Man Law! Ha! Great name, but it really is a great product that I love! The florescent dial is a fantastic idea and it works and gets the temperature right. I have 3 of these and another model as well. I love it!

I don't know if mine is broken or what, but whenever I use this thermometer it has an insanely difficult time getting past 140 degrees on the readout. I bought this to use with chicken to prevent having to cut in to every piece to see if they are cooked through. I cook chicken often and it gets to be a pain after a while. But I have actually burned/overcooked my chicken because of this thing. I have only ever gotten this thing to reach the 165 degree mark ONCE, and that was after I left the chicken in the crock pot for way longer than it needed to be in there. And another time cooking chicken on the Foreman grill, the chicken almost came out completely black because the thermometer kept reading a low temperature. Even when I took the chicken off and cut through it, saw that it was completely white inside and definitely done, the thermometer still read something like 145 degrees. I don't know if it's the needle on the gauge that's broken, or the entire thermometer itself, but I've stopped using it. If I get another instant read thermometer, I'm going for a digital one.BOTTOM LINE: Spend a little bit more money and get a thermometer that actually works.
