust-proof paint, hopefully it stops the rust until my husband fire up the grill again.

Bought this for my father in law for Christmas. He is a big baseball fan and loves the brewers and to cook out! He was super excited to receive as a gift and couldn't wait to use them! They looked like they were very well made and not cheaply made. Felt very heavy duty while you hold them and there decently big. Ill update if there becomes any problems with them, but for now its 5 out of 5 for me!

I purchased this unit with out the base and mounted it in a homemade table. Just awsome I have done Turkey,Chicken breasts,Beer can chicken, Pizza, and steaks. This unit is awsome, the meat turned out so juicey, tender and perfectly done. I own 10 different grills all different.

I never thought that I would go back to charcoal, but I have, the unit is well made and will last for years I belive, if taken care of.

Just remember use lump charcoal.

Purchased these bags as an alternative choice, but what a great product. Wasn't too sure about cooking in a bag and what it could add. I was amazed. Our thought was to use them in the winter time when outdoor grilling becomes more challenging. Put a two pound slab of salmon in the bag, closed it up and stuck it in the oven. Following directions, which are simple but could be easier to find, we took the fish out of the oven, opened the bag. There before us was a fully cooked salmon with delicious hickory flavor, moist and juicy. After dinner, just folded up the bag and tossed it in the trash, clean-up done. We did add some William-Sonoma fish seasoning to the salmon prior to placing it in the bag. The bag is similar to one of those insulated bags, but thinner. Studier enough to cook fish, haven't tried beef or other meat. That's next. I would recommend these bags, brings outdoor smoking inside without the mess or smoke.

I saw these in Publix and picked two up just to try. I used the Hickory first, last night, with one whole cut-up chicken and a poultry rub. It came out absolutely perfectly. I wonder if some folks who have panned the product followed the instructions to the letter, or if perhaps quality control is not high, but the bag I used performed exactly as described. I used a gas grill, set the bag on at high temp for 15 minutes and reduced to medium for 30 minutes, then let the bag sit for about 5 minutes after. The chicken was moist and perfectly done, the cleanup was easy, and the "smokey" taste was mild but noticeable. Ordering more from Amazon now.

I have a large grill that has been discontinued. The original custom cover ripped a few years after I purchased. I've tried three different covers the last 5 years. None have lasted. I don't know how long this will last but so far it seems to be of the highest quality. It fit my grill which is 69" wide. It has air vents along the back to prevent mold. Its supple but tough. Very happy with my choice.

I haven't had this for very long, but the material seems much better quality than some other covers I have had. My grill is a 65" wide Kenmore model with the fold down sides. I tried another cover that stated it was for a 65" grill, and it was way too tight. This cover fits perfectly. Not too snug, not too loose.

The handles make off/on easier. The generic fit is little short for my grill, but that's better than it touching the ground.

Don't know why the vent strip is placed so near the bottom.

the lid fits well and seals moisture and filth out of my 30 gallon iron pot that has to live outside all year in the BBQ shed. It also seals in heat and makes bringing anything to a boil take about half as long and require far less heat units.

I have an older Bull 4 burner Angus whose original brass burners finally bit the dust. I was wanting to replace the burners with the stainless steel replacement burners which I believe come with a 20 year warranty. The problem was that they are extremely expensive. I ran across these iron burners and decided to pay much less (all four iron burners cost me the same as one stainless steel burner would have) so I decided to order them and plan on simply replacing them more often. My concern was that when I received the product, that I would find that they would be light weight since it's sometimes difficult to make a judgement by the photo. That was not the case! I received the shipment and when I lifted the box, I was pleasantly surprised because it was a substantial weight. When I unwrapped the first one, I was smiling because it was not cheaply made and felt like it should stand up long enough to make my decision on purchasing these a good one. They fit perfectly. NOTE: Don't forget to remove the adjustable sleeve for regulating the air intake off the old burners before you toss them. Also make a mental note as to how much of the hole is opened before removing them from the old burners. So far, they work beautifully. If I run into any problems, I will add to this post.

I have an 11 year old BBQ's Galore Captain Cook 4 burner unit. The BBQ as a whole is in good shape except that the burners were all rusted out. I called the BBQ Galore dealer about new burners. He told me the cast iron burners were obsolete and I would have to buy Stainless Steel at about $80 x 4 burners. For that amount I was ready to pitch this unit and head for Costco or HomeDumpo for a new BBQ. When I found these on Amazon I was skeptical. It seemed to good to be true...BUT IT IS!!!!!!! These are virtually identical to the original cast iron burners and work perfectly. DON'T HESITATE TO BUY THESE.. you won't be sorry.

I would have gladly purchased this item locally for twice the price but it was not available locally. I would have had to spend a 3 hrs travel time to a Bar B Q Galore store on a Sunday to get this item. When I learned that I could order the exact item that I needed online for half the price I jumped on it. I had the model #, but the detailed drawing to size helped me feel comfortable that that I was ordering the exact right piece. I did follow the original instructions and " cure" the burners with vegetable oil a couple of times, this helps prevent rust, and will make the burners last longer. Unfortunately I still have trouble with reducing the gas to low.Perhaps I need to work with it a bit more. But they definitely work very well, and I tossed the broken rusted ones, I am getting even heat distribution, across the whole grill, which was one of my big problems. It is a nice grill and I want to keep it in great shape for along time. Received brand new product in a matter of days, excellent shape, great price, it saved me wasting a Sunday and driving for 3 hours, I would do it again.

Smoker showed up with one of the welds broken that holds the cooking racks. I was almost willing to get this repaired myself until I found that the thermometer did not even fit into the cooking chamber. I then noticed multiple areas where the welds were not complete in the cooking chamber therefore smoke would escape. I tried contacting Medina River via email and phone with no response. Medina River customer service is non-existent. I would never purchase any of their products. Luckily, Amazon is a great company as they picked up the smoker with no issues and refunded my money.

I received the smoker today and it was damaged in a couple places. The unit appears well made and is much heavier and thicker than the ones found at Walmart or Home Depot. I called Amazon and they ordered me a replacement. It is suppose to arrive a week from today. I really hope this one is not damaged. The price has raised about $100 since I ordered, so I think it is a good value if I can receive it undamaged.

4/19/2011 Less than a week later, I received the replacement and the damaged one was taken away. The replacement is in very good condition. Only a few minor scratches. The hardware was in a sealed bag unlike the first unit that had loose hardware everywhere. It took me about 2 hours to put together myself. I have seen $150 offset smokers at the big box stores and $1000+ ones from Meadow Creek, Lang, etc. and not much in between. I would say the Medina River 67 is easily $400-$500 better than ones found at Walmart or Home Depot for $150, but I am not sure a $1000 model is $400-$500 better. Hope that makes sense.

I received package in great condition, and assembled in about 25 minutes. It works extremely well. I have smoked chicken and ribs on it and have also grilled ribeyes.Was able to get temp in main box up to 450 without any real effort. This is a very good quality smoker,grill.

I received the Madenia River Jumbo Smoker #67 the other day and assembled it in about two and a half hours. Except for the firebox and two of the legs, I assembled it by myself with relative ease. The installation instructions were very easy to follow and very through. The quality of the packaging materials was exceptional. The smoker arrived in terrific condition. I think some of the other reviewers issues with scratches / damages or materials either missing or loose in the shipping container may have been the result of poor handling by the shipping company and not the original manufacturer. Also, the quality of the construction materials used and the construction of the smoker itself seems to be very good. As a structural engineer, I am very impressed with the construction. I look forward to many years of quality use. This smoker / grill is constructed of MUCH MUCH better material than those sold at your local department stores or home improvement centers --as you would expect for the additional expense. Again, I'm very satisfied with my purchase. BTW, I messed up the thermometer during installation and the Medina River folks sent me a replacement right away with no issues.
