Needed a Smoker for Home and Camping -this one seemed like it was exactly what I wanted and pleased to see that it is.
It was fairly easy to assemble -although, I had to redrill (open) a couple of the hinge sleeves.
The first thing I smoked was (2) full rack of ribs. They turned out very well -might have been overdone a little bit. I had a hard time trusting the front dial thermometer. I think it was hotter than what the dial indicated. First of all -the dial thermometer didn't register any temperature at all until I tapped with my finger. Not a good sign.
For my next smoker use -I smoked (2) whole chickens.
Before did this I replaced the orginal dial thermomter with the 3" River Country (RC-T3) Easy Mount Adjustable BBQ, Grill, Smoker Thermometer (100 to 550 F) -(sold on Amazon).
You will have to open the front dial mounting hole to 1/2" to install this dial thermomter.
I also purchased the Coleman High-Pressure Propane Hose and Adapter (sold on Amazon).
The smoker uses the 1 lb disposable propane bottles...I just wanted to adapt it to my 20 lb propane tanks.
It is cheaper to use this way and more convenient if using at home.
The (2) whole chickens turned out excellent....took about 6 hours. By using the new 3" Thermometer -I was assured of the accurate temperature and the smoker held the temperature very well.
I'd give the smoker 5 stars -but, kept it at 4 stars since I had some assembly mods (redrilling) and the orginal thermometer is worthless.

Very pleased with the performance and value. However, I now realize that I should have gotten an electric smoker. That would save the constant babysitting of the flame. There should be a better way to regulate and monitor the temperature
