I bought this to use for my Brinkmann grill/smoker which came with a temp gauge that that had no units on it. It just had a warm/ideal/hot gauge. Needless to say i never knew at what temp i was cooking at so decided to buy this Thermometer to lay on the grill and read the grill temp.

Like in the title it does what it's supposed to do. It reads the temp on the grill and is somewhat accurate. It can be off by 25 deg at times but it's not too bad when you are smoking at low temps. Bought a dual probe thermometer after and that's how i compared the temps.

If you are looking for something cheap, that will be semi accurate this is for you.

It worked the first couple of times but it eventually clouded-over and I couldn't read the temperature.. I did wipe it after every use but it just accumulated a film over the glass. Wouldn't recommend it.

I used galvanized steel to fastin this to the grate of my Weber and it has not failed the thing has almost been on fire and has been well past 800 degrees (the last temp it can read) This i would recommend for any one. Plus i ordered it through Prime free 2 day and it came the next day really impressive.

I am using it on my Santa Maria style grill and even though the grill is very hot the grill pro doesn't melt,steam up and gives a accurate reading.
