Substantial and well made. The wooden handle stays cool even over a roaring blaze. I knew when I ordered that the handle was going to stick out of the side of my smaller OLD SMOKEY charcoal grill, but it worked out for the better. The grill cover just fits over the basket but with the handle protruding, and that creates some extra airflow that really gets the grill roaring, so the burgers cook quickly with a nice sear. The little ring that holds the sides together does sometimes slip loosely and could slide so the sides could open unexpectedly, but it has not really been a problem since I am careful to watch for it. The basket was easy enough to clean and I have had no problems with sticking, but I always oil it up first. I would recommend this item without reservation.

The slider that is supposed to keep this basket closed is WAY too big. VERY sloppy. I will have to modify it to use it. I noticed other buyers had the same gripe in their reviews. I would not recommend this to a friend.

The basket seems well made, although it seems a little too thick to clamp a burger tightly in place. I'm not sure how it will do with pre-formed beef, pork, or turkey patties.

The ring that keeps the basket closed is way oversized. I had to grab a couple of heavy pliers and flatten it or it would have never held the basket closed................
