Have had the Nomex gasket on my egg now for about two months, It has not shrunk yet as some have stated. The gasket was pretty easy to apply, follow the instructions that come with it, do not stretch the gasket when applying, but compress the gasket along the inside edge of the egg. I will update if my gasket shrinks as some have stated. the hardest part was removing the old wool gasket.

Installing this gasket is actually easier than it looks in those Youtube videos! The length is generous, and the gasket has no tendency to ripple as it is fed around the ceramic edge. Highly recommended!!

The product is fine, but if one watches videos on the installation, they recommend installing the strip on the lid and the base. There is only enough product to do one side in this package. I did some internet shopping and found the same thing with enough for the lid and the base for $23 with free shipping. I wish I would have shopped sooner and saved over $15.....oh wait a minute...the other place was double this order so I would have saved $30. (That is ridiculous!)

Works well the only issue was I had to adjust my lid for my BGE .Seems to be a little thicker than the other one
