Gets one star, because 0 is not an option. Measures against a Maverick unit and a Poldor instant read. Those 2 were within 2 degrees. This gauge was off by 20 to 40 degrees. So it is useless and can't be calibrated

I've ordered several of these and have not been disappointed. I've put them on private back yard pits as well as local livestock show competeition pits and they serve their purpose well.

This gauge is easy to read and I especially like the different colors for the cooking ranges. Plus, a bonus was that it came 1 day earlier than it was supposed to.
