The Good:

I bought this grill for this summers motorcycle camping adventures. I can't think of a better use for this grill. Narrower main body section gives many options for tying down, and on my bike (a shadow 750) the bottom "foot hole" was able to go over and around my sissy bar and sit on my rack. Pretty sweet. 2 up camping now comes with a BBQ!

The Bad (at least for motorcycle camping):

It is a bit flimsy (but quite stable when open for grilling). With care, I am expecting to get about 50 or so BBQs out of it. After it falls apart I am planning to go to a metal shop in town and have it re-fabricated in some heaver gauge steel. I would be willing to have a little heaver (and smaller) grill for motorcycle camping if it was durable. The grilling surface is large. Expect to need about 3 pounds of charcoal to get it going well, 6 pounds (an entire small bag) of charcoal for a full grill to feed 4+ people. This makes it a requirement to setup camp, and then ride out to get groceries and charcoal. Messy.

I've BBQ'd for years and have to say the "action" on this grill is quite good. If you really have a need for an extremely portable grill, I would definitely recommend it. If you are just looking for a smaller grill for car camping or porch cookouts I would recommend the more traditional Coleman and Weber portable grills with a lid and better durability.

I had been wanting a foldable grill and didn't even know they existed until I came across this one on Amazon. It not only saves TONS of space on my small patio but it delivers in quality of food too! I've had a few bbq's with this grill so far and the quality of food has been phenominal. I find the easiest thing to do is to buy one of those small charcoal bags that all you do is light it no need to open the bag. It fits perfectly in this grill. The cleanup is very easy and not messy at all. And I absolutely love that it folds up to be about 1/2" wide. It takes up no room at all on my patio. I gave up my Weber big grill for this one great decision!!! I highly recommend this grill as it is great for serving about 6 good sized burgers and about 4 hot dogs on the grill at the same time. When I had it delivered at my job a couple of co-workers had me open it and display it for them. Then after that weekend of testing it out, I reported the good news to them and they bought it too. If you're looking for a small portable, durable, inexpensive, & reliable grill -get this one!!!

I bought this grill because I have a small RV camper with limited space. The grill worked great except the grill is on very top with no sides so hot dogs can easily roll off. Also after one use, the paint peeled off and looks terrible. Seems like they could have used heat resistant paint like other grills. Once nice thing is after you finish cooking, you can throw in a couple of small pieces of wood and have a small camp fire. It is made of very thin material so it cools off fast once you dump out the coals so you can pack it up for travel. It would be nice to have a carrying case as it is nearly impossible to put back in the box. Other than that is exactly what I have been looking for for years.

Honest reviews on Fire Sense Hotspot Notebook Portable Grill

It's an OK grill. Can't be moved with ease once lit. It's good for trips to the park with the way it folds up when not in use. I DON'T like the holes in the bottom because the coal dust falls out and this item cannot be put on say something (grass) that can go on fire. With the hole in the bottom there should be some sort of tray to catch the burned out coals that fall. I'm somewhat disapointed.

It is so flimsy that it was bent when I opened it, and as a result, it lost alignment. Don't buy it.

I grill almost everyday in summer and quite a bit even in the winter. So I tend to be a bit hard on my grills and I had never really spent much on my grills and I replace every 2-4 years. This time around though, I fell in love with some of the newer stainless steel grills out there and on some of them it appears that you get more than from Weber: more grilling space, or more BTUs, or just bigger. So I decided to go digging a bit.

I checked consumer reports and this Weber grill is rated the #1 grill out there for the following reasons:

a) very even heating

b) quick heating

c) very solid construction

d) low propensity for flareups

Consumer reports brought out some of the more glaring shortfalls to other grills that were not easily apparent then blinded by all that stainless steel at the local warehouse store. Armed with some consumer reports data I went back to the local stores that have these grills and I started to see what they were saying: plastic where Weber was aluminium, solid doors vs thin with empty backing, open cabinets where Weber has fully enclosed cabinet, cast steel casing where Weber's is Aluminium. Try as I might, I couldn't find the exact model I wanted so after much deliberation I bought the Webber Genesis S-310 from Amazon. I always order from Amazon but I was a bit hesitant to order due to a review of someone getting a dented grill. But since I really wanted the S-310 and I trust Amazon, I went ahead and ordered and everything arrived perfect (Thank you Amazon and Eagle whoever you are).

The Bad:

1) It arrived in a box factory disassembled into a bunch of parts

The Good:

1) It was very well packaged in the box (additionally, most stainless parts had a plastic film to keep from scratching)

2) It shipped and arrived very quickly (within 3 days of ordering standard shipping)

3) No dings or scratches on the grill or even on the box (Eagle did a great job on this one)

4) The fact that the grill was disassembled which allowed me to get to know the grill as I assembled it and raelly appreciate the construction

5) Instructions were clear

6) I have to say that in putting this grill together took about one hour of work and it really had me appreciate the strength of Weber's construction on this product. Its frankly amazing how well constructed this grill is.

7) Construction of this grill is made of stainless steel and cast aluminium with plastic only in the wheels (which are very tough), hose, knobs and a couple of small fittings.

8) The undercarriage is enclosed on all four sides with gorgeous stainless doors which are thick and fully whose back is also stainless.

9)Many details were taken into account, there are adjustments so that the knobs are fully centered.

10) There's a chain to hold a lighting match and the lighting hole is neatly placed on the front right corner of the grill although the grill has electronic ignition.

11) The temperature guage was placed in the front center of the grill and is large and easy to see.

12) The knobs are located on top of the grill which is fantastic if you have small children. It makes it much harder for children to reach the knobs and turn them

13) It doesn't come with a tank (I have 3 so that wasn't a problem)

14) Comes with a drip pan

15) It doesn't have brickettes but comes with very highly angled triangular baffles to cover the burners...the angle of the baffles lessens the likelihood of flareups because grease falls down before it catches on fire

16) Very good warranty on all materials and workmanship

17) It has a tank measure so you know when you're low on propane

18) This grill gets hot. I turned it on high and turned around for a few minutes and it was up to 650 degrees and the flavorizer bars were glowing bright red hot....wow -never had a grill do that before!

19) Very even heating. The burners run left to right on this grill vs front to back. Always in the past, I've had a problem with the back of my grill being hotter than the front. With this grill the heating is more even. There are pros and cons of left to right arrangement of burners vs front to back and probably beyond this review just be aware potential buyer --left to right works very well for me and I find I can do indirect cooking nicely too.

Grilling with this product is fantastic. This is the best grill I have ever owned and I'm glad I own a Weber Genesis S-310. You might find cheaper grills or bigger grills for the same money or higher BTUs but overall, I think you'll be hard pressed to find a "better grill" out there.

I was apprehensive at ordering such a large product from Amazon but amazed at how fast I got it and the store perfect condition it arrived in. One very happy Weber Owner and Amazon shopper.

I spent 6 months doing extensive research on grills before purchasing this unit. At the time of this writing, I have cooked on it approximately 20 times.

Every design aspect of the grill has been thoroughly thought out. It creates over 600F of heat. Due to thick metals, heat is maintained when the top is opened. It can sear steaks effectively. The heat is consistent across the surface without hot or cold spots. Even the doors open and close like a solid, quality appliance. Nothing on this grill is flimsy.

I am extremely happy with this purchase.

My only complaint is that they put the control knobs on top of the right tray, eliminating valuable surface area.

I would also suggest that you buy a recent copy of "Weber Way to Grill", an OXO meat thermometer, and tongs.

A few grilling tips:

Never stab your food with a fork. You will create exit holes for the juices.

Oil food, not the grates.

Before cooking, heat your grill to over 500F for 10 minutes and thoroughly clean grill with stainless steel brush.

Hamburgers should be 3/4" thick. Never push down on them while cooking. They are ready to flip when they remove easily from the surface.

Foods should be salted, oiled, and left on the counter for 30 minutes before grilling.

Allow foods to sit between 5-10 minutes after grilling to allow juices to redistribute.

When using a meat thermometer, take the food off the grill 5-20 degrees less than your target temperature. "Carry Over" is when the outside of the food continues to cook the inside of the food after it has been removed from the heat. This additional cooking is substanial.

Best Deals for Weber 3770001 Genesis S-310 LP Gas Grill, Stainless Steel

Like many people, I scoured reviews on Amazon and elsewhere trying to get a feel for which BBQs were the best in the $500-$800 category--as many have, I've bought the $150 special at Target only to be disappointed with the cooking performance and longevity. Weber grills kept showing up with 5 star ratings, particularly the Genesis E310/S310 models.

I ended up buying a Genesis S-310 from a local brick and mortar store because I didn't have time to wait for shipping from an internet store. Be aware, this grill comes in a HUGE box, weighs 160 lbs. and may be subject to some interstate freight drop-kicking which probably won't hurt what's inside. Your first hurdle will be assembly--the instructions are TERRIBLE. Anyone who tells you they put it together in under an hour is either a liar or assembles grills for a living. In my case, it took 3 tool-handy men about 3 hours to assemble it. For example, one part in step one has to be installed in a certain orientation or the firebox in step 12 won't drop in correctly. Guess who installed it the wrong way and had to undo the work when the grill was already 50% assembled? Another issue we had with the instructions was that there are 4 different types of screws used, but the screws for the door handles were actually different than the ones shown in the instructions--at the end of assembly, we realized that the 4 screws left over were for the handles.

Let's talk about the "stainless steel" on this grill. The lid, handles, grills and doors are stainless steel. The shiny side shelves and other surfaces are stainless veneer, so to speak--bent metal that covers a painted frame. The firebox is some kind of powdercoated metal, but it ain't stainless. It's just an eye-opener to see all the non-stainless steel parts that are covered up as you assemble the grill.

The grill works very nicely--with the 3 burners going, you can easily get the internal temp over 500 degrees F and steaks, fish, and burgers sear quickly and with little sticking on the stainless steel rods. So after using it a few times, I had to replace my LP tank (as I'd started with a 1/2 full one) and then the fun really began! The new tank went on...and no gas would come out. Looked in the instructions, tried what it said, fiddled with the connectors, tried manual lighting...even called Weber who cheerfully tried to talk me through another set of instructions. NO GAS. I had guests waiting to be fed. One guest suggested opening the tank valve just ever-so-slightly so a little gas would flow...and voila! the grill lit up on the first click of the ignitor! Turns out if your tank is filled 100%, the pressure regulator won't let gas flow if you open the valve wide open, so by opening the valve just a little the regulator lets gas flow--essentially bleeding the tank--and after your first grilling session, the tank pressure is no longer high enough to trigger the safety mechanism. Despite the excellent Weber phone service--even on a Sunday afternoon--this scenario wasn't covered in the manual or on the phone.

My bottom line: this is a excellent-performing grill--if you pay full list price it's not a great deal. Considering the premium price, the fit and finish is underwhelming. I haven't had any grills in this price range before this purchase, so I can't compare. But I liked the long warranty and you can't beat the responsiveness of the Weber support staff--that is definitely NOT hype!

Honest reviews on Weber 3770001 Genesis S-310 LP Gas Grill, Stainless Steel

Excellent grilling. Sturdy. I'm glad I spent the extra for the stainless. I was pleased that it came with stainless cooking grates as well. I wasn't expecting that. Plan a couple of hours for assembly, but easy to follow instructions. Putting it together made me appreciate the quality of the grill and it's sturdiness. I'm very pleased with it's performance! I've grilled a variety of meats and vegetables and it has done an excellent job. It does get hot on high -600 degrees or better (great for searing steaks). After warm-up I cook primarily between medium and low. The position of control knobs does limit your counter space. That would be my only complaint.

I have to admit, I don't have the patience to constantly jockey steaks around a grill that has hot and cold spots.

My sons do, and that's why I'm the last one picked for grilling duty.

Even then, the steaks never came out like you get at a good restaurant.

You know, an even pink from top to bottom, no blood red in the middle, no grey edges. The nice sear, yet very moist.

After ruining half the Kabobs (the ones sitting over the hot spots while I started the garlic bread), I decided enough was enough.

My brother always said "Nothing cooks like a Weber".

Not only were his barbecues always great, but even his raving about how that "old school Weber works better than any new barbecue out there" didn't light my bulb.

But after finally taking his advice, and deciding to pony up for (what I thought was an overpriced) Genesis S-310, I've seen the light.

This grill is worth every penny. And its weight in burned Kabobs.

The even heat, and precise control allows me to get that restaurant steak at home. (Yes ME I'm allowed to grill now.)

After getting to know the times and method, (1-3 flips on high to sear depending on the pattern I want, then 1 flip on indirect to finish) now I just set the timer on my watch and not have to keep moving things around to make up for uneven heat.

Now I sound like my brother.... Nothing cooks like a Weber.

Just get one.

This review has nothing to do with any restaurant appetizers, the title for this review just rhymes nicely does it not?

Some background. So I bought a crappy grill from Home Depot about 5 years ago. It looked nice, stainless steel, bla bla bla. But it never was a very good grill. Within two years everything started to rust and fail. So rather than go and buy a new Weber (or other quality product), I've been rebuilding a frankstein grill with superior parts that fit my particular grilling purposes. All the rusted out burners have been replaced with cast iron or ceramic burners which now distribute heat more evenly, and I've been experimenting with different grids (porcelain, stainless steel, cast iron, and these GrillGrates). I have different grids for different kinds of food different kinds of veggies, indirect bake, bbq "smokes", etc.

OK about the GrillGrates. For searing on the grill, I traditionally looked to seasoned cast iron. But lately I find myself using the GrillGrates exclusively for searing and grilling. They are made out of hardened aluminum. This means they are practically non-stick (i usually rub some vegetable oil on the grilling surface before putting food on), easy to clean, and they heat up quickly. You will get great sear marks and even heat over the entire cooking surface. I haven't noticed any dramatic hot spots and there are very few flare ups. Because aluminum conducts heat very efficiently, you can maintain a high temperature surface with low flame, and you can cook on practically the whole thing and get very consistent results.

I got GrillGrates that cover the entire grill so there seems to be less heat convection. Thicker cuts will take a bit longer to cook but the results are fantastic. Well worth the investment.

My only concern is leaching aluminum. My understanding is that hardened aluminum will not leach into food. I try not to use wire brushes as not to scratch the aluminium surface. Anyone out there know more about that? Please share! Thanks!

This unit is paper thin the wire isn't even the diameter of a coat hanger.

The thumb screws angle during tightening the construction is so flimsy.

Don't buy this unit!!!

Click Here For Most Helpful Customer Reviews >>

The slot that the spit goes through is much wider than my standard-sized spit. The first time I used this basket I screwed the thumbscrews onto the spit. About half way through cooking the basket started slipping off of the spit.

The way to secure the basket to the spit is to push the spit rod to one end of the opening and screw the thumbscrew down beside the spit rod on one end and then tighten the thumbscrew down beside the other side of the spit on the opposite end. It's going to look a little odd because the basket is not centered on the spit rod (it is about 1/2 inch high on one side and an equal amount low on the other) but it will turn better without slipping. You'll still get even cooking because of the rotation of the basket.

The stainless basket is easy to clean and the clamping action makes it easy to rotisserie cook small and unusually shaped items. I use it to cook chicken wings and it works great.

First off I have a huge Kenmore Elite (6) burner grill made by Weber. Which is a great grill. However most of the time I am grilling just for myself or up to 3 people tops. To run a grill as big as the (6) burner makes no sense. Last summer with the Big Grill I went through (6) or (7) 20lb propane tanks!

So this year I bought the Weber Q-120. What an amazing grill. It gets up to 400 deg. quick & with the cast iron grill. It makes beautiful sear marks; With 189 sq. inches there is enough room to easily cook for 6-8 people. It uses a single burner which is "conservative" when it comes to propane use. About TWO hours out of a 1 pound tank. If you buy the Weber hose adapter you can hook it up to a 20lb tank & grill al summer off ONE tank!

It puts together easy about 15 minutes. And has many wonderful accessories. i.e.: portable cart (well worth looking into)

Pros: * Sears meat as good if not better than a big grill.

* Very Well Made

* Electronic Ignition (immediate fame FIRST push)

* Cast iron cooking gril

* Cast aluminum body (won't rust)

* Very Portable

* Conservative when it comes to propane use.

Cons: Only 1 minor one. I wish the side tables were metal, so you could fold them away before the grill completely cools. (very minor issue) They probably did not due that due to cost & weight.

They make (6) models 100, 120, 200, 220, 300 & 320 The 100 series is the most compact, 200 series is mid size but still quite portable & the 300 series is plenty big enough for serious entertaining. By adding the "20" at the end of each series you get the fold up & in side tables (which are awesome), A temp. gage & Electronic Ignition!!!! (really awesome)

I highly recommend any of the Weber Q Grills

In typical character for me I over-analyzed this purchase. I carefully looked at various models and got to know the different manufactures. I was really convinced I wanted one of the snazzy stainless ones like the Cuisinart CGG-200. Then I got interested in the extendable legs of the Cuisinart Petite 180. There were other brands I was looking at, some look even snazzier than the Cuisinart. I didn't particularly care for the pac-man look of the Q series.

Then I ran across a store that had most of the others on display Fry's in Portland. After about 5 minutes of looking at all the different models I'd researched on websites such as Amazon I knew they were all cheap, thin gas burners and would be adequate but not great. I went to Lowes and looked at the Q100. I knew after looking it over that this is the RIGHT grill.

DO NOT buy the Weber Q 100 !! It's really worth the little bit extra money to get the Q 120. You get the fold out side shelves, an electronic ignition and the temp gauge. Any one of those items are not worth it but all together it really makes it the right one to get.

Amazon offers a bundle with the Weber 6507 cart DON'T GET IT! The Weber 6549 is only a few bucks more but is a newer design. You don't save much money by getting the bundle. I also ordered the vinyl 6550 cover and 6401 mitt.

The Q 200/220 are significantly larger. The Q 100 is good for 4-5 people which is perfect for me but if you want to be able to cook for more then get the 200 or maybe even the 300 size. But for me it was important to be able to carry in my RV. The 100/120 size fits in the storage compartments of my Jayco with ease. The 200 size might also fit in there but it would be bulky and cumbersome. Bottom line they are significantly different in size. If you are not sure which one you want find them in a local store so you can see the size yourself.

Cooking steaks and burgers on this grill is great. Nice sear marks and great tasting. Night and day difference from the $20 black square tin can style portable grill it replaced.

Amazon pricing on the grill, cart and accessories was great combined with the great shipping due to the Prime account I signed up for.

Best Deals for Weber 516501 Q 120 Portable 189-Square-Inch 8500-BTU Liquid-Propane

After significant research I bought this one based on Weber's rep and my experience with their products. Took about 10 minutes for assembly, very simple. I connected to a gas supply and cranked it up. Lo and behold, it got amazingly hot on the low setting, (450). Perplexed I called Weber and I was sad to learn that while this grill get really hot for searing and fast cooking, (a good thing) it is incapable of temps below 425 degrees, even on the low setting. The very nice Weber customer support folks ultimately told me that this grill isn't really designed for slow cooking or even roasting. I wish that would have been stated in the marketing info. Sadly, as much as I wanted this grill to work for me, I do most of my gas cooking at low temps. I am a huge Weber fan, owning 4 others, but this one doesn't fit the bill.

Conclusion: If you want hot temps for searing I recommend this grill. It's sturdy and well built and if it's like my other Webers it will last you a long time. However, if you need low temperatures for slow cooking, keep looking. I wish Weber would develop a table to bbq that has more variable temps.

Honest reviews on Weber 516501 Q 120 Portable 189-Square-Inch 8500-BTU Liquid-Propane

Designing a good gas grill is tough; there are enough bad full-size gas grills out there to prove this point. However, to get good results with a travel-size version is even tougher. That being said, the best bet is to go with anything made by Weber, as their reputation for innovative design and quality materials are exactly what is needed to succeed in this arena.

Before purchasing this grill, I already owned a Weber Spirit E-310. The E-310 is the best grill I've seen and has made me a "Weber Guy" through and through. Its flavorizer bars create a sizzling sound that is downright therapeutic and, by the way, also actually enhance the flavor of the meat. The grill-marks created by its cast iron grate create perfect grill marks. However, this grill is big, bulky, and by no means portable.

I bought the Q-120 to fill this void, primarily for tailgate parties. I know that comparing this portable grill to the full-size E-310 is apples to oranges, so please don't treat these as "negatives", but instead, more as "trade-offs" for the portability:

1) The Q-120 has no flavorizer bars The description hints at having a "flavorizer system", but I don't see it. The grill is mostly silent during operation (no sizzle unless meat is being added/flipped). The flavor of the meat doesn't show the evidence of the flavorizer treatment either.

2) Indirect cooking is not possible on the Q-120 I like to cook hot dogs on indirect heat to prevent over-charring. Needless to say, you will need to get creative with the meat layouts in order to simulate indirect heat. I have also heard of some people using aluminum foil to create this effect.

3) The Q-120 generates a lot of smoke. There are two large openings on the sides; it looks like the openings were sized for the tables that flip-in, not sized for the required air-flow. Because the openings are so big, it leaves more space for air to exit, which results in longer pre-heat and more smoke being exhausted.

That being said, the Q-120 cooks the food very well. It preheats quickly enough and does cook the food evenly without flare-ups. The porcelain enameled cast-iron grate creates great grill-marks and is easily cleaned. All of the materials used on the grill are high quality and it's obvious that they will remain in working order for a long time. The only real negative I have about the Q-120 is that the drip-pan isn't secured to the grill. It slides in place without effort, but unfortunately it slides out just as easily; which creates an unneeded hassle when traveling with it.

As far as the Q-100 vs. Q-120 debate goes, there is no doubt that the Q-120 is worth the extra money. The Q-120 has three differences to discern it from the Q-100:

1) Thermometer Cooking without a thermometer makes no sense to me. There are some ways of estimating the grill's heat without a thermometer, but unless you're a pro, you're mostly flying blind. Sure, you can use a meat thermometer, but that's just another thing to take with you during the trip.

2) Electric ignition Way more reliable than what is found on the Q-100.

3) Flip-out side tables When I bought the grill, this wasn't a big selling point. However, in practice, I was surprise to find how much I actually needed them. If you are buying a Q-1X0 for its versatility, these are a must-have.

If it were possible to fall in love with a grill then I am in love. The Weber Q120 Portable Gas Grill exceeds all of my expectations and the Weber Rolling Cart that I ordered to go with it is the perfect companion for it. I have owned many grills in my life since I am 67 years old but this grill is by far the best one I have ever had. I did quite a bit of research on Amazon and other sites before making the decision to buy this one. I had decided that I didn't want a large grill with multiple burners this time and didn't want to have to deal with the big propane tanks since I would only be grilling for 1 to 4 people at a time. I would be storing it in the garage and wanted to be able to easily wheel it out when using it and then wheel it back inside when finished. The grill did require some assembly that took maybe 20 minutes to complete but the Rolling Cart came totally assembled and only required unfolding. I was impressed from the beginning with the heft and quality of the materials used to construct this grill and how well it fit together. I ordered the Q120 model because it has two fold out shelves, a thermometer and an electric starter that the Q100 doesn't have. The little extra cost for the Q120 is worth it. The Q 100 and Q120 will both fit securely on the Weber Rolling Cart so you don't have to mess with having to rig up a table to set the grill and your supplies on. The small canister tanks are very convenient to deal with and the electric starter on the Q120 lights up the grill on the first touch every time. The cooking grate is very heavy, makes great grill marks and cleans easily with a wire brush. I have had this grill for about two weeks now, have used it six times and everything has turned out perfectly with it. The rolling cart also folds down to make this whole outfit portable for tail gating and camping. I highly recommend the Weber Q120 Gas Grill Weber 516501 Q 120 Gas Grill and Rolling Cart. Love the cover and it fits like it is tailor made. I use it both outside and when the grill is stored in my garage.

It's a bit large for the electric grill, but it's well made and sturdy. Since it's a bit large, the wind sometimes blows it off the grill but the straps keep it on the deck so I don't have to go chasing it all over the neighborhood.

This cover doubles as a carry bag. That is the best part of the cover. Yes it also can be used as a grill cover.

Honest reviews on Cuisinart CGC-19 VersaStand Grill Tote Cover

Got through Amazon...Cover seems durable, and when you want to carry the grill, it comes in handy. Keep in mind when carrying the grill, its like 1/2 the bag open, but has nice handles. Plenty of room to carry it with bottle installed, and a few extra things.

The bag is way too big for the grill. Also it being soft sided it allows the grill to freely roll around inside while being carried. Just will not work in the motor home. Ended up getting a plastic storage bin that works just fine. Keeping the bag to store the laundry however since that is sqishable.

Supposed to be exact replacement but had to make modifications to grill to get mounted on grill. Now works as good as original picture not exact though. Doesn't have warm, bbq, grill bar under degree readings.

Already fogged up but it does clear temporarily every time I turn on the heat. I suppose that's most important.

I am assuming that the image has changed since previous reviews, because I received the item in the image. This temperature gauge is perfect for registering many types of meat: chicken, beef, fish etc. I found it was simple to use, and a great deal for the price.

My smoker was received as a wedding gift in 1992. We have been very pleased with this smoker over the years. It has turned out succulent smoked turkey, chicken, fish, and pork roasts. Sadly, this morning, as I proceeded to smoke a brined turkey, the plug kept tripping the breaker. I think that may be salt related as we've been near the ocean the last two years. I cannot complain. We got our use out of it and I would replace it with the same one if Brinkmann cannot sell me a replacement heating element first, as the rest of the smoker is still in good condition. I actually prefer smoking over grilling because my food does not ignite.

This is the most convenient way that I have found to prepare delicious chickens. Just add water, plug it in, go have fun for 4 hours and the food is ready to enjoy.

Whether or not you have a Cusinart grill or perhaps a different brand, don't bother buying another grill surface pan. This surface grilling pan has a removable wood plank and pizza stone to reveal a very nice, solidly made surface for delicate fish, veggies, etc. This is a bonus! If you are just browsing and not closely looking at the item you may not realize that this one comes apart and is not a solid unit.

You may be considering buying the Cuisinart Simply Grilling Nonstick Grilling Platter, I would say, don't. No offense Amazon or Cusinart. This one serves the same purpose plus it adds so many more options. Why would you buy the other and turn around and wind up buying both when you can have the best of both worlds in one unit?

Okay, it costs more initially, soooo.... the point is? Especially if you wind up buying both? That's not cost effective.

Great multi-surface pan with so many interchangeable parts, only your imagination will stop you.

(P.S. By the way, men are not King of the Grill! Men come to my house for my delicious grilling. So, don't be afraid women of the world! Ha ha).

The Cuisinart Omni Panel works great with my Cuisinart Gas Grill. Mostly I use it for shrimp/scallops and vegetables but it grills a mean trout on the plank ( the ones from the hardware store fit perfectly) and I have even baked a pretty good little pizza on it. Your not going to feed an army from it but for two to four people it is perfect.

the parts were fine but I found the shipping cost rediculous I.E. $20.00 for apx.1 lb of freight sent 3rd class. Unfortunately It was my only option, fix my grille or buy a new one. the original parts were cheaply made and rusted out inside the grille cover. I understand if the parts were shipped next day air for the $20 bucks. Felt like i got screwed!

Love these. I bought 6 of them for a campout. I'd love to see the metal ring end coated with something to make it none heat conducting, becase taking the meat off the skewers was a very painful experience without having pot holders!
